We went there for dinner three times within a week. The schnitzel was top-notch, and the fish was perfectly cooked and simply delicious. A small, fine restaurant with a lot of charm. The owner was always kind and friendly, and I appreciate his son (the waiter), a very friendly and polite young man. We really enjoyed it.

A quaint restaurant with a truly beautiful interior. You immediately feel at home; everything is lovingly decorated and cozy. The cuisine is an exciting mix of East Frisian and Nepalese dishes. We had a bit of both and were absolutely delighted with the taste. Everything was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and truly delicious. I would particularly like to highlight the schnitzel with pepper sauce: one of the best sauces I've ever had. The price is a bit on the high side, which is a shame, but the quality is excellent. If you want to try something different and appreciate a cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Absolutely. The service was very friendly and attentive. I had plaice with crab and fried potatoes, along with a small salad. I should have skipped the salad, as it meant I couldn't quite finish the fried potatoes. The Buddel Huus is highly recommended. They even had the "Dornkaat" (a kind of sausage), which you rarely get here in the Ruhr area. So, let's go.

We first went to the Buddel Huus and a few days later to Käthe and Karl's next door for dinner. My wife and I will prefer the Buddel Huus in the future because it offers better value for money. You get more for your money at the Buddel Huus, and the food is excellent. The food at Käthe and Karl's is also good, but far overpriced.

Very friendly owner and staff. We had the Indian dishes and everything was delicious. The decor may be a bit dated, but it's cozy. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside. Reservations are recommended, as it's usually very busy, especially during "normal" dining hours. You can also pay with debit cards. We'd love to eat there again on our next vacation.

The schnitzel tasted good, but the fries were okay. I think the portion size of €11.90 is too expensive for that. My chicken curry for €19.90 was very tasty, and the portion was large. The Holstein-style schnitzel with fried potatoes for €21.50 was, uh, difficult. The schnitzel tasted good, but the fried potatoes were just deep-fried potatoes, and the glaze was OK. Personally, I thought it was a real shame to charge €0.50 each for a small bowl of ketchup and mayo, given the high prices. Conclusion: The chicken curry was delicious, but the rest was okay. I tried it once, but I don't think I'll be back.

Very cozy atmosphere, the staff is friendly and attentive. And the Indian dishes are simply delicious. You should definitely reserve a table in advance, though. A tip for all wheelchair users: the ground floor is almost barrier-free, and if you mention when you make your reservation that you're coming in a wheelchair, the owner will do everything he can to ensure you have comfortable seating 👍👍👍 By the way, the price/performance ratio is also top-notch! We'll be back, and in the years to come. This year we were lucky with the weather and were able to eat in the beer garden next door. We love it ❤️

We can highly recommend the Buddel Huus, we were here today on our first day of vacation. Taking our dog with us was no problem. We had the schnitzel Bombay and Jäger Art. Both very tasty, a reasonable schnitzel that didn't come from the freezer, the sauce with fresh mushrooms and the white cabbage salad were also very tasty. Next time we will try the fish. The staff was still being trained, but they tried very hard. Full 5 stars, highly recommended.

Wären dort gerne mit 8 Erwachsenen und 2 Kids Speisen zu gegangen.Der besitzer schien sehr überfordert zu sein.Er wollte tatsächlich über WhatsApp wissen was wir den Speisen wollen! Als wir es verneinten wir wollten ja im Lokal das passende für jeden einzelnen bestellen.Wurde er sehr unfreundlich mit dem Worten wir sollten sein Lokal nie mehr betreten.Da wir dort noch nie waren und wir uns von Rezessionen blenden lassen haben muß ich anmerken.Dieses Lokal mag schön sein aber der besitzer höchst unfreundlich!! Brauche ich nicht werde ich auch nicht weiter empfehlen.

Went to the Dusend Buddel Huus again yesterday. Beautiful ambience! Very tasty dishes. Had the pollack with garlic oil, tomatoes etc. Plenty of fish 🐟. Deliciously fried. Service super friendly and nice. Can really recommend. Definitely worth a visit. The landlord and the staff are brilliant. Food anyway. We always enjoy coming here. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.

Went there for the first time yesterday following a recommendation from friends and we weren't disappointed. Very good food, I had the Cambodia schnitzel which was a good portion, with fries, where we were also told that if we wanted more fries, let us know. Service was very attentive, the interior design is reminiscent of an old pub from the Pott (that's where I come from) and you feel comfortable. It wasn't the last time there. My companion was also very satisfied

I can't understand all the good reviews! We ate here for the first time today. Unfortunately there is no atmosphere in the beer garden. Not even a candle on the table. The service was very friendly and accommodating! The food took a very long time. Apparently new staff in the kitchen. At first I wanted a mushroom schnitzel, but I first asked if it was canned mushrooms because I don't like that at all. Yes, unfortunately from a can, so I decided on schnitzel in curry sauce. My son had a paprika schnitzel. Neither of the sauces were homemade, I just say. It definitely tasted like a finished product! My small side salad was disgusting as it was drowned in ready-made dressing! We paid 70 euros for 3 main courses, the side salad and 3 drinks. And it just annoys me to no end when I'm presented with finished products!!!

A visit to this restaurant is definitely worth it, it's clear to us that we'll be happy to come back.

Wir waren gestern Abend in diesem gemütlichen Restaurant essen. War sehr sehr gut. Der Salat voraus war der absolute Hammer wie gewünscht mit Essig und Oel angemacht. Der Chef und die Bedienung sehr höflich und nett. Wir mussten einen Moment warten, aber hat sich gelohnt. Das Restaurant war auch sehr voll und haben zum Glück reserviert. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen.

After entering the restaurant, we (two people) were seated at a free table. 5 minutes later the boss came and asked us to vacate the table because four people suddenly came into the restaurant after us. We were told to “take a seat” at a table with only one chair. One could have sat and one had to stand. If we don't want that, then we should leave. You shouldn't treat your guests like that. UPDATE Reply to the owner We didn't just sit down but reported to the waiter. He had assigned us a (unreserved) table. After we sat, they came and asked us to stand up again. Is this how you treat your guests?

This nice little restaurant is a good choice for eating out. At second glance, the fish restaurant has a very Indian feel, but that's not a criticism. But looking at the map makes you dizzy.
