I had dreamed about eating pork knuckle on my first trip to Berlin as I had never had it before and oh my at this restaurant it was incredible so delicious and tasty. Plus an enormous portion. I would definitely recommend eating here, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food and service were fantastic, everything we ordered was delicious and the team member who looked after us was amazing especially as we were a demanding and noisy group of 11. Thank you 🤩

We enjoyed a very cozy evening in a great atmosphere. Both the starters and the main courses were very tasty. The service was also very good. We will definitely come back next time we visit Potsdam.

An all-round great and recommended restaurant. Small but powerful probably sums it up best, you can see how the chef (Hans) lovingly and expertly conjures up culinary delicacies in the kitchen. The service is attentive and very friendly and gives excellent advice. We'll be back

Oysters are rinsed and then brought to the table drowned in oil. I wanted a slice of bread with the oysters. I was then allowed to pay €3.50 for this. I'm definitely not coming back.

Steak was just fabulously tender, melted in your mouth and the sauce was a really good addition to the taste.

We had a very nice evening here. We initially had a not so good seat in the aisle but were given a new table after a few minutes without being asked. The food and service were great and we will definitely come back.

The food is always of great quality and to me the wait for the food is an indication of the freshly prepared food. Guests can even make requests to the chef for the winter menu. Such a great little restaurant in the Nauener Tor. The caviar and Easter taste very good here and the oysters are also fairly priced. The Aperol was also of good quality. The employee who served us was friendly and attentive. We are very satisfied with the visit and when we are in Potsdam again we will definitely stop by.

We wanted to have a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Great atmosphere and also a really selected cheese plate. Unfortunately we had to wait an extremely long time. By then the wine was warm and almost empty. The service certainly couldn't help it, but then support was needed in the kitchen, especially since it wasn't even very full.

Finest French cuisine, great historical ambience right in and in front of the Nauener Tor in historically important Potsdam, we sit in the shade of olive trees with Ragout Fin and snails. Very nice.

We came here on a beautiful sunny Saturday. We ordered mussels and fries, they were so good it felt like we were eating on the beach. As good as the ones we ate in Belgium Service was attentive, polite and welcoming. The prices were very fair, and the place was super pet friendly… I loved the atmosphere of this place.

Eating with teammates. Whether burgers, sampis or mussels, everyone enjoyed it. We'd love to come back.

This is the second time we visited this restaurant. There was a new menu and it was the most delicious truffle pasta I have ever tasted. My friend ordered duck liver and steak. Duck liver was divine and the sauce with it was phenomenal… Please keep it up 🤤

Very well-kept restaurant with good French cuisine in a historic ambience (Nauener Tor). We had reserved for yesterday (Friday evening), but there were also free places for those who came spontaneously. You can sit comfortably on the terrace and enjoy a tranquil view of Potsdam's historic city center. There are no parking spaces in the immediate area, but there is a tram stop nearby. To get to the toilet, take the stairs to the gallery. The service was excellent, quick and very attentive. The map is manageable, but still very diverse. Vegetarian dishes are also offered. The two of us had four filling starters (Buratta, duck liver, wild herb salad and the ragout Fin). Everything was very tasty. Good value for money. We'd love to come back.

If you like truffle, this is the place to be. Amazing food (legendary burger) and very friendly server.

The restaurant is professionally managed and exudes French charm. I ate a burger from the weekly menu that was exceptionally good, with homemade paddy. Restaurant highly recommended!

A nice restaurant in the city gate. A small menu with different dishes. The meals are prepared in the open kitchen. When they are on the table, they are a feast for the eyes. But they also provide a treat for the palate with their individual tastes. The drinks are also special and very tasty. A great team is the guarantee for consistent performance.

We visited Pauline several times during our vacation in Potsdam. We were always greeted very friendly and given competent advice. The dishes are already a feast for the eyes and exceptionally tasty. A visit to this restaurant is definitely recommended.

It’s a small bistrot by the old wall tower, there are tables outdoors and a very pleasant atmosphere, maybe even music. The menu is limited, which is often a good thing, and it features some typical French delights such as oysters or liver pate, but there are burgers and a very German roasted ham hock that I chose and that was really super. Also the chocolate fondant was delicious and very well presented. They have a good wine list. The service is a little slow. The price on the expensive side but you don’t regret it.

We had fried duck liver, French onion soup, sturgeon caviar, a fantastic cheese selection and creme brulee. The food was first class and I am happy to have found such a great French bistro in Potsdam. We'll definitely be back.

We can only highly recommend Pauline. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and prompt, and the ambience is convincing. Right in the Nauener Tor with a very nice opportunity to sit outside, something for locals like me and tourists. The kitchen is like in a French bistro, from tarte flambée to oysters, everything is very elegantly prepared. You can watch while cooking. I can only highly recommend the restaurant.

A very nice little restaurant. Eating with a conscience... After a long trip to the city, we ate deliciously and were served in a friendly manner. Even small questions about Potsdam were answered in a friendly manner despite the full house. Big compliments to the chef. The creations were delicious!

The first impression was very inviting, but that was it... the service was an absolute disaster: we ordered a bottle of the house champagne, which the waiter spilled a glass of when opening it, and the water we ordered came without sparkling water, it was lukewarm, after it wasn't given as a gift... the cheese platter we ordered was ok, although the plates had to be replaced again because the dishwater was still on them, the champagne glasses were dusty and greasy at the same time... last but not least The chair was also smeared and my pants had a stain...maybe it would be better to go next door to Uschi, the waiters also looked friendly

I was in this beautiful place today and treated myself to an excellent selection of cheese. A very nice waiter, cold beer, blue sky and a little touch. What more could you want? Definitely worth a visit! It wasn't the last time I was here! Keep it up, thumbs up!

Nice atmosphere, we had a place in the sun right in front of the Nauener Tor. The food was very tasty and there was a glass of white wine. We will definitely come back again. The open kitchen always gives you a very good feeling.

The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and inviting. The interior design exudes a touch of Paris and creates a warm atmosphere. The service was outstanding - attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The meal itself was a highlight. Each dish was masterfully prepared and demonstrated the high quality of the ingredients. From the starter to the dessert, every bite was a taste experience. I was particularly impressed by the bouillabaisse, which was deliciously prepared with fresh fish and seafood. The crème brûlée at the end was also perfectly caramelized and simply heavenly. Overall, our visit to Restaurant Pauline was a real pleasure. It is definitely a place we would happily recommend and return to again soon.

A really cute restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy French cuisine. Surprisingly recommended for vegans - there is the Flank Steak with Redefined Meat, which is also hard to find in Berlin. I can only recommend!

A chance visit turned out to be a hit: I can't remember ever having eaten such perfect steak and fries (with truffle mayo). Plus a salad that tasted as extraordinary and good as it looked simple. The atmosphere and price-performance ratio were also perfect - simply perfect! (My partner was also absolutely satisfied with his knuckle)

We were there in the evening in mid-April. Very nice atmosphere inside. Small and cozy, somehow French. You can even watch the chef prepare something because the kitchen is completely open. But it's by no means loud or annoying! There were three of us and we shared a large mountain of shrimp, great deal. Before that there were very good tarte flambées, which also came to the table quickly. We found the prices to be very attractive and fairly calculated. You can also discover a lot in terms of wine, all typically French wines. A lovely evening, gladly again.

We went to Pauline for our first brunch on Easter Sunday. We were amazed at the great new concept - a brunch. Small selection of cheese, sausage specialties, fish, bread and rolls. The highlight is ordering small tapas from French cuisine. Not a cent was spared when it came to quality. Oysters, caviar, entrecôte, poached eggs, tarte flambée, duck liver and so on... You could choose 2 tapas per round of orders - after 4 hours I hadn't finished them all 😍. I hope that you can enjoy this brunch again on certain days in the future. We'll be back soon…

Three really dearly meant stars, but the charm is no longer there after the change of operator. This is certainly subjective, as is always the case with reviews. Only half of the open wines could be named and the highlight of the dessert was forgotten. However, the tarte flambées were okay and the service was quick.

The restaurant is very nice, the people always have a smile, the food is very good. We experienced a wonderful dinner at the Pauline restaurant!!! Good luck for the future.

Directly in the Nauener Tor - in the heart of Potsdam - is “Pauline” - a very well-kept restaurant with charm and some special features. The staff is extremely friendly and very competent, the quality of the food is excellent and the selection of drinks, especially wines, is excellent. The icing on the cake is the very special ambience, which is characterized by an open kitchen, an impressive lamp made from numerous wine bottles of various types as well as coziness and style. The selection of dishes is small but extremely fine. Here you will find dishes that you cannot find everywhere and a constantly changing menu. I would love to come back! ♥️

A very cozy restaurant, with a beautiful outdoor area. We spontaneously went for lunch on Good Friday. You are greeted personally by the owner and immediately immersed in a pleasant atmosphere. The open kitchen arouses curiosity about the preparation of the dishes we ordered. We had tarte flambée with chicken and vegetables and then a very tender steak with fries and a salad creation. Both dishes are an excellent treat.

The food tasted good, the staff was great, but the cocktails were too expensive and had too little alcohol. 🤪

Had a beautiful evening meal here lastnight. Quality food and brilliant and attentive service. My only negative, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 is that for the class and style of the place it is very sad to see fake cactus, plants and trees everywhere. With the delicious, classy menu and great service they just don't fit here and I'm certain a few fresh flowers or real plants on the tables wouldn't be too difficult to manage. But all in all I can't wait to go back again 👌
