The pizza was quite good, but not my cup of tea. The pizza has a very firm crust, which gives me some frozen pizza vibes, but that's definitely not what it was, don't get me wrong. Tastes differ here; I prefer a softer crust, but if you like that kind of thing, this is the place for you. Quiet and pleasant location, friendly staff.

Absolutely terrible service. Avoid at all costs. I booked a table for dinner with my kids. Arrived and no table was ready. Was seated at a table that was barely cleaned. No baby chair. No menus were given to us. Other guests that came after us were treated much more preferentially. Menus were slammed on the table after I asked for the third time. When I asked the waiter if he could be a bit nicer to us, he was really rude and lost his temper. He then asked his colleague Kareem to speak to me. Kareem said he will take the side of the staff. Unheard of customer service policy. My son was so upset that he asked me to leave. I am so disappointed by this experience. We used to come here a lot and loved this place. Definitely never coming again. I would tell anyone with kids to avoid this place. They obviously don’t like guests with children. I’d appreciate if the management got in touch with me to discuss this.

I was here by chance. I've saved it now. Highly recommend the tagliatelle and pizza. Truly delicious and very friendly service. Plus, Moretti on tap. World-class.

Very nice, somewhat hidden shop with delicious food, good prices, a nice atmosphere and friendly service.

I was there for the first time last night. Oberkassel was pretty crowded, as Sarita was having a party at Barbarossaplatz. We managed to snag a seat when I asked the young waiter. What would you recommend? He corrected me in a patronizing manner: "What would you recommend? We're here in Oberkassel, not in Düsseldorf. Old Town." So he was offended that I addressed him informally. Okay, you can respect and accept that a young waiter doesn't like being addressed informally, but could he react differently? I found it cheeky. Extra Parmesan arrived almost 10 minutes later, and the pasta was already cold. Espresso was also forgotten. At the end, when I was paying, he apologized for saying that the evening had been a nightmare. But I still can't get over this whole "Sie" and "Du" thing. I had tagliatelle with king prawns in Pernod sauce from the daily special. It was excellent. My friends both had a simple dish from the menu, including spaghetti Napoli or penne with scampi, and were both disappointed. Would I go again? Unfortunately, no.

Delicious Italian cuisine that can definitely be recommended ☝️

We had actually planned to visit a nearby restaurant, but it was fully booked. So we stumbled upon Hot La Cucina by chance. We will be returning there more often in the future. We received a warm welcome and the food was simply fantastic. The friendly waiter, mindful of our pace, brought us the fantastic pasta dishes after the already very tasty salad with arugula, shrimp and bacon, at just the right time. I'll be dreaming of my penne with three cheeses until my next visit. Tiramisu and excellent coffee to finish. It's lovely to have discovered this place. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and very sophisticated. Perfect if you want to relax and have a reasonable conversation while enjoying the delicious food. Lively, warm and friendly.

I ordered a pizza with salami and prosciutto to take away. It took a little longer but the staff is very nice and the pizza is incredibly tasty. The dough and sauce have a very good taste and you can taste the quality of the topping. I will come back.

Favorite pizzeria in Oberkassel :)

We came here on the recommendation of a competitor employee and were not disappointed. Great service, food has real taste and soul! Reservations are recommended because there are not that many places. And as always, parking is a problem in Oberkassel… But it's worth it for this restaurant. You won't regret it.

Four of us ate there on a Thursday and luckily we had reserved, the place was packed. The tables were close together, but that only made the atmosphere more comfortable and inviting. After a Prosecco we enjoyed delicious pasta and pizza, followed by tiramisu and espresso - all simply fantastic! Hot La Cucina is a stylish, family-run pizzeria, spotlessly clean and highly recommended. The prices are okay - it's Oberkassel. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the pizza boxes stacked on the shelf; they could be better stored somewhere else. We will eat there again 😌

I dream about this food at night. I keep saying it, it is prepared by magical hands. Aside from the fantastic food, the atmosphere at this place is simply special. I love everything from a to z.

It's turbulent in the kitchen. The food is fresh and even very good! The service was friendly and nice. It's relatively difficult to get a seat without a reservation and can be done with a little waiting time. Price-performance very good

Restaurant is located in the beautiful Oberkassel district. Service is friendly. Restaurant lacks atmosphere. Tables very close together and bright light. We found the food far too salty.

This was my second time in this restaurant, which at first glance looks inconspicuous, but you immediately feel very comfortable here. Great pasta and fennel salad with oranges. My new favorite restaurant when I'm in Oberkassel. Great service, thanks to Micha, and nice people who are easy to talk to round off the evening.

Preferably no star! We ate a pizza that tasted more like a cheap frozen pizza. The cheese, if it is not an analogue cheese, then it is a cheap grated cheese. The pizza base is inferior, guaranteed to be a ready-made mix. You chew on it like an old shoe sole. A quarter of pizza took a long time to chew (with good teeth 😀) It is doubtful whether the still water was actually original since the bottle was already open. It was probably tap water. Service was unfriendly. The boss did not act in a customer-oriented manner.

Very good Italian restaurant with Peroni beer on tap. Price/performance absolutely justified.

Wir haben u.a. Pizza mit Roastbeef mit Rucola bestellt. Die wurde ohne Kommentar gereicht, sodass sich meine Frau zunächst ihre Finger an dem heißen Teller verbrannt hat. Dann war der Teig so ’knochentrocken‘, dass selbst mit scharfen Messer kaum der Bodenteig zu durchschneiden war. Der Wein ’Grauburgunder‘ für 29,50 €/ 0,75 l schlichtweg eine Zumutung. Dann ist die Terrasse mit Tischen und Stühlen so eng besetzt, dass nur wenige Zentimeter bis zur Terrassenbodenkante bleiben. Das hatte zur Folge, dass ein Stuhlbein beim Zurücksetzen des Stuhls den Terrassenboden verlassen hat und ich rücklings nach hinten zu Boden stürzte. Das ist ungemein gefährlich und kann zu schlimmen Verletzungen führen. Der Kellner stand währenddessen in der Tür und hatte den Vorgang beobachtet. Auf Bitte, dem Chef über die Situation zu berichten, hat er nur mit seinen Schultern gezuckt. Der Besitzer hat es nicht für nötig erachtet, selbst zu schauen, noch sich zu entschuldigen. Mit einer Anzeige bzw. einem Hinweis beim Ordnungsamt wird er zu rechnen haben.

I was there for the first time today at a team evening. Super cute restaurant, which doesn't look like it from the outside. Open kitchen and a beautiful sweet outdoor area. I ate the roast beef pizza with rocket, parmesan and truffle cream on the recommendation of the waiter. Super tasty and lots of meat on it too. The pizza was high quality and tasted great. The waiter was attentive and provided great service. Gladly again. 👌🏼

My absolute favorite restaurant in OBK. The pasta & pizzas are fresh and delicious! I’m sad I’m moving and won’t be able to dine here on a regular basis, but I will definitely be back when visiting Düsseldorf. Our server also added to our experience as he was always so kind and patient with us English speaking expats. Danke Hot La Cucina! We will miss you!

Leckere Pizza mit leider schrecklichem Service. Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Das Team von dem Restaurant ist nicht nur unhöflich sondern beleidigend. Die Gäste zählen da gar nichts. Offensichtlich gehen noch immer viel zu viele Leute dahin. In einer kleineren Stadt würde bei diesem Service Niemand mehr hin gehen. Ich bin entsetzt.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The young waiter with the beard was extremely rude! Our food was over 1 hour late and he told me very rudely that he will serve other customers (who came after me) first! And told me I should just leave and not cook my food!! Horrible attitude (discrimination against me) and rude!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! worst experience ever. the waiter with the black beard was extremely unfriendly because we are not German (I guess) and on purpose did not put our order in. one and a half hours later he said we are busy we didn't cook it yet should we cancel? we cancelled the order and paid for the drinks we ordered and the lame starter salad which was tasteless and had very poor quality. The bread they served was very cold and hard. 0 knowledge of hospitality, 0 respect for guests. A ruined Sunday night. I would go to Saittavini next door.. waaaay better

La peor experiencia de la historia no recomendaría este lugar en absoluto! Personal muy antipático (especialmente el camarero con la barba negra) . No es nada amigable con los extranjeros. Cancelaron nuestro pedido después de 1 . 5 horas y dijo que están ocupados y nos pidió que paguemos por las bebidas y la ensalada pésima comenzó y se van.

Everything was great - the pizza and the wine. We sat outside in a kind of tent, which was good too.

To put it bluntly, actually 0 stars! Very unfriendly reception. Service underground. When we arrived there was actually nothing going on. Several tables arrived after us and were served before us. We weren't able to order drinks...left the restaurant after 35 minutes. Were insulted badly when leaving. NEVER AGAIN! We were in a very good mood for the first 20-25 minutes... that changed.

The food was good. But it doesn't make up for the treatment and behavior of the employees. Disrespectful and malicious treatment of customers. Absolutely not recommended, we didn't feel comfortable.

Delicious, authentic food at moderate prices. Either inside or outside. But it's best not to forget to make a reservation.

There is absolutely no excuse to speak to even your worst enemy the way we were spoken to tonight- for no fault of ours btw! We arrived at the restaurant and looked whether we could sit outside, however all tables were busy. Thus, we went inside and were asked: Nothing free outside? Rather than hello, sorry that there is nothing free outside, why don’t you take a seat inside (there were plenty of free tables)? When we sat down, we ordered out drinks and food and again the waiter (it seems that he was the son of the owner) forgot the order, and asked in a rather „off“ way for repetition, but no problem, we were not bothered and were friendly towards all staff we had contact with. Our food arrived, and we were told by the waiter that he would suggest that we kept out dog quiet. The dog had been quiet and had barked twice shortly in response to the dog at the neighbouring table. We questioned this and the waiter apologised. This is when his dad- the owner (?) came and started shouting at us in the most obnoxious and rude way I have ever experienced! He told us that if we didn’t like being spoken to in this way, we should leave. I pointed put to him that he wasn’t actually aware of the situation and therefore it would probably be advisable to not get involved as the waiter (his son) had actually apologised? He then repeated that if we didn’t not like how he spoke to us we should leave, and he repeated this one more time. Maybe drinking on the job triggers such behaviour??? Clearly, as a guest, we don’t need to be told to leave three times, especially, as there was nothing that we had done wrong. We wanted to pay- his son (clearly embarrassed by what happened) in fact then wanted to give us the food as a take-away. As a frequent guest, having come here many times- I am truly shocked by this behaviour- and would recommend anyone who is friendly and expects the same back from people- to NOT go there!!! Side note: it seems there were other unhappy guests: as we overheard another table who had complained that the experience was borderline. For us it was more than borderline- it was UNACCEPTABLE and INCREDIBLY INAPPROPRIATE!

Unfortunately, for us- this is not a place we will return to, an apology would be the absolute minimum, but I doubt there will even be a reaction. Even if a team is under pressure, you need to have front staff who block this and who treat their guests in an at least acceptable and professional manner. For us it was more than borderline- it was UNACCEPTABLE and INCREDIBLY INAPPROPRIATE! My recommendation clearly is: DO NOT GO there- there are plenty of other Italian pizza places nearby, who are equally as good, but with much better service!

The fish starts to stink at the head. Service completely wrong, dad = boss impossible. If you no longer need it, you should stop. You shouldn't treat guests like that. But today there seemed to be even more of a problem. We come in and wait. 1. Question: is there anything free outside? -Unfortunately no. Can we sit here if necessary? 2. Note when ordering, unfriendly: Lasts at least 30 minutes - no apology, nothing. No question about it, then I could have chosen. 3.now question from the checkout through the store: What was that? With fig? The food actually comes much quicker. 4. Note: I recommend that you keep the dog calm. -Dachshund who didn't do anything. Ok - we didn't eat it, but we didn't have to pay for this service either. Never again! I used to be a big fan. It's a shame. If you can't do it easily or are otherwise influenced, you should at least bake small rolls.

I can only recommend people with allergies not to eat there - I had a wheat allergy - ordered gluten-free pasta - and got wheat pasta - just because I knew they only had penne gluten free - a catastrophe could be avoided. But no one was really interested. On top of that, I think Scavi & Ray Prosecco for €52.50 is a disgrace - but don't sweat it - what I can't stand at all is a team in a bad mood - where you have the feeling that everyone thinks - why didn't I look for another job - for myself There are no repeats - I can do it better at home...

As a fan from the very beginning, I am still impressed by how it managed to create a tradition.

When you enter the pizzeria you first think you are in a snack bar, but appearances are deceptive. The service is warm and courteous, the atmosphere is pleasant. The food yesterday was very tasty and the price was completely reasonable! We had a great evening and would love to come back!

Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker, kurze Wartezeit. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Etwas laut, wenn sich alle unterhalten, aber es paßt und ist okay. Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiederkommen.

Leider enttäuschend. Atmosphäre eher ungemütlich und Essen auch eher nur durchschnittlich, aber dafür relativ teuer. Es wurden keine Vorspeisenteller für das Brot serviert. Folge war, dass man den gesamten Tisch vollbröselte. Pasta für 16 € war leider wie aus der Dose. Keine selbst gemachten Nudeln, sondern aus der Verpackung. Ansonsten leider langweilig. Leider keine Empfehlung. Schade.

Wir haben online bestellt, konnten dies auch nachweisen, hat man angeblich nicht bekommen…Uns wurde uns beschieden, wenn wir jetzt mündlich bestellen hätten wie eine Wartezeit von 45 Minuten und das in einem Ton, welcher unglaublich ist. Wir waren immer dort gern essen, können aber gern in Zukunft darauf verzichten.

Unfreundlich und unzuverlässig. Öffnungszeiten stimmen mit den Öffnungszeiten in der Realität nie über ein.

Jedes Mal ist der Laden geschlossen. Wir werden es nie wieder versuchen.

Das Hot La Cucina in Düsseldorf ist mal anders italienisch essen gehen. Sehr kreativ und authentisch zugleich. PIZZA kross und sehr gut belegt ( Roastbeef Pizza ). TOLLES AMBIENTE Service sehr nett und schnell. Das Lokal ist vom Team aufbau unglaublich gut organisiert! Gerne wieder.

Sehr cooles Ambiente! Der Service ist direkt und fixiert auf seine Kunden. Pasta aus der Wochenkarte ist der Wahnsinn. Meine Freundin hatte die Classic Pizza Temperamento mit zusätzlich Parma bestellt, ebenfalls ein Traum. Das Publikum ist extrem verschieden. Gerne wieder allerdings mit Reservierung. Ps: Noch nie so viele Rolex und 911er Targa Porsche auf einem Fleck gesehen.

Pasta war sehr lecker. Pizza ist auch solide. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall sehr zufrieden.

Ciao! Das Essen ist der Hammer Preis-Leistung unschlagbar meiner Meinung. Service schnell und wach. Mir gefällt am besten die offene Küche. Wer den Chef Koch kennt braucht vor dem Essen nicht beten. Gerne wieder.

Super lecker und sehr authentisch Bestes Essen und Sehr zuvorkommender Service

Ganz früher gabs hier meine Lieblingspizza, aber schon vor einigen Jahren wurde wohl leider die Rezeptur geändert. Essen ist trotzdem lecker. Nur der Service war schon immer sehr durchwachsen. Teilweise in Ordnung, aber oftmals auch super super unfreundlich.

Wir waren hier bereits mehrere Male zu Gast und hatten immer eine kulinarisch wie auch freundliche Erfahrung in Erinnerung. Doch die heutige Behandlung bei Rückfrage nach einem Tisch für 2 Personen, hinterlässt leider einen sehr negativen Eindruck. Wir haben es tatsächlich gewagt spontan nach einem Tisch zu fragen, woraufhin wir nichtmals angesehen wurden sondern nur „Angerufen?“ entgegnet wurde. Als ich das verneinte, hat sich der junge Kellner arrogant abgewendet und das ganze nur mit einem „Da muss ich gar nicht erst gucken“ quittiert. Ohne Gastfreundlichkeit, ohne Augenkontakt und mit dem Eindruck als würde man wirklich stören. Dann war er auch schon wieder fort. Ggfs. hätten wir auch auf einen Tisch gewartet, doch diese Option schien es nicht zu geben…Wirklich schade.

In der Vergangenheit wurden wir immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend von einer lieben jungen Dame bedient, allerdings mussten wir dieses Mal eine sehr negative Erfahrung mit einem männlichen Kellner mit lockigen Haar machen müssen. Auch wenn ein Tisch für uns nicht zum Zeitpunkt verfügbar ist, hätten wir uns einen freundlicheren Umgang gewünscht, als einsilbig auf eine arrogante Art und Weise weggeschickt zu werden. Schade, aber wir kommen nicht mehr wieder.

Immer wieder total lecker und wir kommen regelmäßig seit über 30 Jahren hierher! Unsere Jungs lieben es auch. Netter Service in italienischem Ambiente!

Die beste Pizzeria die es in Düsseldorf Oberkassel gibt, absolut spitze sehr zu empfehlen war echt super lecker.

Sehr nettes Ambiente. Der Service war freundlich. Obwohl es sehr gut besucht war kam das Essen zügig an. Die Pizza so wie auch dir Pasta haben sehr gut geschmeckt.

Gleichbleibend gutes Essen Wir holen grundsätzlich nur Speisen bei Hot ab, aber sowohl die Pizzen als auch die Nudelgerichte sind seit Jahren super. Ein sehr netter Familienbetrieb!

Klein aber fein. Fand das Essen (Pizza) geschmacklich sehr gut und die Preise insgesamt angemessen. Würde ich in DDorf wohnen, würde ich öfter dort hin gehen.

Essen gut, aber 2 für eins Bier Aktion aus dem Internet nicht bekannt! Erst damit werben und dann nichts davon wissen…

Wir waren spontan mit einer größeren Gruppe da, konnten draußen sitzen. Top Pizza und sehr zuvorkommender Service! Familienbetrieb, sehr gutes Team. Kann ich rundum empfehlen.

Nice friendly place for pizza and pasta.

Sehr unfreundlicher Chef (der Vater), habe hier leider ein unterirdisches und sehr unfreundliches Verhalten erlebt. Hunde sind hier übrigens überhaupt nicht gerne gesehen (auch draußen nicht), das wurde mir mehr als deutlich "vermittelt". Gehe daher nie wieder in dieses Lokal, für mich persönlich ein absolutes No-Go. Finde es ohnehin nicht sonderlich gemütlich und das Essen auch eher mittelmäßig. Gibt bessere Italiener in Oberkassel.

One of my favourite local places for the Thursday dinner: - The food is simple but delicious - Personell is friendly and speak English - They have a lovely summer terrace and cozy interior. Overall, I recommend booking in advance (you have to call them for that). Average check without desserts is ~€50

Hier gibt es eine große Auswahl an tollen Pastagerichten und Pizza, die auch noch super lecker ist! Der Service war auch gut - komme gerne wieder!

Essen Top, Aber der Service... man wird konsequent ignoriert der Kellner steht zwar draußen sieht aber nicht das auf sämtlichen Tischen die Getränke leer sind. Auch nimmt er einem einfach das Wein Glas weg ohne nach zu fragen ob man noch etwas haben möchte . Da bin ich besseres gewöhnt. Schade

Wir waren dort zum ersten Mal und werden definitiv weiterhin kommen. Ich hatte bereits von der Nachspeise geschwärmt (Tageskarte), da ich ungelogen mit dem nicht gerechnet habe. Das Essen kam warm und schnell zu Tisch, den Kellner konnte man leider nicht so gut verstehen. Die Pasta war übrigens auch sehr lecker!
