Very good cuisine, good service, everything was great.

We have now basically become regulars as the service, food, selection of drinks, etc. have never disappointed us. Special requests were also fulfilled (if they could be fulfilled :-)). We like it there as much as others, so it is advisable to book a table. But my absolute hero is the chef!!!!

Trattoria La Castagnas is an absolute gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients and loving preparation make every dish a pleasure. Especially the homemade pasta and the crispy pizza are to die for! The service is warm, attentive and creates a wonderful atmosphere. Plus a great selection of wines – simply perfect! We'll definitely be back. Absolutely recommended!

I was visiting Düsseldorf and spontaneously decided on the trattoria and was very satisfied. The bruschetta had lots of fresh tomatoes on it and the main course showed which vegetables you were eating! Thank you for that, anytime again!

We used to always enjoy going to La Castagnas, but since the change of ownership the quality of the service has decreased significantly and last night, despite the good food, we were very disappointed. We both had pizzas which were delicious. From the beginning, the service and our waiter made us feel as if we were more of a burden than welcome in the restaurant. Anyone can have a bad day, but not once did the waiter smile or be friendly. After the first drink, we were not asked again during the entire visit if we wanted to drink anything else, even though our glasses were empty. The restaurant wasn't particularly full. The waiter was standing at the counter with his arms crossed or was on his cell phone. After clearing away we weren't asked if we wanted coffee or dessert, no one came to our table, so my friend had to get up and go to the counter himself. He then ordered a tiramisu, which was first promised and then didn't come because it was still frozen. Unfortunately we felt really uncomfortable.

Very tasty and cozy. Bruschetta was tasty and the bread was perfectly crispy/soft. Steak was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were fresh. Very tasty Aperol Spritz. The service was also good. Gladly again!

Nach einer telefonischen Reservierung besuchten wir, an wir einem Samstag Abend, dieses Restaurant. Der Service begrüßte uns recht kühl, was man in einem italienischen Speisetempel normalerweise etwas herzlicher und „wärmer“ kennt; … man fand unserer Reservierung und führte uns auch gleich an unseren Platz. Das Ambiente ist insgesamt modern, gemütlich und strukturiert gehalten. Einrichtungs-technisch müsste man nicht unbedingt auf Italien tippen. Beim Betreten des Restaurants blickt man auch gleichzeitig in die Küche und zu den Köchen, was einen positiven Eindruck macht! Wir hatten uns die Speisekarte schon im Internet angesehen; mussten dann aber vor Ort feststellen, dass diese nicht identisch mit der im Restaurant ist, leider. Dafür gab es aber ein Zusatzangebot in Form eines beigefügten Blattes „Unsere Empfehlungen“; welche auch interessant waren, aber das Blatt an sich war sehr schwer zu lesen (Schriftfarbe und Strukturierung). Wir wählten Vorspeise, Pasta und einen Fleischgang. Zum Glück hatten wir noch kein Dessert gewählt, denn leider wäre in unseren Mägen kein Platz mehr dafür gewesen, leider. Hieraus erkennt man bereits, dass die servierten Portionen üppig waren. Alle Gänge waren exzellent, sehr lecker und perfekt auf den Punkt zubereitet. Ein Kompliment an die Küche! Preislich lagen alle Angebote in einem akzeptablen Bereich, welcher einem auch Freude beim Bestellen und Essen machte. Ein sehr gutes Beispiel dafür, dass Qualität und Angebot auch zu „normalen“ Preisen existieren können. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich und korrekt. Uns fehlte nur etwas die gewisse warme Italienische Herzlichkeit; aber dies nur als Hinweis, keinesfalls als große Kritik. Auf jeden Fall hat sich dieser Besuch gelohnt und wir können eine 100%-ige Empfehlung aussprechen!

nach umfassender Renovierung/Sanierung jetzt unter neuer Leitung. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service sehr aufmerksam, höflich und freundlich. Unschlagbar günstig ist auf der Mittagskarte das "Top-Menue des Tages" (gilt auch am Wochenende) für 18 EUR: kleiner Salat, Pasta und ein Getränk 0,2 l (gilt auch für Wein). Meine Frau schwärmt von der Tomatencremesuppe, großer Teller, für 6 EUR. Danach war sie fast schon satt und hat nur noch einen gemischten Salat für 10 EUR bestellt. Alle Speisen waren sehr schmackhaft und bekömmlich. Eine große Flasche Wasser kostet 6,50 EUR.

Es ist leider nicht mehr der alte Laden ,es ist jetzt ehr eine Trattoria als zuvor. Alles ist neu ,die Karte, Personal,Einleitung.Das essen war gut und lecker.

Now I haven't been there for a while and realized it's not the same place. Everything is new, the entire facility, except the toilet, the place has now completely changed. There is pizza now, it has become more rustic, now more trattoria than before, definitely completely different. Only the old cook remained, which made me happy. The food was very tasty.

We were there for the first time today. We were happy that we got a table. Even though this one was so close to the other that it was a little uncomfortable. Therefore a star deduction in relation to the ambience. The food and the staff were great. We were served in a friendly and attentive manner. It was also fun and at the end there were even two digestifs. We really liked it all. We'd love to come back.

Pleasant atmosphere and nice employees. Small menu with meat, fish, soup, salad, pasta and pizza. Pizza bread in advance was fresh and tasty and was delivered without request. The pasta with ragu was excellent! Meat, vegetables and mushrooms with pasta like you get in Italy. There are also wines by the glass, Italian beer (Peroni) and small desserts by the glass, like tiramisu. There were a lot of Italian guests eating there, which for me is an indication of good Italian cuisine. Price-performance was absolutely reasonable. We'd love to come back!

Spontaneously this weekend in Düsseldorf and then just as spontaneously stopped by the restaurant. Immediately nice reception and space assigned. The menu isn't huge, but there's still something for everyone. Nice atmosphere, not too crowded. I would prefer real plants, otherwise everything is really great. Even the crust of the pizza was very tasty. All in all, a very nice and, above all, delicious evening

War hier immer gerne Gast, da das Essen immer besonders war. Leider hat die Qualität in letzter Zeit nachgelassen...Nudeln verkocht, Wein nicht richtig kalt.... Kellner ist eine Katastrophe, unfreundlich, inkompetent....schade. Ich habe euch jetzt immer wieder eine Chance gegeben, aber bin meist enttäuscht 😞

In one word: everything perfect. We've been there again for a long, long time thanks to our young daughters, the pandemic and all the other good restaurants in Derendorf and THAT WILL CHANGE NOW! Everything was perfect! The tortellini with porcini mushrooms and truffles were seasoned just right and tasted just right! Extra points here for being really hot at the table. There was a delicious, affordable Barbera from the wine list. Then the fillet was fried to perfection and tasted 5 out of 5 stars with fine beans that couldn't grow and taste better in your own garden. The fact that the service is in no way inferior rounds the whole thing off perfectly. Thank you for this wonderful afternoon!!

Finally a good Italian in Düsseldorf. Food / service is very, very good and we would like to come back. A little tip: put the bread side dish in the oven again for 30 seconds before serving.

We ate at Trattoria La Castagnes for the first time with 9 people. We were immediately greeted very warmly. The service was very attentive and we immediately felt at home. The starters like the bruscetta and vitello tonata were so delicious. It's been a long time since I've had such good bruscetta, crispy and still warm bread, great topping with some salad. As a small note: a little bread with olive oil beforehand would be nice :) We were all satisfied with the main course, pizza and pasta simply tasted good :) At the end there was a small cake for the newborn child as a small gift and then we got a great limoncello. Thank you for the great food, service and attention. Unfortunately, this has become very rare in the catering industry. We'll be back!

Simply a spontaneous, successful evening! Despite the restaurant being full, a table was arranged for us after a few minutes of waiting with a drink on the house. Service was attentive and were able to accommodate special requests. The food was very tasteful and lovingly prepared. We'll try out the new buffet soon. So see you soon!

Unfortunately this is no longer reasonable after the change of ownership. Service almost non-existent. The waiters played more with their cell phones than taking care of the guests. We had to go to the counter several times to order drinks. Wine not chilled and too expensive at 8 euros. Light is much too bright and unfortunately there is little sound insulation and therefore absolutely too loud. No atmosphere. Too bad

Went there with my boys this evening and we loved it. The owner is an absolutely likeable gentleman with a very good sense of humor. The food was great and all extra requests were fulfilled by the kitchen. Especially the tortellini with truffle filling - outstanding!! There was great grappa on top. Finally an Italian with class.

I received a friendly welcome when I made my reservation by phone. Our pasta was solidly cooked and quite tasty but not a culinary experience. The dessert mousse au chocolat was okay, chocolate bars and mikado in it were nice but didn't go with it. Ambiance is ok but not really comfortable. Service is friendly and tried hard. In terms of price, this is in the solid midfield.

Top address! Great food, great service - recommended! Rarely eaten such good pasta; terrific! A small improvement could be the lighting - my guests commented that it was bright/the only drawback. We'd love to come back!

Pizza Diavolo was already salty, seafood pasta was good but not so good that I would come back. To the answer from the owner: No, not everything was eaten. Yes, it would be more helpful to you if I had told the waiter, but the food wasn't that off, hence a mediocre rating for a subjectively mediocre experience. But I agree with you on your point of honesty, I will give honest feedback to waiters from now on :)

Leckerer Antipastiteller aus der Vitrine - solide, die Spaghetti waren schmackhaft und das Kalbsschnitzel war lecker zubereitet. Dazu ein Lugana aus der Flasche - besser als das offene Angebot. Der Service war freundlich, das Ambiente war etwas verstaubt. Mit Glück bekommt man einen Parkplatz in der Nähe.

We were in this restaurant for the first time yesterday and will happily come here again! The food is very tasty, the prices are a little higher but considering the quality, they are definitely justified! The quantity is also great, you'll definitely get full here! The atmosphere is nice, the service is unobtrusive and quick! A clear recommendation!

The new owner is very nice and open, a professional in the catering industry. The food and drinks were highly recommended, especially for special occasions such as celebrations or business meals. Customer requests are taken into account and taken seriously. Top!

After our last visit was a few years ago and left us with an unconvincing impression, today's new visit was simply fantastic: a new team has optimized the ambience and maintained the high-quality Italian cuisine - but finally at more moderate prices. The fish was very tasty, the tagliatelle was very special and top - and finally there was open wine of very good quality at a fair price. Added to this is the friendly service with a very customer-oriented owner who is easy to talk to. All of Italy... - You'll be happy to come back there and can motivate your entire circle of friends to eat there...

Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und gemütlich, allerdings war die Musik recht laut. Mein Risotto sowie die Pasta und Pizza waren geschmacklich gut. Preislich ist das Restaurant nicht ganz so günstig, aber noch im Rahmen. Der Service war in Ordnung und die Wartezeit okay.

It was open at lunchtime on Saturday and the good reviews weren't deceptive: The pasta with light tomato sauce and vegetables had a very balanced taste, spicy, not too sour. We ordered garlic pizza bread in advance - it's not on the menu but it wasn't a problem - we received it straight away & it was excellent - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Upon request, a generous portion of Parmesan was served. The dessert - panna cotta - also had a generous portion size and tasted very good. The dining room has generous seating - you have enough space and don't sit on your skin. The owners appear to be Italian. We'd love to come back!

Yesterday I stood here with 9 people in front of closed doors. We had a reservation confirmation. This wasn't canceled either. That's stupid when you're traveling with a large group and have to spontaneously look for something else.

I had dinner at this restaurant and was greeted with a smile by the waitress. The atmosphere is "vaguely" reminiscent of an Italian trattoria but the food and friendliness of the staff made my evening pleasant. 😊

Wir hatten ein ganz schönes Abendessen zu zweit. Sehr gemütlich, nette authentische Bedienung und extrem leckeres Essen. Gut abgestimmte Gerichte, ein Risotto mit Lachs war super aromatisch und seit langem haben wir nicht mehr eine so gute Trüffel Pasta gegessen. Klein und fein. Da gehen wir jetzt öfter hin. Ein sehr gutes Italienisches Restaurant. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service waren top top top! Wir hatten Fisch Garnelen und Rinderfilet. Jedes Essen war unglaublich lecker. Das Rinderfilet war besser als das von 99% aller Steakhäuser in denen ich war. Perfektes Medium, super Zart und eine super leckere Tomatensauce. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als sehr gut! Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Trinkgeld gibt man hier mit Herz und guten Gefühl!

Seit über zwanzig Jahren hohe Zufriedenheit im La Castagnas, bei ausgezeichnetem Speisen und Getränken, ganz exzellentem Service und in einer Wohlfühlatmosphäre..

Unheimlich freundliches Personal, Essen gut, alle möglichen Getränke werden zum Probieren angeboten! Die Umgebung in einem Wohngebiet ist, insbesondere wenn man draußen sitzt, nicht besonders einladend, aber der Rest macht das mehr als wett!

Durch Zufall gefunden, zu fünft einen Tisch erhalten, sind wir vom Inhaber sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Der Oberkellner, ein waschechter Neapolitaner, hat uns fachlich versiert beraten und sehr aufmerksam und freundlich bedient. Getränke, wie auch Speisen waren aufeinander abgestimmt und geschmacklich fühlten wir uns wie „bei Mama“ (sehr authentisch und sehr lecker). Beim nächsten Besuch in Düsseldorf werden wir sicherlich wieder herkommen und hoffen, die handelnden Personen wohlauf wieder vorzufinden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Großes Lob ans gesamte Team!

This lounge is next level. Games room, family room lots of coffee stations. The resteraunt will make you up a sandwich from their standard list, or customise it. I recommend a shower to refresh on the long haul flights.

Da ich ein wahrer Fan von marinaren Gerichten bin und es gerne in allen Restaurants teste, konnte ich es auch hier nicht unterlassen! „Fruti Di Mare“ wird hier Perfect aus frischer Italienischer Küche zubereitet und schmeck außerordentlich gut! Es gibt viele Restaurants, die einfach nur eine fertige Tomatensahnesauce bzw. Pizzasouce und Meeresfrüchten servieren! Schnell gemacht und schmeckt fürchterlich! Da ich schon einige Gerichten bei „La Castagnas“ probiert habe, kann ich sie nur weiterempfehlen ❤️

Wir haben nach unserer Heirat dort unser Hochzeitsessen eingenommen und waren begeistert vom Essen (Vorspeise, Hauptgang TOP!!)zusätzlich wurde uns noch der Tisch extra hierfür weiß gedeckt. Das Ambiente und das Personal waren Spitze und zum Schluss hat uns der Chef noch das Hochzeitslied gespielt. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und kann das Restaurant nur sehr empfehlen. Besten Dank an das Team von La Castagne!

Zwei von drei Abenden in Düsseldorf waren wir hier. Mega. Wir sind begeistert. Das Essen ist mega lecker. Die antipasti waren ein gaumenschmaus und die pastagerichte ein Traum. Die super nette Bedienung rundet das ganze noch ab und so finden wir es regelrecht schade, dass das Restaurant samt Team so weit weg von unserem zu Hause ist. Das wäre unsere stammitaliener mit minimum einem Besuch pro woche.
