Die positiven Bewertungen anderer Gäste sind leider nicht nachvollziehbar: Essen absolutes Mittelmaß und ein Glas gewöhnlichen Montepulcianos für 10.- EUR ist schlichtweg Wucher. Bedienung freundlich, Umgebung angenehm und gepflegt.

Pizza was delicious, unfortunately the soft drinks were not carbonated, which doesn't surprise me if they come from a 1 liter bottle. Unfortunately the atmosphere is boring and a bit run down. The staff felt like they were watching you because there was nothing going on.

Sono venuta qui con una amica e apparte che di piatti toscani non ce ne sono , si passa dal vitello tonnato alla carbonara ecc ma purtroppo anche male elaborati. Nei miei rigatoni (pasta precotta) le melanzane erano innacquate e le altre crude inoltre con pessima qualità della salsa. La pasta alla diavola aveva i funghi, ci è stato chiesto dallo chef come fosse andata e lui ha insistito che nella diavola ci sono i funghi. Io lo vedo un ristorante italiano per turisti , se veramente facessimo provare la nostra VERA cucina ad uno straniero apprezzerebbe davvero. Un po’ come dire che la carbonara ha la panna voi ditemi se è una vera carbonara de poi anche mal cucinata questo rende pessima l’esperienza.

Staff very unmotivated. Pizza very salty. Asked for an invoice and didn't get one, you had to take action to remind them. Window seat very narrow and no space to eat comfortably. No parking facility. Price line way too high!

The staff was very unfriendly. The pizza was still half raw and so was the meat. We were assured by phone that we would still have a place, but when we were in the restaurant 20 minutes later, we were treated very unfriendly and reluctantly sat down at a table. The restaurant closed at 10:30 p.m. We were there at 8:30 p.m. and were already rushed and we had the feeling that they wanted to get rid of us quickly. When we didn't give a tip we were looked at with derogatory looks. Definitely not recommended!

Unfriendly service! The stay as well as the food were inedible. In the middle of our main course it was suddenly decided to make it earlier today, from 11 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. We had just under half an hour to leave the store. We were told every minute that we should hurry up. Due to the unrest of all the employees, the food came to the table still raw, the steak had almost managed to leave the table again, the pizza only saw the oven from the outside. In all the turmoil and hectic pace, we didn't manage to finish the food or finish the wine, but of course we still had to pay the full price, which was way overpriced! Completely unorganized shop, the restaurant has the level of a snack bar and the prices of a star kitchen. There is a world of difference between dreaming and implementing! Started the new year with construction pains!

I would prefer not to give any stars at all! Everything there is disorganized and rude staff. After a few complications, we sat at the table and waited for the menu. Over time, the neighboring tables also filled up with new people who also got tickets straight away and the order was taken. At some point a water bottle was simply placed on the table even though we still didn't get a card and hadn't ordered anything. All the waiters always looked at us but didn't react to the fact that we wanted a card. After a few times we were discovered and then we were told there would be no more tickets and the waiter ran away straight away. After such chaos and such an action, we just got up and wanted to leave. Then all the waiters came and asked if they had done something wrong. After we had listed everything, there was no apology, NOTHING! Not recommended!!

The food is very delicious and the service also very welcoming and fast, i really recommend it

Very good pasta, we had four different ones, all of them were really tasty and not the run-of-the-mill versions like most Italians. Very good location, good service, slightly overpriced meat dishes.

The location is nice, but the ambience was not harmonious, the tablecloth was dirty and broken and the waitress wasn't very interested in our living conditions. The spaghetti carbonara didn't have much in common with the original and the pizza was soggy. In my opinion the ingredients were not very high quality. When the waiter didn't get a tip from us when we paid, he was unfriendly, didn't thank us, gave us reproachful looks and didn't say goodbye. That wasn't a nice visit to a restaurant. No recommendation.

Very disapointed, bad light, very poor service. Quantity of the portion was quite big, but the quality was not so good. Wine sold as Primitivo was clearly not Primitivo.

Unfortunately the tablecloth was already dirty and was not replaced. The pizza was soggy and had ingredients of poor quality. The carbonara was with cream and bacon and therefore anything but good. After we didn't give a tip, the waitress was annoyed and we were only given dirty looks when we left. Not recommended given the high prices.

Me encantó este lugar! No soy un fan de la comida alemana, así que estaba feliz de encontrar un buen restaurante italiano mientras visitaba el mercado de Navidad. Tuve la lasaña, y posiblemente fue la mejor que he probado mientras viajaba por Alemania. El servicio fue genial, la camarera hablaba inglés e incluso me trajo un menú en inglés. Ella era muy atento.

En nuestro viaje a heidelberg hemos hecho una parada para almorzar en él Trattoria Toscana. Hemos pedido espaguetis a la carbonara , feduccini , una lasaña y de postre un tiramisú y estaba todo muy rico. Los camareros eran rápido. Muy atentos y amables con el servicio.

Unfriendly waiters, you are only treated with respect if you look like you have a fortune. The food is just terrible. The lasagne was still frozen in the middle. Of the 5 people, 3 complained of nausea and stomach pain afterwards. Definitely not recommended.

The food is very good. We ordered some gnocchi with pumpkin and gorgonzola and a Mediterranean pizza.

Super good Italian restaurant. Highly recommended. Pizza excellent, pasta excellent. Starters very tasteful and authentically Italian. It's just a shame that there are no cloth napkins in such a good restaurant, that would be fair to the ambience and class.

Minestrone (essentially it consisted of mushy cauliflower and broccoli) and bruschetta (baked baguette) definitely not recommended, pasta mediocre. Nice lady in service, but at the prices quoted I can expect a clean, intact tablecloth and not one with the stains of the previous guests. Location of the restaurant is nice: in the old town with a view outside

The restaurant itself, the atmosphere and the food were very good except for two points. Don't expect too much from the starters here and take the paper towels with you when you go to wash your hands. Otherwise really good and steaks of all kinds are recommended, although the prices are correspondingly high. You can spend an enjoyable evening here 😉

It's Italian cuisine mixed with German culture, but still a good place to eat

My wife and I recently visited Heidelberg and while strolling through the picturesque town center were fortunate enough to find this culinary gem at about noon. I’m an Italian from the U.S. state with the highest Italian population ratio. I love it o cook for my family. I can tell you this trattoria was a wonderful surprise! The highlight of the delicious meal was the minestrone soup. A medley of perfectly complimentary fresh vegetables in a delectable broth.

The prices are almost twice as high as other trattorias/restaurants. As an example: 0.75l of still mineral water can cost €8.50 here and the cheapest pizza for €14.50 is only topped with mozzarella and five basil leaves. Its dough tastes unusual, like normal white bread. The pizza was crispy, tasted okay, but in my opinion not very authentic or fair to the price. The plate was taken away from my father while he was taking the last bite, but the service was otherwise friendly enough. Overall, I can hardly recommend this trattoria if you want to enjoy real Italian pizza. However, if you prefer the location and want to try other dishes, I advise you to drink the water from the toilet sink, which you can get for an unbeatable €0 with the same taste.

A truly excellent restaurant. The dishes were fantastic and tasted fine. Plus a really good wine and friendly, attentive but not intrusive service with great timing. In short: the whole family was thrilled :-)

Food is average. However, some drink prices are high. We sat at the entrance for 3 people, but it felt cold because it was close to the door. We wanted to move to another table, but the waiter rejected our request, saying that you are 3 people, you cannot move to a table for 4 people. In the final, we had a problem with the change when we gave 100€ to the 79€ account because it did not have any change. 25% tip?!?

The pizza was a bit undercooked and the egg in the carbonara was scrambled. It didn't taste bad, just pretty mediocre. I expected more for 20€ per person.

Nice place centrally in Heidelberg next to the Holy Spirit Church. Romantic location with its own charm. Food was delicious, so the starter was the bruschetta, consisting of two variations and olives. All very tasty. Also a cheese plate; which was unfortunately a little one-sided. I wouldn't order again. Then we had the spaghetti bolognese and tagliatelle with pesto. Both large portions and very tasty. After asking, we also got more parmesan, which was great.

I do not know how they got 5 stars. I ordered the fillet and it had NO TASTE!! NO SEASONING, NO FLAVOR! The 2 tiny potatoes were boiled, the 5 pieces of vegetables were stale! The bolognese was Chef Boyardee - BAD; greasy flat tasteless and the pasta was undercooked. We asked for bread - it was day old hard bread with NO FLAVOR! When that bread came out and it was so bad I said oh no, this is not a good sign! STAY AWAY! I gave service 1 star because they never checked on us, did not ask if everything was ok. No salt or pepper on the table. No smiles.

The staff was attentive and changed the wrong order we gave without any additional charge, which was great. The pizzas were delicious, just like the ones we ate in Italy. We paid less than 50 euros for two pizzas and two drinks.

Finalmente un ristorante italiano (e non soltanto pizzeria) come si deve per i nostri standard. Già a partire dall'immagine, con tavole imbandite con le tovaglie in stoffa (rarità da queste parti) e personale gentilissimo. Abbiamo conosciuto anche il simpaticissimo cuoco pugliese. Superata con merito la prova "carbonara", sebbene la ricetta non sia del tutto ortodossa, ma la disponibilità della cucina è stata encomiabile, sapendo che c'erano italiani in sala. Ottimi pure i tortelloni ai funghi con la salvia, la semplice salsetta ai pomodori con cui sono stati conditi i rigatoni di mio figlio e pure la crema al limone come dessert. Prezzi nella media. Cinque stelle meritate.

Het eten was super heerlijk. Erg fijn op het terras gezeten. Maar de bediening was ongeïnteresseerd, onvriendelijk en onbeleefd.

The food was very good but expensive. A glass of wine (25cl) for €10 is far too expensive and I find it almost cheeky. We won't come back.

Typical main street/tourist restaurant - better look for something cozy and better on the side streets if you want to be treated well as a guest :)

Average food, good location. Poor service quality, pretending not speaking well english when you ask for Parmigiano or Chili sauce then speak perfect english to force you to leave a tips.

The menu is not very large, the prices are a little higher than normal. Vitello Tonnato and the Italian salad were delicious, but the white bread was unfortunately dry.

I don't know what we could have done wrong that caused the staff to be so unfriendly to us. On top of that, the Neapolitan pizza (which normally contains anchovies in the Italian version) was too salty due to too much melted cheese (while Italian cuisine is simple and refined), the tomato sauce bland and I could have defrosted the dough myself. So much so that I wondered if they had already gone to Italy... and all for prices that were too high compared to the quality offered. The apple juice was good.

We chose the outdoor area of ​​the Trattoria Toscana restaurant just to have a drink in the afternoon, as it is a very nice location in the heart of Heidelberg. When the waiter found out that we just wanted something to drink, we were kindly asked to leave the restaurant - with the quote "We are a restaurant!" - to leave. If you could give 0 stars, I would definitely do that. I've never experienced anything like that.

We ate pasta and were absolutely satisfied. There wasn't much going on at the moment and we were served quickly. Super super tasty and fresh. It was worth it!!

Das Restaurant liegt direkt an der Heiliggeistkirche mit Blick auf das Schloss, also mitten im "Touristenviertel" in Heidelberg. Eine typische italienische Pizzeria: Mein bevorzugtes Lieblingsgericht die "Spaghetti Carbonara" war schnell zubereitet und schmeckte gut . Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend, und der Preis war mit insgesamt 20 Euro bei einem Getränk angemessen.

The food (pizza) was average at best, very dry dough and sauce with no taste. The toppings were of poor quality, cheap salami on an “Italian pizza” is absolutely naughty. The service was subpar, no adjustments were possible for a child. After I said we wanted to pay, no one came to the table, even though my wife had been waiting there with our little daughter. It took about 10 minutes from the notification to the payment. It didn't occur to anyone to bring the bill to the table as long as "only" the woman was sitting at the table with her wallet in her hand... on the whole we definitely wouldn't come back, the price-performance ratio is absolutely inadequate.

Went there because of the reviews, Bad Service, food average and on top it's expensive. Inside being completely empty, were told needed a reservation. I have started to realise one thing: People who have a view (location), don't care about the food (service) they provide. People who don't have a view (location), need to be extra good at.food (service), they provide in order to make a name for themselves. Cheers

Unfortunately, we cannot understand the good reviews from other guests. The restaurant makes an impression with its white-covered tables and stylishly dressed staff, but that's it. In our opinion, the quality and execution of the dishes bear no relation to the price. Our starter bruschetta was burnt and we were only reluctantly given new bread. Our vegetarian pizza was sparsely topped and the spaghetti carbonara was unfortunately not a great taste. In addition, the staff display what feels like forced friendliness. Conclusion: unfortunately disappointing, next time it would be better to walk a few meters further and enjoy good Italian food

They are delusional to call themselves an italian restaurant. If you know what real Italian food is, you wouldn’t step into this place after having one meal that they prepared. Pizza seems as if it is simply frozen pizza, lasagna.. i dont even want to call it a lasagna! Simply terrible experience! The waiters are extremely rude, i had to ask for bill to multiple waiters until they finally bring it! Shamelessly even by asking tip! Note: portions were so big and water is 8.5 euros. We weren’t that hungry and we didn’t even have an option to get a smaller portion. Waste of money, time and waste of appetite.

As an actual Italian, I tried the “pizza prosciutto” which was basically a capricciosa without artichokes, and the lasagna. The pizza was equal to a frozen pizza, almost tasteless and even slightly bitter, while the lasagna could be called a soup at this point, two layers of pasta that were even hard to find, a ton of tomato and cheese (not besciamella), so as a food experience, absolutely terrible, so from an Italian’s perspective, I do not want my country to be represented by such a low cuisine that could be beaten by the American chain of dominos pizza. Furthermore, they serve Italian water (acqua panna) for 8,50€, absolutely obscene. the location is perfectly in the center. Such a loss of potential. Last but not least, while paying (asking twice for the bill and waiting almost 20 minutes for that) they asked me to even to tip, which I refused explaining how the food they served should be made, as a suggestion to be genuine Italian, they answer? “We don’t make that here”.

I got food poison. I finished to eat at 14:41 July 19, 2024. I started to vomit at 17:35. In between, I ate nothing. Be careful!!! The Rotbarsch did taste stink.

Our food was good-a pizza, a pasta dish, and a meat dish. None of it was exceptional but nothing was terrible either. It was a hot day and the restaurant had no fans so we were pretty warm. They don’t make most of the pasta themselves, which was disappointing. Ok experience.

What grumpy service. The terrace was almost empty, but we were actually not allowed to sit in the shaded places we wanted. By God's grace I was given permission. Not an extensive menu, what you got was fine.

Für fünf Punkte hat nur ein bisschen gefehlt. Wir hatten Bruscette zur Vorspeise und sowohl Pasta, als auch Pizza im Anschluss. Sämtliche Speisen waren sehr lecker und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Die Weine waren lecker, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Unser Platz war nicht der beste im Lokal, der Kellner teilweise etwas gestresst, aber weit weg von unfreundlich o.ä. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Abend 👍

On our way to our holiday address we decided to book a hotel in Heidelberg. We had dinner on the terrace of Trattoria Toscana in the evening. We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews and they were absolutely fulfilled this evening. We had a delicious meal, the terrace outside was very cozy in the middle of the square near the church, the service was super friendly. Super great, I can't say anything else. Highly recommended to have a bite to eat here. We had a starter, then both ordered a pizza, my husband had a large beer, I had 2x coke zero and we paid E 55.

He warned me and now I know why: Very overpriced for very mediocre food and a not very good atmosphere...

We don't share the number of stars. We had a mediocre pizza - sparsely topped, medium-sized for 18.50 - and pasta with strips of beef fillet that were very hard and chewy. The service preferred to stand in front of the door in groups of three, chatting and smoking, sometimes four people and the fifth person never looked over. The restaurant wasn't overcrowded outside and only 2 inside. For the price range and this rating, there is still a lot of room for improvement. There are by far cheaper AND better ones whose service is attentive. The best thing was the wine but no one asked for it anyway.

The pizza dough was one of the worst I've eaten. The sauce was also unacceptable. The same goes for the Bolognese sauce, which was very watery. The waitress's friendliness and politeness were the only positive factors. A very bad experience overall.

Very nice staff and delicious food in a very central location in the old town. We sat outside and watched everything going on around us. We had spaghetti Frank Sinatra (with beef fillet and shrimp).

Allergy sufferers beware!! The allergen card is incorrect and when you tell the waiter they don't show any insight but discuss whether it needs labeling or not (as far as I know, cheese falls under dairy products..) The waiter was then extremely rude to us because of course we left the dish back and ordered something else. The location right on the market square is a 10/10 but the food doesn't match the prices either. What I would like to see: correct the allergens, recognize errors and either reduce the prices or improve the dishes

Llegamos pasadas las 22 horas y nos advirtieron que a las 23 horas cerraban. Nos pareció correcta la advertencia. Comimos unas excelente pastas. Todos pedimos distintos platos y cada uno disfrutó a pleno de los mismos. Muy bien lugar.

Old school Italian. Service is also like in the 90s. Some of the dishes were very good, some not so good. Pizza looked good. Great location, highly recommended. If you're not a tourist and want to eat at the old bridge, there are much better Italian restaurants in the city.

Impatient and horrible service attitude. We were sitting outside when it was rainy. We asked the service person inside and they said it’s okay. We were waiting for ordering the food. The guy with bad English speaking skill were refusing to come outside to take our orders and blamed us sitting outside. Yet as said his colleague allowed us to sit outside during the rain. We were astonished and furious by his terrible service attitude and manner. If the owner or the manager of this restaurant ever sees this post, please help that guy to improve his terrible service attitude. He might have chased away a lot of potential customers due to his terrible and horrible attitude.

Very nice restaurant right on the market square. Despite being very busy, the 6 of us got a table. The food was super quick, tasty and quite inexpensive for the location. Only the service could have been a little better. The fact that only one EC card is accepted per table when paying separately is anything but modern and could be problematic if you no longer really want to have that much cash with you.

The restaurant is right in the middle of Heidelberg Marktplatz and serves a variety of Italian dishes. Lots of vegetarian options. The pasta and bruschetta were good. The highlight was the Tiramisu and their house red wine.

Very tasty food. We had pizza and pasta. Both were very satisfied. A nice espresso rounded it off. Service friendly and attentive. Prices are typical for HD and the tourist corner. Nevertheless, we as “locals” liked it there. (Unfortunately no pictures)
