A dinamic turkish alike Restaurant with different meal menus and soups. They have a 'dish of the day' offer, wich 3-4 options for lunch or supper, that usually includes lamb or calf meat. They also have vegetarian options like the popular lentice soup. A wild selection of sweets and different types of Baclava. You order, then seat, and the food is within 3 minutes at your table. They have mastered the serving game, and with very less comunication you get your dish at any table. For me, is a 'Must-Stop' whenever i'm running chores in Ehrenfeld wich is not my daily area.

I often get a daily special here and the price is really good. The dishes are also very tasty in terms of taste. I can highly recommend!

We asked for soup, they gave us water, we said what is this, they said get up and go.

Very dirty shop staff, almost all unfriendly. Never go to this store again, the food doesn't match the price and doesn't taste like food at all but something else The owner can do something else in these shops other than catering.

I don't get noticed by the waitress, no one comes out every time. I've been sitting here for 10 minutes. I've already smoked 2 cigarettes. Should I smoke the whole pack or something familiar?

It's not comfortable. Loud but warm on the weekend. The windows and doors are constantly open and the white light also makes it uncomfortable. More like a snack bar although it has a lot to offer when it comes to food. Food is fresh and tasty and healthy. Lahmajun fresh for €2.50 is great. But sitting comfortably and enjoying like a restaurant is not always the case.

Baklava unfortunately bad. Worst meal I've eaten here in my life. Only €5 here instead of €8 elsewhere, but not a recommendation. It's better to pay a little more, the difference is huge.

A great shop that I can recommend! What's particularly convenient is that it's open around the clock. I was there late at night and immediately felt at home. The tea was really delicious. I'd love to come back.

The only memory I have from coming to Germany that I never want to remember is the 27 minutes I spent in this shop. The food was incredibly poor quality and tasteless, something called lahmacun came to our table, thanks to which we were offended by the lahmacun. Do not consume onion and tomato pieces randomly spilled on a runny dough. The soup we said tasted good, but it was cold, we couldn't drink it. After passing the soup section, we realized that there is only one ladle for 5 types of soup. The man puts the tripe soup and the lentils with the same ladle, and you have a mixed soup. The only thing I can say good about the place was the ayran. If you like to drink ayran, you can go and drink it well. I would never, ever recommend you to go to this place because it is open late at night. It is a much more logical option to stay hungry, or I recommend you to eat empty bread with ayran.

We ate soup and lahmacun at night. The soup wasn't bad, but the lahmacun stuff was so bad that I couldn't eat it because I was afraid I would be poisoned. Afterwards we asked for tea, it was sour in a way we did not understand. We wanted to pay separately but there was a problem at the cash register. They tried. We regretted what we ate.

Food is tasteless, service is bad. I do not recommend.

I called because I was sold two old sesame rings. They were courteous on the phone and told me if you were around the corner you could come by and get two new fresh sesame rings. However, since I live almost 10 kilometers away, I let them know that I would come the following day, which was accepted. Well the next day I showed up, the shop wasn't particularly full, but there was something to do and I was met with the following words: "Are you sure you bought two "old" sesame rings from us?" The look was not at all neutral, but rather as if one wanted to assume something about them. Well my conclusion is that neither I nor I will come to you and I will no longer send other people to you asking me where you can get fresh baked goods, since it hasn't happened for the first time (you just thought this time I give strength to my voice) Ps. I bought flatbread three times 🫓 and two sesame rings. The bread is great, there's nothing wrong with it, but what's the point if you want to make a nice complaint and are treated so badly that you don't get much attention. One of two sesame rings was brought back and the other, because it had already crumbled, was thrown into the trash (which I generally find a shame when it comes to food) and when I showed one sesame ring the gentleman said '" they said on the phone something from two pieces and here I only see one!” then almost threw a euro on the counter at the speed at which it happened, simply inhumane. If it ever happens to you, just don't throw it in the trash, otherwise you'll get something like that thrown at you like I did. Simply outrageous.

Very tasty mocha and good pastries. The road there isn't that busy either. So it's relatively "quiet" for such an environment. You can easily sit outside in front of it. Since I was there in the morning, unfortunately I can't rate any real food. But what I got was very good. The price is also optimal.

This place is the salvation for a day that got late and you want to have something delicious, healthy and quick for dinner. It is known for its famous lentil soup which is a 10. They brought it to us super quickly and with a lot of bread (the bread in the photo is for two people).

What a lentil soup! The best I've ever eaten. With lemon and bread. Plus the homemade Ayran. Tadim Damak really has it. A Cologne cultural hotspot. Everyone here goes for gin. I was here for the first time and I'm thrilled.

Unfortunately the Künefe didn't taste good at all. It just tastes like dough! Waiter unfriendly. Not recommendable!

Very bad service. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked the waiter if he would like to serve me. The answer is that I should go to the counter. Ridiculous. You can draw attention to self-service with signs and information. But that doesn't exist here. But when you come there as a group of girls, things look different. I wonder why. Totally unfriendly young guys there. You don't get a menu. No indication of self-service. As a long-time customer, I have seen a lot of staff there, but the current staff is the last one. The store is ruining its reputation. Arabic music playing way too loudly, “waiters” chatting away, and zero friendliness. It's a shame, but after so many years, Damak is over for me. Looks like a restaurant, but it's anything but. The soups used to be excellent, but they aren't anymore. I tried to speak to the boss, but the waiters didn't want to show them. The baker poorly pretended to be the boss and saw self-service as normal. Interesting. Would like to see him wait 30 minutes without being served.

I really enjoy eating baklava and künüfe. Usually always at Damla from Venlor Str.. At Damla everything tastes fantastic. But I warn you about this shop. Turkish pizza labeled and disgusting with strange salad that only has syrup on it. What's worse is the fact that the top is completely soft without any liquid. As if it had just been thawed. There isn't a single Turk working in the shop and none of the guests are Turks either. That should have been a warning to me. So we ordered three things and didn't touch any of them. Just disgusting and the people who work there barely understand a word and are unfriendly. I haven't been so disappointed in a long time. So really stay away from the store. The money would be better off in the trash can. By the way, the tea doesn't taste good either...

By far the best lentil soup (vegan) I have eaten! It's super quick and you get a lot of bread with it. I recommend everyone to eat here :) baklava is also very tasty here!

She just wanted to grab something to eat and ended up in this restaurant. We ate really, really great! It was super tasty and so different from the other Turkish restaurants we've had the pleasure of getting to know so far. The staff were very accommodating and the price was completely reasonable. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, the waiters didn't notice us (8 people) after 20 minutes. We were neither spoken to nor given a card. Even if the store wasn't that full, they could have at least distributed the cards. Something like that is disrespectful to the customers who go a long way and sacrifice their time...

A mix of Turkish bakery and snack bar. Baked goods are freshly baked on site. Everything looks a bit unhygienic, but a look into the open kitchen reveals a lot. Kurufasulye had little to do with Kurufasulye, we didn't like it at all. Pirinç pilavi, Lahmacun and Kavurma too. The pide was freshly baked and tasted ok. We wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately!

The Lahmacun is very tasty, the staff is friendly, but the ambience is very bad with the tables outside, I would strongly recommend sitting inside, although there can be a lot of guests sitting there and it would probably be loud with the radio and the staff, but it is a lot better than there is a lot of smoke out there, loud phone calls or other things that could be very disruptive when eating.

Best store. The only thing that might make it a little more possible, that some people can do it more often, is maybe another “non-soup” option in vegan 😍

I stayed back super tasty and delighted and was able to infect my wife so that we are happy and satisfied and would like to come back if it doesn't get too expensive because we are poor people and are looking for accommodation for the beautiful days near the Baltic Sea and the Sun thank you GREAT

Unfortunately the staff was very inattentive. Constantly had to go to the counter to be served. Even when we wanted to pay at the checkout, the employee with his cell phone stood leaning against the wall behind the counter and didn't pay any attention to us. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good either. OK for the price. Künefe came cold. It's a real shame because the shop was recommended to us for sweets. It was probably better once. Unfortunately I can't confirm it for today. I hope you take the reviews as an incentive to at least improve your service. In this case, food is a matter of taste. Thank you anyway!

Essen ist günstig und einfach. Das Ambiente ist unter Durchschnitt, was aber überhaupt nicht schlimm ist im Angesicht der Hintergrundmusik (Shishabarhits 2019). Der Service ist schlecht aber auch nicht schlimm. Irgendwie der ist alles schlecht außer das Essen aber trotzdem komme ich gerne hierhin, da ich es hier unterhaltsam finde. Im übrigen muss man den Kellnern immer wieder drauf aufmerksam machen, dass die Bestellung unvollständig ist 😝

Nach meinem letzten Essen dort,konnte ich wegen magenschmerzen das Bett 4 Tage nicht verlassen. In der Küche läuft irgendetwas schief,oder nicht zu recht. Das letzte mal war das letzte mal!

Ich möchte wirklich nicht negativ klingen, jedoch ist ein Teil des Personals sehr unsympathisch. Kein Lächeln im Gesicht und keine Motivation an der Arbeit. Beim Eintreten in den Laden wird man nicht einmal begrüßt. Als ich einen Tee bestellen wollte, wurde mir gesagt das man hier keinen Tee ausschenkt. Man wollte mich also nicht als "nur Tee trinkenden" Kunden haben. Unglaublich frech! Zum Essen kann ich nur die Linsensuppe beurteilen, und diese war wirklich nicht gut. Die Kritik über den Service und die Mitarbeiter ist natürlich nicht zu verallgemeinern, bestimmt sind dort auch Mitarbeiter die Ihren Job äußerst gut machen. Ich jedoch habe eine negativ Erfahrung gehabt.

Guter türkischer Kaffee, schön serviert. Freundliches Personal. Take-Away-Atmosphäre.

Essen war und ist super! Leider versuchen die Mitarbeiter die Kunden über den Tisch zu ziehen. Der Lamacun kostet 3,50€ mit Salat, es wird jedoch 6€ verlangt. Sobald man darauf hinweist, dass 3,50€ ausgeschrieben steht, wird dieser für den Preis verkauft .

Leckeres Mercimek gegessen. Also auch für Veganer geeignet, wenn man türkische Linsensuppe mag.

Sehr leckere Tagesgerichte. Unbedingt Baklava probieren !

Manisa'dan bir haftalık köln gezimizde arayarak bulduğumuz bu türk lokantası,bazı günlerde iki defa gittiğimiz konağımız oldu.. Çorba ve sulu yemek ihtiyacımızı fazlasıyla karşıladılar.Bize karşı iyiydiler.Kendikerinin yaptığı pideler de çok lezzetliydi..Personel melik'e de ayrıca teşekkür ederiz.Yolumuz köln'e düştüğünde mutlaka tekrar uğrayacağız.Selamlar..

Mehr als eine halbe Stunde auf unser Künefe gewartet und es war nicht richtig durch. Anscheinend wurde unsere Bestellung vergessen.

Essen akzeptable aber Dienst katastrophale, bei 2 Besuche wollten Mitarbeiter die Tische nicht sauber machen und nicht am Tisch nur uns nicht bedienen. Eckelhafte benehmen.

Our ICE train departure was rerouted from Köln Ehrenfeld today and we were looking for somewhere quick and cheap to eat in the area when we came across this little gem. The super friendly staff realised from our bad German and confused faces that we were English so made such an effort to help us. We both had a really delicious fish stew which came with a basket of the most delicious and fluffy bread. We were sad that we needed to get away and catch our train so didn't have time for tea or baklava. Would really recommend this place for good and well-priced food and if we're ever back in Köln we'll visit again and try something different.

Bad experience with payment. Google page says they accept cards and they do have card machine at the register, but they wanted cash only and refused to take any of the different types of cards available. Other businesses post a cash-only sign on the door or take payment at time of order. This one didn’t say anything until after the food was served and was not helpful in solving this situation. I had to go out and find a bank to withdraw cash.

The service is unexisting. We're stepping in, waiting in the queue to order, the "server" at the front guest is telling my friend to go sit until someone comes to take orders. The tables hasn't been clean from the previous costumers. I wave at the front desk but nothing ... I stand up go to by the cash desk & ask nicely if someone can clean the table as we're wating. He looks at me, says ok but doesn't do it or even ask someone to clean it... Seriously ? What's wrong with that FONDAMENTAL thing... I shouldnt even ask for the table to be clean... We're waiting some 15 minutes but nobody's coming. The table is still uncleaned yet so fare I stand up go by cash desk to grab some hand sanitizer, get some napkins, remove the dirty plates on the side uncleaned table and clean as I could anyway... 20 minutes still no one to take order. My friend vocally seize a server and ask him if we can order but he says that we have to order by the cash desk... "What??? But your mate told us to sit and wait for a server to take order..." We go at the cash desk again wait in the queue again and finally take order... Order takes an other 15 minutes to reach our table. Why did he not bring the tea we asked for... We're still waiting but nothing comes... As we leave I wanna pay by card but the cashier doesn't want to. Why ??? I mean it's 2023. Paying by card isn't a favor I was asking... I don't care if you don't wanna declare your taxes... That's none of my business... Sincerely the service was horrible. You really need a better formation for your personal specially if you wanna get a good reputation, it ruins the food experience. Don't be rude with your clients... Ponder over this.

Bei sehr heißen Sommertemperaturen darf man nicht draußen sitzen, die bestellten pide sind massiv trocken. Gefühlt nur Staub. Sämtliche Ansprache erfolgt im unfreundlichen Ton. Generell spricht das Personal kaum bis wenig deutsch, in Deutschland sollte man das können/ sollen/ wollen/ müssen. Im Laden läuft so Laut Musik das man sich kaum unterhalten kann, außer man brüllt gegen das ausländische Gebrüll an Ich komme nicht wieder.

Herşey çok güzeldi Tavsiye ederim.

Ob Baklava, Pide, Simit oder köstliche Acma alles sehr gut. Auch der typisch türkische Mittagstisch ist zu empfehlen. Cay meist frisch und lecker. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt vor der Tür einige Tische und Bänke, im Ladenlokal ebenfalls.
