Ristorante Pizzeria Eiscafé Portofino in Jena

I've never eaten such a bad burger. The bottom part of the bun was burnt but cold. Nicely concealed with a lettuce leaf. The chicken meat was barely fried and gristly. From ordering to eating, it took 45 minutes. With just 5 guests in the entire store. Oh yes, of course the EC card machine is defective. The tax office shouldn't notice everything either. Some of the tables were very dirty and the old guests' dishes were still there. But they had been gone for a long time. Absolutely not recommended. One star is still too many.

Stracciatella tastes like lemon? Since when does stracciatella ice cream have lemon in it? That doesn't belong there.

By far the worst Italian food we have ever had. After 3 hours of waiting and multiple calls, the completely cold food arrived. Pizza and burgers were burnt black. You don't deliver something like that, it belongs in the trash. The aglio olio e peperoncino pasta had no garlic and no pepperoni but instead had anchovies and cheese in it. What is that supposed to be? There should be mozzarella on the pizza. In fact it was an analogue of cheese and ham. This is NOT okay. We didn't want to accept that and tried to call them again several times. We were just pushed away. Before I ever eat anything here again, I'd rather burn the money. At least I have something warm.

The service was very friendly, the food (pizzas) were delicious and very quick at the table. We also asked whether everything tasted good and was OK. It only took a while when we wanted the bill because there was no one in sight.

Delicious ice cream, the only one in Jena that uses fresh cream... I will come more often... best regards from not just coffee Valentina&Massimo

First of all, children are served here!!! The child sings at the counter and doesn't seem to understand orders properly. After clearly pointing out the right type of ice cream, you get two huge scoops (actually something good), but after less than a minute they fall from the cone onto the floor and NO, that's not my fault, because the scoops were stacked poorly. Not an isolated case!!! Customers after me experience the same thing :/ Now you would say that at least it was tasty, but that would also be a lie. Definitely the wrong decision just because the balls are 20 cents cheaper than on the wood market. Much better at the wood market!!!

Delicious gluten free pizza. Will definitely come more often! Also good service and no long waiting times.

Leider kann man dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Es ruht sich ein wenig auf seiner zentralen Lage mit Außenfläche in der Nähe zum Theater aus. Wir waren 3 Mal über einen längeren Zeitraum da, in der Hoffnung, dass ja auch mal ein schlechter Tag dabei sein kann - ab sofort gehen wir nicht mehr hin. Die Getränke kommen in schlecht gespülten Gläsern. Das Besteck ist klebrig, man mag es nicht zum Essen benutzen, die Qualität der Speisen ist höchstens untere Mittelklasse. Billiger Mozzarella auf schwarz getoastetem alten Baguette, Vinaigrette aus billigem Oliven(?)öl und billigem Essig. Die Lasagne war mit einer dicken Schicht geschmacksneutralem Käse überbacken. Die Bedienung war zwar sehr freundlich bei der Bestellungsaufnahme, hat aber über die Qualität des Essens auch nicht helfen können. Auch der Toilettenbesuch ist nicht zu empfehlen. Überall flogen kleine Abortfliegen herum. Außerdem waren keine Papierhandtücher zum Hände trocknen vorhanden. Alles in allem würde ich sagen, könnte das das Gesundheitsamt mal ein Auge drauf werfen ...

Ordered seafood pizza but was very disappointed. You had to look for the seafood. Instead there were a few chunks of surimi on the pizza. My friend chose the pizza ice cream in the picture on the menu with fruit and strawberries. The strawberries were missing. There were only a few scattered currants on the plate. When asked, the waiter smiled and said that it was just a picture. We'll go somewhere else in the future.

The food is ok but the service is awful.

The food is delicious and fresh, the service is excellent.

Unfortunately, it was completely different this afternoon than it was at lunchtime 3 weeks ago. We sat for over 10 minutes without anyone noticing us. After waving, a small, dark-haired waitress came and asked her to bring us two iced coffees and the bill straight away. Nothing happened for over 10 minutes afterwards. She also ignored the dirty glass and the bill from the previous guest. At some point I had enough and went in. The other waitress didn't know anything about our order and when she asked the first person, she said we hadn't ordered anything... Sure, we sat there for almost 25 minutes because it was so nice... Anyway, after complaining, we quickly got our second one Iced coffee and the bill. Of course there were no tips. So don't go back there anytime soon!

We had a very nice afternoon/evening yesterday. We felt very well looked after. All wishes were addressed and fulfilled. The food and ice cream were great. We are already looking forward to the next time. Kudos to the friendly staff! It's always beautiful here! We recommend

Totally unfriendly staff. Football was still going on, friends of ours were sitting there. The kitchen was closed so we couldn't order anything. We then got something from somewhere else and wanted to join our friends. We were then thrown out... Drinks from outside were obviously okay because everyone else had bottles that definitely weren't from the restaurant. Then offer something from your own kitchen instead of throwing you out because of something like that!

Very friendly service. Tasty ice cream (could be a bit firmer, but still ok). The ambience is quite pleasant for a street cafe or an outdoor area on a street.

Without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant in Jena. Friendly and competent staff, always available to give you the best advice on choosing the various foods. Excellent food. Clean and welcoming place.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. The dough could have stayed in the oven longer and the topping was another disappointment. We ordered the “Pollo” pizza, which is topped with chicken strips, broccoli and BBQ sauce. Unfortunately, we both had very little toppings on them, a small strip of chicken and a tiny broccoli floret each. There was even more BBQ sauce on it, but it wasn't particularly edible because there was just too much. So we cannot recommend the restaurant.

We tried the newly opened ice cream part, shockingly high price for terrible quality of the ice cream, it was 2 eur 30 cents per really tiny amount of a scoop, a mix of water , sugar but no cream whatsoever in there, the ice cream was not vegan so the standards are apparently broken here! The girl serving the customers was violating all hygene rules , working with NO gloves and touching the wafer cones with undesinfected hands and handling cash! Will definitely not buy any ice cream from there!

We were there at lunchtime and had the Pollo pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza was only topped with a little chicken and broccoli and more with BBQ sauce. You hardly tasted the chicken and broccoli at all because everything was overloaded with BBQ sauce. So unfortunately it's not worth €12.90 and I think it's one of the worst pizzas we've had so far.

I ordered Portofino Burger. Was really good. Plenty of fries on the side. Without being asked, 2 times mayo and ketchup. Nice service. Fast delivery despite a busy restaurant. Come back.

I've never experienced spaghetti carbonara without parmesan... The glasses weren't entirely clean either. Well, in summary: you can do it - but you don't have to

Restaurant on the street corner. With both outdoor and indoor seating. Italian speaking staff, very friendly. Pizza was good, coffee as it should be. We'll be back to try the pasta 👍

The 3 pizzas we ordered today were nothing. All 3 burnt, tomatoes and mozzarella cut way too big, arugula distributed very lovingly (not). Not acceptable for the price! Portofino Jena is losing massively!!!

Just like the impression you get when you enter the place, it stays intact until you leave. From the start, without any fuss, it's just about one thing: good time, good service, good food. The service was friendly and attentive, the pizzas (Thursday is pizza day around lunchtime) were perfect 👍👌 (according to the experts: both 11 years old) and we sat quite well too. The only drawback: please pay a little more attention to the sanitary facilities! Otherwise: 👏👏👏👏

For me the best pizza in Jena. The restaurant is very cozy and well maintained. The staff very friendly and accommodating. A clear recommendation from me.

Delivery took place 1.5 hours later than stated and only after asking by phone, where you are also insulted for asking! The food was cold, the arugula was moldy and the main course was missing fries and salad. Furthermore, it wasn't overbaked as stated. If you want delicious food, order somewhere else! Never again!!!!

Super Essen!!! Die Pizza Funghi war perfekt und auch das Tafelwasser ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Eis ist himmlisch. Ein bisschen klein insgesamt aber gemütlich.... Die Toiletten sehr schlicht aber hygienisch einwandfrei.

Ich bin rund um Zufrieden! Das Essen war schmackhaft, die Bedienung sehr nett und das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Man konnte sich gut unterhalten! Das einzige was hätte noch besser sein können, eine größere Auswahl an Vegetarischen Gerichten. Burger gibt's z.B. nur mit Fleisch. Aber alles in allen ein schöner Besuch :)

Die Pizza war super und als einziges Gericht ihr Geld wert. Die Pasta (Spaghetti Bolognese) war geschmacklich ganz gut, aber die Nudeln hätten noch eine Minute gebraucht und von der Menge hätte es ruhig etwas mehr sein können. Als Erwachsener wird man davon nicht satt. Totaler Reinfall war der Salat. Sah aus wie einfach alles nacheinander draufgeklatscht... dann waren Oliven mit dabei (die nirgends vorher erwähnt wurden, ansonst hätten wir die abbestellt), geschmacklich war es auch das schlechteste bei unserem Besuch. Das Ambiente und die Kellner sind in Ordnung, wobei man auf letztere teils etwas länger als gewohnt warten muss.

Als Standard Eisladen ganz OK aber nichts besonderes. Dazu will man wohl auch ein italienisches Restaurant sein. Und sorry das war nix. Die Pizza vom Discounter finde ich da fast Spannender. Fur mich fehlte es an Bella Italia

Der Ort liegt nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind groß und es gibt Platz auf der Straße. Es gibt spezielle Angebotstage, an denen Sie Ihr Lieblingsgericht zu einem günstigeren Preis probieren können. In der warmen Jahreszeit gibt es auch Getränke und Eis zum Mitnehmen und Mitnehmen.

Gute Pizzen und sehr leckeres Eis. Die Pizzeria hat sich im Vergleich zu früher deutlich verbessert. Auch das Ambiente ist angenehmer geworden. Ich esse dort regelmässig und habe in den allermeisten Fällen ein sehr geschmackvolles Essen oder auch hervorragende Weine, die man in einer Pizzeria vielleicht gar nicht erwartet. Da den ganzen Tag Sonne anliegt kann man auch mal im Herbst draussen sitzen

Essen sehr gut auch der Service ist top. Früher war da beim Vorgänger ein recht unhöflicher Honk nun ist das echt wieder toll.
