Toyako Sushi & Grill in Augsburg

I plan to go out to dinner with my mother, choosing the "All You Can Eat" option, and my mother ordering from the regular menu. It is required that my mother also choose the "All You Can Eat" option to avoid the appearance of profiting from my meal.

Always delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. The only downside is that sometimes it's way too hot.

An absolute must-go for foodies – especially Asian food. It's a bit more expensive than some other restaurants, but you can't (or at least we couldn't) complain about the food, service, and ambiance. Everything was delicious, we received a very warm welcome, and despite the place being packed, our food arrived at a good time. Definitely recommended!

A very nicely decorated restaurant. Prices are excellent for the quality. A very tasty variety of food. Ordering by tray is simply fantastic. Unfortunately, we lost one star. We ordered roast duck three times and it never arrived. Very clean and nicely decorated restrooms. We'd be happy to come back.

The food tasted really good, but it took a very long time to arrive. Furthermore, we didn't get some of the items we ordered right at the beginning. It's a shame, because otherwise it could have been a really nice experience.

The food was delicious, although some of the salmon sushi wasn't quite fresh and smelled strongly. The service was absolutely terrible! Some of the ladies didn't even look at us when they placed our plates down, and one didn't even respond to a "thank you." Despite our request, our table took ages to clear. My niece turned 18, and I wanted a plate for the cake we brought with us, and a waitress reluctantly and annoyedly gave it to us. Today was anything but good service and very disappointing.

Great idea, fast friendly service

Everything was great. Conditions, duration, price, sushi, fried foods, baked goods, sweets… I always enjoy coming.

In a very nice setting, you're served mediocre food at a steep price. We had to wait over 10 minutes before anyone even came. Then you order yourself from the tablet at your table. The flat rate for all-you-can-eat isn't mentioned anywhere. We were quite surprised at how expensive it was. Price-performance ratio doesn't match here. The food often arrived very late, so you ended up with far too much food at the table. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Toyako – 10 out of 5 stars, always a feast! I rave about this gem in Augsburg every time. The three of us have now declared this restaurant our favorite place – and that's not going to change anytime soon. The location is simply fantastic: central, easy to find, yet with a quiet, almost cozy atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcome. Ordering via tablet is child's play, and the speed is incredible! A fresh, piping-hot dish lands on the table every five minutes. On weekends, it took maybe ten minutes, and last time, only five. But it gets even better: The food is a first-class taste experience. Whether it's sushi, Tappan Grill, or the creative specials – everything is perfectly seasoned, perfectly prepared, and simply incredibly delicious. The Tappan Grill dishes are absolutely amazing; crispy, juicy, and full of flavor that leave you wanting more. The service team also deserves high praise: always friendly, attentive, and with a genuine smile on their faces. You don't feel like "guest number 47," but rather like welcome friends. The all-you-can-eat concept is well-thought-out and completely fair – no hidden costs, no annoying time limits, just pure freedom of enjoyment. A quick note: The restrooms are located in the basement and are only accessible via stairs. Wheelchair users should keep this in mind – otherwise, everything is great. For us, Toyako has become THE place for successful evenings full of good cheer and even better food. We'll definitely be back – as quickly as the dishes are served here!

Sometimes I had to wait 30 minutes until my entire round was complete. The food isn't bad, more like, okay. €35 for all-you-can-eat is okay, but €6.80 for 0.75l of still water is outrageous.

Absolutely awesome restaurant but I would like more vegetarian sushi and generally more vegetarian things that are not fried and fruit for dessert would also be great

The portions are sized so that you can try as many dishes as you like. If someone claims the portions are too small, then they haven't understood the point of this ordering method. Given the number of dishes that can be ordered (5 dishes per adult) and the number of rounds (10 rounds), you theoretically get 50 dishes or portions... if that's not enough... The food itself was very tasty. The restrooms, like the restaurant itself, were very modern and very clean. Negative point: We would have given it 5 stars 🌟 out of a possible 5 if the drink prices were a bit more reasonable. The margin is obviously being kept high through drinks here. It would be nice if at least the non-alcoholic drinks were a little cheaper and the food a little more expensive... All in all, it was a lovely and successful evening. The scallops are unfortunately no longer prepared with the previous white wine sauce and tasted completely off. Some of the sushi tasted better before. Unfortunately, the selection of drinks has also been reduced and is more expensive than before. It's a shame, as this inevitably means fewer visits...

Super nice atmosphere and a really nice and fast service!!!! We come from Nuremberg, unfortunately we don't have such a great Asian restaurant... All you can eat is a great experience, as you can always order freshly what you want with I Pad... Unfortunately, drinks have to be paid for separately. The toilets are clean too!!!

A very good experience, the food is of high quality and the environments are clean and pleasant. Tables a little too close to others. The food service is very fast, but the drinks service is much less so, the wait for which is sometimes exhausting. I recommend waiting for the drinks to arrive first and then starting to eat. Overall a good experience. Price for adults including 2 drinks approximately €40. Children up to 12 years including 2 drinks approximately €28.

All you can eat for 2 people: 10 food points per round for a total of 10 rounds. The waiting time per round is 10 minutes. Some dishes cost 1, 2, 3 points. Depending on the dish. The sushi and sashimi are beautifully prepared and delicious. I would like to go again and try the miso soups. Tastes great.

The food was really great, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and the fact that you can order via tablet is a great idea. Now to but... you have 2 hours to order 10 rounds, you should (understandably) only order when you have finished the last round. At the beginning it went well and the food was brought straight away. But as more guests arrived, the problem began that we had to wait 15-20 minutes for the food we ordered after ordering. Since we wouldn't have managed 10 laps anyway, that's okay for us. Still a big point of criticism for me, as 10 rounds in 2 hours wouldn't have worked in terms of service. Therefore, unfortunately two stars deducted. Otherwise great restaurant and really good food. Addendum: Son wanted to eat there again and had reserved a table for that. Unfortunately he was not allowed to eat there. Very disappointing.

I loved the concept of ordering 10 rounds of food an the iPad. And while the selection of food is very great the execution left a bit to desire. Because the food took quite some time and did not came in order it was easy to loose the overview of what was ordered. We got food from round 1 delivered after receiving things from round 5. That being sad the food was very delicious and worth the confusion. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I personally liked the design and atmosphere of the restaurant very much.

If you like to have your peace while eating, then this is the spot for you. You will receive an iPad to select what you wanna eat, you have ten rounds of food (we only made it till round 4) and they quietly bring it to your table as soon as it’s ready. So Everything is freshly made just for you to enjoy. I always recommend this place to friends and family.

Our expectations were not met. In the restaurant you can order food via a tablet and the waiter should bring it within 10 minutes. The order consists of 5 dishes per person, you can order 10 different dishes. The waiters initially forgot our order and didn't bring the food until 35 minutes after we reminded them. ...food of average quality and mediocre taste. The choice of food is limited. Not enough vegetables. Meat and fish are served with a sweet, fatty sauce. For what? Why pour this sweet sauce over all your dishes? Whether or not the fish is covered in sweet sauce is a personal matter. Therefore the sauce was scraped off with a fork, otherwise it would have been inedible. For dessert there is only ice cream that tastes like plastic. We were disappointed even though we are lovers of sushi and oriental cuisine.

Despite overcrowding and the problem that the food from the rounds often only comes together at the end. Das Restaurant ist nett eingerichtet. Man bestellt das Essen mit einem Tablet. Die Speisen sind gut zubereitet und werden schnell serviert. Der Service ist gut. Die Wein und Sektkarte ist und zu dürftig. Leider fehlt uns so ein bisschen der Flair. Wer aber gerne über ein Tablet bestellt, kann hier gut und schnell essen.

For one thing, parking in the area surrounding the restaurant is relatively limited, which can make finding a suitable spot a challenge, especially at peak times. On the other hand, when different dishes are ordered - especially A and B - the food is served on one plate, which makes it difficult to know exactly which dish belongs to which guest. This lack of separation can be a bit confusing, especially if you're eating there with several people. Despite these small shortcomings, Toyako is overall a recommendable restaurant that is particularly impressive with the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere. If you like Asian food, you will definitely find it here.

This week I went to Toyako's All-You-Can-Eat for the first time. I have to say, I was really impressed. The service was very nice and very quick. The price for the all-you-can-eat is not overpriced, considering how much you can order for it and how much fish etc. costs to buy. We also had beef fillet, which was grilled to perfection. The sushi were all very tasty and everything tasted very freshly prepared. Great ambience too. I will definitely come back and recommend it, 5 out of 5 stars!

We stayed at Toyako a few weeks ago. Ambiance and service are very good. I'm a bit disappointed with the sushi, as there is better in Augsburg. Beef, on the other hand, was great and really surprised me. Unfortunately, many dishes are always served with the same sauce. If you want to eat authentically Japanese food, you're probably better off at Kurofune. For those who eat a lot, Toyako is a good choice because you can eat as much as you want here. However, this is not exactly cheap either. If you don't like Suhsi and prefer to eat "gap fillers" like spring rolls, you should consider whether you want to pay over 30 euros for it.

Some of the food is not as described and has no resemblance to the photos. Apparently they are stock photos. This is annoying because you HAVE to finish it, no matter how bad it tastes. Otherwise you'll pay a lot more. The mushrooms in particular are not recommended and the ice cream is not put together in the constellation that is in the photos. So you have to eat 3 scoops of something completely different than what you ordered. But the atmosphere is really nice and the service is nice and good. Really okay in terms of price. Also, unfortunately, meat and fish are dominant and there is little vegetarian. Feel free to come here. If the photos matched the food it would be 5 stars.

I'm thrilled, we had lunch and everything tasted good and was freshly prepared, even though there wasn't much going on. The only thing we didn't like was the limited menu at lunchtime; certain special things are only available in the evening. But otherwise great.

Unfortunately, it was absolutely unfriendly for children, so we had to call off the whole thing and plan it completely from scratch

The food is excellent quality and super tasty.The tablet order system is excellent.Its a little expensive at 34.90e pp in the evening mid week but next time il make sure I'm super hungry before going because it's plentiful.I will try the lunch time next as its nearly 15e cheaper pp.The staff are just adorable and so friendly and yet professional at the same time.Beautifully decorated also and a really good feel place to be with ur friends or partners. I did not know it was All you can eat so I think a larger outside window advertising would be better.

The service staff answered questions as they walked by quickly and didn't take any time. When asked whether there was alcohol in the soy sauce as stated, I was told that it was a different sauce without alcohol. Whether that is true remains to be seen. You have to ask several times for napkins, spoons, etc. and wait for staff to come.

I used to eat all you can eat at Watami, but the quality of the sushi there got worse. Then I discovered Toyako and I never went to any other all you can eat restaurant than Toyako. Great atmosphere and very good food.

We are regular guests and have enjoyed coming since it opened. It was originally 5 stars. Unfortunately, I have to revise this review after the second bad experience. I would also like to justify this: the prices have now been increased from just under €29.00 per person to €34.90. €29 was already a proud price for Augsburg, but €34.90 can no longer be justified. “Shifts” were also introduced. This means that if you arrive before 8:00 p.m., you have to vacate the table again at 8:00 p.m. This is also a negative aspect. Previously you had to wait 10 minutes before placing your new order, now it's 12 minutes. The icing on the cake, however, is that sometimes the orders are not brought to the table at all and sometimes they are brought to the table with a considerable delay. Sometimes dishes from the first order are brought to the table while you wait for the third order. The tables are also cleared too slowly, so that plates pile up. All in all, it means that you have to clear the table without fully receiving your orders. This is the third time this has happened to us. Unfortunately, the quality of the food decreased, especially on weekends. All in all very annoying. We will think carefully about whether we give the restaurant another chance. At least we won't be coming back in the near future and the bottom line is that I can no longer recommend the restaurant. I think it's particularly sad that when it opened, everything from the service to the food was perfect.

The Japanese restaurant is located not far from the Augsburg State Theater and impresses with its special ambience as soon as you enter. Very modern and yet comfortable thanks to the distribution of places. There is the option to eat a la carte or an "All You Can Eat" concept, which we also chose that evening. Here you can order a total of 10 rounds of 5 dishes each within two and a half hours using a tablet. This variant is definitely more pleasant than the buffet variants found in many other Asian restaurants. The food comes beautifully presented and the sushi variations in particular offer a good and varied selection. Otherwise there is also a sufficient selection of other dishes, such as filled dumplings, grilled skewers and seafood. There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste and it was one of the best sushi I have ever eaten. In terms of price, we are already in a fairly high range, especially since as a normal eater you certainly can't get close to 10 rounds. However, if you just want to try it out completely, it's definitely not a bad choice to take the "All You Can Eat" option. For the most part there are only positive things to say about the service, the employees are all friendly and bring the ordered dishes to you very quickly even though it was very busy. The only negative point I have to mention here is that it often happened that ordered dishes were forgotten, sometimes twice or brought to the wrong place. It may not be that dramatic since you can reorder for the next round, but you should still work on it a bit. In any case, a very pleasant evening and we will definitely come back again.

Hallo, haben das Restaurant auf Empfehlung zum Familienessen besucht. Das Ambiente ist sehr modern und einladend. Die Qualität der Gerichte ist auf einem hohen Niveau. In der Rush Hour kann es vorkommen, das die bestellten Gänge sehr unterschiedlich auf den Tisch kommen. Hier meine absolute Empfehlung lieber kleinere Bestellungen aber mehrmals zu bestellen um das mögliche durcheinander zu vermeiden. Pro Person sind 5 Gerichte in 10 Gängen bestellbar was absolut ausreichend ist. Parkplatz zu finden ist sehr schwierig allerdings gibt es in der unmittelbaren Nähe ein Parkhaus für 2,50€ / Stunde. Gerne eine Empfehlung für einen Besuch!

Wir waren am Samstag mit Freunden zum Essen bei Toyako verabredet. Essen war sehr lecker, doch die Bedienung welches uns bedient hat war sehr unfreundlich. Wir haben uns nicht getraut was zu fragen. Sie war sehr agresif (Dame mit der Pony Frisur). Nach der 2. Runde als ein anderer Kellner das Geschirr von unser Tisch wegräumen wollte, hat er die Sojasoße was im Teller war über mich geschüttet. Mein Haare und weißes Hemd waren komplett mit der Soße verkleckert. Der Kellner hat nur Sorry gesagt, sonst nichts. Ich hätte erwartet, dass er wenigstens ein Tuch bringt, damit ich mich etwas sauber machen kann. 4 Sterne nur für das Essen und Ambiente. Die zwei Bedienungen waren katastrophal.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Das bestellen per Tablet setzt einen irgendwie zeitlich unter Druck. Personal sehr freundlich. Bei unserem Besuch war das Restaurant voll und der Lärmpegel dadurch sehr hoch.
