Food ok, but super unfriendly service.

The presentation and taste were okay but not what we expected given the name of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the dishes have little or nothing to do with authentic Vietnamese vegan food. Anyone who has been to Vietnam and hopes to get a hit in terms of taste, ingredients and presentation will unfortunately be disappointed. Unfortunately, the dishes have been adapted more to the German palate and the trend towards bowls.

No authentic cuisine. After the soup, which mostly contained cheap ingredients, I was extremely thirsty, which suggests that a lot of glutamate was used. I've eaten much better.

Excellent Asian food, good and curious menu and good coffee.

Supper yummy Food. The tofu was amazing, fresh vegetables and the portion was huge 🤝💗 Also staff was super friendly as well! Recommend!

The taste of food was not good. I regularly eat asian food but this was quite not upto the mark. Although I am quite surprised to see 4.5 stars overall...

Excellent and fresh Vegan food 🌱

I didn't like it. I've been to Vietnam myself and have eaten a lot of Asian food, but I don't know what kind of cuisine this is, but it's definitely not Vietnamese. The food tastes bland and stale, the rice is a bit too soft and I miss the fresh herbs. Unfortunately, there is nothing authentically Vietnamese about the dishes.

The food was very tasty, the restaurant itself was a little uncomfortable because of the stools and it was also quite cold. The waiters weren't that friendly, rather neutral and distant. That's why the ambience isn't that special

My favorite Vietnamese!! We come several times a year, celebrated my birthday there, every time it tastes very good :)

Unfortunately, I don't understand the enthusiastic reviews at all. The prices are way too high for what you get in the end. The large bowl I had was half filled with lettuce leaves and unfortunately it wasn't really filling. But the whole thing cost 15.90 euros. The two tofu skewers with satay sauce ended up being more batter and breading than tofu. In my opinion, there are definitely cheaper and tastier Vietnamese vegan options in Düsseldorf! Unfortunately I won't eat here again.

Oh dear this was delicious!!!!! What a fantastic place! The food was awesome, the service was superb and the place was great! Went there with friends from work and we all loved it. We will definitely go back

My favorite restaurant! So many delicious dishes and a lot to choose from. The vegan alternatives and the sauces are great and very well seasoned. I can only recommend the summer rolls and the teas!!

A small restaurant with a lively outside seating area. The ambience is calm and good. The food was fine. It is worth trying once and the small bowls are good for quick hunger. Both our bowls were good. The service is quick and friendly. A nice place for quick hunger Vietnamese finger food. They do have bigger portions too but small bowls are worth trying.

The Food was okay, a little bland and didn’t really meet my expectations. I was a little disappointed. Though the portions are really good. The tea was good. The service was a no for me, the lady that served me was a bit rude and acted as if she didn’t want to help me and was being forced to. And even the people I was sitting next to also commented on her services and that’s she’s not kind and is rude. Her approach to customers was very cold and distant.

Love love love the tofu sticks, the gyoza and the peanut sauce. They also make a delicious passion fruit aperol spritz drink!

One of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf! All my friends (even those who are not vegan) are enthusiastic about the restaurant. Everything just tastes fantastic. I prefer to eat the starters because then you can share a lot of things. A bit like Anti Pasti, only in Vietnamese ;-) Big recommendation! Sitting outside in summer is a dream. The shop is cute, but the tables inside can feel very cramped (when it's full). Parking options are very limited in the middle of the Japan Quarter and are definitely subject to a charge. But the location is still GREAT.

Food is good but not phenomenal. Drinks quite expensive. Still a good experience! Even if there is often a longer queue in front of the store, you usually don't have to wait too long.

Great little restaurant near the main train station! The vegan dishes were all really delicious! A recommendation even if you’re not vegan. Personally, I was still missing a little something in terms of taste. Otherwise still delicious!

I came to visit a friend in Düsseldorf and this place is quite famous and I had their Flamingo Bowl since I saw it mostly in many reviews but I was disappointed 😞 To be honest there are more noodles than the vegetables and tofu. Also the sauce doesn't taste good.

In the summer it is much more pleasant on the terrace, but the food was again very delicious!

Rather okay You had the feeling that you were paying for the look rather than the taste experience The service was friendly and patient despite the very busy shop I can recommend it for a visit, but I don't need it again for now

The mango curry is one of the best curries I’ve ever had in Europe. The whole menu looks delicious and also really fast and friendly service! On top of that everything is very reasonably priced. Wish I could come more often

Super delicious food and it's great that Little Tokyo also shows how plant-based Asian cuisine works perfectly. There is an extensive selection divided into small and large bowls. The former are roughly comparable to starters and it is worth trying several of them. My large bowl was very filling and also very good. Also delicious drinks and desserts :) It is advisable to make a reservation as it was packed when we visited and we had to wait outside for a short time. The space for two in the back area was great, but one less table would be helpful as it can get tight. The employees were definitely all friendly and service-oriented.

The food tasted good, but wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The atmosphere was ok, but the chair I was sitting on was rather uncomfortable. The table shook.

We went here for spring rolls as a snack, and it was a really great experience. Both my friend and I are Vietnamese, and we were really impressed with the authentic flavors. The spring rolls were wonderfully fresh and well filled, just as they should be. The service was also excellent; the staff were friendly and attentive. In addition, the location is beautiful and atmospheric, which made the whole experience extra pleasant. TO1980 is definitely recommended for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese street food in Düsseldorf, and we will definitely come back!

The waiter was not at all welcoming, neither did the waiter put an effort to fix our table as it was very unstable (was shaking just by keeping phone on it) . The place was mostly empty and we were still forced to sit on a table of 2. They tried their best to make us leave.

I tried this restaurant for the first time on the 19th of November. When I entered, a staff member was standing right in front of the door and immediately told me to put my umbrella there. That was fine, but he could have at least said hello or been friendlier. I regretted coming and wanted to leave, but I had to wait for my friends there. It was such an unfriendly and unwelcoming experience - I've never encountered anything like it before. Whoever that guy was as restaurant staff, he was so unfriendly.

Very tasty and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. All dishes are vegan. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The Rainbow Bowl was our favorite.

The food is excellent. Exactly what you want. A restaurant that you can always visit with family and friends regardless of your dietary preferences because the food is so good that no one misses anything. Service is usually quick and attentive. The summer rolls are particularly delicious.

Very disappointing. I will not come back. The papaya salad was ok, but the sauce felt like the sweet chilli you buy in the supermarket. The brown rice and curry dish was bad, like they put pre made ingredients together and pour some curry on them. The pho soup was nice, but the carrots were too soft, and it wasn't more than nice.

This has been my absolute favorite restaurant for 4 years and that's right! Flamingo bowl and the spring rolls are an absolute 10/10 - no matter what you order to drink, it always looks pretty and is super tasty! I love the iced tea, Thom Dau, and Exotic Love SO much!! Please everyone go eat there!!!

There is a great selection of Vietnamese specialties here. We ate there twice within one weekend. I would highlight the Butterfly Spring tea, which develops a wonderful color due to the blue flowers in the rice milk. The main courses were very tasty. Here I had a flamingo bowl and a lunch menu with soup, curry with rice and chicken wings. There is also a huge selection of small dishes that you can order. Here we tried the magoc rolls. Again highly recommended. In summary, I would say that you get your money's worth here and you probably have to go there more often to really try everything! We will definitely come back :)

The mango salad was superb. Even though it was a bit too spicy for me, I finished the whole thing as I had the pho. It works really well when the both dishes came together, otherwise I'd have a hard time finishing it in one go because of the spice level. The pho soup was very nice and refreshing. I really enjoyed it. The vegetables were cooked properly and they were all so fresh. It was such a pleasant experience. The noodle however was a bit of let down. It was somehow in small and short pieces instead of the long noodles. It would have been perfect with intact noodles.

A really great selection of delicious vegan dishes. There are two different bowl sizes and you can also vary the small bowls and add rice or rice noodles. Very friendly staff and very fast service in a nice atmosphere.

The food was amazing. This is the place to go for authentic vegan Vietnamese food. I can't recommend it enough. The tables are small, but that is part of the charm. The waiters are there to do a job, and they do it well, but they are not very friendly. All in all, it was a good experience. I stop by here every time I am in Düsseldorf.

My girlfriend took me here and we had a wonderful time. It was my first meal in Germany, and it turned out to be the best one! I had Thai green curry with tofu, and it was delicious, and the corn dog with raspberry jus sounded like a strange idea, but it turned out to be yummy. The drinks were also great, and I enjoyed my time there enormously.

A must for vegans! Absolutely delicious and diverse food with great taste!:) My partner and I have wanted to eat here for a long time and we were so impressed that we went there two days in a row! :D

Be careful with gluten free!!!! The staff says they know their stuff and will show you gluten free options BUT I was given the wrong advice and I had a bad gluten accident because of the restaurant.

It‘s great that the whole menu is vegan but unfortunately all three of us didn’t like the meals at all. They were either too salty or dry and I feel like they don’t do the Vietnamese cuisine justice as the different ingredients didn’t go well together. Maybe I’m used to the vegan Vietnamese standard of Berlin but my other local friends didn’t like it either. The atmosphere was also rather loud and hectic. We did like the drinks though!

It was okay, but I was there on a Monday evening and everything was completely full. The tables are much too close together and not really comfortable because the chairs are actually just stools. Nevertheless, the food came very quickly, about 7 minutes, and was very tasty. Drinks were a bit expensive for my standards.
