Trattoria Carissima GmbH in Düsseldorf

I had the truffle pasta in a Parmesan nest, and unfortunately, the food wasn't good at all. The Parmesan nest was burnt and tasted accordingly; the pasta was okay, but not particularly tasty. You can have bad luck anywhere, but unfortunately, this was really not recommended.

Very, very unfortunate. Once our favorite Italian, it has now unfortunately lost a lot of quality. The pasta I ordered to take away, apart from the fact that the portion was smaller due to the new packaging (adults won't get full of it), was literally stuck to the package. The pizza, thick burnt edge in the middle a soggy soup. The parmesan for the pasta was already moldy in one place in the mini packaging (for 2 portions of pasta). Thank you for good food in the past. We will not visit the restaurant again in the future.

I have always ordered takeaway food and have always been impressed with the quality. Without a doubt, this restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants I have visited so far. Today I decided to enjoy the local dining experience. However, despite making a reservation in advance, we were not greeted or acknowledged when entering the restaurant. As someone who works in the catering industry myself, I understand the high number of people in this always busy restaurant. Nevertheless, I think it is essential to at least briefly greet guests and ask for their patience. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired in this regard, which is why I can only rate it with one star.

The food is absolutely recommendable; you can tell the cooking is done with love and professionalism. The service is attentive, but not overly friendly. The ambiance is pleasant, but suffers from the cramped tables. Privacy is almost impossible.

We had the vitello tonnato as a starter and two pizzas for the main course. Everything tasted okay, but nothing special. In my opinion, this is a place for people who live nearby.

Pizza not baked properly, limp dough, some still completely soaked (which you could see with the naked eye, chef was probably asleep when taking it out). Toppings taste worse than your average frozen pizza from the supermarket.

We came here for the first time based on a recommendation on Facebook. Unfortunately we were disappointed, we haven't eaten such bad pizza in a long time. Looks great, taste flop. It was totally soft, the edge was nice and thick but not crispy at all, a shame. I give 5 stars for the pasta with truffles, it was really tasty. As far as service is concerned, unfortunately I only have to give it 3 stars. Lots of staff but unfortunately inattentive.

We had pasta. The portion is definitely enough for children, and quite good as an appetizer for adults. Everything tasted pretty good... But service grade 6. According to the motto "You're lucky, master, to be able to eat here" (yes, it's a problem when two children want pasta, but in the great Oberkassel there are only two shops for it in the area). Smile at service? For what reason? Apparently just an unknown spasm of the facial muscles. Safe place? No. If you go to the toilet for a moment with one child, you simply sit the other child one table away to make room for other guests.

We were here with friends. The service was nice and the pasta and pizza tasted quite good. The bruschetta was m.m.n. Way too hard and not like we are used to from other Italian restaurants. We thought the waiting times were far too long – almost three quarters of an hour. It's a shame that I have the impression that critical reviews may not be welcome here.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier. Die Bedienung war nett und die Nudeln und Pizza haben recht gut geschmeckt. Die Bruschetta waren m.M.n. viel zu hart und nicht wie wir sie von anderen Italienischen Restaurants gewohnt sind. Wir fanden, die Wartezeiten waren viel zu lang – fast eine dreiviertel Stunde. Schade, dass ich den Eindruck habe, dass kritische Bewertungen hier möglicherweise nicht gerne gesehen sind.

Carissima was one of the first pizzerias on the left bank of the Rhine and was one of the best for a long time. That has changed radically. The pizza is soggy, consists of 1/4 thick crust and only has traces of the ordered toppings in the middle. The pizza is further away from crispy pizza base than the moon. Garlic? Oregano? Nothing, so we supplemented ourselves at home. Simply awful. This is the second time this has happened to us at Carissima. There will be no third attempt.

I enjoy going there often and always! Service is friendly and the food is always great!

Update 2024, diagnosis: You became cocky and greedy. Additional catering space was added, carelessly decorated like a chip shop, Uber Eats was brought on board, it was incredibly hectic. Instead of spaghetti AOP, there's lingune every now and then - the German won't notice. Portions a third smaller. Pizza worse. Very, very unfortunate. That was once: Authentic, warm, delicious. Excellent pizza (my favorite: Sapporita!), delicious pasta. Friendly, warm staff. Anyone who is allegedly served unfriendly here should critically examine their own facial expressions.

Very tasty pasta! The prices are also very fair for Oberkassel. It's a bit noisy there but I would definitely come back.

Ordered and received pizza, looked very tasty, it was served to the three of us, crispy on the outside and super soggy on the inside, the waiter said it was Napoli style. I thought it was bad, after all there was dessert for two people for free, and by the way the wine 🍷 was very good. I would never eat pizza there again

Enttäuschend, schlechter Service, sehr unaufmerksam, ein geiziges Saltimbocca, verkochte Kartoffeln und ungewürztes Gemüse, Hauswein Rose eher unbefriedigend, es wurde uns keine Weinkarte angeboten, obgleich es anderen Wein gab. Das Dessert ein Skandal, Convenience, ich war eingeladen, ich werde definitiv, dieses Restaurant besuchen und auch nicht empfehlen.

Food/pizza on site is great. We won't be ordering again because the pizzas were black in some places twice and too cold because the dough is so thin. It's actually a shame, because we think the pizza is one of the best in Düsseldorf.

…“We pamper your palate with … tempting desserts … we value good, fresh ingredients.” I was taught otherwise! On December 28th we were there with 6 people in the evening. It was loud and hectic, the staff forgot the salad. The pizzas were ok. Then I ordered a cassata for dessert. Immediately after the first spoonful I noticed that the outer layer was sticky - it tasted disgusting. I removed the outer layer and ate a little more, but left over half untouched. During the night I vomited several times and got chills. On Sundays I felt weak and couldn't eat. It wasn't until Monday afternoon that my stomach had slowly calmed down again and my circulation was more stable. I then informed the pizzeria using the contact form and have not received any response to date. A visit to a restaurant that causes this reaction in me and a management that can't handle complaints - I don't need that a second time and give this pizzeria 0 points

Wir waren anlässlich eines Geburtstags abends dort mit 6 Personen. Wir haben uns für verschiedene Nudelgerichte und Pizza entschieden. Vorweg Carpaccio und Bruschetta. Das Carpaccio war unheimlich zäh. Die Tagliarini mit Tomatensoße und Carpaccio war absolut geschmacklos, selbst mit Salz wurden die Nudeln nicht besser und das Carpaccio war wie bei der Vorspeise extrem zäh! Die Pizza Tonno war matschig, der gesamte Boden durchgeweicht. Der Service war unheimlich unaufmerksam, trotzdessen das Restaurant nur halb gefüllt war. Es war auch kaum möglich Getränke zu bestellen, kein Kellner/in fühlte sich angesprochen, so konnten wir auch nicht das Essen reklamieren. Nach dem Essen wurden dann endlich nach 15 Minuten die Teller abgeräumt, nachdem wir mehrfach nachgefragt hatten. Die Rechnung kam immerhin recht schnell…. Es wurde uns zwar noch ein Digestif angeboten, was wir dann verneint hatten und nur noch raus wollten! Ich habe noch sehr gute Zeiten im Carissima in Erinnerung, wo der Service motiviert war und das Essen extrem lecke. Diese Zeiten sind leider vorbei.

I ordered two pizzas home on Sunday, 12/22/24, a margherita and a tuna pizza. Unfortunately, both pizzas were overcooked, the edges were burnt and the dough wasn't baked properly. The taste did not meet my expectations. When I raised my concerns with the restaurant, I was told that this was their way of cooking and that most guests were satisfied. The food is delicious, no question. However, the service is really bad. There were 7 of us there, the shop was full but there were around 7 waiters serving. They couldn't manage to get us all to eat at the same time. The drinks were forgotten, we had to remind them several times... we realized that it wasn't just us. It's a shame because the food was really good...

A spontaneous visit via carissima. The pizza was supposed to be great - personally I don't like my pizza Neapolitan - my bad luck :) The fennel salad was absolutely amazing. I would take it again in a heartbeat.

I haven't eaten such bad pizza for so much money in a long time. It doesn't taste like anything and the taste of the analogue cheese masks everything. A margarita for 9.50 euros is quite an announcement; if it's good, then you might be happy to pay for it. After just half a pizza you notice how the cheap rubber cheese spreads in your stomach. Basically, when it comes to cuisine, the average Oberkassel resident is pretty simple either way. The Carissima is a good example of this. You can get better food for less money all over the city, but you just won't be seen there. So really a disappointing taste experience. The staff is friendly and anyone who likes pepper mills the size of small children and wants to look at a few Rolexes up close will also find something to their liking here. If you want to eat well, you should avoid this place.

This store is truly one of the worst in Düsseldorf. :) First we were lied to on site that our order was already being processed after we had waited 40 minutes, then we waited another 20 minutes and were told that we had been forgotten. No accommodating accommodation or anything like that. After we wanted to give it another chance and ordered online, they only gave the driver half of the order. And they were very rude to me on the phone. So visit at your own risk.

Die Pizza ist überhaupt nicht gut, nach langer Wartezeit, lauwarm, wenig geschmacklich, schwach belegt, Trotzdem beliebt das Restaurant!

This store is a complete disgrace when it comes to coordination and service! If I'm not able to take orders and prepare them in a reasonable amount of time, maybe I should just leave it alone. After waiting 50 minutes I got my money back for two margarita pizzas. Just embarrassing!!

All pizzas were undercooked and some had very little toppings, some were completely missing. 15 minutes until we could only order drinks after asking. Drinks were forgotten and and and. What's going on here? The pizza maker died and the staff is still mourning. Guys, pull yourself together! You were REALLY GOOD!

Grilled vegetable pizza is the best!!

Order online: Extra requests were not taken into account (garlic), lettuce was partly rotten and not easy to foresee. The only thing that was great was the fennel in the salad (not everyone has it). Pizza really limp and tasteless. Mozzarella not “done” properly. Very, very unfortunate.

After the pizza, which was tasty, I had a really bad stomach ache and so did my colleague, so we both couldn't go to school the day after. Unless you are an adult or a lady you are totally neglected, our food arrived a good 20 minutes later than people who arrived much later than us, unlike ALL the tables, no bread was served to us. Arrogant waiter at that and the bruschetta cost a good €7 if I remembered for 2 pieces that weren't really that special...

Unfortunately I have to edit my 5 star review. Service is not professional and it’s not my fault that due to stress and arguments between workers at Carissima I got the wrong salad. They kinda forced me to take the wrong plate but I did not want to eat a salad with red meat so I please asked for the salad with mushrooms and turkey. Well, I got finally the turkey salad and the turkey was RAW inside and of course they did not even prepare another salad for me (I could find pieces of red meat hidden in between the mushrooms and salad leaves from the first salad served). Also the turkey tasted and looked like chicken (idk anymore). It was a shame. I loved Carissima but I’m not thinking of coming again. They did not even apologize when I paid and offered me a shot of alcohol when I pointed out the problem. Come on, I don’t even drink alcohol and I’m not gonna be happier by getting a shot of limoncello. Who do they think I am? They should have discounted at least the salad…

Disappointing! There were four of us there. The beer was too warm. Two meals only came 15 minutes after the first dishes. I had a Milanese veal schnitzel where the breading was dripping with oil. The service was completely overwhelmed. We were happy when we were outside again. No recommendation from me.

Not so good anymore! Pizza twice, the base of both was very soggy, the edge wasn't crispy, it was sticky. The toppings for the tuna pizza were very clear…. Three of us ate here on a Friday. Unfortunately, as is often the case in Düsseldorf, the tables are very close together. The background noise is very loud. We then had the misfortune of having a loud group next to us, whose conversation we sometimes heard more than ours. Food was quite good so far. We ordered bruschetta. And we got two bruschettas for three people. The salad was okay. Of the main courses, 2 out of 3 were satisfied. The pizzas already had very black spots on the top but the bottom was still very soft. Pasta dishes are apparently very good. Service was okay but not friendly either. But that also seems to be relatively normal in Düsseldorf.

I recently ordered a Margherita pizza to pick up for €9.50. Unfortunately, after consuming it, I felt unwell and experienced symptoms similar to food poisoning. A friend who ate with me also felt nauseated. It would be helpful if the pizzeria checks the freshness of the ingredients to avoid similar incidents in the future.

The pizza is by far the best in Oberkassel - something like a Neapolitan However, the service is not acceptable Multiple visits: Drinks sometimes take 20 minutes even though there are 3-4 waiters and only 6 tables, half of which are already taken care of. Bread is not brought, even after telling you that you would like bread, it takes almost 10-15 minutes. The bread, which was then brought with gritted teeth, was old and not fresh (How do I know this? I've been there several times and know what the fresh bread looks and tastes like) As you can see from the other reviews, service is an ongoing issue. It's a shame and it won't change because the guests will still come.

I’m very disappointed on why i pay cash and i never got my change back. Antino took my cash and never gave me my change. as i sat there he walked by not just 1 time but several times looking at me. I just walked out because of how this kid have the mordacity to just take my money.

Here you can feel and taste Italy. The pizza is simply great! The “busy” ambience and the Italian hospitality are all present. The fact that you sometimes have to wait a little for your food is irrelevant because the customer is king here! The team: a well-rehearsed team with a lot of heart and humor, despite stressful work. You simply feel comfortable here. Thanks to the great team!

Hier gehen wir nicht mehr.Essen war früher ganz gut.Personal ist überfordert und unfreundlich.Sie haben eine Riesen Terrasse aufgebaut die sich bis vor den Blumenladen erstreckt und verkaufen massig Pizzen außer Haus.15 Minuten Wartezeit bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden obwohl man mehrmals an uns vorbei gelaufen ist.Und das auch nur,weil sich noch 2 weitere Personen zu uns gesetzt hatten.Pizza wurde mit doppelt Salami und Champigon bestellt und Knochblauch,ebenso so die Pasta mit Knoblauch.Pizza war nicht doppelt belegt und auf unsere Nachfrage ob dies der bestellte doppelte Belag sei wurde patzig reagiert und die Pizza mitgenommen und mit mehr Salami gebracht aber nicht mehr Champignons.Zudem war die Pizza nur noch lauwarm.Bei beiden Gerichten fehlte der bestellte Knoblauch und auf Nachfrage wurde mit den Augen gerollt und versprochen welchen zu bringen.Kam aber nicht! Dir Pizza hatte am Rand sehr viel Teig und in der Mitte war sie matschig.Wäre die Salami nicht drauf gewesen,hätte sie nach nichts geschmeckt.Die Pasta war überwiegend al dente allerdings waren einige Penne dazwischen die einen gestern Gargrad hatten.Wir mussten 3 mal nach der Rechnung fragen was insgesamt wieder 15 Minuten dauerte.Auf unsere Kritik hin kam keine Entschuldigung o.ä. Good pizza, unfortunately we had to wait a long time.

We ordered pizza for takeout. It was very good but when we went to pick it up we had to wait while the staff was relaxing outside. They couldn’t seem to decide who should cash out the customer….. the outdoor tables were all occupied so it must be a good restaurant.

Evening, dinner with pizza and wine, good atmosphere and, well, the best service, what else can you expect from a trattoria? I recommend visiting, a special plus is for accommodation without prior reservation.

Cool location and delicious pizza, that could be the headline. Located in Oberkassel, you basically eat on the street, but that also has something to offer in the Düsseldorf district. You can observe and notice a lot. The food was excellent and can only be recommended. We will come back.

Never again!!!! We waited 45 minutes for our food, after 30 minutes we were given old, hard white bread. No service staff felt responsible. After 45 minutes and repeated requests, the food arrived. The meal was finished but there was no waiter again. After another 30 minutes I went to the bartender and politely asked if I could finally get the bill. Not to mention the dishes that have been cleared away. I will never visit this restaurant again!!!!

Waitress super inattentive. Food tasty but very small portions

A disaster from the first to the last second. The entire restaurant was empty, but we weren't allowed to sit at the window because it was a four-person seat. We waited almost an hour for the food (even though there were only two other guests in the restaurant). The fennel salad for €10.50 was the biggest outrage I have experienced in a restaurant in my life. A few fennel leaves, some pepper and three thin orange slices. It couldn't be more loving. My wife's pasta was completely cooked and tasteless (barely) seasoned. Our wholehearted recommendation: never eat there! It couldn't be worse.

Unfortunately I was duped in terms of price and noticed too late. A Pizza Tonno is listed on the menu as 12.50 euros. I ordered a “Pizza Tonno with onions” and ended up paying 15.90 euros?! So 3.40 euros extra for less than three slices of onions? Unfortunately, I noticed it too late because I picked up two more pizzas and didn't know the prices for them. Pay attention to what you are charged here. In any case, the pizza was average for the price.

However, I’m back to update my opinion based on my last two visits, which have exceeded my expectations. During these visits, we ordered pizza and wine, and what can I say… it was simply divine. The pizza was perfectly crafted, with a deliciously crisp crust and fresh, flavorful toppings that truly set it apart. Paired with a fine selection of wine, the meal was exceptional. The restaurant is located in a charming area of Düsseldorf, offering a friendly and pleasant atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making each visit enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend making this restaurant a stop for anyone looking to try some of the best pizza in Düsseldorf. Trattoria CARISSIMA is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant in Düsseldorf. The location is great! You are close to the Rhine and can walk along the Rhine after or before your visit. There is parking on the side street. A charging station right outside the door. You have the option of sitting under a roof outside, but there is also plenty of space inside. The extension next door has also recently been opened. The annex is very modern and beautifully furnished. The food is great! Delicious Neapolitan pizzas at fair prices. And that in Oberkassel! Just a toilet. Nobody checks cleanliness and paper, soap dispensers are loose on ledges. What about the old toilets in the basement? One woman does nothing except say that the other will take the orders. Both understand and hardly speak German. Everything is extremely slow and impersonal compared to before. There won't be anyone there to take repeat orders anyway. The acoustics got even worse after the renovation. Enormous noise level even though it wasn't even really full.

The pizza was exceptionally good! Unfortunately the pasta couldn't keep up at all. The service was extremely fast at first, then it slowed down a bit. Hence a rather mixed impression.

The pasta with bologne sauce was below average, served dry probably because the sauce was overcooked.

**Worst pizza I've ever had!** I recently ordered a pizza from Tratoria Carissima and was extremely disappointed. First of all, delivery took much longer than expected. When the pizza finally arrived it was almost cold. The dough was tough and tasteless, the sauce was watery and barely seasoned, and the toppings were sparse and not fresh. Also, the pizza was much smaller than I expected for the price. Customer service was also abysmal - when I called to complain I was rudely turned away. I will definitely never order from here again and I absolutely cannot recommend this store. Bad experience from start to finish!

The pizza is really delicious! The ingredients are fresh, the dough is crispy and the toppings are generous. The service in the pizzeria is also positive. The employees are nice and create a pleasant, fun atmosphere. However, they do take some time to serve and are not particularly attentive when it comes to re-ordering drinks. An incorrect order was also brought to us, but it was immediately taken back and replaced accordingly. However, it should be mentioned that the staff reacts a bit offended when you order pizza with pineapple. Of course, this may be a quality feature for some guests and I won't include it in the rating - hehe. One disadvantage of the pizzeria is the outdoor area. This is located right on the main street in Oberkassel, which creates noise and a relatively uncomfortable atmosphere. At the time of our visit, the smell of the nearby sewer was also very present, which significantly affected the outdoor dining. In summary, I can say that the pizzeria offers delicious food despite some inconveniences. If you can look past the location and occasional smells, it's definitely worth a visit.

We ate outside. The service is very bad. Too many waiters and no one feels addressed. The salad comes with the main course and the dry bread during the meal. Salad was good. Pasta tastes like the extra sheet. Pizza is ok! They didn't want any money. Only after I asked for it in the store. The bill was slapped down unfriendly. There were no tips.

Disastrous service. Carissima used to be our favorite pizzeria. Nice waiters, great food. Now no one knows what the other is doing. You have to run behind everything. Last but not least, half of my €15 pizza to take away was slapped in aluminum foil. A real shame.

Wir haben beide einen Salat Capricciosa bestellt, den eigentlich ausgesuchten Salat mit Putenbrust gab es nicht -:( Der Salat kam und sah aus wie ein Salat aus der Tüte (vielleicht war er das). Eine Scheibe Schinken lag oben drauf, auch die Sauce sah und schmeckte wie aus der Tüte. Der Streukäse auch. Schon wieder. Wir waren früher sehr oft im Carissima und sind wegen des guten Essens oft hin. Hat der Besitzer gewechselt ? Wir wissen es nicht. Da es in OK genügend Italiener gibt war das der letzte Versuch.

After the restaurant management changed, the pizza suddenly improved. Now that the store is expanding, they've probably decided to bake Neapolitan pizza instead of the classic Roman pizza. Unfortunately, this is an absolute failure! Rarely have I had such a bad pizza. In addition, the take-away pizza with olives and tuna we ordered was simply a Margherita. Since I had an appointment, I didn't look much into the boxes. It's a good thing that I stupidly gave a tip beforehand. The next pizza will be baked in-house again. It tastes great and doesn't even cost half as much. Simply annoying. 😡

It was another very cozy and delicious evening. Unlike other hot Italians in Oberkassel, I always feel welcome here. Thanks. Definitely make a reservation here.

It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious Italian meal, despite it being very busy, they still provided us with a table for a large group. We'll be back on our next visit to the trade fair and will reserve in good time this time ;-) Thanks to your great team

A visit here is always a particularly beautiful experience. A family with children sits at one table. A couple in love sits at the other. Business people sit next to them. Everyone has a great time with a good mood and good food. The pizza tastes extremely good. You can't go wrong with the rest of the card either. The kitchen is open and you can see how the food is prepared. The team is as professional and loving as you can only experience in a family-run restaurant. We enjoy going here and accept that enjoyment and experience also have their price.

We finally made it ! Carissima!!! Yippi....heard so much. Only the best!!!! I hadn't eaten pizza in a long time and was really looking forward to a salami pizza. My darling had an appetite for beef carpaccio and bruschetta. We also ordered a dry white wine for me (it was ok, 6.20 euros) and a Schumacher, which came in a key glass. 😂 Let's get to the pizza!!!! The edge was slightly black, which I didn't think was bad, crispy but not too strong, just good as a topping, the tomato sauce was really tasty, fruity and well seasoned, unfortunately the base was very soggy. That was a real shame. Salami was super tasty and the cheese was just right. I give the pizza a good 3 out of 6 points. Let's get to the bruschetta, delicious, just too much arugula. With the carpaccio, far too much rocket and parmesan. That was really too much. Meat very tasty, tender, just not enough. I'm happy to pay more for the product with less arugula and less parmesan. Price !!!! Perfectly fine, 48.00 euros for food and drink. Service!! Well, I would have liked more attention. Are we coming back???? I honestly don't know. Can I recommend it???? I would have to eat there again for that.
