Inconspicuous from the outside, but inside it's exactly the Italian you want. The service and especially the food were perfect.

We were in the restaurant, we waited for 35 minutes, they never served us, so we left when we saw that they were serving other people who came after us.....

A family business with over 50 years of tradition. We received a very warm welcome and the service was characterized by attentiveness and friendliness. And the most important thing: The food (tomato soup, pizza calzone and tiramisu) was very tasty. It wasn't the last time we were there.

New Year's Eve failure! Unfortunately, there were far too few professional staff on site on New Year's Eve. A few people assisted who were clearly not experienced waiters. Except for the very hard-working head waiter, the staff was extremely slow and overwhelmed with the full shop. Our first meal came to the table after an hour and a half, cold or inedible, and the drinks only after about an hour. I've heard good things about the restaurant for many years, but unfortunately none of it has been confirmed. On the contrary, unfortunately it had nothing to do with a lovely New Year's Eve and we left very dissatisfied.

NO RECOMMENDATION! We were looking forward to a good meal. The table was reserved and we were able to sit down straight away, that was ok. Afterwards we had to wait until the card was brought to us, which was also ok on a New Year's Eve. The order was also taken and then began the “drama”. After 30 minutes we asked for some bread with a little butter, as is usual with Italians. After a blank look, we were given some dry bread carelessly placed on the table. So far, so bad! 45 minutes after ordering, we asked if our food would take longer. The very taciturn and unfriendly employee put us off by saying: it wouldn't be long. 20 minutes later we asked again, again with the answer: it won't be long now. In the meantime, I watched as wine/Prosecco was poured back into a bottle using a funnel from an already half-empty glass -- disgusting. After asking again, the food we ordered came, unfortunately not at the same time, so two of us were able to eat and the others were still waiting. When the ordered vegetable risotto in curry sauce with chicken finally arrived, it was more than a disappointment. The risotto was cold, the chicken tasteless, the curry sauce tasted like vegetable broth and the vegetables were obviously anything but fresh, they came from the freezer. So we actually have 90 minutes!! Having to wait for our order is unbelievable, especially since the prices for this “quality” are set very high. Obviously the restaurant wanted to generate as much sales as possible that evening, which is understandable in principle, but the implementation and hospitality were out of the question.

Trotz nicht beantworteten Reservierung hingegangen. Silvesterabend...Natürlich völlig überfüllt. Es war aber nach kurzer Wartezeit trotzdem möglich einen Tisch für 2 Personen zu bekommen. Das Personal war völlig überfordert bei der Menge an Gästen, sodass eine Freundin des Hauses mitgeholfen hat. Diese saß eigentlich privat am Nachbartisch, konnte aber nicht mit ansehen wie alle Gäste drumherum mit leeren Gläsern am Tisch saßen. Vielen Dank an Sie. Bis die Essensbestellung aufgenommen wurde, dauerte auch sehr lange. Da eine nur für Getränke und eine andere dann fürs Essen zuständig war. Das Essen selber war dann aber sehr gut. Ich denke an anderen Tagen wird es dort sehr schön sein aber Silvester oder andere Feiertage völlige Überforderung.

Very bad experience. We ordered a starter for 2 people, but it might have been enough for 1, but that wasn't the worst... everything was refrigerator cold... the chicken, the grilled vegetables and even the 2 stuffed mushrooms. everything was tasteless. When we asked if that was the case, they said yes and the main course came immediately and the starter, which was still more than half full, was taken away! As a main course we had; the carbonara, but that was also very disappointing and especially for an Italian restaurant, it should not be swimming in cream sauce!! Result...toilet arrest for the rest of the evening! In the end we didn't have to pay for the starter. We were surprised that it had such good reviews.

Decoration was beautiful. Fries were too dry, added 1 lettuce leaf. I understand that it is an Italian restaurant, but this is not much. It took a long time before we could pay. There were probably too few staff on December 23

Waited 1 hour 10 minutes for food... (although not full) All 4 dishes were almost tasteless and not tasty! Portion much too small. Price way too high. Absolutely not recommended. I would also give 0 stars if it were possible. In addition, a bum harassed us. Next time McDonald's again. The bottom line is that this was nonsense!!!!!!!! Bad greetings

Although the reservation seems to be available online, you can wait at the door. The food is successful.

Online reservation did not arrive despite confirmation. The service was overwhelmed and only came when requested. The drinks came after the meal and only upon request. Food was swimming in oil, but it was ok.

We had made a reservation in the restaurant. When we arrived, the waiter noted this briefly and then went back to serving tables without saying a word to us. When we asked again about our reserved table, he simply walked past us and ignored us. If you have to wait when making a reservation, that's okay, but a brief information from the waiter would be great. Unfortunately, communication only took place so that we would get in the way. Then we'll go somewhere else.

We reserved about two months in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant, we waited in the entrance area and were told they would take a quick look. We didn't receive any attention for over 15 minutes; when we asked what was going on with our reservation, we continued to be ignored. Because other guests with reservations had piled up, the waiter bluntly pointed out to us that we were in the way. You quickly lose the desire to go to a restaurant. A little communication would have been appropriate. It's not a problem if you have to wait a bit, but that's not how it works.

Spaghetti di Mare was very tasty. The price is not exactly cheap, but it is tasty and there is bread included. Overall, a good restaurant if you want to eat Italian

Without a reservation and on a Saturday evening, we still managed to get a table quickly. The restaurant was full, but the service was still great. In addition to the great service, the food was also an absolute pleasure! This was our first time here and it definitely won't be the last! Price-performance ratio is also within the normal range.

We were there for the first time last Saturday, the so-called main course - 6 whole ones! cold tortellini -18€! On a cold plate, floating in a puddle of butter (served by the chef himself!), the homemade green pasta with Gorgonzola is unfortunately not recommended either. Sure it was Saturday and well attended but that is simply not acceptable.

Great shop. A piece of Italy in Düsseldorf. The boss is a badass; the waiter very nice. Tasty, not too expensive, grappa “to take home” at the end. Who goes to the "L'Ostaria" next door to get convenience food?

Overall, quite tasty pizzas and a nice ambience with an outdoor area. The food comes quickly. Pizzas are relatively small and could have more generous toppings. The topping of the tuna pizza is reminiscent of frozen pizzas. You don't get any pizza rolls with it, which I find disappointing for a “restaurant”. A bottle of Peroni costs €4.50…

The meal was excellent! And a very nice waiter too! Not a run-of-the-mill restaurant where you feel like you should just eat quickly and leave. Absolutely recommended! By the way, I had the spaghettini with salmon.😉

Decided to try another Italian restaurant in Düsseldorf and we chose Portofino. Food was great, really similar to other authentic Italian restaurants that we've been to, the vibe in the restaurant was also nice, Italian music, most employees also spoke Italian between themselves. We had a pizza and a pasta and both were very good, delicious, not overdone (I would know, since I love Italian food and I ate several times in places like Naples or in other food-famous Italian cities). Give it a shot if you are in D'dorf, you'll not be disappointed!

Tuvimos 2 comidas encantadoras en este restaurante, el viernes estaba muy ocupado, probablemente sea mejor reservar una mesa, tuvimos suerte y conseguimos una mesa para 2 , el servicio era muy bueno, el lunes era un más tranquilo. Ambas comidas fueron muy agradables, no solo pizza, pasta sino platos de carne también, no fue apresurado, un montón de tiempo para disfrutar de la comida encantadora, tan contentos de que lograron encontrarnos una mesa el viernes.

So delicious! The wonderful store clerk (Italian?) who speaks a lot of Japanese will give you courteous service. I think this is a really recommended restaurant for those who are tired of German food.

Originally we wanted to go to L'Osteria. It was crowded, stressful and people didn't pay attention to you. Then we discovered the Portofino and found a nice shady spot outside. The waiters were very friendly and humorous. Our food was served quickly and everyone enjoyed it!! Really recommended

We were there spontaneously on a Saturday afternoon/evening and managed to get a table despite the good weather and kick-off time. The menu offers classic Italian food (pizza, pasta/gnocchi etc.) and the food didn't take long to arrive. You can also tell that the service staff strive to offer guests a pleasant experience. The restaurant has more soft drinks than what is printed on the menu, so just ask the waiter. All in all, the food tasted good and the prices were also good for city center standards. I can only recommend it.

Our short trip to Düsseldorf took us past this restaurant that we couldn't walk past. It was very inviting, in addition to the dishes on the menu, we chose dishes from the daily menu. The risotto was great and the pasta dish was also to die for. Nice service, what more could you want. We will definitely be there again on our next visit to Düsseldorf.
