Actually, very touristic and less than average touristic Italian restaurant. A little better that Losteria though. Pasta with truffle for 20+EUR was a Spagetti with one slice of truffle and olive oil. Pizza was pretty good by the way. Tiramisu was nothing to remember. The staff was not that friendly.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with the owner: he had critical reviews removed. In a letter dated September 16, I was baselessly accused of defamation for giving a fair review. This is completely unacceptable. Regarding the restaurant experience: The pizza really wasn't particularly good, we were seated very close together and had to wait a long time, and the price is too high for all that.

Extremely poor service. The food received a rating of 4-5 from all five guests. The pizza was burnt and bone dry. The other four dishes were all almost inedible. Long wait times. NEVER AGAIN TO THIS PLACE.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. The food was tasteless and barely warm (I had pasta), and far too expensive for the quality. Furthermore, our reservation was not kept, and the service was very unfriendly.

Two of us went here for lunch today. We arrived relatively early (the tables had just been set), but were greeted warmly right away. Unfortunately, due to my histamine intolerance, we had a few special requests. This wasn't a problem at all—quite the opposite. The waitress inquired about our food and was very friendly and patient with our food orders. The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were more than adequate. The ambiance is very nice. We'd go back anytime :)

The staff was very rude, bordering mean. I would not recommend them to anyone visitng here.

our hotel recommended this restaurant and we went for dinner. We were not that hungry so we had a pizza which we thought was very good of vegetable pizza. We also had a salad with goat cheese on it, which I thought was very good. If you don't order food, you are politely informed that you should not stay longer than half an hour, the water came without a lid (crown cap) and the beer came in a glass and for everything it cost almost 15 euros, never again!!!!!!

The pasta was flavorless. The pizza was better but not by much. The service was the truly terrible part. The waitress blatantly ignored our table. Food took 45 minutes to get to us. After we ate, it was another 30 mins and three requests for the check before they finally let us pay and leave. Don't eat on the main strip in a tourist town. Lesson learned.

Authenticity is still a bit lacking in a few places; for example, the carbonara, according to the menu, comes with cream and onions, a fish knife isn't served with the fish, and schnitzel with fries is also on the menu. Expensive by our standards, but very tasty and right next to the Church of the Holy Spirit. Really good, lots of salmon in the pasta and even two pieces of meat in the piccata Milanese. Highly recommended.

They asked for a tip even though there was no seat guidance or kindness. It was a tough time to find a seat because there was no help even though the parasol didn't block the sun at all in the hot weather. The food wasn't great either.

We waited a very long time for our food (even though the table next to us arrived later and received their food first), which was cold, undercooked, and absolutely mediocre. The service was incredibly rude, disregarding and ignoring our table. All the tables around us received a greeting from the kitchen… ours was ignored. We also had to wait a long time before we could finally pay. Absolutely unacceptable! We are absolutely disappointed and will not be coming back!

Very disappointed! It looked very good in itself, and the reviews were also very good, but what we experienced definitely didn't reflect that. Food: Lukewarm, 5 ravioli on the plate, so-so for the price. We waited almost 50 minutes for it, and it was initially brought to the wrong table. Service: Let's get to the negative highlight: besides the lukewarm food, the guests were barely noticed. Drinks were empty, and absolutely no one asked if we wanted anything else. When I asked, the colleague was supposed to come over right away. No way, it didn't come until I asked again. When we finished eating, the plates were immediately removed from the table. My neighbor's knife was still lying on its side, and pieces of salmon were on his plate. No matter, they took them away immediately. The tablecloth at the neighboring table was changed, and decorations were slammed onto our table without any comment or attention. After all these experiences, there was consistently no tip, which also went uncommented, not even a "goodbye/have a nice evening" etc., just embarrassing and sad.

The service is an absolute joke. You have to ask the waiter yourself. We waited over an hour for food. The waiters themselves didn't even know that food had been ordered. There was also a long wait for a drink order, despite the restaurant being quite busy. The good reviews must be fake. Absolute flop. Please stay away!!!

We expected more from a restaurant in this price range. The food was nothing special, and for the first time, I left a restaurant feeling unfulfilled because there were five ravioli on my plate for over €20. The worse problem, however, was the service. You don't feel welcome, and when we didn't tip because of our dissatisfaction, we weren't even given a farewell, but rather treated with contempt and ignored.

Among the best Italian food you can find, the lasagna and carbonara are undisputed must-trys. The service is quite strict and formal, but very correct.

Not worth the money. We chose this Italian restaurant because of its great outdoor setting and were truly disappointed. Given the prices, we expected good quality food. We had pizza, which was OK, but the salami alone wasn't top-notch. The dough was OK. Overall, I've had much better pizza. This applies to both taste and quality! Unfortunately, the drink selection is very limited. I would have appreciated a non-alcoholic aperitif, but none are available! The service was also very poor! One lady tried a bit hard, but the rest were very reserved and unfriendly! Very inattentive, and after a long wait, we decided against a second drink! We won't be back with such a poor overall impression!

Not recommended. Unfriendly, overwhelmed staff, completely overpriced, no napkins, food beyond mediocre, one bottle of water costs €8.90. We reserved for 25 people, only got 20 seats, waited an hour for a pizza, and at 8:00 PM we had to leave the restaurant because the next people had already been reserved. We arrived at 6:00 PM, and the food was served at 7:00 PM. This is mass processing. It was supposed to be a cozy dinner with family. It definitely wasn't.

Well, let me put it this way. The pizza tasted okay, but considering the hefty price tag of €16, it was too thin and too small. A Margherita pizza starts at around €14. Too expensive.

It's directly adjacent to the large market square in the city center. It's beautifully located and close to the old bridge. Getting a table in the evening can be a bit tricky, so reservations are recommended. The food was delicious, including the tagliatelle with salmon and arugula and the spaghetti carbonara. We found it a bit pricey, but one portion is definitely filling!

Despite having a reservation, there were five seats too few, claiming it was our fault. We waited almost an hour for a rather mediocre pizza and ended up paying for two extra specials even though we never got them. The staff was unfriendly and rude, and the food was completely overpriced...

Organizational chaos, poor service, and missing basics – not recommended! We were part of a larger, registered group that arrived at the restaurant on time. When some of us arrived slightly late and identified ourselves as part of the group, the receptionist's reaction was an inappropriate "You're late." What was completely unacceptable, however, was that there were nowhere near enough seats set for the entire group, who had arrived on time. This clear organizational error on the part of the restaurant forced part of our group to sit at a separate table away from the others, which put a damper on a shared evening from the very beginning. Our table was also simply missing napkins – another sign of poor preparation. The pizza was another disappointment. It tasted simply inadequate, and the price was outrageous. There was no sign of the expected quality for the money. The service was the icing on the cake – in a negative sense. After the food was finally served (after an excruciatingly long wait – for us and especially for most of the group), the staff never asked if everything was okay or if we wanted something else to drink – we felt ignored. The fact that our table was only reserved for two hours in the first place made the massive delay in the meal doubly stressful and left barely any time to end the evening in a somewhat normal way. On top of that, the waitress wasn't even able to name the dishes correctly. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uncoordinated throughout. Long waits for food for a registered group are simply unacceptable, especially with a limited reservation time. Conclusion: This visit was a disappointment. The unprofessional welcome of part of our group, the catastrophic organization of seating for the entire group, the lack of basics like napkins, the poor and slow service including a lack of knowledge about their own dishes and the overpriced, low-quality food – all under the additional pressure of a tight time limit – lead to a clear non-recommendation for this restaurant.

We received a very warm welcome from the friendly and charming staff. A special thanks to Bekim and his brother (the grappa was excellent 😅😉). Fast service and delicious food. We had a wonderful evening at this Italian restaurant. I recommend it 200%.

We were here six years ago and had very fond memories. So we had to go back during our stay in Heidelberg, and once again we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. We will definitely come back in the future, should we be in town.

The Trattoria Toscana is a real gem in Heidelberg's old town. Everything is just right here: authentic Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients and a touch of Mediterranean flair. The service is warm and attentive - we felt comfortable. The terrace with a view of the old town also creates a great ambience. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars – more than deserved!

A piece of Italy in Heidelberg, what a great restaurant! The food is extremely tasty, the atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy and the hospitality is warm and welcoming! I've been here a few times and every time I've left with a smile! The service was very attentive and left nothing to be desired!

Due to the unfriendly service, it only made it to us after a 20 minute wait. We left the restaurant without ordering. I understand that it is a hotspot for tourists, but everything has its limits. I would probably avoid this place.

Tagliolini with asparagus only contained finely chopped asparagus and was floating in oil. This does not correspond to the dignity of an Italian restaurant and is not in any price-performance ratio! It is also not run by Italians and is therefore operating under a false flag. Despite other free places, I was relegated to a small niche place.

Last night we had dinner at Trattoria Toscana. We had reserved a table and were greeted at the entrance by an extremely unfriendly gentleman. He showed impossible behavior, especially towards our children. He insisted on serving the starter along with the main course. It was immediately apparent that they wanted to get rid of us in this restaurant as quickly as possible. The quality of the pizzas and pasta dishes was below average, but with appropriate behavior it might have been somehow acceptable. It's a shame when you have to end a great visit to a really beautiful city with such an unpleasant, frustrating experience.

It's a lot, the only advantage Pasta tastes like ketchup What you see in the picture is Spaghetti Frank Sinatra. The amount of meat is good and the shrimp is okay, but as soon as you put the noodles in your mouth, you smell and taste like ketchup. It's not in the picture, but my younger brother ordered vongole, and every time he took a bite, there was a little bit of sand in it... The taste was clean and good, but if I ate it all, my mouth would be full of sand all day. I went in around 2:30 p.m. very hungry, and to be honest, as soon as I took one bite, I thought I was in the wrong place, but I decided to eat anyway. But after taking a few bites, I realized that this was not the case and I would feel really bad if I ate something like this, so I complained. The removal tasted like ketchup, and my brother said the sand was too chewy, so even though he acknowledged the sand, he refused to admit it, saying there couldn't be ketchup. I want to believe that too. How do Italians use ketchup on pasta in an Italian restaurant? But it tastes like ketchup, what should I do? They acknowledged that I ate the vongole, but they said I ate a lot, so I got half price, and they said they didn't approve of my ketchup pasta, so they charged the full price for two bites. It was a bit difficult to leave because the employees were staring at me ^^; No, shouldn't they be sorry? It's not tasty and tastes like ketchup, but I think I lost money. Are you still chewing on sand? It's not cheap either... To those of you who have read this far, don't go here, go somewhere else~

I am leaving a review in Korean, and from personal experience, when visiting this restaurant, I recommend at least ordering food that does not contain clams. I ordered vongole and bolognese, and also ordered cola and beer. As soon as I ate the vongole pasta, I felt like I was eating a stone, and after eating about 10 clams, half of them were not completely removed. I don't know if they bought frozen clams and froze them as is, frozen them without removing them, or cooked them without removing them, but the sand is still in the clams and there is sand from the clams on the noodles. Therefore, most of the time I pay and leave without eating. After paying, I told the clerk that I wasn't satisfied with the clams, and they offered to make me a new one, but I declined because I didn't want to go through the same experience. It would have been a little better if only Vongole had a partial refund. Bolognese is worth eating.

So we booked a table for our anniversary, we arrive and see they reserved us a table RIGHT next to the bathroom and right next to another table. It was SO weird and I’ve never seen this kind of table design in a not-so-cheap restaurant before. Ofc we complained and said tonight is a big deal for us so give us a better seat (they had plenty of empty tables with no “reserved” sign on them). But the waiter (just so rude) told us it’s not possible. After asking twice we decided to leave. When we were leaving the restaurant the owner came to us apologized and gave us another table. But by that time the night was ruined for me. Very bad service. We just got lucky that the owner was there that night. Yeah try to stay away as the food was also super mediocre.
