Food is great. There is simply no separation between smoking and non-smoking outside areas. Delicious schnitzel, but no smoke in the face, it just tastes like poop. Overall a rather bad experience.

Nice spot on the terrace. The cake and cappuccino were very tasty. Not cheap but not overly priced either.

A wonderful oasis in Sanssauci Park

Very tasty food! The menu of warm dishes is relatively short, but it was tasty. The selection of cakes and drinks is large. My recommendation is the yoghurt-wild berry dream dessert.

After a stroll in Sanssouci Park, you can enjoy a meal at the nearby Café Drachenhaus, which boasts an attractive ambiance reminiscent of the Rococo style of the time. The staff are friendly and welcoming and fluent in several languages. Prices are reasonable. I recommend the poppy seed marzipan cake. Best regards

In the middle of the park on a hill. Nicely located, but with a climb or 75 stairs (from one side). Cake was great, Kaiserschmarrn was good, coffee was great. Service very friendly. We loved the ceiling with stars. Traditional.

A Potsdamer Stange and lemon tart were good, the hot chocolate was a bit thin. Still a nice place for a stop in between

We wanted to have a coffee but it was still closed. The friendly landlord offered us a coffee to go, which we gratefully accepted. Hospitality is obviously still very important here, thank you very much for that and good luck with the Drachenhaus 🙏🏻🍀

You have to be patient if you want to eat or drink something Service friendly, food ok...(tarte flambée with duck, which consisted of a lot of chatter and was drowned in jam) The toilet wasn't nice...no toilet paper anywhere and the flush was also broken There was soap, but nothing to dry your hands

The service was courteous, the food was good and the location in Sanssouci Park is fantastic. But it remains a very bitter pill to swallow, hence this review. For the Christmas dinner, a deposit of €25 per person was due when booking, which is completely fine. My father died suddenly shortly before Christmas, so there was one less person at the meal, which is how we communicated it. The surprise came when the bill arrived: although it was over €350, the deposit for my late father was withheld and not recognized because he had not eaten anything. Even after consulting with the boss, the embarrassed waitress had to insist on this approach. I have never experienced a more heartless approach and I find it completely unprofessional. I will never set foot in this restaurant again that I have known since I was a child.

Located on a hill in the northwestern part of Sanssouci Park not far from the New Palace, between the Belvedere and the Orangery. Café in a historic Chinese pagoda-style building. The guest room tries to cite the classic café house style. That in itself is quite comfortable. However, what is completely out of place is the absolutely inappropriate effort towards "modernity and digitalization", through the placement of various large displays that offer the menu on a continuous loop and illuminate the dining room... This gives the atmosphere a touch of the train station and you The whole time you ask yourself: Why? We were here for coffee. There were really very good and delicious cakes from the classic repertoire (we enjoyed Baumkuchentorte and Black Forest cake) as well as decent coffee and a great latte macchiato. The prices for the cakes ranged between 5 and 6 euros per piece, which seems a little excessive, but is certainly due to the predominantly tourist clientele. If you like, you can also have lunch or dinner here. The staff is very, very attentive, super nice and friendly. Overall, a worthwhile visit at the end of a visit to the park,

We stumbled upon this lovely little restaurant hidden away by chance. Very friendly service. Very tasty food. Interior and exterior very attractive.

Excellent Christmas dinner, very good service, but if, despite supposedly access only with reservation, there is a train station atmosphere with the door constantly open, constant visitor traffic because Drachenhaus still wants to take the unannounced coffee guests, there is no coziness, with prices for Christmas dinners of 200 euros and more that is unacceptable. Either the restaurant is only accessible by reservation at Christmas or not, but the bad aftertaste remains that the last euros are more important than the well-being of the guests who paid dearly for Christmas dinner and got the drafty train station feeling

The third time we went to the Drachenhaus and we were very satisfied with the food. Only the prices have changed dramatically. For two people, 2 non-alcoholic drinks, main courses and dessert we paid €110. No prices on the menu... That made us suspicious, but we trusted the good experiences of the last few years. That's what we say......that was the last time.Money is also devalued in this way....

Today we went to the Drachenhaus as a family (12 people) for St. Martin's goose dinner. The geese were super tasty, the side dishes were a dream. There's really nothing to complain about. The service was great, we felt completely comfortable. Many thanks to the kitchen and the service, we would do it again at any time.

We ate goose with 10 people. The goose was cut open by the waiter with side dishes of green and red cabbage sauce dumplings. I have to say it was very tasty. I can only recommend it

Today, November 3rd, 2024, we took a trip from Berlin to Potsdam and Sanssouci Park and in the Drachenhaus we treated ourselves to a Kaiserschmarren for 12.50 euros and two wine spritzers for a total of 20.00 euros. What did we get, the wine spritzer was drinkable, the Kaiserschmarren was dry and included 10 crumbs and two plums for 12.50 euros and everything in the outdoor area with self-service. And then the catering industry complains that people are staying away. It was a disappointing visit, the impression is that it's about the money of the guests, who only come once anyway. I don't want to make a recommendation.

The coffee comes from a fully automatic machine, so it tastes just like any bakery. €4.50 for a cappuccino is not justified

Simply great! Great food, nice, quick service & nice seats on the Drachenhaus terrace, it really doesn't get any better than that.

Frederick II, King of Prussia, known as Frederick the Great, had the Drachenhaus built in 1770 as a home for the winemaker on Klausberg. When designing the house, the architect Carl von Gontard was inspired by sketches of the Ta Ho Pagoda from Canton. We couldn't help but think of the Chinese House in Sanssouci Park. Frederick the Great also cultivated the chinoiserie trend that was current in the 18th century. Today the buildings leave us with a very special fascination for East Asian style elements.

Went to the dragon castle today on a beautiful autumn day. Apart from the fantastic location, today I had by far the best tarte flambée and Federweißer I've ever had!! The slightly higher price was absolutely justified by the great quality of the food. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Can highly recommend a visit there, we will be back!

Unfortunately there is no alternative to milk and the boss (?) put down a younger colleague so much that as a guest you would actually have liked to say something. I'm sorry for my young colleague, having to work with someone like that. The atmosphere there is actually nice, but under the circumstances you would rather get going again. A little tip for the boss: If you treat your employees better, they will certainly be more motivated, but being loud never helps ;).

Cozy little café in the Sanssouci park, located in the historic Drachenhaus building. Perfect spot for a break while exploring the park, and recharge with delicious cakes and hot drinks. Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Drachenhaus Restaurant & Café on October 6, 2024 was very disappointing. The service was unfriendly and unaccommodating. We had to wait quite some time for a table and were informed of the waiting time in an extremely rude manner. Instead of taking care of the guests, we were left to our own devices and told to just sit down somewhere. Any advice given by the staff was apparently secondary and unhelpful. Overall, a very unpleasant experience characterized by a lack of friendliness and poor service. I was hoping for much more and will probably not visit this restaurant again.

We have been there twice this week and the impression from the first time has been confirmed. Great, fresh cuisine. Everything is very nicely arranged, it's probably prepared with love. Very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere. We will be back.

First we would like to thank Dennis for serving us. (We specifically asked if we could mention him) Dennis was very friendly and courteous, our restaurant needs waiters like that! We had a piece of poppy seed eggnog cake and a piece of nougat cake (can't remember the exact name), the cakes are very very very tasty and recommended. We would be happy to come back if we visit Potsdam again. Thank you Dennis for your great service, keep it up!

It was very full today and we spontaneously got a table for five. The food is really delicious, the atmosphere is really stylish and the service is really courteous. You have to and should take some time to really enjoy the ambience.

For a place that fancy, I was disappointed. The soup was so salty, I could not taste the vegetables. It was half yellow and half dark orange. We asked the waitress and she couldn't tell what it was. The fish was not great, the spinach cream sauce didn't taste anything and was not creamy.

Very unfriendly and impolite service and extremely long waiting times. Although the surroundings are very beautiful, the restaurant is NOT RECOMMENDED. One star as an overall grade just because of the surroundings.

Nice atmosphere in a very quiet location. The service was friendly, the food came quickly. However, the Wiener Schnitzel was relatively tough and therefore not worth the price of over €25. The currywurst for over €17 (!) was also rather disappointing. It's a shame, the location itself is great. The regional beer was great👍.

The weather was nice and we sat outside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our dog was brought a water bowl straight away without us having to ask. The food was very tasty! Thank you!

Large selection of super delicious cakes/tarts, lunch was also super delicious (since we couldn't decide what we wanted to eat, we had lunch first and then coffee) Staff friendly, but you need to have good nerves - there's no lie - 98% of the time the guests DIDN'T find the toilet. Therefore for all future guests: The toilet is on the left side when viewed from the entrance door, go through this door (there is even a sign with "toilet") and along the right, you can't miss it - the kitchen is straight ahead . We found it entertaining and had a live cinema 😀

I recently visited this restaurant and I'm sorry to say it was a disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow. We had to wait over 30 minutes for drinks, 45 minutes for the food to finally come. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, even though only the outside seats were occupied. When the food finally arrived the disappointment was complete. It was obvious that many of the dishes consisted of convenience products (Sebastian Lege and "Besseresser" send their regards), the quality was far below what I would expect from a restaurant in this price range (e.g.: currywurst with western potatoes €18, the drinks -Prices correspondingly much too high). The dishes were tasteless and carelessly prepared. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit. For a tourist "hotspot" like Sanssouci Park, I get the impression that it's all about income from guests who only come here once anyway, rather than about quality. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately the kitchen remained cold today. Technical problems. Thanks to a well-coordinated and very courteous, friendly team, cold delicacies were offered. Rarely have we been served so kindly.

We wanted to have coffee and cake there today. After about 20 minutes of no response to us, we left again. Just walking past us and not paying attention, we figured we weren't wanted there. It's a shame, we thought it was very nice from the outside.

Were here today with my husband, father and cousin. 4 people with a wheelchair! It took a while until we reached the top with the wheelchair. Not suitable for disabled people, up the stairs through the coffee shop to the toilets, and winding corridors not easy for older people to reach. The cakes were very tasty and some of the staff were very nice... I think there was a lack of coordination as to who was allowed to serve which tables, because staff were there!!!

We only had one drink. But everything that passed us in terms of food looked very good.

The food wasn't good, burnt, fried potato wedges, for example, and the prices were too expensive for the limited offer. 18 E for a currywurst! It's simply unrivaled in the Sanssouci park. The waitress was new, didn't know anything, always came very late and was dirty!!! With dirty aprons and unkempt hair. But there is no other snack bar, no other café or at least a drinks stand in the park, so you can afford all of this.

Many coffee specialties are advertised, which unfortunately were lacking. Food cannot be rated because we had enough after the cappuccino. Service was good

We celebrated our wedding last weekend in the Drachenhaus and are very happy about it. All of our wedding guests found the location very special, we were able to have our free wedding ceremony there and there was always room for any unanswered questions before the wedding. The service was great, the food was great and we are completely happy with our decision to have celebrated the most wonderful day there. Many thanks to the Drachenhaus for the wonderful day and all the efforts.

We loved every minute of our time here, including walking up to the building, which is beautiful. The food was delicious and fresh, and the presentation was elegant. It was very reasonably priced. One may sit inside or outside. We chose to sit inside and the ambiance was so pleasant. The waiters were extremely courteous and helpful. It is also convenient when visiting Schloss Sancouci. I highly, highly recommend this place. I think it is a must-do in Potsdam.

The best insider tip in Sanssouci Park: the Dragon House. There is a garden and also the possibility to eat inside. The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and it was still a quiet place in the hustle and bustle of the tourist attraction. The prices are also reasonable... We'll remember the place for our next visit to Potsdam!!
