A truly great place 👍🏻The ambiance perfectly captures the American lifestyle... The service is very attentive and friendly, the food was excellent and delicious 🤤. The prices are also reasonable, we'll definitely be back.

I personally don't think the price-performance ratio is that good, half a liter of beer is cheaper than a large bottle of water

Perfectly prepared steaks with a wide selection of delicious side dishes. Drinks and desserts were also top-notch. We particularly enjoyed the rustic decor and friendly service. We also appreciated that the food was brought to our tables at the same time, so we could all start eating together.

Very impressive American restaurant. Everything was perfect here.

The food was really good! Fresh, tasty, rustically prepared. We liked it. The ambience/furnishings are also impressive. Welcome to Yellowstone:-) Everything was clean, the guest room and the toilets. We can only report positively about the service. We would like to highlight Maggie, who sweetened our time with her openly friendly and good-humored nature!

The food was very good. The restaurant is impressive from the outside and very stylish and authentic inside. But you have to like meat. It was my daughter's birthday and time was taken to congratulate her. It was very crowded and probably difficult to eat there in the evening without a reservation. BUT: The service was excellent. I was particularly impressed by our waitress Alexandra. She was incredibly friendly, even remembered our names, explained the menu and concept and was very, very attentive. Totally professional and forward-looking. A service person like that is worth his weight in gold. Thank you for the successful visit, we will come again.

Nice restaurant, coherent concept, therefore a little more expensive

Four of us were there on Saturday at 4 p.m. The service was a total disaster. The waitress also apologized several times & argued that there was a lack of staff and "it was so full". If four of you have to pay over 230 euros, the service is A1. Cutlery was missing from the start, as were napkins. The benches were a bit dirty and the glasses had dishwasher stains. When she came out, she didn't target all the tables. Waving and loudly calling attention to yourself is also unpleasant as a guest. We did it as nicely as we could. For the price I have to say the food wasn't great. It's delicious, yes, but too expensive for the quality that was served to us that Saturday.

Visit to Timberjacks in Cologne on my birthday On Saturday we celebrated my birthday as a whole family at Timberjacks in Cologne. Unfortunately, there were a few points that made our visit less pleasant. When we were shown to our table, the waitress informed us that we were allowed to occupy the table for a maximum of 2 hours. Impossible! First, we were shown to a table that was reserved for 5 people, but we could only sit for 4 people. When we pointed this out we were told that in their system the table was for 5 people. Only after we asked where the fifth person should sit were we assigned another table. That was a solution, but it got off to a bit of a rocky start. Impossible! There was no cutlery at the table. When we asked, the waitress literally threw 10 pieces of cutlery into the middle of the table. We wanted to toast my birthday, but the drinks came at very long intervals, making it difficult for us to create a celebratory atmosphere. That was really disappointing. Impossible! There were also many problems with eating: The food came after 70 minutes. This means we have 50 minutes to eat. The chicken wings that we ordered as an appetizer were cooked sticky in the oven and not crispy, as I know them from my time in the USA. Unfortunately, it didn't meet the expected taste. We would have loved to send them back! The steaks were also disappointing. They contained a lot of fat and muscle and were overall not well prepared. The vegetarian food was okay, but not outstanding either. Overall, the visit was unfortunately not what we had wanted for my birthday. We therefore cannot recommend the restaurant.

You know a lot of American restaurants, but Timberjacks raises the bar even further! The ambience is amazing! You feel like you've walked into a steakhouse right in the Rocky Mountains. And the food is absolutely top class too! It really tastes like you're in the USA.

We were with you on April 9th, 2025. I can say the hospitality team in Marl is better. The food was good, but going to a restaurant isn't just about the food.

Complete disappointment. There was no one there at reception, so we had to wait about 15 minutes. The staff just walked past us - no one knew anything or showed any interest in helping. The starters were served quickly, but we waited an hour and a half for the main course - and in the end we didn't get it at all. Maybe the food would have been good, but the terrible service ruined the whole experience.

One star rating. I would have liked to give it a minus 1. We (3 people) took a weekend trip to Cologne and wanted to eat in this restaurant. We reserved a table online for 9 p.m. At reception we were told that we would have to wait another 30-45 minutes. Which was definitely out of the question for us. Here you can see again that the focus is on mass. Accepting more reservations than there are spaces available. Incidentally, it was not uncommon, as three other customers had had the same problem. No review could be given about the food - how could it be?? 🤣 So people keep that in mind when you make a reservation there. Overbookings can always happen, but when something like this happens, why not call the customer or send them an email to let them know that there are delays? Well, it definitely smelled delicious from the outside.

Relatively long waiting time for a table despite a reservation. Ordered food, waited 45 minutes, food was swapped and medium rare became medium and medium became rare. Waitress was still very nice.

Good solid food. We are regular customers and would love to come back

We were there late afternoon on a sunny spring day. It wasn't packed, which may have been due to the availability of outdoor dining. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere was beautiful to overwhelming. Unfortunately, the first drink order was only taken when we asked and 35 minutes had passed by the time the first round of drinks was served. Subjectively speaking, there was plenty of staff available, but we can't judge whether this was due to a lack of staff since we were there for the first time. What was definitely significant was the view of the bar, where two people were always standing around relatively idle and chatting. Fortunately, the food came quickly and was enjoyed by everyone at our table without exception. The dessert was also very good. Until the payment process, which took almost 2 hours, a total of 4 service staff served us, of which, in our opinion, only one appeared motivated and ambitious. All in all, we would come back, but with the expectation of better service, because the food is really worth coming here and the prices are also completely reasonable.

Unfortunately awesome - ambience is enchanting - suitable for meat lovers

It was our first time there and we were actually surprised. I have to admit that I was a bit biased. It was packed. The ambience was cool and extraordinary. The menu offers a wide selection. I took one of my standards. A Caesar salad. It was really good and completely different from what I know. Otherwise it is almost always the same everywhere. The chicken was in strings like pulled pork. There were a lot of tomatoes. The bread is really nice and crispy. Everyone who was there was happy with the food. The prices were actually pretty cheap compared to other stores. However, we had to wait a relatively long time. All in all we were very satisfied and will come again.

Very child friendly. Food was super tasty. Prices are rather high, but top quality. We'd love to come back. An atmosphere that you can treat yourself to because it tastes delicious and is an experience.

Excellent American restaurant. I had chicken wings with BBQ sauce as a starter, then a fillet steak with a fresh side salad. The meat was very tender/mild and came with the right sauce. The decor of the restaurant is really awesome, cowboy style, see photos. It's really worth stopping by, not just for culinary reasons. It's a chain, also available in Marl.

We were here for the first time yesterday. The best steakhouse we have ever eaten at. We were warmly welcomed and had a great table. Maggie was responsible for our area. Such a nice person, you just had to feel good. The steaks were on point and worth every cent, the burgers were perfect, the pasta was incredibly tasty and the ice cream and cheesecake made the evening unforgettable. Not bad, not bad :). I've eaten worse in my life. The waitresses were all super nice, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was sensational - a successful birthday for my wife. Thanks.

Went there with joy and left the restaurant with disappointment. We had to reserve a table weeks in advance because everything was always fully booked. A completely different picture emerged on site; the shop was half empty. The picture of booking weeks in advance doesn't fit. The seating was extremely uncomfortable. The seat cushions were so hard that it was not possible to eat in a relaxed manner on site. The overall atmosphere was otherwise great. Now I come to the most important part, the food. We were extremely disappointed. We ordered steak, fries, salad and a burger. For these high-class prices, we expected more. The steak wasn't good, the salad was a salad that you can make better at home and didn't taste good, and they also skimped on the dressing. The burger itself was okay but I didn't taste the sauce. There was still bacon on it, but it didn't look like bacon. The best part was the cake and the ice tea. Both tasted very tasty. We expected more with all the recessions and hype. We won't be coming back again. Very unfortunate...

If you want to get a taste of American life, this is the place for you. The food is just as you'd imagine it to be in America. A beautiful log cabin-like building with a huge screen inside and aged meat for you to marvel at. There's a really wide selection, from regular steaks to almost 1kg Tomerhawks, burgers, and Mexican food. The night menu, on the other hand, is a bit thin, but that's bearable. You should definitely book a table, as it's usually very busy. All in all, you can spend a great evening there in an unusual atmosphere.

Generally speaking, it's really delicious. However, the desserts are overly sweet. The pulled beef was really good, and the portions are quite generous. However, I think the prices are a bit too high, especially considering that you don't get any side dishes with your burger. The service was excellent and, considering the busy place, quite quick. Conclusion: Good service and delicious dishes, albeit at a hefty price. No further visits planned for the time being, though.

Definitely worth a visit... It's very loud though... and depending on which corner you sit in, you might get overlooked. Reservations are recommended... The food and drinks are beautifully presented. The look is fantastic... Even the restrooms look nice... A quick trip into the woods... The desserts and shakes are amazing.

It's fun to watch the giant screen with pictures of the Grand Canyon and other things while waiting. I would have liked some Western music.

Very tasty food, quite expensive but probably not overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately, service was only average, some had to wait for new drinks and of the 35 meals, a few came much later and one was even forgotten. But there was a dessert on the house. The restaurant itself was very harmonious and the bull riding was a dream for the kids. All in all a nice trip.

Food was an absolute disaster. It is absolutely overpriced and the food was really completely cold. Most of the meat is completely raw. Absolute disappointment!!! The fact that there aren't even any side dishes included in the dishes is not justified at all for the price. Very unfortunate

Top location! Very long waiting times! The food is unusually different but unfortunately not enough for this location. The tables lack cutlery and napkins and the service can't keep up but is friendly. For our dessert there was only a mini spoon, so we were supposed to eat the waffle with it. So everything is very strange. Seemed a bit neglected to us. Definitely more staff should be hired here, just someone to clear the tables was missing. Our plates from dinner were still there when our dessert arrived. It's a real shame, it's such a nice shop.

Hello from Kiel, I have rarely been as enthusiastic about a restaurant as I was after this visit. I had already heard a lot about this chain and since I was in Cologne for a weekend, I thought I would give the store a try - what can I say, it was more than worth it. The reservation was very easy and upon arrival it was positive to notice that there was a charging station for cars, which meant I could charge my car during my stay. When I entered the establishment, I immediately noticed the enthusiasm of the previous speakers and all the media. The store has an outstanding ambience, lots of details and an open kitchen. The staff welcomed you politely and quickly brought you to a table. The map is very large but clear. To drink I had blueberry iced tea and coffee. The coffee tasted good and was rounded off with a biscuit and milk. The in-house iced tea was outstanding. It wasn't particularly sweetened and was served with fresh fruit, a 10/10! About the dishes: First there was Roasted Pimientos & Tomatoes. Very nicely presented in a pan and piping hot when it came to the table, damn tasty. For the main course there was: - Mozzarella sticks - Roasted potatoes - Roasted Garlic Burgers -Avocado Ranch Burgers The mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever eaten. The breading was on point, the cheese was creamy, and the dip was harmonious. The roasted potatoes were served with a garlic & cheese sauce, again everything was on point - wow. The Roasted Garlic Burger did what it promised. 200 grams of juicy beef with fresh ingredients and the bread, terrific. At the end there was a piece of banana cake and I literally would have liked to sit down there. I paid €85 for everything, including a tip. That's a hell of a lot of money but I have to say, and I say this very rarely, it was worth it and it was justified! Especially in today's times it is important to adapt to the guests' money, but here the price/performance is right. Certainly not a restaurant for every week, but the special flair that this restaurant exudes made it worth every cent. Dear Timberjacks team: Thank you for this restaurant, thank you for this outstanding experience. I can't remember ever writing such a good review without negative comments. You more than deserve this! I'm really hoping for a restaurant from your chain in the Kiel area, please quickly, thank you! :) Dear team

There's nothing to complain about basically, but unfortunately the waiters are always a bit slow when taking the order, even when it's quite empty. Have been there several times and otherwise the store is highly recommended.

The food was OK. An hour from arrival/order to eating on a lunchtime is already very comfortable. Unfortunately our seat was in the corner of the children's corner, so it was loud.

The food tasted good and was attractively prepared. The ambience was also breathtaking. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait 15 minutes before we could order... Furthermore, our table was not cleared even after dessert was served. As can be seen in the photo, used dishes and glasses remained. This significantly affected the overall impression. We hope for improvement on the next visit.

Although we had reserved a table for two at 9 p.m., we were simply seated at a table with another couple around 10 a.m. 9 p.m. After we ordered our drinks, they were brought to us about 15 minutes later and the food order was taken. We both ordered burgers. The burgers tasted okay, but there was little sauce and the patty was unfortunately overcooked. I mean the animal has already died for enjoyment, so you don't have to kill it a second time 🥲. The side orders were much better, but unfortunately they couldn't quite turn things around given the hefty prices... for the money, I had somewhat higher expectations.

I got the wrong waffle then I kindly pointed it out and they just scraped it off the waffle and put the new one on it and I was told that they were sorry that they put the wrong sauce on it, even though I saw with my own eyes how they just scraped the things off the other waffle and our things weren't cleared away until we had paid, everything was still on the table, there was hardly any room for dessert even though we asked them to please put the things away

Great location! Big, great decor, big bar, cool ambience, cool live music (Thursdays), good food. A restaurant that reminds you of your last vacation in the USA :)

The waiting time for the food is extremely long. The restaurant wasn't even completely full. How long do you have to wait for food if it's full? Why is it not written anywhere that a meal takes almost an hour! That's definitely too long. The long benches are very, very uncomfortable. The bench to the table is too far away. Waitress Alexandra was very nice.

Unfortunately, the only positive things were the many parking spaces and the welcome at the restaurant reception. In terms of taste, the food was not seasoned well enough and was bland. The service at the tables was simply inattentive and the waiting time was clearly too long. We will not visit the restaurant again.

Positive: - Extremely extensive and exciting map, you don't even know where to start - very nice atmosphere - 'Lena' great waitress - As a consolation, 2 pieces of very tasty cake for free (thanks to Lena) Unfortunately not good this time: - Despite making a reservation and showing up on time, we waited in line at the entrance for 15 minutes. I can't understand why it takes so long to get people to their table (table was free) - Of the super exciting steak offers, both my first choice and my replacement choice were "unfortunately not there" - Order came quite wrong: 1) onions were not left out of one burger (although there was a hint of an allergy) 2) onions and sauce were not left out of the second burger 3) we completely forgot a side dish (we were not charged for it) - most serious: >50€ steak was not grilled medium, but totally rare. Sorry, but that simply can't happen at a steakhouse that also positions itself as a meat specialist. Especially since at THAT price... - the bull riding that was advertised (and for our kids THE reason to go there) didn't work "nobody has time for that right now"

Disappointing. The awesome location doesn't keep what it promises. The food in USA is bad and expensive. I would normally give 2 stars, but I'm still annoyed about the rip-off: almost €200 for 4 burgers, sides, drinks and ice cream! The burgers can only be ordered "through", which indicates frozen goods. There is no difference between the normal and the smashed patties from the menu, both were fried to death, dry and almost cold at the table after more than an hour. I shudder to think what these assistant chefs are doing with the impressive and appetizing sides of beef at the entrance; in pictures from other commenters the steaks looked carelessly burnt. Even those who expect American XXL portions will be disappointed. The side dishes were just as bad: fries almost cold with disgusting looking soggy sauce. The sundaes were nothing more than normal supermarket ice cream with lots of spray cream, no trace of the USA. Whether the waiting time for a few burgers was artificially stretched to over an hour can only be assumed, as we have now been asked at least five times for additional drinks. Please reduce the size of the map drastically and try to improve the quality. Each small burger roaster makes burgers that are twice as good for half the price.

We drove past it about a month ago and thought, we have to go out to eat there, it looks great from the outside! Today we were traveling nearby and just went in spontaneously (we were lucky, booking is definitely better!) and what can I say, we weren't disappointed! The food was delicious and the staff was great too! The ambience is awesome anyway! Absolute recommendation! PS: I can recommend the New York Cheesecake for dessert. Simply delicious!

Waited 1.5 hours for the food. The atmosphere wasn't that nice or that great to justify this. If I want to wait, I take the train.

Food wasn't anything special for us

Everything was really good! The steak was so good (perfectly bleu like asked), just like the onion rings, sweet potato fries (recommend aioli as dip) and the cream dessert. Wish the menu would more specify about the spiciness. Ordered the 3 peperoni, spiciest dip - was not spicy at all, I'm used to Carolina Reaper - so if you can eat spicy don't order and expect actual 'spicy'. It's made for everyone. U can ride rodeo, the whole restaurant is so good looking and even though it's a steakhouse they serve several veggie dishes. Friendly service, but I recommend booking in advance. Free parking behind the building. These people know what they are doing! Keep going!

Absolutely not recommended. Was there on Saturday evening. Reservation for 9 p.m. Maybe you won't be seated at the table at 9 p.m., okay. I also wait 10 minutes. Well after 15 minutes we sat at a table with 2 couples, okay, the table was big enough. So big that I'm sitting so far apart from the only person I'm traveling with that I feel like I need a telescope. And I don't need to talk to him either. After all, the music is so loud any conversation would have been lost anyway. Now to the service. To be honest, I don't know which service to rate. We sat at the table for over 30 minutes, no one asked us if we had already ordered even though 4 different people walked past us. At some point we didn't feel like it anymore and left. The ambience may be cool, but it's no use if there are problems everywhere else. Oh and a free tip, the best way to get there is by bike. There was no space to park either. Definitely the best hour of wasting time of my life!

The food was really delicious, the ambience was phenomenal in western style, the service was super friendly and the food was served to us quickly. (It has to be said that we were there at 2:30 p.m. and it was relatively empty - when we left at 5 p.m. it was already relatively full.) I can HIGHLY recommend the peach iced tea and the bananatella cake.

I invited my guests to Timberjacks. It was our first visit to this special location; the only thing that caught my eye was the log cabin architectural style. Everyone was very impressed with the ambience and facilities! Everyone really enjoyed it here and one of my guests booked her own party that same evening. My tip: check the food and drink menu on the website before your first visit, otherwise you might be overwhelmed by the huge selection! All dishes were excellently prepared and came to the table quickly. The service was top👍👍👍👍👍 Here tip 2: a reservation is recommended as it is quite crowded here!!

Das Ambiente ist absolute weltklasse und das Essen (getestet wurden u.a. Burger, Pommes und Chicken Wings) schmecken super lecker. Das Restaurant hat erst vor kurzem eröffnet. Hier merkt man, dass das Team sich noch einspielen muss, sodass man nicht so lange auf Rechnung und Co. warten muss.

Some of the citizens' creations are unusual and not particularly appropriate. Meat and rolls are top. Everything else like steaks was also very tasty! Clear recommendation. Despite the size of the restaurant, it is important to make a reservation.

Timberjacks has a very American style. Rustic with lots of wood. The menu is huge, if you don't find anything here it's your own fault. The meat was well fried, the zucchini fries were something different, really tasty with the avocado-lime dip. Highly recommended 🤩

We were there for the third time now. The first time was still great. The last two times the food was cold. When asked about it the second time, there was still no change. We were there last time. Especially since the prices are significantly too expensive. Only the staff is good. But that's not enough.

We were there yesterday with friends. There were 4 people in total. The reservation was for 2 p.m. because on weekend evenings you don't get anything until months later. The ambience is amazing. So much attention to detail that you can't help but be amazed. The food is rather mediocre. We had 3 burgers and a fillet steak. The burgers were okay, but nothing earth-shattering. Unfortunately the steak was done and tasted accordingly. The dessert was okay, although we didn't have the same one, they looked very similar. The price was just under €180 for 4 people. Expensive but unfortunately that's normal today. The service was okay so far, except for small things such as additional new cutlery for dessert and new napkins. You should pay attention to something like that. But overall we will definitely come back again... just because of what it has to offer. And if you want a highlight, the best place to go is after 7 p.m., then it's bull riding.
