Very friendly, very good food, very nice location - everything fits

Very nice restaurant right on the water. The furnishings are very nice and modern. The staff is extremely friendly. The food was extremely tasty and prepared with attention to detail. To get a place on the terrace you should reserve. But that's completely understandable given the beautiful view. We would always come back.

In addition to the culinary blah blah in Plau am See, I was happy to experience a restaurant that seemed appealing according to the menu. The reality is different. Not just in terms of price. Unfortunately. I was happy to follow the service staff's recommendation and order the scallops that weren't on the menu in advance. There was a small visual highlight. However cold. The foam served with it and the pickled version of cauliflower florets... Didn't make it any better. For the main course I ordered pike perch... A delight, with crispy skin and beautifully cooked to perfection. Also different than expected. The pikeperch was much too dry, which the service staff unfortunately noticed even during a conversation. The whole thing is mottled.... It's a simple way, probably.... Hopefully the only thing in the world not to enjoy it. For me personally - a rape of the great product. On the menu there is also a boujabais, plauer type... Based on my experience, I didn't want to treat myself to that. Smile. Maybe a mistake. Please don't continue like this, especially since parts of the food fell from the plate across the table onto the floor when it was served. Kind regards} Hotel Fackelgarten....

We spontaneously went to the restaurant with the dog because we were very hungry and had just arrived. We received a very friendly welcome and despite not having a reservation as it is usually full, we were given a table inside. The location on the water, with a view of boats passing by, which is why the historic lift bridge goes up and down next door, is just great. The food blows you away again because it was such a tasteful, perfectly seasoned, beautifully prepared explosion for us, just wow. All the waitresses were great, friendly, funny, attentive. All in all, it fits here and we want to book the hotel there next time we visit and are looking forward to this cute place with its many small shops, the 13th century church and the castle. There is so much to see there, just great.

Great shady spot right by the water. Super warm, fast service and ice cream flavors that I will never forget: wild berry cheesecake and salted caramel (like Daim) - a dream! The paradise spritzer was also very tasty and refreshing and saves the regional ones Steu orchards.

Very nice small hotel in the middle of the town of Plau am See with a modern flair. We had a nice room with a direct view of the lifting bridge. From here you can reach everything on foot. There are parking options in the immediate vicinity. The breakfast was very lovingly prepared, rich and absolutely delicious with homemade jams, yoghurt and much more. Very nice hosts who also have time for a quick chat. The in-house bike rental was also really practical. We felt very comfortable 😀

We stopped by the torch garden by chance and were absolutely thrilled. The food was fantastic, the staff was super accommodating and even the toilets were clean and elegant. We would like to come again. The next visit is not accidental.

Unusual... Everything here is done with great attention to detail, which can be clearly seen in the great furnishings in the restaurant/terrace or in the dishes. The staff is exceptionally nice to make the stay as pleasant as possible, thank you for that. The river breakfast was a delight (very fresh and high quality) and the cocktail recommendation was delicious. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the torch garden, an oasis of well-being for a little break. Thank you, it was great!!!

Great restaurant with attention to detail. When visiting Plau am See, I can only warmly recommend the torch garden. The small menu offers something for every taste. The food is very attractively prepared and tastes fabulous. The portions are sufficient. The ambience also invites you to linger, whether inside or outside right by the river. The staff is always very warm and always strives to make the guests happy. A reservation in advance is advisable, but you can still try to get a seat in the restaurant spontaneously (especially outside of peak times). The torch garden is an absolute recommendation!

We had a really nice afternoon in the torch garden. The food was super tasty and the prices were completely reasonable because there wasn't the usual offering. The entire team was very accommodating and friendly, we immediately felt like we were in good hands (you're doing a great job!!!) There is one point deduction for the rooms, unfortunately because the cobblestones make it very loud at night when cars drive past (but the team can't do anything about that). The location of the restaurant right on the water and the lift bridge is still unbeatable. We would like to come again.

After about 40 km by bike we arrived here - great weather, food and service. Great view right on the water. We had pike perch with asparagus, Iberico with asparagus and cake. Everything was very tasty and beautifully served. The restaurant is at a higher price level, but it is still worth it.

Spontan mit 6 Personen an einem Feiertag kann schwierig sein. War sehr gut reserviert, wir hatten aber Glück mit etwas Geduld einen Tisch zu bekommen. Modernes, dennoch gemütliches Ambiente unmittelbar am Fluss mit historischer Zugbrücke. Sehr flinker, aufmerksamer Service - herzlich und dennoch stilgerecht! Tapasplatte für Zwei als Hauptgericht ergab einen spannenden Eindruck in teils unbekannte Geschmackswelten. Auch die anderen Speisen waren sehr gut. Allein die Trüffelcreme mit einer Art Pommes, ein Gedicht! Preise gehoben, aber völlig berechtigt. Super Erlebnis, wir kommen wieder!

The location and ambience are really excellent. The lounges on the jetty are great for comfortably enjoying a beer and the beautiful view. The staff is friendly and also attentive. We only had a sweet dessert, coffee and beer. Everything was very tasty, but I think the prices are a bit too high (€4.30 for a 0.3 draft beer), so I deducted one star

We were in the restaurant, the ambience was great, customer friendliness was great, but since I was there with three children I asked the service staff to put our food together. Customer-friendly, so to speak, because the customer is king, I thought, but I was immediately put off, the answer was no, that's not possible, so I thought okay 😕that's not so customer-oriented 😔 I found that a real shame. The rooms are very clean, unfortunately the bathrooms are a bit small. The cuisine is excellent. If we are traveling to the Mecklenburg Lake District again, we will definitely book at the Fackelgarten again. We felt very, very comfortable and: the location is also excellent. Every year when I'm in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, I go to the torch garden. Great ambience, modern furnishings with very interesting accessories. I think that says it all. The food is excellent and the staff is super, super nice. Breakfast right by the river in the sun, what could be nicer.

Nice modern rooms. Staff very friendly. Dogs are also welcome at breakfast. I ate the Torchgarten Schnitzel. Simply super delicious. We are completely satisfied. Again any time.

Die Qualität der Speisen hat uns so überzeugt, dass wir in 3 Tagen direkt 2-mal dort Essen waren. Die Wein-Empfehlungen zum Essen waren top. Für unseren verunsicherten Hund wurde extra der ruhigste Tisch im Restaurant für uns reserviert. Wer in der Region um Plau am See verweilt, sollte unbedingt einmal dort vorbeischauen.

Ein perfekter Aufenthalt ! Sehr schönes Hotel / Familienunternehmen mit zentraler Lage. Absolut zu empfehlen ist das Frühstück und das Restaurant, wir waren kulinarisch begeistert ! Service super freundlich, Hotel sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir kommen sicher wieder. Hatten den Bärenwald in Müritz besucht und sind mit unserem Hund angereist.

Wir kamen ermattet vom Meeting und bekamen (unangemeldet) einen der letzten Tische. Schöne Karte, das Ambiente stimmt. Die Wirtin ist direkt, souverän und mit einem feinen Humor ausgestttet. Das Essen toppte alles. Feine Kost, sehr schön angerichtet.

Sehr schönes Lokal direkt am Wasser. Ungemütlich. Speisen und Getränke sind top, das Servicepersonal ist spitze. Ein Ort an dem man die Seele baumeln lasen kann.

Wir hatten 3 wundervolle Tage im Hotel Fackelgarten. Das Appartement war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, hatte einen tollen Blick auf die Elde und es fehlte uns an nichts. Das Personal ist sehr nett und erfüllt den Gästen jeden Wunsch. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das fantastische Frühstück!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben hier sehr gut zu Mittag gegessen. Das Essen war sehr gut angerichtet und der Geschmack war abwechslungsreich.

Tolles Zimmer (ob wohl alle schimpfen zu klein) für uns reicht das. Wir sind eine Woche hier und völlig ausreichend. Ventilator und Ablage im Zimmer ist ausreichend vorhanden. Im Bad fehlt allerdings wirklich ein bisschen Ablage. Super Frühstück, mal ganz was anderes, aber ganz tolle Idee. Parkplätze sind vorhanden und ja die muß man bezahlen was eigentlich fast überall so ist. Wir können das Hotel und das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen.

Heute waren wir hier essen und wurden fantastisch bedient. Obwohl ich unter diversen Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten leide, habe ich ein sehr schön angerichtetes und sehr gut schmeckendes Essen bekommen und brauchte mir überhaupt keine Sorgen machen. Alle waren sehr lieb und haben wirklich auf alles geachtet. Dazu ist es ein sehr schön eingerichtetes und gemütliches Restaurant. Man kann hier wunderbar drinnen wie draußen die Zeit und sein Essen genießen. Die Küche ist gehoben und die Preise sind angemessen.Wir werden sicherlich gern wieder hier her kommen und können es jedem empfehlen hier essen zu gehen.

Von Lage und Essen eins der bester Restaurants in Plau am See. Moderne Einrichtung, teilweise sehr freundliches und erfahrenes Personal und eine gute, kreative Küche im Hot Spot des Ortes an der Elde.

Sehr gelobt, schwierig einen Tisch zu bestellen und dann war es ok, aber nicht überraschend gut. Würde ich wieder versuchen.
