Quite okay, I found the service a shame. They only came once to get drinks, after that they didn't seem to care and in the end we had to wait forever to be noticed for the bill.

Arguably the most popular pizzeria in Jena, and for good reason. Located in level of neue Mitte and in the base atrium of JenTower, this shop is not difficult to find. The decor and ambience are excellent, as is the food and drink. My personal favourite is the salsiccia picante pizza and the margherita pizza. The aperol spritz maracuja is a popular drink here. Love the free peanuts available at the bar top. Overall this is a must visit restaurant pizzeria of Jena.

Service was very good, it's quite crowded and loud, which wasn't really my cup of tea, the food wasn't anything special and not really my cup of tea, the pasta dish was a bit too dry for me, hardly any sauce and didn't feel like it either My taste, it wasn't bad but not perfect/really good either, all in all okay. But as I said, the service was 1A, really tried hard and really nice and accommodating!

Were there as a larger group. Had the whole thing pre-ordered. Otherwise it probably wouldn't be possible during the Christmas season. It was packed. Unfortunately, the music was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with everyone at the long table. The staff was friendly and always approachable despite the likely stress. The pizzas were very good, both visually and in terms of taste. Unfortunately, the lasagna was baked on the bottom of the bowl so we had to get it all out. Taste was quite good. I just didn't notice any bechamel sauce in the lasagna.

Our family – my wife, our 5-year-old son and our 5-month-old baby boy – recently had lunch at L’Osteria in Jena and we absolutely loved it. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the entire staff. Our oldest was thrilled that he got his own children's menu, and we parents also felt like we were in good hands. The quiet and pleasant atmosphere was ideal for our 5-month-old son, so he was even able to take a nap - a real plus for new parents! The food was also great: the famous giant pizzas not only filled us up, but also impressed us with their taste. Everything was fresh, rich and really tasty. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely right, so we left with a good feeling. A perfect lunch for us as a family – we will definitely come back. A big shout out to the L’Osteria team at Jentower!

Delicious fresh Italian cuisine, cool music. Penna arabiata, gnocchi and risotto funghi are highly recommended. The Negroni too.

We spontaneously ate there for the first time yesterday. Super friendly and attentive staff even though the store was very busy. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The pasta was to die for, the beef was totally tender and the burrata pizza was also a delight. If we are in Jena again we will definitely be back 😊

Unfortunately, the preparation of our food only started when we asked after waiting 40 minutes - absolutely not family-friendly with a small child. The reason was a large order that comes in every Saturday.

JUICE SHOP!!! - 100 stars for this arogance of tonight's receptionist. You ask yourself why you should reserve if you don't get the table in the end because you had to wait too long in line!!! And then cheekily lie the table was given away even though we stood in line long enough to see that NO ONE could enter the restaurant before us. So I wonder within 2 minutes we were late (because she couldn't find the order from the previous customers)!!!!!

The food was great, but it was very loud even though there weren't many guests there. The waiters are too rarely at the table to ask if anything else is needed.

The food wasn't bad per se, but the service/cuisine was an absolute disaster. At the beginning alone we had to wait 15 minutes until we were assigned a table. It was very crowded and you had the feeling that the staff was very overwhelmed. After waiting for 30 minutes, we received our food in stages and only then were we told that there was no avocado for the avocado salad, which we could have been told earlier. The staff was nice, but as I said we had to wait too long. We wouldn't eat here again.

The three of us had dinner here today and were very satisfied! Even during the Christmas season, the service was top and the waiting time was short. The bruschetta and pizza caprese are highly recommended. Gladly again!

We ate here yesterday for a birthday and it was incredibly beautiful. The staff was very accommodating, it was very busy, the food was great and ready quickly and even though the restaurant was very busy, the ambience only suffered to a small extent. However, you should definitely make a reservation as it is very popular, especially at Christmas time.

Our delivered pizza was a joke. Ingredients spartan and then thrown onto one spot with one hand. Garlic was missing. Salt too little. (I did the one in the picture.) Far too expensive for that! Don't do it again... have it delivered here. Very sad. We very rarely order food. Today was no different. I recommend non solo to everyone instead!

We were there with 3 people on the 3rd of Advent. Food great staff great. The only small criticism is that it was very loud due to the many customers. But it's due to the date. I found Cesar Pizza 1/2 and BBQ Chicken 1/2 very tasty.

Great restaurant, with very nice waiters and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately one of the waiters was very unfriendly and brought with him a bad atmosphere. The tone with the guests was very bad and the way he bossed his colleagues around was also not okay in front of the guests. It is a man in his mid-20s with blonde hair and a tattooed arm. I would advise him to make the way he speaks to the guests a little more friendly and less aloof. An example: the whole table ordered drinks and my friend's was forgotten. Instead of asking politely, he looked at her and asked in an arrogant tone if she didn't want a drink. After that, there was no apology, he just told his colleague that she had forgotten a drink and should get it quickly. When we said we wanted to pay, he interrupted his colleague, who was busy collecting at another table, and told her: “They want to pay.” I think it would have been much more polite, for example: “The table/The ladies would also like to pay.” The colleague then apologized to us (for which there was no reason, but she apparently has decency) and asked if it would be okay if she could collect from the other table first. But all in all we were all very satisfied and I'm not deducting any stars because of one person.

It was a successful visit on November 24th, 2024. Food very good. Service is the same or better. Another visit will follow

Quite okay. Pizza huge, but also very greasy with salami.

The atmosphere has something of a cafeteria, simply because of the size and the many tables. The food is always good. The waitresses change often (probably often students) but are mostly nice and accommodating. We like coming here with children because the restaurant is child-friendly and the noise of our own children is drowned out in the background noise.

The pizza was very common but give me a pair of scissors how am I supposed to get the huge thing with the knife on the small plate small.

Insgesamt gebe ich der Erfahrung 3 von 5 Sternen, da das Essen hervorragend war, der Service jedoch deutliche Schwächen aufwies. Essen: 5 von 5 Sternen Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Pizzen waren geschmacklich top. Die Zutaten waren frisch, die Pizzen knusprig und gut belegt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass alle drei Pizzen auf den Punkt gebacken waren und die Vorspeisen ebenfalls sehr lecker zubereitet wurden. Hier gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Service: 2 von 5 Sternen Leider hat der Service den Gesamteindruck stark getrübt. Zunächst wurden uns falsche Limonaden gebracht, obwohl wir explizit nach den Sorten gefragt hatten. Es stellte sich heraus, dass unsere Bedienung noch in der Ausbildung für einen anderen Standort war, und eine andere Bedienung musste einspringen, um das Problem Getränke zu beheben. Das ist verständlich, aber dennoch ärgerlich. Auch bei den Vorspeisen gab es einen Fauxpas: Das Brot wurde vergessen und erst nachgeliefert, nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen hatten. Solche Kleinigkeiten summieren sich leider und hinterlassen einen unprofessionellen Eindruck. Der größte Kritikpunkt kam jedoch bei der Bezahlung: Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir einen Aufschlag von 10 % auf das gesamte Essen zahlen müssten, weil wir eine Pizza einpacken lassen wollten. Nachdem wir nachgefragt hatten, wurde das ganze relativiert mit dem Worten. Ich wollte nur einen Witz machen. Der Service trübte den ansonsten positiven Eindruck des Essens erheblich.

Super friendly and nice service, food was great, but unfortunately not all desserts can be ordered

Went there for the second time today and found that 5 stars are appropriate. The food is great, the service is great and the prices are okay because the food is huge. At least the pizzas. Always happy.

There were four of us when we visited the restaurant on November 16th, 2024 and each of us was totally thrilled! We arrived late but we were still warmly welcomed. The above-average friendly service staff fulfilled our every wish with a super-fast response time. And the top guy was the restaurant manager! Always on site, in all parts of the very busy restaurant... Absolutely nice and accommodating. Very, very good!!! You want a dedicated boss like that in the catering industry. And that's exactly what he transfers to the entire team. Keep it up... We'll definitely come back next time we're in Jean!

We really enjoyed the visit. We each ordered a pizza divided into two halves as well as various drinks and a dessert each. We can't complain about anything, everything was fine, we were happy and satisfied. The service staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful to us. Every wish was catered for. Overall, we can recommend L' Osteria, just as it was recommended to me. My recommendation: reserve your seats conveniently online, the restaurant is so busy that it might be difficult otherwise! 😅

Despite the fact that it is always full, that speaks volumes about how great the service, the service and the ambience are. And the food... I've actually never eaten such a delicious salad and such a great pizza anywhere else. A dream. Again and again.

We were at L'Osteria in Jena on October 30th. Our reserved table by the window was still occupied, so we had to wait maybe another 15 minutes. This waiting time was "sweetened" with a glass of champagne at the house's expense. The service was super nice, the food tasted very good. We can recommend this restaurant without reservations!

A small restaurant chain offering ‘modern’ Italian food. Pizzas are truly massive, and my avocado and quinoa salad was also very large, as well as nicely dressed and tasty. We went in mid-afternoon having skipped lunch. As a result I also skipped dinner! The seating area is large, and service was quick and friendly.

The food was very good. The pizza was very large, my Vegetariana was poorly topped and I didn't taste any garlic at all. The pasta portions were sufficient and tasty, but if you add desired ingredients, whether pizza or pasta, the final price can quickly add up. This time we ate on site, very nice waitresses, despite the full restaurant, always nice and polite. The food was very good and this time the garlic was also there. A bit noisy here...sounds a bit like a train station but the food and service are great.

We are actually regulars. Today we left the restaurant after 20 minutes without ordering because no waiter felt responsible for us and we hadn't even received the monthly menu. The QR order didn't work either. Service staff talked their way out of it with “I’m new” and “it’s not my area”. The restaurant wasn't nearly as full as usual. In short: service is getting progressively worse while the prices on the menu are rising. Will probably not come back again.

Much too loud music in the "background" the pasta dishes are more of an appetizer compared to pizza. But it tastes good and the staff is very nice

A great restaurant with Italian food, large selection, including drinks! We tried everything: starter, pizza, pasta, dessert, espresso!!! All excellent!

Even though we had reserved days in advance, we were given a cramped table at the drafty entrance. We didn't like the drinks and the supposed Italian food really has NOTHING to do with it. Our condition was fine and very friendly. But the other staff was incompetent and still felt super cool 😎. My conclusion: fast food with an Italian touch. Never again.

Great, lively restaurant in the heart of Jena. Very nice atmosphere and the food was excellent! Huge thin pizzas, great salads, great pasta dishes. There were 11 of us and everyone enjoyed their dish. Definite recommendation!
