We had dinner with 4 people on Saturday and knew the restaurant from before. Unfortunately, not much of the wonderful northern French flair remains. Prices have increased significantly without adequate compensation. The best example is a can of oil sardines that the guest can open themselves for over €18.00. Unfortunately, not all requests were included when ordering and after we asked whether the food should be served at the same time, we received the food promptly in several stages. The highlight of the whole thing, however, was the impossible room climate, which almost caused shortness of breath. We also had to have all of the clothing we wore that day washed or cleaned. Unfortunately, we will not be visiting this restaurant again in the foreseeable future as we were embarrassed that our guests had this experience. Finally, a note: Maybe they'll put their once really tasty bouillabaisse back on the menu and stick more to tradition with the ragout. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend your restaurant and the 3 stars awarded are very benevolent.

It is highly recommended to make a reservation as the restaurant only has a few seats. In summer you can of course also sit outside wonderfully. The map is quite extensive, so everyone will find what they are looking for. The service was very friendly and attentive and you were served quickly. The food was very nicely prepared and we really enjoyed everything. The dessert was absolutely recommended! Priced a little higher.

We were recently guests in a small group. I know the restaurant from before, but I haven't been there for a while. I decided on tarte flambée. The food was very tasty and the waiter was really friendly. What we found very unpleasant was the air in the room. It smelled incredibly strongly of food. In fact, I had to put all of my clothes in the washing machine afterwards. This is of course nicer outdoors in warmer seasons. In addition, a small children's menu would be nice. My daughter was of course happy about the fries and they were actually very good, but a few children's meals to choose from would be nice :)

Ambience and staff super nice. One of the best burgers we have ever eaten and the other dishes (tartare, mussels, flank steak, dessert) were also first class!

I had the pleasure of dining at Pauline on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we sat down, the service was top-notch. The waitress was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed right away. We decided to sit outside, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed lunch in the sun. We didn’t have high expectations, but Pauline exceeded them in every way. We started with oysters, and they were absolutely delicious – fresh, briny, and perfectly prepared. Following that, we tried the onion soup, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted – rich, flavorful, and comforting. The Flammkuchen was equally impressive, with a wonderful balance of flavors. To complement the meal, we enjoyed both a delightful Cremant and wine, which were great choices. The highlight of the experience was when the chef came out to check on his customers – a personal touch that added to the warm, inviting atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend Pauline to anyone visiting Potsdam, and I’ll definitely be back on my next visit. A wonderful dining experience all around!

Everything was great... except the price-performance ratio wasn't right. The 🍔 is delicious, but unfortunately too expensive. Tarte flambée tastes great and is very well topped.

When you feel a bit peckish in a foreign country, somewhere that makes Pizza is always handy, The food was EXCELLENT Ihad one with meat & spices, my wife had one with some kind of fish. Both brought to the table by a charming, helpful waitress. Excellent value for money.

First of all I would like to thank the whole team =) It was a really nice evening on January 2, 2025. I proposed to my girlfriend and everything was organized to our satisfaction! They got a great bouquet of flowers and brought it to the table perfectly with the wine. The food was delicious and the ambience is simply perfect for a lovely romantic evening!

One of the best French ( Cuisine Bretonne ) that I never tried. The food is amazing as you can see the picture we had more but I just took what I ate. Escargot as Vorspeise and Steak et Frites with fois gras. We had moules et frites, Garnelen .. Alles war super! Danke an Chef @johannes and the professional waiter .. they were very attentive, respectful and friendly. I recommend it and I will be more than happy to come back 😍

I had dreamed about eating pork knuckle on my first trip to Berlin as I had never had it before and oh my at this restaurant it was incredible so delicious and tasty. Plus an enormous portion. I would definitely recommend eating here, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food and service were fantastic, everything we ordered was delicious and the team member who looked after us was amazing especially as we were a demanding and noisy group of 11. An all-round great and recommended restaurant. Small but powerful probably sums it up best, you can see how the chef (Hans) lovingly and expertly conjures up culinary delicacies in the kitchen. The service is attentive and very friendly and gives excellent advice. We'll be back

Oysters are rinsed and then brought to the table drowned in oil. I wanted a slice of bread with the oysters. I was then allowed to pay €3.50 for this. I'm definitely not coming back.

Steak was just fabulously tender, melted in your mouth and the sauce was a really good addition to the taste.

We had a very nice evening here. We initially had a not so good seat in the aisle but were given a new table after a few minutes without being asked. The food and service were great and we will definitely come back.

Such a great little restaurant in the Nauener Tor. The caviar and Easter taste very good here and the oysters are also fairly priced. The Aperol was also of good quality. The employee who served us was friendly and attentive. We are very satisfied with the visit and when we are in Potsdam again we will definitely stop by.

We wanted to have a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Great atmosphere and also a really selected cheese plate. Unfortunately we had to wait an extremely long time. By then the wine was warm and almost empty. The service certainly couldn't help it, but then support was needed in the kitchen, especially since it wasn't even very full.

Finest French cuisine, great historical ambience right in and in front of the Nauener Tor in historically important Potsdam, we sit in the shade of olive trees with Ragout Fin and snails. Very nice.

We came here on a beautiful sunny Saturday. We ordered mussels and fries, they were so good it felt like we were eating on the beach. As good as the ones we ate in Belgium Service was attentive, polite and welcoming. The prices were very fair, and the place was super pet friendly… I loved the atmosphere of this place.

This is the second time we visited this restaurant. There was a new menu and it was the most delicious truffle pasta I have ever tasted. My friend ordered duck liver and steak. Duck liver was divine and the sauce with it was phenomenal… Please keep it up 🤤

Very well-kept restaurant with good French cuisine in a historic ambience (Nauener Tor). We had reserved for yesterday (Friday evening), but there were also free places for those who came spontaneously. You can sit comfortably on the terrace and enjoy a tranquil view of Potsdam's historic city center. There are no parking spaces in the immediate area, but there is a tram stop nearby. To get to the toilet, take the stairs to the gallery. The service was excellent, quick and very attentive. The map is manageable, but still very diverse. Vegetarian dishes are also offered. The two of us had four filling starters (Buratta, duck liver, wild herb salad and the ragout Fin). Everything was very tasty. Good value for money. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant is professionally managed and exudes French charm. I ate a burger from the weekly menu that was exceptionally good, with homemade paddy. Restaurant highly recommended!

A nice restaurant in the city gate. A small menu with different dishes. The meals are prepared in the open kitchen. When they are on the table, they are a feast for the eyes. But they also provide a treat for the palate with their individual tastes. The drinks are also special and very tasty. A great team is the guarantee for consistent performance.

We visited Pauline several times during our vacation in Potsdam. We were always greeted very friendly and given competent advice. The dishes are already a feast for the eyes and exceptionally tasty. A visit to this restaurant is definitely recommended.

We had dinner today and really enjoyed it. The service was very good, nice & friendly. The food is simply fantastic and the quality is outstanding!

It’s a small bistrot by the old wall tower, there are tables outdoors and a very pleasant atmosphere, maybe even music. The menu is limited, which is often a good thing, and it features some typical French delights such as oysters or liver pate, but there are burgers and a very German roasted ham hock that I chose and that was really super. Also the chocolate fondant was delicious and very well presented. They have a good wine list. The service is a little slow. The price on the expensive side but you don’t regret it.

Right in the Nauener Tor with a very nice opportunity to sit outside, something for locals like me and tourists. The kitchen is like in a French bistro, from tarte flambée to oysters, everything is very elegantly prepared. You can watch while cooking. I can only highly recommend the restaurant.

The first impression was very inviting, but that was it... the service was an absolute disaster: we ordered a bottle of the house champagne, which the waiter spilled a glass of when opening it, and the water we ordered came without sparkling water, it was lukewarm, after it wasn't given as a gift... the cheese platter we ordered was ok, although the plates had to be replaced again because the dishwater was still on them, the champagne glasses were dusty and greasy at the same time... last but not least The chair was also smeared and my pants had a stain...maybe it would be better to go next door to Uschi, the waiters also looked friendly
