Man had time of his life, and pizza was very very good

Spartan 80s Italian style atmosphere, but excellent value for money. It didn't convince us because there were few people. Then we tried our luck and it went very well! In no time the place filled up. Very kind staff. They speak a thousand languages, including Italian.

Pretty awful service, took a long long time to serve us and food was underwhelming, especially for the price.

Pretty average Italian. The pizzas were a little underdone and bready the toppings were pretty basic, and the lasagne was a block of cheese with elements of meat and pasta. Cash only is getting really tiring and they always insist on giving bottled water even when you expressly ask for just tap water, probably more about German tourist traps than this restaurant but honestly some of these things like cash can be really annoying. Not bad, just very average and inauthentic.

Today we came across this small but very fine restaurant by chance. The pizzas and spaghetti Aglio e Oglio were super tasty, absolutely recommended! We would love to come back!

Good food, especially the pasta

The first impression is not so good. Plastic chairs and no decorations outside. But the nice staff, the service and above all the taste of the ice cream and the preparation. Prices, down to earth and portions good. You pay for the ice cream that is important and not everything around it.

I came one evening by chance, I had my Italian jersey but I think I shouldn't have because I soiled the crest... As an Italian and a connoisseur of Italian cuisine, I believe that even in the worst restaurant in Italy you eat better. To start the pizza which was all but a pizza shocked me, I had never seen such a disaster, no taste and good if I have to be honest the best part of the pizza is the crust... In addition, the ''carbonara'' pasta dish was CUT and had no taste, it is with great despair that I announce that even in the canteen it is better... As an Italian and the son of a renowned chef I find this to be in the category of blasphemy! I never thought I would find such a disastrous restaurant but I found it, what luck! I recommend this restaurant with humor and I don't understand how this establishment has 4.7 with 800 reviews, but hey that means that no one really knows what traveling to Italy is through the quality of the products and the desire to satisfy. Eigentlich denkt man, dass ein Restaurant, das bis auf den letzten Sitzplatz gefüllt ist und zudem damit wirbt, dass man Geld spart, wenn man das Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt, eine gute Wahl ist. „Super“, denkt man, „klingt vielversprechend, ich nehme es mit.“ Doch wenn man dann 10 Euro ärmer ist, den Pizzakarton öffnet und feststellt, dass die Optik bereits enttäuscht – günstige Salami vom Discounter, lieblos angerichtet – und sich der Geschmack leider bestätigt: Die Salami schmeckt säuerlich und ekelhaft, und die Pizza insgesamt einfach nicht gut. Traurig und enttäuschend! Da konnte dann auch ein freundliches Personal die Pizza nicht mehr retten!

The takeaway from this experience is that good intentions don't always lead to good impressions. If you accept the challenge of reading this comment, then immerse yourself in a reality that I hoped was just a nightmare. To begin with, unlike others, I think it is better to recognize only one piece of knowledge, rather than claiming to know everything but knowing nothing. So, I admit that I am not Italian but I love Italian cuisine, known for its simplicity and unforgettable flavors. I thought restaurant reviews were based on people experienced in both flavor and food culture. I see that only the expression "Doberman palace" explains why the overall rating of this "restaurant" is so high. Speaking of elevation, the water must surely allow levitation to justify such a price, because I didn't know that 50cL of water was worth a Kebap. As the saying goes, tax is one thing, filth is another. In a logical sequence, we come to a pizzeria, we order a pizza, we wait (...again and again) for a PIZZA. Personally, I always need 3 fangs to reveal my taste perception. Surprisingly, just one bite was enough for me to understand that NASA had indeed financed the creation of the tomato sauce base for this “pizza”. Erratum, NASA is also experimenting with salamis and cheese, trying as hard as possible to eliminate the taste. I would therefore invite this establishment to warmly thank NASA for its completely completed experiment. The advantage of this establishment is that table service on site is a possibility. But once the table is served, staying in place is impossible. Eat to live, flee to survive... I remind you that I am not Italian, but any good connoisseur knows that carbonara sauce is made from pecorino and egg. For my part, I often make the futile mistake of replacing these essential ingredients with FRAÎCHE cream. Cutting pasta in Italy is a horror but serving it to customers becomes a crime. Usually, due to my lack of know-how, I use a tablespoon to eat spaghetti. Once again, I find myself surprised by a carbonara sauce made with “fresh” cream. A crème fraîche that seemed a little too close to the expression "homemade" (without compromising the practices used in the kitchen) No point complaining about the flavor of any dessert, their prices made me think again that it was just a nightmare. I wanted to turn a blind eye to it but I was forced to realize that it was a beautiful reality. Once again, I do not claim to be Italian. However, I believe that when you charge such high prices, customers can at least expect lower quality. Unfortunately for me, I ordered much too late compared to the closing times of adjacent establishments. Indeed, sometimes it is better to settle for a good old Kepab for 6/7 euros than to want to try out at any time in restaurants that opt ​​for the madness of prime time. People who read this entire comment may recognize themselves in their own experience. Once again, I agree to pay a lot for a restaurant if the taste is there. For my part, only disgust agreed to knock in my stomach. As for the appointment, the doctor, who knows how to take care of me the following day, will explain it to you in much more detail. Everything was perfect until we wanted to pay by card. They only accept cash. They don't say it in the letter, or they do say it in German.

Horrible experience. We wanted to have lunch at this place. We have NEVER been told that this place do not accept cards. We were about to order when we saw the comment here on google and we asked the waiter about paying by card. The waiter went furious and told us that none of the places accept cards and showed us the bank with huge commissions. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, the waiters treat you as if you are a criminal (just for paying by card) Obvious tax evasion. It’s really necessary to inform the authorities

Super, super lovely restaurant, right on the Brandenburg. The atmosphere was great, it was a bit loud at times, but no one could do anything about that and it wasn't annoying. The pasta was exceptionally tasty, but the pizza wasn't so good. The service was also exceptional and the price was also totally reasonable. I would definitely go again and definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit to this Italian restaurant. Right from the start we had the impression that our request not to order drinks was met with little understanding from the staff. Instead, we were noticeably put under pressure to order something to drink - behavior that continued with unfriendly and conspicuously disadvantageous treatment as our stay progressed. While ALL other guests at the table were served bread and dip, this was simply withheld from us. There was also a difference with the pizza: I ordered a Margherita pizza, as did a guest at the next table - but his was much more attractively prepared, decorated with fresh basil, while mine was served carelessly. A particularly unpleasant moment was when it was initially suggested to me - apparently jokingly - that I had ordered an expensive scampi pizza. This was then resolved with a snide smile before the Margherita pizza I actually ordered was brought to me. Behavior that we found to be inappropriate and disrespectful. Apart from the overall disappointing service, the food was unfortunately also unconvincing: the pizza crust was dry and not at all airy or fluffy. Overall, we had the impression that guests who don't write large bills are not welcome here. For people who consume consciously and thoughtfully, this restaurant does not seem to be the right place. In any case, we won't be coming back.

Small Italian restaurant with very nice service and good pizza. The dough was delicious and the toppings on the rocket pizza were plentiful. The selection is very good and the price is totally reasonable. We didn't have a reservation and got a seat. But it got very crowded afterwards, so a reservation would have been helpful Two points of criticism: It is very narrow, as many tables as possible were placed in as little space as possible. And cash-only payments are simply no longer possible.

Location is great. Right in the city center. Typically "Italian". About 15 tables. Small and cozy. Very friendly service. Pizza/pasta 13-16 EUR. However, we won't be coming back. In no time we had a receipt for 80 EUR. Too expensive in our opinion. Is our subjective assessment. Nevertheless, the restaurant is recommended.

Zuerst einmal das richtig positive: diese kleine Trattoria ist super gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sofort wohl, dazu kommen noch die herzlichen Bedienungen und deren toller Service. Aber leider kann das Essen da nicht ganz mithalten, nichts besonders gut und auch nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts an das ich mich lange erinnern werde. Würde ich dort wieder einen Tisch reservieren? Ja, auf jeden Fall.

We were there for the first time and had made a reservation by phone. The welcome was extremely friendly and the reservation went well. The overall service was excellent, even though the store was packed. I liked the Sophia Loren pizza and my wife said she hadn't had such good pasta aglio e olio in a long time. The house wine (white) was light and dry and the prices were almost cheap. All in all, a wonderful dinner.

Nice restaurant in the pedestrian zone, where you can sit outside if the weather is right. The staff is nice and helpful, the food is OK, but nothing special. What's annoying is that you can only pay in cash. For a larger group, like ours, this is absolutely impractical and also a bit dubious.

I recently dined at this wonderful Italian restaurant and had an amazing experience! We ordered pizza and pasta with a flavorful tomato sauce and just the right amount of spice—it was perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed the panna cotta, which was silky smooth and perfectly sweet, paired with a rich espresso and American coffee. This is by far where I've been worst treated in Europe (and that is a lot to say!) We arrived (wife and two kids) and we sat outside. An Italian waiter (Italian people should be nice, right?) barely spoke to us. He didn't speak good German and English so communication was a bit difficult. Our kids were starving, so we ordered a first time for them. Then at a second time, we order drinks for us. Then he never came despite he saw us waiving our hands. When he finally came, he was incredibly rude and disrespectful to my wife. We ordered and I ask him if he could be nicer and he answered me, again very rude that he had come 3 times to the table.... (Thats kind of his job isn't it?). After that, I told him that we were leaving. This street is packed with restaurants. If you can, avoid this place at all costs!

The food is nothing special, not bad but nothing more. Only paying in cash on the grounds that the visa costs are too high is unacceptable, especially in a big city with many tourists. The way in which customers are informed of this is out of the question: “You should just read the card properly, it says so”.

The food was very, very tasty. The Tagliatelle Salmone is highly recommended. The waiter was also very friendly :)

We had 2 * gorgonzola & spinach pasta (absolutely fantastic, done to perfection), and 2 salads, very tasty both. The Service was quick and friendly. The only comments is that apparently on the whole street only cash payments are accepted. It is written on the menu, but being in German, we didn't notice it. Luckily there are bancomats close by.

This restaurant is on a busy street and looked inviting on a hot day. I went there with my two friends on our last day in Potsdam. It was a basic Italian restaurant that you'd find in nearly every other restaurant serving Italian cuisine- nothing special about it. The drinks menu was quite limited and there weren't as many mocktail options as I would've expected. Service was very slow, but we were in no rush, so it didn't bother me. This might be something to consider if you want to be served quickly. The food tasted alright (just a bit too salty for my taste) and came with complimentary bread and cheese. At the end of the meal, we asked for three separate bills, but got one. The person serving us said he couldn't because he had already printed one. He put the receipt on the table and said you can work it out how much each person had to pay. When we got our cards out, he said the restaurant only takes cash. There were no signs for that anywhere- neither outside the restaurant nor at the tables. He said 'everyone' on that street only accept cash (We didn’t get to test that statement as we didn’t stay in Potsdam long enough). We emptied our purses to look for cash as we had run out of cash by this point in our stay in Potsdam, but had several debit and credit cards between us which didn't seem to work. We managed to pay the full bill with whatever leftover coins and bills we had, but the waiter was not happy and started complaining that we didn't leave any tip for him. We apologised and explained that it was our last day in Potsdam, but the rude waiter shook his head, grumbled loudly, and walked off. We felt awful at being spoken to in such a rude way. Shockingly bad! It was a shame that what would've been a good last evening meal for us ended in an uncomfortable way.

Hello dear Amalfi team. Your food is really very good. Prices are a bit expensive but still within the legitimate range. Otherwise I can't say anything. The review from a week ago does not match my pizza. The pizza was very good. Yesterday I had spaghetti agli o olio. They were very well seasoned but in my opinion there wasn't enough on the plate. The view and ambience weren't really my thing either because it was right on the street. But regardless, the food was still very tasty and we came on two days. I also ate in the restaurant on site and noticed that the staff was pretty nice and funny at the same time.

We had a very delicious lunch at the Trattoria Amalfi restaurant. The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Potsdam and has a very cozy atmosphere. The food was very good and we will come back. The only point deduction is for the lack of the option to pay by card.

For lunch we had a sumptuous salami pizza and a very creamy risotto with porcini mushroom sauce, which was very tasty. The waiters were also very attentive without being intrusive. A good place to enjoy Italian cuisine on Potsdam's shopping mile.
