The Village Food and More in Düsseldorf

The people there were super nice. The food and recommended drinks were also very good. We really enjoy going there.

Found this location near to Novotel Dusseldorf. Well maintained and yes they do have menu in English if you cant read the local language. Food was good but a bit uncooked for my taste . Rest they have good service.

We had actually planned a nice dinner. Before we even entered the restaurant, one of our friends asked that her meat not be cooked on the same grill as pork or pork products. This request was initially accepted. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, our friend also expressed a desire for her meat to be grilled using separate tongs or a fork. The restaurant owner reacted extremely angrily and spoke to us in a very rude tone. Some members of our group subsequently left the restaurant. The owner turned off the grills, cleared the meat, and informed us that we could only order à la carte. I can accept a lot of things, including a potentially stressful workday, but I got the impression that the owner showed no understanding of religious beliefs and was deliberately acting in an exclusionary manner. I would like to expressly exclude the service staff. They were very friendly and attentive from start to finish. However, the owner's behavior was, in my opinion, unprofessional and disappointing.

We had registered as a group for the barbecue and had specifically requested in advance that a separate barbecue be arranged for three of our colleagues who don't eat pork for religious reasons. This was confirmed during the reservation. Our seminar leader politely pointed this out again on site. The alleged boss (Mike?) then came to our table, immediately became rude, and said in a harsh tone, something like, "Because of the three Muslims who registered, I'm not going to let anything get to me – I have to protect myself – the barbecue is canceled." Instead, we were supposed to order à la carte. This statement was not only completely unprofessional, but also discriminatory and disrespectful. I have never experienced such a derogatory reaction to a previously agreed request. Very disappointing! PS: The service was very friendly and excellent!

We celebrated a birthday in the Village, the food was delicious, everything freshly prepared, the service was really nice and accommodating and child-friendly. The food is very good and can only be recommended...in summer there is a huge terrace and there is also a small playground on the premises, this restaurant is simply perfect for families. Thanks to the Village team for the great day.

I ate really very well. There was a weekly menu and a regular menu with a reasonable selection of dishes. There was also enough vegetarian selection on offer. I had the pasta with scampi from the weekly menu and was very pleased that it was described on the menu as having a tomato stock and not the annoying cream sauce that is often served elsewhere. The pasta and scampi were on point, the stock was tasty. I chose a side salad that was dressed in a light dressing. It also tasted really good. There was a small bread basket with dip and olives on the house. This gastronomy really convinced me. Nice service, friendly service, great food and a value for money that you have to look for. I felt very comfortable.

International cuisine with a Greek twist at the hockey club in Düsseldorf at Seestern. Particularly worth mentioning is the courteous staff. Meals not too big with reasonable price-performance ratio. In addition to standard dishes, a changing weekly menu. You don't find it that often. Modern and brightly furnished restaurant with a large terrace.

The staff is extremely friendly and funny, the restaurant was very busy, but everything ran smoothly. We were there with several people and we all received food at the same time. Kudos to the kitchen for this coordination. The taste was also excellent, the selection was great and varied. It wasn't the first time I was there and certainly not the last time ;-)

Our food was cold and rather tasteless. Unfortunately, the lady in service didn't ask either during the meal or after the meal. I definitely wouldn't eat there again.

Absolute top gastronomy in Düsseldorf. And with Schumacher Alt the best that Düsseldorf has to offer. It was a perfect summer party in a great atmosphere. Gladly again 👍

Sensational! Super nice staff, great service, extremely good value for money and very fine food. What more do you want? Had the Calvados chicken, the apple pieces were still really crunchy and the sauce was very creamy. Dessert from the display case. I wouldn't expect it in a club restaurant. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Great food and the service is very friendly

The restaurant is located directly next to a hockey pitch or tennis court. The ambience is very nice both inside and outside. Prices are in the mid-normal range and the quality is correspondingly good.

Very big portion, teste good, prices are really low based on what you get. In you are hungry and around go ahead, you will be not disappointed!

Chic restaurant and not just a sports restaurant! The waitresses were very nice and polite! There were "only" 2 service staff present, but the drinks and food came super quickly. The dining room was well filled. There was also sport on a TV. The food was very good and the portion was absolutely sufficient, even a bit too much. You will definitely get full here. 3 beers and a Pinsa (comparable to a pizza) were around €22.

Ein gutes griechisches Restaurant. Kleine Wahl mit Wochekarte Menu, allerdings immer gut gekocht und lecker. Portionen sind ausreichend. Ich finde es interessant, dass man hier auch traditionelle griechische Gerichte essen kann und nicht nur die typische klassische "souvlaki", "bifteki" usw.

The Village Food and More ist mitten am Seestern in Düsseldorf. Um dieses Restaurant besuchen zu können, müsst ihr den Düsseldorfer Hockey Club besuchen. Hierzu gehört wohl das Restaurant auch. Nicht nur die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich sogar einige Mitglieder, die einem auch "guten Appetit" wünschen. Es ist sehr ungezwungen hier und es spielt keine Rolle, ob man mit einem Anzug kommt oder mit FlipFlops. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt sehr gut. Eine sehr gute Location. Ruhig gelegen mit vielen Sitzplätzen im Außenbereich. Von den einzelnen Hotels am Seestern ist der Fußweg etwa 5 Minuten. Ich werde in Zukunft auf jeden Fall öfter hierher kommen und kann es jedem nur empfehlen. 👍👍👍👍

Muy buena comida lamentablemente el servicio no está acorde con la comida ni el espacio, malas caras permanentes, malos modos. A lo mejor es un tema cultural o un error de comunicación pero con un servicio así en mi país no duran ni dos días. Ha sido lo peor de nuestro viaje. Hemos estado varios días y el último al no sentirnos bien tratados ni recibidos nos hemos ido.

Das war das beste Rumpsteak das ich für den Preis je gegessen habe. Die Desserts waren alle unglaublich gut. Das Personal war super freundlich und ist auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
