We had extra reserved place, and when we arrived, they didn't let us sit outside, in the hot oven like inside we were forced to sit. Than, the snacks arrived, at least we thouhgt like that, because real portions, even in Germany have nothing with the little food for birds they served, that was also not good at all absolute disappointment

Really great food, relatively authentic (even Vietnamese), good price.

It was delicious, peanut curry with duck was absolutely godly couldn’t be better, only “issue” was that there wasn’t more ( portion size was perfect it was just that good) Staff was nice and kind

Very disappointed. Unfriendly service. The soups #37 & #20 were very salty. Perhaps they were submerged instead of freshly cooked, which is not typical of Asian cuisine.

My partner and I became aware of this restaurant because we both ate at the To1980 location in Pempelfort a week before and were really impressed. Unfortunately, the visit to Immermanstrasse was a big disappointment. The waitress was disinterested, impatient and clearly in a bad mood. The food (both main courses and the starter) came to the table surprisingly early and at the same time - the wait lasted less than 10 minutes (the freshness of the two dishes is now questionable given that the restaurant is so full - I suspect that the food was unfortunately warmed up in the microwave became). Both the starter (Gyozas) and the two main courses (One Pilar Bowl & King Bowl) tasted very bad. It's important to mention that both my partner and I really enjoy eating Asian food often and we can't blame the disappointment on a lack of openness to Asian cuisine. A "comfort point" for the drinks - these were very good. Overall, not a nice visit - the food, service and atmosphere at the location in Pempelfort are much better and highly recommended.

The food looks great, but unfortunately doesn't taste authentic. Seems to be an Insta hotspot. Unfortunately it didn't convince us.

Das Essen war klasse, wir hatten 2 Gerichte von der Mittagskarte und waren begeistert! Die Speisen waren super lecker und total vielfältig, was bei veganen Restaurants häufig nicht der Fall ist. Wenn man asiatisches Essen liebt und Vegetarier ist, ist das Restaurant optimal! Aber auch nicht-Vegetarier sind hier gut aufgehoben und werden nichts vermissen.

I am no stranger to Vietnamese vegan food, as I eat annually in Vietnam itself and in Buddhist pagodas. Unfortunately, there is a cramped attempt to make vegan food “hip”. But that doesn't work if you want the taste to stay real. My food was totally over salted and the taste was unidentifiable. The vegetables were ok, the sauces definitely not. You should use vegan fish sauce instead of experimenting with ketchup or hoisin. The long drink was warm and the alcohol content was too high, so I had to leave half of it. The price is okay. Hygiene needs to be worked on. The cutlery was inadequate and not clean.

Really good restaurant, nearly everything is Gluten Free!! Very tasty, colorfull kitchen! A very good spot in the Little Tokyo!!!

The BEST vegan restaurant I have ever eaten at!

We always liked coming here because of the food and now we had family visiting and we wanted to show them the shop and the food, but we left because of the poor service. The staff at To1980 VEGAN has never been particularly friendly and tried hard, but today's service staff were just unpleasant and cheeky in their tone. Others may put up with it that way, but thanks to today we were able to go to a really better store, so it was good for that :)

The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was really nice. The staff, on the other hand, was rather unfriendly and short. Despite this, I would happily return because of the delicious food. :)

I came here on the first day for a trip with my friends. group of four, we came without a reservation and were told there was only one seat available inside the restaurant. One of my friends speaks south Vietnamese and figured out that the staff that were currently on shift that day also spoke south Vietnamese, so she tried to converse with our server to order our food and she didn’t understand what my friend was trying to say. At first we thought maybe she didn’t speak Vietnamese until we overheard her speaking with her colleagues with obvious south Vietnamese. After we ordered our meals we had to wait an approximate 10 minutes for it to arrive. Then when we arrived my friend asked for a server to bring us sauces, since the soup was really bland. The server told us that they didn’t have any sauces. When we looked around it was obvious everyone besides us had sauces, so now we’re left assuming that because we’re tourists we don’t get the same service as locals. Afterwards we wanted to pay for our meals, the staff wanted to round up the bill as if we were willing to tip them after their service. It was a huge disappointment after eating here. The soups were really bland and do not do the Vietnamese culinary justice, despite it being vegan. Apparently we were scammed as well, for example; on the menu it stated a dish was 12,90 and we were charged 13,90. It’s not a huge difference but if the menu needs to be updated make sure to inform the customer beforehand or give them the updated menu and not an outdated one, it doesn’t make much sense to keep outdated menu’s around. Perhaps it could’ve been because we asked for the English version of the menu, yet again, as a restaurant you should update the menu to avoid such circumstances.

We've been eating here regularly for two years now. Good vegan food, very tasty, very fast service and the portions are great too. For vegan food, this is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf and can definitely recommend it.

Very tasty, fresh Vietnamese food. It's a purely vegan restaurant, so for me as a vegan it's a "paradise" :) The flamingo bowl and the rice noodle bowl with tofu are particularly good. The non-alcoholic homemade drinks are also very refreshing. Even non-vegans with whom I ate here found the food very good and recommend this restaurant. One star deducted from “Ambience” because the chairs have no backrests and it is relatively narrow. The price-performance ratio is great, most restaurants on Immermannstrasse are more expensive. But I'd still like to come back!

Wir kommen eigentlich aus Münster, aber das hier ist mein Lieblingsrestaurant und deshalb kommen wir mindestens ein mal im Jahr hierher um ein köstliches Abendessen zu speisen. Ich kann es nicht genug loben, das Essen ist wirklich auf einem anderen Level!

I would skip it if I were you. Food is not tasty. Gyozas seem to be from the supermarket. In addition, they charge 1 euro on top of each dish so you end up paying much more than what is in the menu. Service is not good either. I would avoid it since there are many other great places around.

The food portions are small. I paid for these 2 small bowls almost 14 euros .

I've tried a lot of vegan Asian restaurants in different cities, but this one was by far the best! Gladly again :) I particularly recommend the red curry, the vegan burger and the summer rolls

Prices are very good, it now costs €1 more but given the size of the portion it is very justified. You will definitely be full. The meat “imitations” are also well done, they all taste very good. The furnishings are okay, the tables are unfortunately not really decorated but it fits. It's not an expensive restaurant either. All in all I can recommend it :) especially in comparison to the waiting times at the other restaurants on the street (during Dokomi)

The Fresh Spring Rolls and dumpling 🥟 are really flavorful with vegetables. The decor reflects a blend of contemporary style and authentic Vietnamese elements, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Among the dishes, the Flamingo Bowl is a definite highlight and my favorite but It is not a soup type. You can see in my pictures. It is really colorful and delicious. And I have tried a cocktail ( TO GAO ) with rice Vodka and berries. I don’t want to recommend this drink for someone who isn’t fan for rice. Because it tastes different than the other drinks. But if you would like to taste different, you can try this.

The inside was beautifully decorated, the food was delivered quickly and was really tasty. I'm not the biggest tofu fan, but this was really great. The sweet potato fries and the incredibly good juices are also particularly recommended.

It says they close at 10pm but in reality they close the kitchen at 9.30. They should report this on Google map. We arrived at exactly 9:30 and they did not want to assist us. Inconsiderate towards the client

My honest review has now been taken down twice. I also noticed that the reviews have dropped significantly in the last few weeks (but only those in the 1-2 star range), which means that honest reviews that don't contain what the owners want to hear are being removed. It's a shame that you still haven't learned how to deal with honest opinions.

Very disappointing. We had two takeaway dishes and the taste was strange - the bun dish tasted like nothing and the sauce in the king bowl was strong-spicy-spicy, not at all as expected. Can't recommend it!

Not a good restaurant. The service is incredibly rude. I was expected to tip, but several waiters made negative comments several times - nothing that should be rewarded. They're also trying to delete Google reviews here - this store had a rating of 4.2 a while ago!!

It was the first time I tried going to a Vietnamese restaurant, it was pleasant, but... nothing special, in my opinion (we probably didn't eat what we should have eaten, we'll have to try other options in the future💪). The staff were friendly and spoke English, I appreciate that.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the food. It's good, but unfortunately boring. I also know that you at least ask one more time before the kitchen closes. Unfortunately we couldn't order anything more. This is a bit annoying when it comes to little things that you want to share.

Get a place for two without any problem. The mango spritzer and the curry mango bowl were very tasty. A little more expensive overall, but a fantastic selection for vegetarians and vegans as all dishes are vegan.

Completely vegan, Vietnamese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Good for families or just for two. As a non-vegan, I really have to say that it is very tasty and not expensive either. Good to try, but quite spicy. I recommend the Flamingo Bowl! Gladly again! Better reserve on weekends!

Great fresh Vietnamese food, big portions for a good price. Friendly staff and nice interior. A big bowl is definately enough for dinner, but it might be more fun to order several small bowls to share. All the food is vegan and there are plenty of gluten free options. Good cocktails as well, with a nice asian twist. A must eat in Little Tokyo!

We have visited several times now. The menu is very diverse, so you can still find something new even after several visits. We didn't know that before. The selection and quality speak for themselves.

Went with a friend who had been to Vietnam the previous year (and isn’t vegan whereas I am!) We ordered 4 small plates between us and it was amazing, my friend said it was very true to what she ate in Vietnam! Not in the most salubrious area, but worth it! Interestingly there was a large stag party in at the same time all tucking in and it was great to see them enjoying a vegan restaurant! Staff were friendly and efficient!

The food is really delicious! The drinks were also very fresh and delicious, there were even passion fruit seeds floating in my passion fruit mix! The restaurant is furnished more like a snack bar, with nice decorations everywhere, but only stools inside without backrests.

Wonderful experience with the taste and food options they have. They have daily specials and I ordered the combo meal from those daily options. The mushrooms in soy sauce in the picture was my favourite.

So busy that we reserved a table and I wish we hadn't bothered. Stood there waiting and it would not have hurt to say I will be with you in a minute, then finally got a table. I wish I had walked out. The food ordered was tasteless, noodles in water? (I didn't order noodle soup) with tofu, lettuce, a few peanuts but absolutely no taste whatsoever. The food is also not cheap at all and having made the waiter aware the food was not good and he did absolutely nothing, he should be ashamed. So many better places to go, please don't spend a fortune on poor quality food.

It's crazy how good vegan can taste. With a large selection and always high quality of food, this restaurant is highly recommended! The prices are not always cheap. But they make up for it with top quality food and an always varied taste full of freshness. And this quality can also be seen in the number of visitors, because it is always full. If in doubt, you should reserve in advance, otherwise you may have to wait. All in all, it's worth it!

An incredible restaurant! The chicken substitute tastes like chicken, the duck like duck and the fish like fish! I come here regularly because I can't stand it without the food anymore. 150% recommendation!

A delicious meal and very nice that everything here is vegan. The selection is good and the food and drinks taste very good. The ambience is nice too, but there's no need for Lieferando napkins. We ordered a dish that actually came with rice. We preferred this with udon noodles. This was only possible for an additional charge of €2. I don't have a problem with extra charges, but there were really so few udon noodles that I found it unreasonable to charge extra for them, especially since the food isn't cheap anyway.

The restaurant can be reached very quickly from the city center. The ambience is enhanced by the relatively small size and appropriate furnishings. The service is very competent and courteous. In addition, the vegan food tasted surprisingly good and was very filling. I particularly liked the fact that lunch menus are offered at a reasonable price and include a small starter, main course and dessert.

The vegan food was great! I had a large one-pillar bowl and the food tasted so good that I briefly thought it was too good to be vegan. I had my first mocchi here and it was super tasty!

The food was delicious and the service was very nice and attentive. I was only moderately pleased with the ambience, the restaurant is nicely decorated but the seats are either far too close to other tables or too close to the music box so it was very loud. The stools (yes, not real chairs) are also not very comfortable.

My experience in the restaurant was not the best. Since the beginning, the service was not good. The portions are ok. My only problem is with the food quality. Almost all the options have fried tofu, and sadly, it tastes like it was made with an overused oil. I nearly got food poisoning from it. If you’re looking for a healthy place, this is not it.

Our first visit to To1980 VEGAN - Vietnamese Street Food around 4pm one afternoon. The service was friendly. The appetizer came very quickly. Unfortunately, the colas we ordered were lukewarm. The food was ok and quickly at the table. Hot, but unfortunately a bit boring in terms of taste. We expected more from the many good reviews. A pity.

Very tasty, fresh and well-seasoned food. The waitresses are very nice, attentive and unobtrusive. It can be a bit noisy inside at times.

The Service was a little inattantive, as they came to the table and someone Orders a drink they take the order and immiditly left, without asking if anyone else wants something or leaving any change to ask for ordering. Would be also nice if they would genreally ask if there is anything we would need...

The atmosphere is nice, but the staff is a bit rude. When I asked for dessert wine, he acted as if he had heard it for the first time. When we asked for a vegan burger, the contents made him feel like he was eating a plastic eraser. It sounds like a lie to offer wannabe carnivore options when there are very delicious dishes using only vegetables.

Incredibly delicious and super nice service! At least when we were there in the evening it was a little louder - but we could still hear it very well. We will be back! 😊
