Ristorante Barolo in Düsseldorf

We tried the chocolate and strawberry cake and the cappuccino. They were all delicious. Our waiter, Gökhan, was very attentive. All the staff were very friendly and polite. We loved it and highly recommend it.

A lovely restaurant with excellent service and super fresh, high-quality food. For a family reunion, we had a portion of ravioli with porcini mushrooms, spaghetti Bolognese, penne arrabiata, and I had a pizza Margherita. For starters, we shared an antipasti plate with super fresh seafood and grilled vegetables. The bread also tasted homemade, and it came with a garlic dip. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the cake and pastry display until we were leaving, so we'll be back for coffee and cake. 😉 Everything was super fresh and freshly prepared, as well as of high quality. The pizza was excellent, and the pasta dishes were also incredibly good. (After all, as a family, you can always sneak something to try from someone else's plate 😉) Of course, the service matched the ambiance and was authentically friendly. Thanks for the lovely afternoon, and see you soon. 😉 P.S....the prices were reasonable, and €12.90 for the pizza was totally acceptable. The pasta dishes are also around €15, which is rather moderate considering the location and the setting on the Kö. 🔝👍

Wonderful Service, great ambiente within the KÖ-Mall and the food is really good and fresh. The photo I have taken shows the rest of the kid dish. My son (3 years old) nearly ate the plate and now loves Parmesan more than Italians love it! It‘s the first time ever he ate a kids dish and I‘m proud and happy. I came here for dinner and had an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. My waiter took great care of me and the other guests, always making sure every table received the best possible service. Yesterday, we were out in town with the whole family and spontaneously stopped by Barollo. Despite the large number of customers, we received a very friendly welcome from the head waiter and were quickly shown to a table. The service was attentive and warm without being intrusive. The food was simply outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everyone of us was delighted, from the appetizer plate to the dessert. It certainly won't be our last visit to Barollo. Highly recommended!

Fabian's service on the evening of August 2, 2025, was top-notch. He has excellent people skills and is able to engage with each guest appropriately. An absolute asset to this cozy restaurant and the best service there in years. The food was, as always, superb, and the location is perfect.

A lovely restaurant with great Italian food and a wide variety of authentic, handmade Italian pasticcini (dessert cakes) for sale – a great souvenir :) – a lovely atmosphere and seating both outside on the Kö and inside the shopping center – and, last but not least, the staff are really helpful and super friendly. The chopped olives served with the bread are a bit salty, but they taste good when eaten with bread. The price is reasonable, but it is a bit crowded because it is located in a shopping mall. The price and taste of the pasta are satisfying. Better than I thought? It was okay.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I went to this bar with a companion – and what was planned as a relaxing evening ended in an embarrassing and inappropriate fiasco. While I had only ordered a small snack, my companion ordered considerably more. In the end, it turned out she didn't have any money with her. I exercised my right and simply wanted to pay my share – but the staff responded with a frightening mixture of stubbornness, unprofessionalism, and an almost aggressive tone. Instead of handling the situation confidently or in a customer-oriented manner, they staged a veritable uprising. The place seemed more interested in confrontation than in finding a solution. There was no trace of hospitality or flexibility – you didn't feel like a guest, but rather like a nuisance. I can only advise everyone: If you value good staff, respectful treatment, and a minimum level of customer focus, you should avoid this place. Conclusion: Never again – a place that humiliates its guests instead of serving them.

Unfortunately, fillet tips were dry, but otherwise delicious. There is hardly any pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza. And unfortunately the service was non-existent today even though there was nothing going on!

Every now and then, when we visit the Kö Galerie, we stop here for a quick lunch. The service is friendly and very prompt and the dishes ordered are well made and tasty

Unfortunately we had to wait half an hour for our drinks. The coffee also arrived spilled and the cup was only roughly cleaned (there were still stains everywhere). The cola arrived without ice and a slice of lemon. Unfortunately, everything that shouldn't have gone wrong went wrong.

Acceptable price-quality ratio for its location. I ordered a pasta with shrimp it was good but it was too oily I still feel the oil in my throat, it was very uncomfortable to eat it and the waiters were too busy to fix it 🥲. I called 2 or 3 to discuss the incident but they never came to the table to resolve it. On the other hand, the salmon was very well prepared. The terrace is cozy and beautiful, not bad if you are passing through and are not very demanding since the attention of the waiters could be improved.

I went to Barolo for the first time yesterday and was disappointed. First of all, the positive aspects: The location directly on Königsallee is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately, the service staff were neither hard-working nor particularly quick. After we waited almost 20 minutes to place our order, despite the limited space, it took another 15 minutes for our order to arrive incomplete. When asked about this, we were assured that the missing drinks/food would be brought immediately. This took another 10 minutes. Then it turned out that the spaghetti ice cream was "out" today and to make matters worse, a drink was knocked over. I blame the fact that the prices are very high on the top location. All in all, unfortunately not a satisfactory visit.

Very, very nice service! Even though it was busy, it went very quickly, delicious pizza and good drinks, with a good mix.

We ordered apple strudel. We weren't told that the bit of cream on the plate cost €2 extra, so we were charged €4 too much. I received a small orange juice for the price of the large orange juice and was charged €1 without being able to explain why. When I asked the waiter about it, he got a little nervous. In total, I was unjustifiably overcharged by €9. I think it's an impudence to cheat guests in this way. Especially with the 1€ on the receipt I thought it was a mistake on the part of the cashier. But there are other comments who have experienced the same thing. That's why the management is aware of this

The Ristorante Barolo - Is a nice restaurant located in the middle of Düsseldorf on the Kö. This is easy to reach on foot, but also by car because there are two parking garages in the building. Access is barrier-free. The staff is absolutely nice and friendly and always open to having fun. The dishes are nicely prepared and very tasty and taste very good.

The waiters are in no hurry to bring the menu (perhaps due to the heavy workload). This disadvantage was offset by the very quick portioning of ready-made dishes. This must also have been reflected in our steak, because instead of medium we were served a tough rare. The salad, which was supposed to contain turkey strips, contained pieces of chicken fillet, which could have been warned about when ordering. Then they brought us the wrong coffee, but that's beside the point. The overall impression was marred by a “hygienic” moment - a woman sits at the entrance to the toilet and has to put 50 cents on a plate to enter. It turns out that an order worth 150 euros and a tip are not enough to get a free visit to the restaurant toilet. Speaking of food: the fried potatoes with truffle sauce are simply divine.

It is shameful that a place with such good and elegant food does not invest in its waitstaff. I encountered a gentleman who not only tried to push various items on me, forcing me to make more expensive choices, but also charged me for a salad I didn’t order. I had ordered the salad that came with the dish I chose, without dressing, but he understood this as bringing me an additional salad. Even though I told him, at the time he brought it, that I didn’t want it, he still charged me for it. He was also aggressive when, at the end, I pointed out that I hadn’t ordered it. Not to mention, he didn’t even bring me the bill or show me the amount I had to pay. He simply told me the total without bringing the bill, he showed me the card reader without making sure I was seeing the amount

Essen war sehr lecker….. und wir sind wirklich verwöhnt. Maronensuppe, Pizza und Tagliatelle mit Ragout. Ebenso der Salat mit köstlichem Brot und einem leckeren Dip. Ausgezeichneter Service und sehr sehr freundlich. Immer wieder gerne.

We had a great meal, but because of this I will never go back to this place. I really feel ripped off while I always tip, but this is not transparent.

I recently went to Barolo and absolutely loved it. The steak was perfectly cooked - nice and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside and cooked to perfection. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion of the kitchen. The ambience was also very inviting, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service that left nothing to be desired. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

The side dishes were equally delicious, especially [e.g. B. the potato gratin, grilled vegetables, etc.], and the homemade sauces rounded off the dish perfectly. The ambience was pleasant and appropriate for an upscale steakhouse, and the service was both friendly and competent - the advice on the types of meat and wines was particularly great.

Selten ein Restaurant mit so vielen Kellnern gesehen. Leider waren diese mehr mit sich selber beschäftigt, als die Gäste zu bedienen. Getränke standen gefühlt ewig auf der Theke bevor sie serviert wurden. Dafür wurden uns nach Bestellung noch einmal die Speisekarten gebracht. Auf die Rechnung mussten wir auch lange warten und bekamen sie erst nach wiederholtem Bitten. Das Essen wurde recht zügig serviert. Qualität war eher schlecht, der Preis aber recht hoch.

Scammers!! I came here for dinner with 2 friends. The pizzas were fine. I just think it's a shame that they scam you when paying. Received a higher bill than expected, then I asked for the receipt. After 2 minutes we received the receipt from the cash register. Total amount of all the food was €73.90, which they turned into €82.30. They stated that for a pin transaction they gave €8.40 change, while I never received this. Scandalous and theft, I will never come here again!

The service is terrible! They tried to deceive us more about the euro. The clerk didn't call about the fraud until the last and refused to bring the check because it wasn't there and he didn't have a chance to bring it (later he still brought us the bill).

We went there spontaneously to eat and were able to get a seat outside straight away. When I ordered an espresso martini, I was told rather bluntly that it came from downstairs and would therefore take at least 30 minutes - whatever that means downstairs. Well, then we ordered something else including food and got both drinks and food very quickly. The pasta with truffles and beef fillet was really a dream, but then the worst thing happened: we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes to pay - while other guests were able to pay before us, even though they asked to pay after us. It's a shame, unfortunately it really spoiled our visit.

Cappuccino for 4.50 euros is already cheeky, but this is topped by 4.00 euros for an espresso. Also for to go.

Really not worth the money. - all drinks are incredibly overpriced (an iced coffee here costs €10.80) - Instead of iced tea, there is ONLY sugar water from the plastic bottle from Arizona Ice Tea, NOT marked on the menu, for a whopping €5.50! You can get it at dm for €1.69. When asked, waiters react incompetently and repeat "we always do it like that" three times, showing the wrong ones to other waiters, who in turn roll their eyes. The supervisor reacts loudly and angrily and tries to excuse himself - "there's sugar in everything" (a VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION for a diabetic patient!!!), "here it says bottle" (my dear friend, you also name the other branded drinks and In addition, the ml information on the card and the bottle do NOT match) Then we had to take another drink: mineral water. To start, the spaghetti was undercooked and hard, while the bruschetta oddly resembled a pizza, completely missing the traditional appeal and taste. To make matters worse, while dining on the terrace, there were numerous bees swarming around, which led to one landing in my untouched soft drink despite my best efforts to cover it with a napkin. When I politely asked the staff if they could remove the drink from the bill, I was met with a rude and condescending response from the server, who blamed the situation on nature. The staff member, who was quite dismissive and did not let me explain the situation fully, insisted on charging me for the drink that I couldn’t even enjoy due to the circumstances. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand that sometimes things go wrong, but this level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. At my restaurant, we always ensure our guests are satisfied, especially when the problem is beyond their control. This experience was not worth the price, as both the food quality and the service were severely lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially given the arrogant behavior of the staff. It’s essential that management takes this review seriously and re-evaluates their approach to customer service.

I've been there many times. It's always delicious and the service is great. Today, however, I felt ripped off. We sat outside the cellar very nicely. My two pasta dishes were no longer on the menu so I asked for them and the waiter immediately said no problem, how do you want them? So I ordered pasta with chicken broccoli in cream sauce and it was delicious as always. My companion had pasta with crab meat 26€. I simply paid €35 ​​for this dish, there's no gold on it. I used to pay around €20 for this dish. I feel really ripped off😕
