We were absolutely thrilled with the Fackelgarten. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the warm atmosphere and the attention to detail with which this hotel is run. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive; you immediately feel welcome and perfectly at ease. The location is idyllic, right on the Elde River with a stunning view. Whether at breakfast or in the restaurant in the evening, the view of the water creates a truly special atmosphere. The hotel is stylishly furnished, meticulously maintained, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was an absolute highlight for us! We've never experienced anything like it: an extraordinary selection of fresh, regional, and beautifully presented dishes, every detail perfectly coordinated. You can tell that quality, passion, and hospitality are paramount here. The restaurant also delighted us: outstanding cuisine, creative dishes, excellent quality, and service that perfectly complements the food. Everything is just right, from the first coffee in the morning to the last glass of wine in the evening. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend the Fackelgarten!

The food was exceptionally good. It was the first time in my life that I'd eaten a knuckle of pork without mustard, to preserve the delicate, original flavor. The dessert was also truly delicious.

Small kiosk with seating...I think the cake was freshly bought, and the Aperol is delicious. You just have to be careful, as the owner is prone to miscalculating.

Normality still reigns here. Delicious 😋 food at a normal price, beer 🍺 freshly tapped, and a double shot of schnapps. And the staff are really nice. We'll be back tomorrow.

I was there on a Laschke-Reisen bus. The company organized everything well. Wolfgang is a careful bus driver.
