I had spaghetti with scampi which was delicious, my husband had pizza which he was very happy with. Nice service and the food came quickly. The dog was also welcome. Will definitely come back

The pizzas are tasty and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Incredibly unfriendly service (a younger lady, presumably of German descent, not Italian). After waiting for well over an hour, we politely asked how long our food would take. She immediately started yelling loudly that other people were also waiting for their food and walked away. We stood up, paid for our drinks and appetizers, and left the restaurant. Never again!

A restaurant run by real Italians, which is immediately noticeable because they do everything possible to accommodate even the most unusual requests, even at night just before closing time, while remaining very friendly. We had a lovely evening at Trattoria Italia. The service was attentive and friendly, and the pizzas were also very tasty.

Well, Italian pizza is something else entirely. The eggplant was bitter, the cheese was tasteless and too much. The dough was soggy. It arrived uncut by car courier.

We were in the winter garden on June 7, 2025, as a large group of 45 people. I had previously emailed all the dishes to families. On the day itself, we received a very friendly and warm welcome. Everything went smoothly. The food was very, very delicious. We can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

We are very upset and will never order from the "Trattoria Italia" restaurant in Jena again. A few days ago, we ordered pizza using the Lieferando app, which informed us that this restaurant uses its own driver. Then an absurd guy arrived, not tall, with a slightly darker complexion, who immediately started screaming like a madman because he didn't like the phone number we had entered into the app. His screaming was so loud that even the neighbors looked out their windows to see what was going on. Is this normal? Does the restaurant realize that such a driver only drives away customers? YOU ARE NOT EVEN CAPABLE OF DOING THE EASIEST JOB IN THE WORLD!! YOU SHOULD JUST DELIVERY PIZZA POLITELY!! This driver doesn't understand. There are two more reviews that indicate a rude driver at this restaurant. Anyone who is unable to carry out a simple delivery in a civilized manner should not have any contact with customers.

We didn't have to wait long for the food, even though the restaurant was very busy. The portions were sufficient, but the flavor could have been more intense. Overall, the food was delicious.

Ordered food for five. One pizza was completely wrong. After calling, they made a new pizza – it wasn't the right one either. Another had some of the wrong toppings. Instead, a fly was baked into it. The three different pasta dishes caused stomach aches and, in some cases, diarrhea and vomiting. A complete disaster. We used to really enjoy eating here, but we'll stop now.

We spent a wonderful evening there. The fish dish of the day turned out to be a 250g tuna steak, prepared in Italian style with olives, capers, tomato sauce, and herbs. The wine was excellent. And at 34°C, the shady spot in the garden was a welcome relief. The staff was very friendly and communicative. We find it hard to understand the negative reviews for this restaurant. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Jena. Georg

The food was very good: plenty of sauce for the pasta. There's a wide selection of pastas, even with less common sauces. I had a sauce with spinach and roasted walnuts. The service wasn't unfriendly, but seemed a bit annoyed. There were only two tables occupied, each with two people. The interior is stylish. Everything is clean and tidy. Italian music completes the overall ambiance.

Shards in the food. Injured mouth, almost choked. My daughter also had shards in her portion of gnocchi. I'm horrified!!!

My favorite Italian restaurant in Jena.

My parents had reserved a table, but unfortunately, it was forgotten (there were seven of us), so they had to sit at a rather cramped table in the conservatory. The food, however, is delicious, and you can even watch the pizza being baked.

The food is highly recommended; incredibly delicious Italian cuisine. You can sit inside or outside, or order to go. Highly recommended if you're craving Italian food.

The restaurant is a bit hidden away, but it's hard to believe it has very good reviews in Jena, and rightly so. Our server, Vivi, was simply fantastic. Fast, funny, and competent. We would come back for that alone. The food was also simply delicious. It was an Italian dream. Thank you for this pleasant evening.

The delivery service is simply bottomless, the entire pizza is soggy, sticks to the box and is completely flabby. How can you send something like that?!🤣🤣 Zero stars would have been justified 🤣 The restaurant can of course be good, but if you send away pizzas like that, I doubt it 🤣

We were there in transit. I didn't think it was that good. It was a tense atmosphere. Everything just scurried scurried and we were put in the last corner where the lights kept going out. My pizza was... I just scraped off the toppings. Such a shame. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Were on the way back from vacation and the restaurant is close to the campsite. Didn't reserve. The service was super nice and really tried hard. The boss then assigned us a place near the exit. One pizza was burnt and the other was okay. Considering we were at the Italian restaurant... In any case, it was lightning fast... Unfortunately, no recommendation for the food.

Just disgusting. 35€ for the trash, I've ordered from many and it was definitely the worst food I've ever eaten. No spices & you can taste that it's mostly finished food. Very poor performance. Never again !

This is by far the best Italian restaurant I have eaten in in Germany. Super friendly service that provides professional information about the wines or the crappa. A nice ambience with a view of the kitchen and the typical Italian way of life. The food was wonderfully prepared and all the ingredients were really fresh. There is a large beer garden as well as a winter garden. Clean toilet, what more could you want. And finally, the prices are absolutely appropriate for the good quality. I will definitely come back.

I ordered a table 14 days in advance. With the note that I would like to celebrate my birthday with 10 people. We arrived on the day of the incident and there were no flowers or other decorations on the table. When all the guests were there, we almost had to ask the waiters to let us order something. If 10 people come and a birthday is registered, I expect to be asked for a round of Prosecco or sparkling wine to toast. Nothing like that was asked. We ended up waiting over an hour for food. I'd better not say anything about this now. Because you can eat Italian better with any Greek restaurant. The pizza was a tasteless disaster. The meat was terrible. The waiters were completely overwhelmed and no one spoke German. All in all, the website promises a taste of Italy. Maybe the chefs and owners should go to Italy. We definitely won't be coming back and if anyone asks, you know the answer.

This was the best pizza I've eaten in a long time. The edge was already crispy and tasted great too. The pizza was very large for the price and had a lot of toppings. Every ingredient tasted particularly good. The service was also very courteous and helpful. Would definitely come back!

We had a spontaneous dinner together a few weeks ago. The welcome was friendly, but unfortunately the restaurant was no longer able to score points after that. We're really not picky, but unfortunately we couldn't share the good reviews. For the starter, the two of us shared an antipasti variation for two. The hard cheese on it was green/blue moldy over a large area. Our note was noted and the main course followed. The horse beef my companion was priced at was top notch, but not medium, but rather rare and extremely tough. Unfortunately, the pizza with salsiccia and spinach wasn't a lucky choice either. The Salsiccia was distributed the size of a walnut and was also completely raw at its core... More than a shame...

A successful evening. The food was very tasty. There were 5 of us and everyone was thrilled from the starter, main course to dessert. Drinks 🍸 were also absolutely great. 100 percent recommendation.

We have never eaten such bad pizza. I had Hawaii, 2 slices of ham and zero taste. My husband had 3 small slices of salami and the taste was just as bland. Tiramisu soaked in water and mushy, you could tell it was old. Italian cuisine tastes different...Never again

Probably the cheapest Tomten in June, without taste. Eating in the wrong order, despite a clear request to have the tomato salad as “prime”. The eggplants in Pasta Norma are not really cooked. And then the service was rushed and even unfriendly. This was my fourth and definitely last visit. I appreciate simple Italian cuisine, but please not like that, no matter where.

You can tell straight away that this is original Italian cuisine. The service was very friendly and the price/performance ratio is unbeatable. Starter as an antipasti plate was very tasty, Rocula walnut/pear salad was very tasty. Pasta and pizza ok. Very loud and cramped, the waitress always runs past the table without looking, inattentive and not very warm when greeting you when you arrive and throughout the evening. Starters and drinks took an hour, even when the shop emptied there was no attention... it's a shame, it could be better, it's actually a nice place.

The food was like, well, I had a pizza that unfortunately had too many toppings and the dough was so soggy. Food and drinks ranged from "okay" to excellent. Personally, I had white pizza, it was absolutely delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is okay, maybe a bit cramped. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. A year later I have to report negatively. The waiter's order sheet was then found under the pizza that had been handed out. Unfortunately, the Argentine beef that was ordered medium was not medium, but medium rare (bloody), couldn't be chewed and didn't taste great. The porcini mushroom sauce with it had no taste at all - I was hoping for fresh porcini mushrooms in February, but then it was probably too tasteless. A carelessly prepared plate.

The food tasted very good and we also sat in the very cozy winter garden. The staff was very friendly towards us, but the tone between the employees was very rough, and disagreements were sometimes aired in front of the guests. There is also no changing table, which I think is a shame. Our only option was to change diapers in the car and there is hardly any parking space in front of the door. There is a need for optimization :)
