It felt really good! The service and food were perfect!

Excellent experience at Riva Düsseldorf We had the great pleasure of visiting Riva with a group of 10 people - and we absolutely loved it! Instead of eating à la carte, we received a multi-course menu that was fine dining in every respect. Each course was carefully composed, perfectly flavored and visually appealing. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent wine accompaniment, which rounded off the menu wonderfully. What impressed us most, however, was the exceptional feel-good atmosphere. The stylish, yet cozy atmosphere and the attentive, yet unobtrusive service made us immediately feel welcome. We were able to enjoy the evening to the fullest and always had the feeling that we were well looked after. The Riva is without question an excellent address for culinary experiences at the highest level, coupled with an ambience in which you simply feel good. We will definitely be back – a real highlight in Düsseldorf!

This is highly recommended for our 50th birthday celebration. We really loved the food, the staff was super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is truly fantastic. If you are in Düsseldorf, go there and you will not regret it.

So, here we are in Dusseldorf! Riva has an amazing wine list, we settled on the Antinori Basis Pasignano. That did not disappoint. Overall, the food was excellent and the vibe/location amazing! Owner Michele was a superb host, an evening not to be forgotten!

I would tell everyone to go experience a beautiful evening with delicious food and wine!

A place to be during trade fairs.

Wenn ich könnte, würde ich diesem Laden weniger als einen Stern geben! Wir waren zu zweit zum 3. (und definitiv letzten!) Mal im Riva, auf Empfehlung – fragt mich nicht, von wem. Nach unserem letzten, schon nicht berauschenden Besuch dachten wir, wir geben nach COVID nochmal eine Chance. Großer Fehler! Zehn Minuten unsichtbar für die teilweise 5 beschäftigungslosen Kellner, bis endlich eine meinte gleich zu kommen! 15 Minuten später durften wir dann endlich rein, aber natürlich auf die „Kiesbettseite“ mit billigen Schirmen – danke, meine Absatzschuhe lieben es! 400 Euro Schaden! Zwei Klassen Restaurant! Kiesbettseite für nicht reserviert und schöner Holzboden mit teuren Schirmen für die gehobene Klasse!Trockenes,kaltes Brot mit Ölspendee auf dem Tisch.Aioli konnte die erste Kellnerin sich nur für Meter merken!Als Krönung war das Steak statt Medium-Rare fast durch, welches 30 Minuten gebraucht hat, mit der absurdesten Ausrede des Chefs, das Steak müsse ruhen & wenn es 2 mm roh ist von innen,ist es richtig. Was es allerdings nicht war! Hätte ein neues haben können, wollte aber nicht weitere 20-40 warten! Kellnerin: 10/10, rettet aber nicht den Laden! Flop 👎 Völlig überteuert

To eat: My girlfriend had the truffle pasta. No homemade pasta. It was quite okay. I wouldn't order my salad (César salad) like that again. Unfortunately I didn't like him at all. About the service: The waiters are very hectic. The restaurant is very busy in the evenings. That's why everything takes much longer About the ambience: The ambience is nice.

One of the best establishments in Dusseldorf. Good cuisine, good service, and the music is generally super! A little expensive, but cool. I recommend!

The ambience is very appealing. The selection of food is very good and the dishes taste really good, but for the restaurant I would have hoped for a little more in one dish or another: For example, tuna tartare and carpaccio were ok and didn't leave a “WOW effect”, but lettuce did! The service was sometimes unfriendly, the wine was not refilled, the order was taken upon request. The tables are so close together that every time I got up I had to disturb the other guests eating and ask if they could slide their chair forward a bit. However, overall it was a good evening with my friends. I will most likely not come back.

Stepped out of the rain had tables right next to me nobody waiting and there is an arrogant semi gray haired man that seems he’s the wrong guy to give any sense of power to because he turned away good money for ego on the patio. They were full was his reason but it clearly wasn’t true, and he seemed pretty adamant against Americans. As displayed when I pointed out, there was plenty of room. Trying to move past his arrogance, and he physically blocked me from looking for a barstool. I would recommend avoiding this place until that man’s no longer there. the restaurant owner I recommend not one man’s ego in front of your income.

Top food. Veal cheeks very tender. Side dishes very tasty. Ambience very tasteful. Prices are ambitious even for Düsseldorf and the port.

A little expensive, but food is great. The lamb was fantastic.

Received the food quickly, friendly staff. Spaghetti with truffle was divided between two people without any problems. Cordon Bleu great. Beef fillet was supposed to be medium but was medium well. But we ate it anyway and it was juicy too. Will definitely come back and is recommended. It should be known in the Medienhafen that prices are rather high. Nobody has to go there if they can't afford it. we will be back.

The food is not so good, prices way too expensive, the waiters are not kind, they charged us money on a rissoto that was different from what we ordered. Not recommended!!

If u want to eat fast there and alone its not a place for u , I was waiting for my check 1 hour , after I went to waiter ask myself ab check he still didn’t bring me I was waiting 30 minutes.

Verstehe den Hype absolut nicht. Ambiente nicht special, Gäste abends wie eine Fahrt mit der Geisterbahn und für den Preis in Düsseldorf schon wesentlich besser gegessen. Dachte, ich gebe dem Riva noch mal eine Chance...aber nein. Kellner konnte nicht mal die Rechnung trennen...so Läden befeuern einfach das Image meiner Heimatstadt Düsseldorf snobby zu sein, lol.

We were guests at Riva on Friday evening. Everything was sensationally good! The food was perfect, the service was great and the atmosphere was extremely good! Great restaurant - it's a shame that there's nothing comparable in Cologne!

Employees not sufficiently trained. The constant slamming of the refrigerator, the clinking of dishes and cutlery behind the counter, the constant adjustment of the lighting or hitting the table with the broken salt shaker (at other guests' tables), etc., are all points that make the stay rather unpleasant overall have made. Praise to the kitchen, the food was decent, our waiter also tried hard. Unfortunately the overall impression is negative and not appropriate for the price level.

I'm currently trying to have my review deleted. We were there in the early evening and, among other things, ordered the same steak three times and were then cheekily placed a large bowl of fries in the middle. My girlfriend had pasta with prawns - by far the worst thing I've ever tasted. In addition, around 20 pieces of spaghetti were completely packed together. We were shown very clearly that we were not wanted.

Modern and open-minded restaurant

The food was very tasty! The service had forgotten to clear away the starters and was rather unfriendly. Only 2 out of 4 of the women's toilets were open that day, which meant that there was a short waiting time.

When you visit a restaurant/bar in Düsseldorf you should think that you will be treated with at least respect. Not only was the service totally unfriendly and condescending in tone, but also the fact that as a guest you are put under pressure to drink up quickly because there are other guests waiting for a table (we sat for 5 minutes) with an existing reservation. Then you want to pay and tell 4 waiters, you won't receive the bill until after 45 minutes. If you only want to welcome guests with a certain appearance, then put a sign on the door and stop treating people so disrespectfully just because they are not over 40 and full of Botox. The one star is for the toilet - it was super clean.

My husband invited me to the Riva on our wedding day, which unfortunately was a total failure. The ambience was nice, but the food wasn't anything special for the price. We were also greeted with a watch in our arms and put under total pressure to order quickly and eat quickly in order to leave the restaurant as quickly as possible. A drinks menu was only available upon request and very reluctantly.

The seats were remote and narrow, which created a slight cafeteria feel. The olive oil was empty and it took 45 - 60 minutes until the dish was ready. The dish was ok, but for the price you can get better quality in good restaurants. The service is nice, but overall the location is focused on quantity, and that's noticeable. Nice, trendy location, with good music - food and service just ok.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the food and service today. We had ordered pizza which, after being passed around the restaurant for 20 minutes, finally found its way to our table. My truffle pizza had an inedible hard, burnt edge and was otherwise soggy dough with fat floating on top. I let her go back. I declined the offer to get a new one. After asking for the bill four times, we got it. What was cheeky was that the inedible pizza was also on it. However, it was not calculated at my request. All in all, a disappointing visit to the restaurant, especially since I remember Riva better from the past. Maybe it was also due to the visibly overwhelmed service staff.

A bit pricy, but worth every cent! Even though it's full, the service is on point, the food comes quite quickly and tastes good. The cocktails and long drinks were also well mixed and served quickly. We sat outside because it seemed a bit cramped and loud inside.

My visit to Riva was okay, but not impressive. The staff weren't particularly friendly and, irritatingly, we got the bill before our coffee. I expected more for a restaurant in this price range.

One of the coolest locations in Dusseldorf. We were there for a dinner. The restaurant has a modern interior. Dark touch with lighting at the bar. It has a club lounge feel. We had an antipasti with many different dishes as an appetizer. Then for the main course the wiener schnitzel. Everything was very tasty and we had a great service. However, one star deduction because the waiting time for the appetizer and main course was too long. And our seat was too close to other tables and the wall.

Stylish and spacious place. The staff is quite fast. The food is delicious. Especially the breads are amazing! Prices are also reasonable compared to Düsseldorf average.

Always first-class food including a great ambience, both on the terrace (even in winter - with additional heaters) and inside. Only recommended

Best shop, great cuisine and great service

The Riva restaurant completely convinced me! The ambience is charming and inviting, perfect for a cozy evening. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, and the service was excellent. But the highlight was undoubtedly the food. Every dish was a true taste experience, freshly prepared and of the highest quality. The diverse menu offers something for every taste and the dishes presented were not only a feast for the eyes, but also a feast for the palate. I can fully recommend Restaurant Riva and look forward to dining there again soon!

I deeply regret that your experience was disappointing. When we visited on February 9th we were a group of 4 adults and one child. Today, February 16th, we made a reservation for two people at 10:00 p.m. Unfortunately we encountered difficulties when the staff member at the door refused to show us our table. His behavior was disrespectful and we didn't feel adequately accepted. This experience spoiled the evening pointlessly.

A modern and chic Italian restaurant at the Media Harbor. Very good food and the service was fine, except for the action by the waiter of giving our balsamic and salt/pepper to the next table without asking us. I don't think that's right, but I overlooked it this time. We generally had a depressing feeling in the restaurant because it was too crowded and the tables were very close to each other. But the rest was ok 👍🏼

Unfortunately we had a bad experience. My Pasta Vongole for €28 had to be returned once because it simply tasted oily and dry.

Hier stimmt alles. Super am Medienhafen gelegen wird man von der ganzen Mannschaft herzlich empfangen, das Restaurant ist super schön, das Essen lässt keine Wünsche offen und für gute Unterhaltung wird auch gesorgt. Wir kommen 💯 wieder!

Food was lovely. The main courses were spot on, really enjoyed them. Wine list is also beautiful, plenty of choice for your pallet. Really did not appreciate that it was allowed for people to smoke INSIDE of the restaurant throughout the whole dinner (they were “secretly” smoking HEATS).

Today we ate at Riva again after a while, it's a great restaurant in itself, the food is excellent. Only the service can really be improved, the waiters all seem poorly trained. For example, my plate was pulled out from under my nose while I was eating, the restaurant was empty and the waiter was probably bored. For an excellent experience, the service must also be good.

Eigentlich ganze nettes Restaurant, jedoch wurden wir vom Eingang an direkt ausgemustert, weil wir vielleicht nicht dem eigentlichen clientele entsprechen. Essen war in Ordnung, jedoch hätte man das gleiche Essen mit der gleichen Qualität wo anders, für weniger Geld bekommen. Der Service war auch ganz ok, wir hatten das Gefühl, dass die Kellnerin uns so schnell wie möglich abwickeln wollte. Bot uns keine Weinkarte noch eine Getränkekarte an, erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen.

Italienische Küche - schön und gut, aber mindestens 30 Euro für einen Teller Nudeln hat nichts mit Italien zu tun. Vielleicht sollten die Betreiber mal einen Ausflug in die italienische Kultur machen. Das Essen war absolut in Ordnung, mehr aber nicht. Der Servive war durchschnittlich, etwas müde und lustlos. Insgesamt, trotz des schönen Ambiente, bleibt einem, bei 9,50 Euro für eine 0,65 Liter Flasche Wasser, das passable Essen im Halse stecken. Schade, dass dadurch ein total falscher Eindruck von der italienischen Kultur und Küche entsteht.

Aggressiver Server Da wir kein Deutsch verstanden, baten wir einen anderen Kellner, der unsere Sprache verstand, die Speisekarte für uns zu übersetzen. Allerdings war der erste Kellner gegenüber dem, der für uns übersetzte, aggressiv und gab an, dass er uns perfekt verstanden habe. Am Ende habe ich nicht die Bestellung bekommen, die ich wollte. Aggressiver Mensch Évitez !!! Serveur agressif Nous ne comprenions pas l’allemand, nous avons demandé un autre serveur qui puisse comprendre notre langue pour traduire le menu pour nous. Or, le serveur de départ s’est montré agressif envers celui qui traduisait pour pour nous, en citant que celui nous comprenait parfaitement, Au final, je n’ai pas eu la commande que je voulais. Personne agressive Агрессивный сервер Мы не понимали немецкий язык, поэтому попросили другого официанта, который понимал бы наш язык, перевести нам меню. Однако первоначальный сервер был агрессивен по отношению к тому, кто нам переводил, сославшись на то, что он нас прекрасно понимает, В итоге я не получил тот заказ, который хотел. The atmosphere and food were wow! The service was good but not amazing. Our server was nice but was overwhelmed… One very rude server bit my head off when we arrived because I asked him where we should check in for our reservation. Regardless, I’d go back!

Trüffel Pommes und die Pizza caprese waren sehr sehr lecker. Die Burrata war herrlich, die beste, die ich je hatte. Brot knusprig und lecker. Gambas-Gerichte hatten nicht viel Geschmack, und waren dementsprechend überteuert.

Ein super schönes Restaurant an ausgezeichneter Lage. Ich finde es im Wintergarten sogar noch charmanter als innen. Alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und absolut einladend. Das Essen ist auch hervorragend nur leider sind wir an einen etwas weniger kundenfreundlichen Kellner geraten. Die leider etwas schroffe Art hat dem Abend den Charme genommen.

Toller service und immer gemütlich

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe im Riva. Das Essen war super! Was das Platzangebot angeht, hatten wir nur sehr begrenzte Möglichkeiten und das Personal war sehr unflexibel was unsere Wünsche betraf. Es war nicht mal möglich noch einen Stuhl mit an den Tisch dazuzustellen. Mit schien das Personal recht genervt von uns. Mit ein bisschen mehr eingeplantem Platz für uns, hätte es ein cooler Abend werden können.

Hier stimmt alles. Qualität, Ambiente, Service, Herzlichkeit. Ein Gaumengenuss bei jeder Speise und den Weinen. Empfehlenswert. Bald wieder.

45 Minuten auf einen reservieren Tisch gewartet, dann einen von draußen rein geschleppten nassen Tisch bekommen. Essen nochmal 40 min Wartezeit. Das Steak war statt Medium durch, die Beilagen waren eiskalt. Durch die ewig lange Wartezeit hatte ich schon keinen Bock mehr das Essen zu reklamieren, da ich befürchtete nochmal so lange warten zu müssen. Der Laden war viel zu überfüllt . Ich war in deutlich besseren Restaurants mit schickeren Ambiente und deutlich besserer Küche. Den Hype hierum verstehe ich 0. einmal nie wieder.

Das Riva kennt man auch über die Grenzen von Düsseldorf hinaus. Wir sind regelmäßig mit Geschäftspartnern dort und haben noch nie schlecht gegessen. Obwohl es ein Italiener ist, ist das Wiener Schnitzel mega. Die hochwertigen Zutaten der italienischen Gerichte schmeckt man deutlich. Der sehr charmante inhaber und Gastgeber Michele kann auch viel darüber erzählen. Der Service ist schnell und aufmerksam.

Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ein sehr exklusives Ambiente! Der Servcie war auch sehr zuvorkommend. Unter der Woche auch sehr angenehm und nicht zu laut!

Das Essen war Spitzenklasse. Die Kellnerin TOP. Publikum war Grauenvoll. Männliche Gäste alle Poser. Weibliche Gäste sahen alle gleich aus, wie frisch aus der Schönheitchirugie entlassen. Zu fortgeschrittener Stunde UNERTRÄGLICH laut. Schade eigentlich , da das Essen Spitze ist.

Guten Tag, ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, dass ich enttäuscht bin. Nicht vom Essen, sondern vom Service. Es kann doch nicht wahr sein, dass wenn ich 50 - 100€ für 2 Gerichte bezahle, ich nicht bedient werde! Sorry, aber das hat keine 5 Sterne verdient! 8- 10 Servierer oder Hampelmänner, mir egal wie Ihr es nennt, da blöd rumstehen und jeder andere sagt, "er bedient sie gleich/er kümmert sich gleich um sie" und das 4 Mal in Folge...Hallo?!?! Das ist keine Bedienung für mich! Das Essen ist auch nicht gut und die Bedienung zum Ko***n um es auf gut-Deutsch auszudrücken!!! Insgesamt ist das Personal auch sehr unfreundlich! Hallo?! Kunde ist König, Kunde bezahlt euch! Ich hab da sehr wenig Geduld mit, auch deswegen, weil ich selber in der Gastronomie mal gearbeitet hab. Für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis erwarte ich deutlich mehr! Das war schon sehr unterirdisch. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Hallöchen. Wir waren schon öfter ohne Kinder dort. Damals wurden wir sehr nett empfangen und bewirtet. Wir haben immer sehr viel Geld dort gelassen. Beim letzten Mal waren wir mit unseren Kindern da und es war das volle Gegenteil. Wir wurden behandelt wie Menschen 5 Klasse. Ich war so entsetzt, dass wir nicht wieder kommen werden.
