The hospitality was not particularly good. The dining room was very cold, which made the visit unpleasant. Due to language barriers, no clear information could be provided when we asked for help. While the service was friendly and tried its best, it didn't really improve the situation. The menu was very basic, but the food itself was good. During our visit, there were no other guests – the dining room was eerily quiet, almost oppressive. Even the music, which was played upon request, didn't fit the atmosphere of a brewery at all. Overall, the concept seems poorly thought out and, in our opinion, has little to do with genuine hospitality.

We went there with the family. The food was really great; I highly recommend the roast pork. It tastes absolutely delicious. The beer was perfect too, and the exhibition downstairs is really interesting. It's a genuine old brewery, and right now it's like a real museum. I really enjoyed it.

It was one of the best German restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. The waitress/chef, Alyona, was incredibly friendly and made me feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and I'm surprised there weren't more guests. I highly recommend it!

Simply breathtaking. I've never experienced anything so wonderful; the service, the location, and the food were all truly excellent. There's also a fantastic museum in the cellar showcasing the old brewery. It feels incredibly authentic to sit and dine there. The chef, Alyona, was incredibly kind and friendly. It's truly one of the few genuine restaurants in all of Bavaria. Definitely recommended.

Urbräu is a wonderful place to relax with friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and great music. We haven't relaxed so well in a long time. We would love to come back again. Thank you!

The beer garden was lovely; you sit under chestnut trees in a quiet area. Delicious beer. The Kaiserschmarrn was tasty, but too expensive (€9 for a small plate).

A different kind of pub. Cozy brewery atmosphere. A bit dark but cozy. A bit warmer would be helpful for a longer stay. The food is suited to the rustic setting and is good. It's reasonably priced. The atmosphere is similar to a beer garden. You order at the bar. You bring your drinks to go, and the food is served. Very friendly hosts.

This review refers to the beer garden. It's located in a very quiet, idyllic location next to a small stream. The beer garden is self-service, which worked very well for us. I especially recommend the Cave Drink if you enjoy trying local beverages.

Actually a nice restaurant, but unfortunately a bit dirty. Service is nonexistent. It's advertised outside that it's self-service, but having to ask for a menu and a drinks list is pretty stupid. There were three of us and we were the only ones there, but we still had to get our own drinks. Food is a matter of taste, but Schäufele (pork shoulder) could be better. It's worth it, but there are better restaurants in Pottenstein.

A very cozy old brewery that has been lovingly converted. You take a seat under the old kettle and between all kinds of equipment for making beer. A great mix of museum, rustic restaurant and interesting building.

Great leadership. It's a shame that we couldn't have dinner there because the beer garden was open, unfortunately it was also closed due to the bad weather. Maybe we can catch up on that ☺️

We were at the festival of lights in Pottenstein. We were looking forward to a rustic end to our great day and received a very unfriendly welcome in this restaurant. We weren't served at all and had to pick up our drinks from the kitchen ourselves. Even though there were almost no other guests there, we felt unwelcome. The staff in the kitchen were totally overwhelmed with our coffee. I had to pray for spoons, milk and sugar. The older lady who asked us to choose a table number was the rudest. A group of older women who sat down at the table with us felt equally unfriendly. It's a shame for such a nice restaurant.

Inn very rustic. Food was average. Service very unfriendly. Orders had to be placed at the counter, not from the landlord as usual in a restaurant!?

Original economy with a small but good Franconian menu. Self-service in the dining room was unusual for us, but it didn't detract from the rustic atmosphere. Quite the opposite! The walk to the toilets is very interesting and amazing. Especially when you look into the old brewing kettles, which have an artist inside. Funny idea 😂

Ambiente zum Untersitzen war nicht gerade gemütlich bis schön. Das Essen war Durchschnittlich und nicht unbedingt ausreichend. Für einen kleinen Hunger OK.

Waren zum Umtrunk und Vortrag dort. Spannende Location, entertainiger Vortrag und schmackhaftes Bier!

Ich habe selten so schlecht gegessen. Minimale Auswahl an Gerichten, die Nudeln mit bitteren Pfifferlingen waren nicht gut. Der Kaiserschmarrn war meiner Einschätzung nach ein Fertigkrodukt/Tiefkühlprodukt. Positiv: es ist sauber, die Getränke sind gut und der Keller war freundlich.

Leider nur ein Teil des Angebots verfügbar, dass draußen auf der Speisekarte aushängt. Lange Wartezeit, bis man etwas bekommt, kleine Portionen, von denen die meisten wahrscheinlich nicht satt werden. Für Vegetarier ungeeignet. Das Essen war aber grundsätzlich lecker.

Wer urigen Gaststätte besichtigen möchte, soll hier hereinschauen....Das KELLERBIER und der Leberkäse war sehr gut

Informative Veranstaltung über das Brauereiwesen. Kurzweilig und mit einer kleinen Bierprobe verbunden.

Für mich das beste Schäufele in Pottenstein, hier hat es mir am Besten geschmeckt. Dazu noch gute Biere und nettes Personal, hier haben wir uns wohl gefühlt.

Das ist ein sehr uriger Ort mit einem sehr kompetenten Besitzer. Lauter handgemachte Biere, die geschmacklich das Gewohnte sprengen. Die Örtlichkeit ist zwar als Museum deklariert, ist das im üblichen Sinn nicht. Wer zur Entschlackungsanlage (Originalzitat Wirt - Toilette) muss, sollte es nicht allzu eilig haben. Gar nicht gefallen haben mir die Preise. Ca. 150g Leberkäse mit 3 EL Kartoffelsalat €6,50. 2 Weißwürste mit Brezel genau soviel. Das war nach dem Preis-Leistung Verhältnis je Portion 2€ zuviel.

Biergarten ist ganz nett, man hat dort Selbstbedienung. Als wir uns das erste Getränk holten, ging es relativ schnell. Beim zweiten Getränk standen fünf Leute vor uns. Die Angestellten machten hier einen überforderten Eindruck und waren unfreundlich zu anderen Gästen die ihr Pfand abgeben wollten während andere auf ihr Essen oder Trinken warteten. Essen war höchstens durchschnittlich, dafür waren die Preise für die Fränkische meiner Meinung nach viel zu hoch (Grillteller mit etwas Kraut, m.M.n. gekaufter Kartoffelsalat, gefrorene Butter, einer Bratwurst, einem Kotelett und einer kl. Lende für 11,50€ auf das man beim Abholen auch noch relativ lange warten musste). Ich würde dort nicht noch einmal hingehen außer um ein Radler zu trinken

Viel Werbung um wenig vorzuführendes! Der Braumeister erzählte die ganze Zeit von seinen Leistungen - die Führung war kurz und der Vortrag war lang!! Das zum Ausschank gebrachte Bier war nicht der Knaller und das anschließende Mittagessen eher enttäuschend. Wir sind 2 Straßen weiter gegangen, die Hälfte war ausverkauft, der Rest eher dünn und man mußte es selbst abholen!?!? Wir werden die Dienste nicht mehr in Anspruch nehmen.

Sehr gute Gaststätte und tolles Ambiente mit Brauereimaschinen aller Art. Ein Muss für alle Bierliebhaber.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, allerdings wird hier nicht mehr selbst gebraut. Vor 10 Jahren war es hier deutlich besser. Trotzdem kann man hier nette Stunden verbringen.

Biergarten Top, gleich beim Juramar nebenan. Essen weis ich nicht. Bier: Pottensteiner Höhlenbräu, sehr süffig

Man sitzt im alten Kühlkeller. Könnte man mehr draus machen. Essen und Bier OK.

Uriger Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung. Kinder können bequem am angrenzenden Spielplatz untergebracht werden. Sonnen- als als Schattenplatz unter Bäumen ist gewährleistet. Das Essensangebot ist schön übersichtlich und liegt zwischen 5,30€ und 10,90€. Gutes Bier, eine freundliche, fränkische Bedienstete gehören selbstverständlich zu einem Biergarten dazu. Das 6er Tragerl (6 x 0,33l Bier) ist für 7,50€ erhältlich und macht Lust auf weiteres, geselliges Wandern.

Originaler schöner Biergarten mit gutem urigen Essen. Leckeres Bier/Radler! Bedienung freundlich.

Uriges und gemütliches Lokal, sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung (danke Sabine für den netten Abend), sehr gute Küche (das best gegessene Schäufele), netter und kommunikativer Wirt (lasst euch die "Wagnerfässer" zeigen. Übernachtet haben wir auf dem 150m entfernten Parkplatz (8€ pro Nacht pro WoMo)
