The service was friendly and quick. The pizza dough is just an unrisen, flat yeast dough. But the real hit was the cappuccino: a watery liquor that I couldn't drink. It was too annoying for me to complain. The boss didn't look like he was receptive to constructive criticism... Corrected from two stars to one star: The toilets were, to put it charmingly, strange and, last but not least, the boss didn't give enough change back.

Seldom eaten so badly! Absolutely advise against it. Of the 7 dishes we ordered, one was forgotten, it came after everyone else had finished eating. Bruschetta is simply tomato on an old slice of brown bread and drowned in oil. The pizzas are dry, topped with inferior ingredients. The noodles are totally soggy because they have been cooked for too long. It's really a disgrace what they're serving up. Unfortunately! Finally, despite asking, there was no receipt for the payment. The one star goes to the drinks, which were nice and cold.

Extremely bad Italians. Only my Cola had the expected quality. Simple things like Brucetta or melon were extremely bad. You should also avoid pasta. You should avoid the entire restaurant altogether. There is another Italian in town who was unfortunately closed (summer holidays)

This is the worst Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Has absolutely nothing to do with Italy, really worthless. When I arrived the strange waiter/chef asked why I am alone this time?? I had never been there before! During the time I had to wait for the food, there was only disagreement and arguing among the chef (who did nothing but take orders and was unfriendly to his staff). The toilet room is filthy, the tables are sticky and so are the menu cards. When the pizza arrived I ordered a white wine with it. You have to pay 5.90 euros for this... But yes, I had fruite de mare, but eeeh... The fish that was floating on it in the dirty tomato sauce tasted nothing and the pizza base was like chewing gum! Really bad. When I had almost finished the pizza, the chef came and said that the white wine will be here soon. I said you don't have to anymore. He said, but you ordered, I said, yes, too late... I said, just give me the bill, and told him that the food is really crappy and the atmosphere is really bad. He didn't care about it. Debit card didn't work either. I definitely expect a stomach ache. It's a shame that these kinds of bad restaurants can continue their business. You pay a normal price here but you really don't get anything in return, which is a shame. It gives a bitter aftertaste in an area where it is so beautiful. Never again 👎👎👎

Unbelievable what happened to us! As a larger family (parents, children, grandchildren) we ordered some bruschetta as a starter. We got a whopping 30 slices of bread!!! with tomato. You read that right, not the usual white bread with tomato, but discounter brown bread with tomato. When asked what that meant, the answer was that they meant something well and that a return was not possible. You can imagine that we lost our appetite for more and left (with payment 😡). Given the reviews, that was a good thing! Conclusion: Urgently read the reviews and don't be blinded by the good location!

Warning: price scam. The bill was unrelated to the prices shown on the menu. We had to fight to get the right price. Amazing !

The menu is well structured, but there is no exact information about what drinks or beer brands are involved. The food came quite quickly after about 10-12 minutes. The two pizzas were really tasty, but not the best pizza I've ever eaten, still a recommendation. The Greek salad looks a bit bland, like a pile of chopped vegetables with eggs and olives (with a stone so watch out for the bites). The service wasn't the same, it was quick but grumpy and the communication was just sufficient. The wasps, which probably attacked you in large numbers because of the public garbage can right next to the fountain, were extremely annoying. The staff seems to know the problem well but don't seem to care. The bill is calculated by the waiter directly at the table on the piece of paper and head, the algebra and mental arithmetic skills are there, but it still makes a somewhat unprofessional impression, especially with larger groups there could be offsets.

The fact that this restaurant still exists, given all the bad reviews, is truly amazing! This must be because unsuspecting travelers keep falling into the trap. Unfortunately we didn't look for it beforehand either... The atmosphere is dingy and loveless, similar to a snack bar. But we just wanted to eat something quick, so there was no reason for us to turn back. The sticky menus and tables should have been a warning sign for us! The food was mediocre and tasteless. The pizza is still raw in the middle. My drink was no longer carbonated, it was so stale. The knives were so dull and old that we could actually only tear the pizza with them. We mentioned that with some amusement, but no one seemed to be interested. The service staff changed constantly during our visit and no one knew about the other. There was no invoice and no option to pay by card. What does the tax office say about this? But the icing on the cake was that I caught a “nice” case of food poisoning! Stomach cramps, diarrhea and nausea all night and the next day! I can only warn against visiting this establishment!

Today we went for ice cream with the kids. The service was there quickly. The ice cream selection is limited to three flavors: strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. The quality of the ice cream was so net or penny freezer. Each of us chose an ice cream sundae. It also came in a timely manner. 3 out of four received their cup as ordered. We gave the 4th one back because it was an amaretto sundae and not a mixed ice cream sundae as ordered. Then the waiter went in and another came out with the same cup. It was literally forced upon us. The sundae was intended for a child. He then only ate the ice cream and left the rest in the cup. When we told the waiter when we were paying that it was an amaretto cup, he acted very surprised. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly. Rude and they want to take you for a fool. Just cheeky.

I can't understand the bad reviews. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was also served quickly (although there was already a lot going on). We had pizza, lasagne and tortellini alla pana. All dishes tasted good and the portions were reasonable for the price.

I agree (under 3 stars isn't really fair in my opinion). Certainly not perfect but quite OK, well located and it was quick and in contrast to many competitors it was open (warm throughout) which saved us having to search forever. We were sitting outside on a summer day with a view of the castle and hadn't looked at any reviews in advance, so I'm posting a little more generously because I'm really surprised by what we read there.

We ate two different pizzas there. I have to say I have never eaten anything so tasteless. It just didn't taste like anything and was very dry. I can't recommend it. But the service was very nice.

If we had taken a look at the unclean interior beforehand, we would have left immediately. “Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms” was pasta with mushrooms in creamy mush “Penne arrabiata” was macaroni with canned or bagged sauce. And the lettuce was wilted and otherwise rather “unusual”. We didn't eat, complained and asked for the bill - but no concession on the price. Speaking of invoices: nothing paid for, just added up on a piece of paper like 100 years ago. Kind regards to the tax office!

Italian is still spoken here and served accordingly: the food is perfectly fine, the service could certainly be a little better, but it's on the ball - the beautiful view of the square rounds the whole thing off.

If we had read the reviews beforehand, we definitely wouldn't have come here. 5 waiters, hardly any of them had a plan, sat bored at the table with their cell phones. The food wasn't great either; half of the ingredients in one dish were forgotten and they were added upon request. After we asked for the bill, the “chief” waiter no longer knew what we had ordered. The restaurant takes advantage of the good location in Pottenstein, as there are hardly any restaurants in town.

Pizza wasn't bad but not the best either. Noodles were tasty. If I had gone to the restaurant beforehand, I wouldn't have eaten anything there.

Ascension Day we tried to sit in the outdoor area of ​​the restaurant. After a short wait, a table with four chairs became available, another chair was a little in the way. However, this was not placed there by us. When the waiter (I think it was the boss) wanted to bring an order to the next table, he tripped on the chair and verbally attacked us in the bottom drawer. We then immediately got up and left the restaurant. Luckily, there are even more options for eating out in Pottenstein.

The iced coffee (with a small scoop of ice cream and lots of spray cream) was very watery and not worthy of a coffee. There was also a very pushy waiter at the beginning, but after everything was brought to the table, he was ignored for a long time.

The waiters couldn't do math and were unfortunately very pushy.

Service authentically Italian. That's the way it has to be. Pizza outstanding! A great restaurant to sit outside.

What to say? Michelle was very friendly, we had a great dinner. Good food, good quality and good prices. Clearly a recommendation from my side.

We went to the Italian restaurant with an open mind, but as soon as we ordered we noticed the unfriendly service. When we asked for details about the dishes we were bullied. When the waiter came out with the first meal, he had forgotten which of the 8 tables the order was supposed to be delivered to. When we asked if we could have ketchup with the schnitzel and fries, we received a very annoyed look (even though it was then brought). Apparently payment could only be made to the boss. The principle 'The customer is king' is ignored to the maximum here. Without tourists the store would have gone bankrupt long ago.

Unacceptable. One of the worst restaurants I've been to.

Despite the reviews, we visited the trattoria. We quickly realized why the restaurant in the beautiful city is so rated. The staff is unfriendly, the service is terrible, the drinks are stale and the pizza is either made from ready-made dough or not baked all the way through. It's a shame, the location is very nice, in the middle of Pottenstein. But a nice location doesn't help either. We are very surprised that the restaurant still gets 2.5 stars.

We had to wait well over an hour for a pizza when there was very little activity (nothing else was available) and everyone who came later got their food before us. When asked, they just said “coming soon”. In the end we canceled because I didn't want to endure this rudeness anymore.

We drove to Pottenstein specifically because Google showed us the trattoria was open. Unfortunately we found ourselves starving in front of a closed door and in this area it is very difficult to find replacements on weekdays.

Ich habe heute um 17 Uhr die Pizza Vegetarisch bestellt zum Mitnehmen und bin inzwischen 15 min spazieren gegangen. Ich bin gar nicht bis zu meiner Ferienwohnung gekommen und habe mich unterwegs auf einer Bank gesetzt. Total lecker, der Boden knusprig, das ich sogar den Rand mitgegessen habe. Diese negativen Bewertungen hier stimmen nicht. Wahrscheinlich geht es nur darum einen Menschen anonym zu zerstören. Schade das es solche Menschen geben muss. Just gonna say that I'll be surprised if I don't get food poisoning, the "tortilinni" is from a local supermarket. But not only that, they didn't even care to fully cook it. An undoubted 1 star.

It's unbelievable how carelessly you can run a *restaurant*. The food was poor quality, but at least we didn't lose anything. The objective impression of cleanliness is really shocking. An example of this is a picture of the entrance. The service is lackluster. One star is already too many...

We wanted to ask the waitress for a table for two (there was still plenty of space outside). The waitress just kept running, didn't even let us ask a question and just shouted as she ran away: "If you want to eat it will take at least an hour" - well, I mean something different by friendliness

Lecker, aber recht teuer. Das Tiramisu war nicht selbst gemacht und 7 € für ein kleines Stück. Die Pizza war auch nicht sehr groß und dafür teuer.

Essen war lecker, der Wirt macht vieles selbst. War ein gemütliches gutes Erlebniss. Und super schnell ging es. Danke schön!

Wir waren Sonntags nach 14:00 und heilfroh, überhaupt irgendwo in Pottenstein etwas zu Essen zu bekommen und waren dann umso mehr überrascht, dass die Pizza richtig lecker war. Gerne wieder!

Das Ambiente ist Ansprechend und Sauber. Die Pizza schmeckte wie eine Tiefkühlpizza. Salat war eine angemessene große Portion (quoll aus der Sachale hinaus) mit kaum Dressing. Aperitife sind sehr schlecht gemischt und man muss warten bis das Eis diesen wenigstens etwas gekühlt hat. Service hatte schlechte Laune und wirkte unfreundlich.

Nur etwas getrunken und das war sehr teuer, der Tisch im ausenbereich war nicht sauber und hat geklebt.

Wir waren am Samstag Abend um 21 Uhr da und. Wollten eine Pizza zum mit nehmen haben der Kerl mit n Blauen Auge und Stock besoffen hat uns abgewimmelt es gäbe keine pizza mehr... Asozial

Das ist Essen ist überteuert und lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht. Wenn man Kritik äußert wird man unhöflich und abweisend.

Wir waren letzte Woche zu einem ausführlichen Abendessen in diesem Lokal und waren mit der Qualität der Speisen und dem Service durchaus zufrieden. Obwohl ein Teil der bestellten Vorspeise nicht verfügbar war, wurde uns auf Rückfrage eine leichte Abwandlung des Gerichtes serviert, der angebotene Schinken war von sehr guter Qualität, frisch aufgeschnitten, keine vorgefertigte Ware. Auch die Pizzen waren wirklich gut, es kann halt nicht jede Pizzeria in einem kleinen Ort wie Pottenstein einen Holz-Pizzaofen haben. Meiner Frau hat bei Ambiente und Tischdekoration etwas die „weibliche Hand“ gefehlt, aber es ist halt eine „Männerwirtschaft“ (Ober, Schankkellner/Hilfe und Koch), da darf es auch mal ohne Blumenschmuck und Stoffservietten sein. Alles in allem finde ich die vielen schlechten Bewertungen nicht gerechtfertigt, wir fühlten uns als Urlaubs-Gäste gut behandelt und haben gut gegessen. Es ist wohl, wie so oft... wie man in den Wald hinein ruft so schallt es heraus...!

Ein guter Ort zum Anhalten. Freundlicher Service, lächelndes Personal, schnelles Servieren von Speisen und leckere Pizza. Die Preise sind durchschnittlich, wie überall in Bayern. Ich verstehe nicht, warum es so viele negative Bewertungen gibt. Vielleicht ist es die Aktivität von Mitbewerbern-Nachbarn? Ich habe keine Antwort gefunden. Das Restaurant verdient keine so niedrige Bewertung.

Zdarzało mi się jeść lepsze pizze, ale ta była również całkiem smaczna, składniki na pewno były świeże, pan który nas obsługiwał bardzo miły.

Naja. Die Pizza konnte man essen. Geschmacklich ist es noch ein weiter Weg nach oben. War ganz nett.

I chose their business cause everyone else was busy and figured I'd give them some service. Glad I did. Honestly surprised to see so many low ratings. These dish I received was the Chicken Cordon Bleu schnitzel and tasted great.

Ich wundere mich ein wenig über die schlechten Bewertungen. Das Essen, Pizza, Salat und Bandnudeln, waren sehr lecker. Nur bei der Bruschetta hätten ein paar mehr Tomaten drauf sein können. Das Essen kam schnell und war reichlich, dem Preis angemessen. Die Bedienung war freundlich, auch wenn sie auf den ersten Blick nicht so wirkte. An der Innenausstattung haperte es ein wenig, sie war ungemütlich.

War heute wirklich ein super Abschluss des Tages in diesem Restaurant. Ich habe zwar nur etwas getrunken, habe aber die gemütliche Stimmung und das Gespräch mit dem Ober genossen.

Sehr gute Bedienung dort der Kühlschrank drinnen ist immer reichlich befüllt. Die Bedienung war stets höflich das Essen war perfekt! Ich würde kein zweites Mal hinkommen ich schau aber gerne dort hin zum spaß

Stopped for a coffee and a small bite to eat today. Coffee was good but Broshetta w As the pits. Just a small pizza base with a few chopped tomatoes thrown on top. Waiters were miderable and not a smile between them. Left majority of food as it wss terrible.

Service war eine Katastrophe und essen war okay. Wir mussten sehr lange auf alles warten, es hieß immer "ich komme gleich" aber naja gleich ist wohl ein sehr subjektiver Begriff. Getränke wurden bestellt naja ein Teil davon kam ja auch der Rest wurde eben vergessen. Und naja die Pizza war okay aber halt auch nichts besonderes. Schöne Lage ansonsten eher ein absoluter Reinfall.

Waren Eis essen, waren aber überhaupt nicht begeistert. 2 bekamen ihr Eis nach 5 Minuten, die anderen 2 (Eis mit heißen Himbeeren) erst nach 20 Minuten. Eis sah lieblos zubereitet aus.

...um mal was zu trinken und einen Salat essen geht es, Organisatorisch sehr verbesserungsbedürftig!
