Incredibly good restaurant in Alsterdorf The food was incredibly delicious. We tried various sushi rolls and gyoza. The food was beautifully presented and of really high quality. Service was appropriately fast and professional. You can tell the waiters are doing a good job. Very polite. The restaurant is very nice and has some outdoor seating. The seats face the street, but that's not a problem at all. Fortunately, the street isn't very busy, so you don't notice it. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but absolutely reasonable for the quality and service. We came during the week without a reservation. We'll definitely be back.

We have been to Tsubaki several times. The sushi is very good, the rest of the food deserves a grade of ok and is very expensive. Now it happened to us twice in a row that the bill was brought to us thirty minutes before closing time and two minutes later we were informed that we had to pay now. We had barely finished our meal. I think that has little to do with hospitality. Then tables were moved loudly so that we could just leave the restaurant quickly and on time. Here the atmosphere does not match the price performance. Sorry. We won't come back.

If I could I would give it six stars. I have eaten here many times in the restaurant and always feel valued as a guest. Very friendly service. The ambience is bright and appealing. Really good food, even for vegetarians. Plenty of selection of sushi and maki rolls. It is possible to call in advance and order dishes in advance, as there is no delivery service, you have to make your own way, this is not a problem for me as I live nearby. I love the TSUBAKI and can highly recommend it. Update from 4/11/25 once again had a delicious meal. Today we decided on the sushi platter for two people... MEGA! And it was plenty, we didn't manage to do it all. We're already looking forward to the next time. Thank you for the nice service.

The food was delicious. The vegetables were freshly prepared and the dishes were well-seasoned. The service was friendly.

Unfortunately for me the food was in no way better than in an average snack bar. The sauces lacked flavor, the meat was not good, the vegetables tasted boring. Was it partly TK? The prices are not justified.

As always, a great sushi ship, which was extremely fresh and delicious. The Tom Kah Gai soup beforehand is also a poem, simply good. We'll definitely be back soon

Unfortunately the place was quite disappointing. We had reserved a table for 8 p.m. today, but we still had to wait in line until 8:40 p.m. At least champagne and juice were offered during the waiting time, but the fact that you have to wait so long despite having a reservation is unbelievable. The offering is balanced, there is a good selection of dishes. I had the chicken in peanut sauce. Besides the waiting time, that was probably my biggest disappointment. Bland taste, rice had a hard consistency and nothing special in taste, I didn't get the impression of high quality. I paid more than €20 for this, which I find to be an absolute disgrace considering the portion and the taste. I got the same thing at the Bremen train station for €7 of a higher quality. The atmosphere is cozy, but I think it could be more authentic. To be fair, one has to add to all of this that it was Valentine's Day and so there was a huge crowd. Nevertheless, for such prices you should be able to expect good service even on such days. Unfortunately not the best experience.

The Rolls are just good. Price - performance is right. However, this does not apply to the other dishes. Tofu with vegetables for 22.50 euros is completely exaggerated.

Food was very good. Unfortunately the service is not. Disinterested, slow, not very friendly. Too bad. This clearly destroyed the initially positive impression. Update: Two years later, things have improved a lot and I go here often. Quality is still really good, service is mostly good and often friendly.

Large and modern restaurant. Despite 80% occupancy, the noise level was kept within limits, even though there are few room dividers. If the weather is good you can also sit outside. Staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Get a free basket of shrimp chips to start with and a schnapps on the house at the end. For me the best sushi I've eaten so far. Very good quality fish and not so much rice with the makis. The tempura shrimp is also highly recommended. For dessert I ordered a baked banana with mango ice cream, which was also very tasty, but four slices of banana wasn't enough for me. What I unfortunately discovered the next morning at home was that all the clothes I had on that evening smelled strongly of a chip shop, so much so that I even had to wash my jacket after a three-hour stay, even though there wasn't much of a smell in the restaurant.

The price-performance ratio is a bit off. I had the salmon steak with red curry. The quality of the salmon was very good, only the steak was quite small for the price. And should have been grilled on the skin. There was also a bowl of regular coconut soup in which the vegetables were very overcooked. The soup was certainly pre-cooked as standard and is then served with all dishes with coconut soup, only slightly modified. I know coconut soup from Thailand and it is much creamier there. It has a lot more flavor of its own, you can taste the lemongrass, the fresh coriander... I also know red curry to be spicy. There was no question of any of this. There is still a lot of room for improvement. There was a 1 star deduction for the service because the ladies simply burst into conversations with any questions, which is very rude. They have to learn patience, wait carefully, make themselves known and let the guest decide when they want to take a break from the conversation...I expect that for the price range.

I'm sorry to say that we ended up there by chance (based on Google reviews, restaurant nearby). And we thought the restaurant was really great!!! The ambience is harmonious and stylish. The service appears professional and reserved. (Just everyone's white, ironed blouses and the chefs so well dressed, chick!). Our food was super good. Very fresh, very tasteful. Nicely prepared. You can see the food in the pictures, together with two large non-alcoholic drinks it came to €51. Not cheap, but worth the price all in all. Toilets in the basement (with lots of stairs to climb), but clean and chic.

I'm rather disappointed...the food was bland and bland. Had curry chicken, saltless, bland...the sushi beforehand was delicious, the bowls are otherwise tastier and the stews too! Service was a bit slow, four of us ate and had to wait a long time for our drinks, even though it wasn't that full! The ambience is a bit like in the big hall, the lighting is terrible.

The best thing we've eaten in a long time. The sushi was simply fabulous and so was the main course. Highly recommended.

I found the selection on the menu good and varied. I ordered sushi and everything tasted good. Personally, I don't like too much sauce on sushi because it drowns out the real taste of the product. The room is very large, more like a hall. The waiting time for food and drinks was a bit too long. But overall a nice restaurant. Thank you, we would love to come back and try the warm dishes.

The Asian restaurant near the Hamburg sports hall surprised us positively...even if one or two of the employees still have a bit of room for improvement when it comes to service! A varied menu, modern and comfortably furnished and, when the weather is good, with an outdoor terrace.

The food is simply wonderful for this price range and very well presented. The service is good and friendly. Unfortunately the ambience is a bit too bright for me, but everyone should have to decide that for themselves. All in all, great restaurant for sushi lovers.

We went there as a couple for lunch during the week. Top fish soup in the menu and really excellent bento plate at a fair price (approx. €17), quick and courteous service.

The two stars are for the mango juice and the ambience. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio was disappointing. Mango salad 0815, price for fried rice, noodles with hands completely covered. We were here once and loved it, but since then the quality has declined and the prices have risen disproportionately.

If you're there, it's worth eating here. We eat there very regularly, especially for lunch, and I recommend Bento 3. Otherwise, Lady Crazy and Crispy Chicken are the best rolls and can only be recommended. The Tsubaki is an institution in Alsterdorf! The waiters are also really nice, but not above average there, but the spacious ambience makes everything perfect!

A very, very beautiful and modern location. No kitsch - straight forwardness, which I think is great. The food looked postcard-perfect and tasted wonderful. I like it when the service employees are dressed classically and uniformly. That's how it is there. Service quality: perfect (you can't say anything more about it. Conclusion: Highly recommended!

Recommended for lovers of authentic Japanese-Asian cuisine, unfortunately with glutamate and no longer cheap. Spacious, bright rooms and a clean, visible kitchen. Tables are spaced well apart, so there is even room for dogs and children! Attentive, reserved service. Toilets in the basement, so unfortunately not barrier-free! Otherwise there is a spacious, sheltered outdoor terrace facing the street. Always worth a visit!

The first visit was not so pleasant. The vegetarian food (tofu with vegetables) was very bland. The baked duck was a bit tough. The price is too high for that. The service was friendly but inattentive to forgetful. Maybe you should ask about satisfaction to get feedback.

Came to the restaurant around 6:00 p.m., the place wasn't full... 2 out of 4 people had ordered a starter, unfortunately it didn't come until after the main course because they were simply forgotten. Chicken with cashew very disappointing, tasted like glutamate and ready-made bag!!! Satay skewers barely cooked through, far removed from what I know in Asia!!! Peanut sauce tasted like cheap sauce from a jar, bitter and hardly any peanut taste. Staff seemed listless and overwhelmed…. Shame about the money!!!!

Update: Yesterday we were here again by chance. And this time everything was just perfect. Food, service and ambience. So this time it really deserves 5 stars.

In my opinion, some of the best sushi in all of Hamburg. Very polite service, fantastic food and fairly priced. At the end there is a schnapps or even espresso on the house. Where else can you find something like this today?! We always enjoy coming to Tschubaki. A great asset for Winterhude / Alsterdorf.

Das Shushi war mittelmäßig und ist auseinandergebröselt. Musste es letztendlich mit einer Gabel essen :D Gyoza war viel zu hart. Der Service war ok, aber leider hat es lange gedauert (obwohl kaum Gäste da waren). Insgesamt eine durchschnittliche Erfahrung. Man kann dort essen, aber wenn es noch andere Restaurants in der Nähe gibt, würde ich nicht Tsubaki wählen.

Wir sind heute auch zum ersten Mal in den Genuss gekommen, im TSUBAKI zu essen. Was soll ich sagen. Es war herausragend. Eine sushi Rolle zur Vorspeise war ein absoluter Genuss und ich habe es fast bereut ein Hauptgericht bestellt zu haben und nicht noch mehr Sushi. Aber dieser Ärger ist schnell verflogen als ich das Hauptgericht probiert habe. Absoluter Hammer. Wirklich ein toller Laden und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Dann wird noch mehr Sushi probiert.

War zum Mittagstisch dort und absolut begeistert. Toller Service mit wirklich leckerem Essen, alles frisch. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wir sind bereits seit Eröffnung Stammkunden. Leider sind wir das nach der saftigen Preiserhöhung nicht mehr. Wenn jetzt ab 1.1.24 die Mehrwertsteuer auf 19% angehoben wird, ist das Essen gehen im Tsubaki nicht mehr zu bezahlen. Ich habe noch die Preisliste, die vorn am Eingang ausgelegen hat und gestern habe ich bestellt. Leider kostet die Ente in Kokosmilch statt vorher 19,90 jetzt plötzlich 23,50 (!!) Sorry, aber mit einem Getränk dazu bin ich bei knapp 30€. Das ist es mir nicht mehr wert. Und wenn jetzt statt 7% ab Januar 24 dann noch 19% MwSt dazukommt…?? Leute, Ihr übertreibt es jetzt aber doch ein wenig! Schade, das Essen ist sehr lecker dort und das Ambiente auch. Aber ggü gibt es einen Asiagrill, da kostet das Essen nur die Hälfte und schmeckt genauso gut.

Wir sind spontan vorbei gekommen und wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war schnell da und es war super lecker. Gemüse knackig und geschmacklich richtig gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir haben leider recht lange auf das Essen warten müssen, da sie unterbesetzt waren. Die Snacks vorweg waren lecker und haben uns das Warten erleichtert. Das Essen an sich war dann aber recht unspektakulär.

Food was delicious. But the service was dreadful! Sideeyed the entire stay, snarky comments during our time there. Never felt welcomed. Decided not to tip due to this, and had to deal with the horrible attitude of the waitress being passive aggressive about this. Why would we tip for being treated badly the entire night. The good food isn't worth dealing with this attitude

I do not write reviews but felt a need to after eating here. The waitress judged the orders we made, questioned our choices. Was giving us uncomfortable glances the whole evening. Every time she came to the table felt uncomfortable. Upon time to pay, we did not tip due to this service, and we were asked where we came from and challenged on our decision to omit the non-obligatory tip. Despite good food, I will never return.

Wunderschön eingerichtetes Restaurant und absolut leckeres Essen! Wir haben eine große Platte Sushi sowie ein Thai Curry bestellt. Alles kam in angemessener Zeit dafür, dass es frisch zubereitet wurde. Obwohl wir recht spät kamen, wurde uns nicht einmal das Gefühl gegeben, dass wir uns beeilen müssten oder man gerne langsam Feierabend machen möchte. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne öfter!

Einfach eine Superlative wenn es um asiatisches Essen insbesondere Sushi geht, hier seid ihr richtig, super freundliches Personal sehr humane Preise und mega Qualität, wir kommen sehr gerne hierhin und das nicht nur einmal 😍
