Wir haben sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. Ich hatte Rigatoni mit Rucola, getrockneten Tomaten und Pesto bestellt. Als das Essen endlich kam, waren meine Rigatoni noch viel zu hart, kein al dente und bissfest sondern hart. Ich hatte den Eindruck, man hatte uns vergessen und schnell die Nudeln für 5 Minuten ins Wasser geworfen. Die Portion war groß, aber die Rigatoni schwammen in Öl, ich fand 4 halbe Kirschtomaten. Insgesamt ein enttäuschendes Ergebnis. Die Gnocchi waren Tochter waren in Ordnung.

Da arbeiten nur Männer und man merkt es. Drinnen waren alle Tische unvorbereitet dann sind wir nach draußen gegangen was ein Fehler war denn hier haben die Mitarbeiter auch Pause gemacht und die sind wirklich ein bisschen zu locker. In unserer Nähe rauchen und rumblödeln hat ganz schön genervt und wie soll man sich als Frau fühlen wenn das wirklich nur Männer sind? Es war so windig, dass die Sonnenschirme rum geflogen sind. Ich schwöre dass das jz die Wahrheit ist: Einer ist mit dem Metallstab durch die Lehne von einem Stuhl geflogen. Wenn da jemand gesässen hätte… Wir wollten so schnell wie es geht weg deswegen haben wir uns nur 1 Pizza gekauft und die geteilt damit wir schneller sind. Der eine wollte uns irgendwie überreden was zu trinken zu kaufen. Das war so unangenehm. Wir mussten mehrmals ablehnen. Die Pizza war durchschnittlich. Natürlich gab es kein Trinkgeld 💁‍♀️

Ich war das erste Mal dort Essen ,zuerst war das Personal teils angenehm und etwas weniger angenehm und leider sehr Unaufmerksam.Bei den Biergläser waren zum Teil noch der Mund Abdruck vom Vorgänger dran gewesen fand ich persönlich nicht so toll,dass Essen war hingehen sehr lecker gewesen!

Katastrophales Restaurant mit absolut respektlosem Personal. Selten so etwas Widerliches erlebt. Der Laden war dreckig, unhygienisch und völlig chaotisch. Die Kellner waren extrem unfreundlich, aggressiv und hatten eine primitive, beleidigende Art gegenüber den Gästen. Wir mussten über zwei Stunden auf unser Essen warten – und am Ende kam einfach nichts. Statt sich zu entschuldigen, wurde man noch respektlos behandelt. So ein Verhalten ist eine absolute Frechheit. Besonders Frauen kann ich nur dringend davon abraten, dieses Restaurant zu betreten. Man fühlt sich dort weder willkommen noch sicher oder respektiert. Spart euch Zeit, Geld und Nerven und geht bloß woanders hin. Dieses Restaurant verdient definitiv keine Kunden.

Die Minestrone schmeckte furchtbar. Ich habe mein Geld zurückbekommen, und es wurde akzeptiert. Die anderen Gerichte waren geschmacklich nur durchschnittlich. Allerdings hat ein aufbrausender Kellner (vermutlich Italiener) meine Geste missverstanden und versucht, mit mir in einem scharfen Ton zu diskutieren. Dabei sah er meine Freundin beunruhigend an, und sie war von seinem Verhalten sichtlich verängstigt. Ich war sehr enttäuscht und wollte das Restaurant sofort verlassen. Dieses Lokal bietet weder italienische Küche noch den Service, den Sie erwarten.

Es war extrem laut, man konnte die Person am anderen Ende der Leitung nicht verstehen. Es dauerte eine Stunde, bis die Vorspeisen kamen, und weitere zwei Stunden, bis der Hauptgang serviert wurde. Sie brachten sogar Pizza an den Tisch und kamen nach einer Minute wieder, um sie abzuholen, weil sie für jemand anderen war.

Geschmacklich war das Essen in Ordnung. Leider war der Service jedoch enttäuschend. Trotz dreimaligem Nachfragen wurden die falschen Getränke serviert. Zwischen Vorspeise und Nachspeise lagen rund 30 Minuten. Insgesamt wirkte der Service wenig aufmerksam und eher semi-motiviert. Wenn das Essen geschmacklich nicht zumindest solide gewesen wäre, hätten wir das Restaurant vermutlich schon nach der Vorspeise verlassen. Schade – hier wäre deutlich mehr drin gewesen

My two friends and I went to Portofino for the first time today after a stroll through town. We ordered two appetizers, which arrived later than all the other hot dishes. There was no apology or explanation. We only left the obligatory €1 tip. The staff didn't even say goodbye. Never again!

The food was fine, but waiting over two hours to get a pizza and a cup of coffee is quite a long time. The Dame Blanche for the children didn't have chocolate sauce or whipped cream. Irish coffee was only a sip for €15. It's excruciatingly slow. They also try to rip you off at the checkout. The bill/receipt was €13 less than the card payment. That was a "tip," they said. In my experience, the customer decides the tip, and any extra charges should be included on the receipt.

The food was really delicious, but the waiter left a bad taste in my mouth. Very unfriendly, very loud (he slammed down his cutlery and plates and cleared them away), no thank you, no please... Sorry, but at those prices, you can definitely expect friendliness... We weren't the only ones who noticed his rudeness... Result: no tip... And of course, no goodbye either 😂😂😂 The waitress was great, friendly, and very attentive... He could learn a thing or two from her 🥰

When we paid, the waiter got angry because we didn't leave a tip. We could have indicated this ourselves on the card reader. The people next to us waited at least 45 minutes for their pizzas and thought it was taking a very long time. The food was otherwise just fine.

The food is very good. Prices could be a bit lower. But the restaurant is full, which unfortunately makes it too noisy. (0 stars) This was by far the most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. It started with the fact that upon entering, we were neither greeted nor asked if we had a reservation or how many people were in our party. We only received a disgruntled look from one of the staff members. After 15 minutes, when we finally approached one of the staff members ourselves because no one had bothered to ask what we wanted, we received only an annoyed response that it would probably take half an hour before we got a table, which wasn't a problem for us. Up to that point, however, we still hadn't been asked if we even had a reservation or how many people were in our party. The only thing we received were annoyed looks from the staff. Then, after 20 minutes had passed, two people who arrived after us (without a reservation) were given a table that had previously been a table for six, but which had been split up to create a table for two and a table for four. There were six of us. Because there was NO communication with us, I asked how it was possible that the people who arrived after us were given a table before us, even though we were there earlier and the table was actually for six. The employee immediately became rude in response to this question and accused us of saying we were only four people and that we couldn't just pick and choose... I really wonder what exactly we would gain from lying about the number of people? The best part is that we hadn't even said anything about the number of people because we were never asked. When he then explained that there were four people ahead of us and they would get the table, I understood, of course, but it's hard to know that without speaking to someone. After he had seated them, the employee came up to me and told me that he was responsible for seating arrangements, not me (in an incredibly disrespectful tone), even though all I had done was ask a question, since we had simply been ignored the whole time. Such rudeness! I've never experienced such disrespectful behavior towards customers who spend their money there. I decided not to eat there. I wouldn't spend a single cent in a place like that. Unfortunately, I don't know the employee's name, but he was about 1.55 meters tall. A very bad experience, and strangely enough, judging by the previous reviews, not the first bad experience with the staff. If you don't want to work, you should stay home, and if you can't deal with people, you should perhaps reconsider your career choice.

I've been to this restaurant several times and have always been satisfied. That's why I was so disappointed with my last visit, where my friend and I experienced very disrespectful and inappropriate treatment. We are both Asian, and right at the beginning, a waiter made a remark that we found clearly inappropriate and discriminatory. He was standing at the next table and, while pouring water for another table, spoke to us in a derogatory tone: "Sushi, sushi—you know they only serve pizza here." This comment was completely out of place and very upsetting. The tone remained extremely unfriendly even after that. After we placed our order, the waiter asked sharply: "Can't you read the number or what?" Before he left, he also said: "Can I go now?" And when we said yes, he added: "Next time, you could smile a little." Asking a guest to smile and addressing them in that tone is disrespectful and unprofessional. Friendliness and respect should be a given in both directions. Since I've only had positive experiences before, this incident was particularly disappointing and angry. Another waiter noticed we were upset and approached us. He apologized profusely and even took over our table, where the service was better. Unfortunately, the experience upset me so much that I won't be returning for the time being.

This was our second time there; the first time we planned it with a large group, yesterday it was quite spontaneous with 15 people. Our company of 22 visited and we were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and exceptionally well-organized. Despite the large group, all the dishes arrived at the table simultaneously and perfectly cooked – truly impressive. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. They even had my favorite dessert, cassata. A thoroughly enjoyable evening – highly recommended!

After a sporting outing, the four of us spontaneously decided to go to this restaurant. The welcome was friendly. However, we were immediately stereotyped because of our more athletic attire. We weren't given the complimentary amuse-bouche (bread, Parmesan, oil) that everyone else received; however, the plates were brought to our table. We had all had high expectations for the food. We ordered three pizzas with different toppings, which were okay, but far from Neapolitan pizza, as it had been advertised. The pasta dish was also just okay: baby shrimp and soggy chicken. Since we didn't order dessert, we were ignored. To pay, we moved towards the counter to get their attention. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again; the price-performance ratio is completely off. The service also needs improvement. There's definitely room for improvement, fingers crossed!

We went to the Portofino restaurant in Düsseldorf, and it was a complete disappointment. The beginning was already noticeably difficult: there were about 20 tables outside, of which about five were occupied when we arrived. More and more people arrived after us, but were served well ahead of us. Only after repeated requests did someone come, and they were annoyed. We then ordered Coke Zero. What we got was a regular Coke. Later, it turned out that Coke Zero was out of stock, and Diet Coke was brought instead—without a word beforehand. The same argument ensued at the next table, with the waiter even telling the customer that he should now accept Diet Coke, even though something else had clearly been ordered. That's unprofessional and disrespectful. Unfortunately, the food got even worse. We had various pasta dishes, and each one was terrible: The bread served with the appetizer was ancient. • Curry noodles with chicken and shrimp: The noodles were unbearably hard, the chicken was downright slimy and unpleasant. • Tagliatelle with truffle sauce: The sauce was weak and artificial in flavor, and the pasta was also much too hard. • Pasta rolls with meatballs: The meatballs were rock-hard, barely cuttable. The pasta and sauce had no flavor. Overall, nothing was really edible. The three of us ended up paying €75, and not only was the taste catastrophic, we all had stomach aches afterward. We were actually supposed to go to a concert afterward, but we ended up going there with half-empty stomachs and feeling unwell. Conclusion: Extremely poor service, the wrong drinks, lousy food, and questionable health-wise. A one-time and definitely last visit for us. The food in the pictures also went back, even in this quantity.

The pizza was really good but the staff members were very rude to us. The older waiter didn’t even look at us when he put the food on the table. I didn’t get the chance to ask for something extra on the pizza. we tried to speak german (we are dutch) but the other waiter only made fun of us and at the end they didn’t bother to say something and threw the receipt on the table. we didn’t tip them ofcourse, that annoyed them more I think. I tried to say something but the younger waiter suddenly couldn’t speak english anymore. so no, would definitely not recommend… they ruined our dinner together.

We ordered our food around 1:20 p.m. – a vegetarian plate, a pizza, and two drinks. While we waited, we observed other guests already receiving their food, eating it, and some even finishing it, while we still left empty-handed. Even guests who arrived significantly later than us were served promptly. It wasn't until around 2:20 p.m. – after an hour of waiting – that we received the vegetarian plate, and the pizza didn't arrive for another five minutes. This experience seemed like a clear discrimination to us. We had the impression that we were being deliberately ignored or put on the back burner. The food was also cold, so the preparation time was unnecessary, and the staff were unfriendly. I rate this service as very poor. Anyone who values respectful and fair treatment should think twice about eating here.

Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied. The bread and wine were great, but after that, things went downhill. Unfortunately, the bread didn't come with any herb butter or anything similar. The aioli we ordered was practically mayo. The lasagna was extremely greasy and overcooked. The carbonara didn't deserve its name, thanks to the cream and cooked ham. There were also mistakes on the bill... we won't be coming back.

The pizza was really good. The tiramisu, however, was a disgrace! It was a cream-covered crust topped with cocoa powder. No mascarpone, no coffee flavor, and no alcohol. Very disappointing for an Italian restaurant and the price of €7.50!

Despite explicitly mentioning that I have a pepper allergy, my dish was served with pepper. Even after I complained, the same dish was simply brought back without any change. Customer service doesn't seem to be a priority here, unfortunately. The only positive aspect is the spacious atmosphere in typical Italian style – and the bruschetta, which was really good. It reminded me of one of the old restaurants in Florence.

Authentic Italian Experience in Düsseldorf! Absolutely loved the food at this Italian restaurant! Every dish was bursting with flavor and felt thoughtfully prepared. We started with a fresh salad and grilled shrimp that were cooked perfectly with a light herby sauce — simple yet elegant. The bruschetta was another highlight: crunchy bread topped with juicy tomatoes, onions, and arugula, full of freshness. The lasagna was rich and comforting, with a golden, cheesy top and flavorful meat sauce. For the main course, I had the steak with herb butter and crispy fries — perfectly cooked and deliciously juicy. Overall, a fantastic meal. Great ingredients, great portions, and cozy ambiance. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience at this restaurant. Overall, the food seemed more forced than skillful—very bland in taste and not particularly fresh. The service also left a lot to be desired. This is especially unfortunate because I had expected more from this restaurant beforehand. Ich war vor fast 40 Jahren zum ersten mal hier.Im Gegensatz zu früher ist dieses Restaurant nur noch als mittelmäßig zu bezeichnen. Die Preise sind stark gestiegen,die Qualität eher rückläufig. Das Saltimbocca reichlich,aber verbesserungswürdig. Die Zabaione sehr wenig,aber extrem teuer. Da gibt es inzwischen bessere Optionen in Düsseldorf.

New Year's Eve failure! Unfortunately, there were far too few professional staff on site on New Year's Eve. A few people assisted who were clearly not experienced waiters. Except for the very hard-working head waiter, the staff was extremely slow and overwhelmed with the full shop. Our first meal came to the table after an hour and a half, cold or inedible, and the drinks only after about an hour. I've heard good things about the restaurant for many years, but unfortunately none of it has been confirmed. On the contrary, unfortunately it had nothing to do with a lovely New Year's Eve and we left very dissatisfied.

NO RECOMMENDATION! We were looking forward to a good meal. The table was reserved and we were able to sit down straight away, that was ok. Afterwards we had to wait until the card was brought to us, which was also ok on a New Year's Eve. The order was also taken and then began the “drama”. After 30 minutes we asked for some bread with a little butter, as is usual with Italians. After a blank look, we were given some dry bread carelessly placed on the table. So far, so bad! 45 minutes after ordering, we asked if our food would take longer. The very taciturn and unfriendly employee put us off by saying: it wouldn't be long. 20 minutes later we asked again, again with the answer: it won't be long now. In the meantime, I watched as wine/Prosecco was poured back into a bottle using a funnel from an already half-empty glass -- disgusting. After asking again, the food we ordered came, unfortunately not at the same time, so two of us were able to eat and the others were still waiting. When the ordered vegetable risotto in curry sauce with chicken finally arrived, it was more than a disappointment. The risotto was cold, the chicken tasteless, the curry sauce tasted like vegetable broth and the vegetables were obviously anything but fresh, they came from the freezer. So we actually have 90 minutes!! Having to wait for our order is unbelievable, especially since the prices for this “quality” are set very high. Obviously the restaurant wanted to generate as much sales as possible that evening, which is understandable in principle, but the implementation and hospitality were out of the question.

Trotz nicht beantworteten Reservierung hingegangen. Silvesterabend...Natürlich völlig überfüllt. Es war aber nach kurzer Wartezeit trotzdem möglich einen Tisch für 2 Personen zu bekommen. Das Personal war völlig überfordert bei der Menge an Gästen, sodass eine Freundin des Hauses mitgeholfen hat. Diese saß eigentlich privat am Nachbartisch, konnte aber nicht mit ansehen wie alle Gäste drumherum mit leeren Gläsern am Tisch saßen. Vielen Dank an Sie. Bis die Essensbestellung aufgenommen wurde, dauerte auch sehr lange. Da eine nur für Getränke und eine andere dann fürs Essen zuständig war. Das Essen selber war dann aber sehr gut. Ich denke an anderen Tagen wird es dort sehr schön sein aber Silvester oder andere Feiertage völlige Überforderung.

Very bad experience. We ordered a starter for 2 people, but it might have been enough for 1, but that wasn't the worst... everything was refrigerator cold... the chicken, the grilled vegetables and even the 2 stuffed mushrooms. everything was tasteless. When we asked if that was the case, they said yes and the main course came immediately and the starter, which was still more than half full, was taken away! As a main course we had; the carbonara, but that was also very disappointing and especially for an Italian restaurant, it should not be swimming in cream sauce!! Result...toilet arrest for the rest of the evening! In the end we didn't have to pay for the starter. We were surprised that it had such good reviews.

We had made a reservation in the restaurant. When we arrived, the waiter noted this briefly and then went back to serving tables without saying a word to us. When we asked again about our reserved table, he simply walked past us and ignored us. If you have to wait when making a reservation, that's okay, but a brief information from the waiter would be great. Unfortunately, communication only took place so that we would get in the way. Typically Italian, sometimes chaotic, but mostly delicious. If you're looking for a structured, relaxed meal, this isn't the place for you. Those who enjoy typical Italian food and want to enjoy a good wine in a relaxed atmosphere will feel right at home. Just be prepared to take your time. You can sit inside or outside. I usually enjoy it a lot, even if I sometimes have to be a bit more patient. Takeout is also available.
