Overall very disappointing experience. It's way too overpriced for the quantity and taste. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. In terms of taste it was below average for our palate a 2/5 and with the prices on top it was actually almost a 1/5. We ordered: - Spaghetti Bolognese 3/10: very standard. You can do it at home too - Vegetarian starter platter 7/10: was ok, not much. Eggplant in cream cheese was delicious. - Schnitzel: 4/10 very standard, there are much better alternatives like Münstermann and almost outrageous for the price - Truffle ravioli: 5/10 price and embarrassed by the quantity. Taste ok. Sounds much better than it tastes - Pinsa 4/10: very standard, there are significantly better ones - Lobster soup: only cream, the taste here is also too standard / boring

We actually wanted to go to a neighboring restaurant, but we didn't like it visually. So (luckily) we ended up stranded here completely by chance. The welcome was incredibly friendly and genuine, not at all arrogant, as is often the case in Düsseldorf. The food was really perfect, starter, intermediate course, main course, everything was wonderful and with a slightly Persian flavor. But only a slight influence, which we liked because you can order from an extensive wine list and everything is quite Mediterranean, but with that special touch. Fantastic pasta! Ravioli filled with lobster, sensational! When I said in passing that it was my wife's birthday while paying, they even brought us a dessert on the house. Here you can feel in every little fiber that the boss is on site and works with his heart and soul together with his people. The best restaurant stay for us in a long time! Food was very good, service was very courteous and attentive! We had a nice time outside in the summer, right on the street, but it wasn't too loud! So everything was great and really recommended!

I went to the restaurant for dinner. I ordered their Spätzle with truffle sauce. It was amazing. They also have wide arrays of superb wine in their collection. I want to try other dishes when I'll come back next.

Not cheap, but worth it! The lobster stuffed ravioli with lobster saffron sauce is excellent and I will have it again next time. This time we skipped the starter and instead chose desserts, which were also convincing. It's very nice to sit outside, because of the plants it's like in a little garden.

You probably always get the bread when you order food. I had the vegetarian antipasti platter which was very tasty. The grape leaves are stuffed with rice. The cool drinks are not alcohol-free but only a non-alcoholic Hugo or homemade lemonade. But I haven't tried it. The bread was definitely homemade with a bit of zucchini (?) in it, super tasty! The restaurant is decorated very chic inside. Despite the street, you can sit comfortably outside between flowers and olive trees

The two of us had our first meal in the Massi Bar that evening and we were definitely impressed. The starter was so delicious that you were just looking forward to what came next. The ambience is simple and chic and you feel comfortable. The service was great! The price wasn't cheap but absolutely reasonable for what you get for it. All in all a very nice evening.

Wir waren am Ostersonntag zu fünft zu einem late Lunch im Massi. Es ist nicht so einfach, Restaurants zu finden, die Sonntags am Nachmittag Essen servieren. Wir wurden angenehm überrascht. Obwohl bei unserem Eintreffen noch Mittagstrubel herrschte, gab es am Service nichts auszusetzen. Unserem Wunsch entsprechend, wurden 5 Vorspeisen in der Mitte des Tisches platziert, so dass wir quer durch die Speisekarte probieren konnten. Die Starter waren ausgezeichnet. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die Falafel, die Calamari und die persische Vorspeise. Die Hauptgerichte waren ebenfalls alle gut, die Küche spart auch nicht mit der Würze, was unserem Geschmack entspricht. Die paar Trüffescheibchen auf den Fritten zu den Moules Frites waren entbehrlich, aber die Fritten und Muscheln waren sehr gut. Zum Schluss gab es noch eine sehr französische Apfeltarte mit haugemachtem Eis. Dazu eine gute Weinauswahl und ein freundlicher Service, der Theke und Bedienung im Alleingang erledigen musste. Wie waren alle sehr zufrieden und haben das Massi künftig auf dem Schirm.

Been there twice and yet couldn’t get enough of the delicious foods and drinks and nice atmosphere! If you visit beautiful Düsseldorf, you wouldn’t miss your chance to try Massi’s house! As for drinks, I ordered 3 or 4 times the red Jin! Just to wow!! Also, for appetizer, I tried Cappuccino vom Hummer mit persischem Safran, and repeated it another night too, cause the strong taste of it was sth that you would like to remember with all the details! Also the gegrillte Baby Calamari was so good! For the main dish, just go for the Steak! You’ll experience the best taste out of a meat. Just recommend it and I’m a big fan from now on in every travel there

Delicious and presentation is great!

Nice restaurant, chic and rather dark. Attentive service, the dishes came really quickly, even though all three were homemade pasta. It was served beautifully and tasted good. What should be highlighted are the sauces, which are not heavy on the stomach and still give the noodles the texture they need. The drinks were all very good and good value for money. It may not be the first restaurant we would recommend if someone in Dus asked, but definitely not a visit to regret. Not that many tables inside, reservation recommended if you want to go at peak time.

Incredible restaurant. Nicely decorated, very cozy and elegant atmosphere, it makes you feel good as soon as you enter. We had lamb chops for the main course and the meat was tender and super tasty. The falafels and hummus that come with the chops were beautiful too. Even the salad sauces were great. For dessert, the pistachio tiramisu was a great discovery, the sponge in it was amazing, it was one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef(s) for everything. The service was also perfect, our waiter was really nice and made sure everything was fine for us the whole time. This was our first night in Germany, what a great start of the holidays! If you’re reading the reviews right now, you can stop and go to Massi, it’ll be worth it.

We had planned to eat somewhere else which was full, and when checking my maps I rediscovered this saved place. And thank goodness for that! The restaurant is relatively small and unassuming, but the dishes are very flavorful and creative. Everything we ate was absolutely perfect and delicious. The presentation made the food almost too pretty to eat! I can recommend the salmon tartar, lobster ravioli, Entrecote, and the desserts. The wine menu is also HUGE and the rosé I chose was delicious. Service very warm and personable. Although it's small, it is not too loud and the music is very nice. Although the prices are a bit higher, it's more than reasonable considering the quality and taste. Highly recommended! It's been a while since I've had such a perfect dining experience. Thank you to the Massi team for making our night!

2. Update January 20, 2024 We went to Massi's a third time and I told our friends in advance that the food was good and the service could be improved. Unfortunately that was the case this time too. When I made my reservation, I was informed of a time slot. Apart from the fact that this hardly exists in good restaurants anymore and only gives the impression of maximizing profits, I went for it and confirmed it with my reservation. When we arrived we weren't greeted in a friendly way, we were only told that we should leave after 2 hours. This really has a bad aftertaste. Especially since some tables remained empty shortly before 8 p.m. We waited 15 minutes for the drinks order to be taken, but they came quickly. The Aperol was a little warm, the wines well chilled. The greeting from the kitchen came without explanation, but was good. A dip would round things off. It can happen that the service tipped over a drink, but a replacement came immediately. The starters were top notch in terms of products and presentation. Unfortunately a bit manageable, value for money if you think about it at 20 euros... the main courses were also very good, especially super hot. Spaetzle with truffle and beef, medium. Top! Mussels and lamb were also delicious. The prices have increased and the dishes have become smaller compared to the last visit. We paid 220 euros for 2 starters, 4 main courses, 3x Aperol, a soft drink and 2 glasses of wine. We girls were a bit cold too. The ambience is nice, but unfortunately the overall package has a few drawbacks... it's a shame. Update: we were guests again yesterday and were pleasantly surprised, the audience has changed positively, no longer felt time pressure, fantastic food, larger portions. Very good wine. It was our first time in Massi and we were impressed by the menu. Unfortunately, the advice about only being allowed to sit for 2 hours was not ideal. An evening with good wine and friends you haven't seen for a long time shouldn't be limited. We then sat outside and were able to stay longer. Other guests received heaters and blankets, which would have been nice. We chose starters, main course and dessert, everything was very well presented. Salt and pepper on the table would have been good too. The wine was good, the service attentive. There were three of us and we paid €240.00 for three courses and two bottles of wine and water. That's absolutely fine. You get enjoyment, the olives as a starter were also very good.

We went here on a Tuesday evening without reservation. Good thing they still had one table free for us! We were lucky. The food was real amazing. The baby calamaris had this charcoal aroma und were perfectly seasoned. The texture was perfect. The entrecôte was perfectly medium grilled. We also got the lamb chop and the fish. They were all served tastefully, great taste, great presentation and of course nice service. I’ll make sure to come back and try the whole menu, cause they all sound very interesting.

Die zwei Sterne sind für das schön angerichtete Essen. Leider gibt es keine weiteren Sterne, da der Service katastrophal ist. Man ist weder in der Lage Empfehlungen zu geben, noch Alternativen bei Unverträglichkeiten anzubieten. Außerdem wird man trotz Reservierung nach weniger als 2 Stunden rausgeschmissen. Hinzu kommt, dass man nicht viel für sein Geld bekommt. Das Essen sieht zwar schön aus und schmeckt auch, aber die Portionen sind sehr klein. Keine Empfehlung von uns!

Super Essen, tolle Weine, aber bitte! Was für ein Service! Da vergeht einem die Freude am Essen. Inhalte passen nicht zum Rest. Schreckliches Erlebnis. Total schade. Essen war super!

Mit großen Erwartungen wollten wir ein neues Restaurant ausprobieren und sowohl die Speisekarte als auch die Bewertungen sahen vielversprechend aus. Der Service war vorerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, im Laufe des Abends wurden wir jedoch mehr und mehr ignoriert. Ich fange mit den Vorspeisen an. Wir mögen Jakobsmuscheln, gerne auch nicht zu durchgebraten. Die 3 Jakobsmuscheln auf dem Teller waren jedoch leider fast roh und das Wort „karamellisiert“ offensichtlich sehr unterschiedlich zu verstehen. Auf dieser Vorspeise wurden die "karamellisierten" Aprikosenhälften roh mit Karamellsauce, die durchaus der von Starbucks ähnelte, serviert. Yuzu Perlen und Hummerschaum suchten wir vergeblich auf dem Teller. Ich freute mich auf ein neues Geschmackserlebnis und bestellte die Baby Calamari auf Waldorf Salat mit Thai Basilikum Pesto. Dem Waldorf Salat fehlten sowohl die Äpfel als auch die Walnüsse und man drapierte lediglich geriebenen Sellerie mit Schmand auf der Tellermitte. Das Pesto war sicherlich nicht Thai und als ich mich traute dies zu hinterfragen, wurde vehement abgestritten, dass dies ein normales Basilikum Pesto sei. Leider ging es mit den Hauptspeisen weiter wie es mit den Vorspeisen begonnen hatte. Auch hier freute ich mich auf ein hoch qualitatives Steak Tatar. Dies lies leider auf sich warten. Es war „Ok“, es fehlte jedoch jegliche Finesse und ich habe besseres Tatar im Brauhaus gegessen zum Viertel des Preises gegessen. Das Beste an der Hauptspeise waren die Pommes und da lagen drei Scheibchen Trüffel verloren auf den knusprigen Kartoffeln. Die "hausgemachten" Ravioli schwammen traurig in einer schweren Sahnesauce und es ist schade, dass man versucht braune Pilze für Steinpilze zu verkaufen. Auch der nicht ganz frisch aussehende Trüffel rechtfertigte leider nicht den Preis der Speise. Die Füllung der Ravioli schmeckte teilweise sauer und beide Hauptspeisen konnten wir vor Enttäuschung nicht zu Ende essen. Hervorzuheben ist die Weinkarte. Hier sind wir zumindest fündig geworden. Auf ein Dessert haben wir verzichtet. Wir geben gerne Geld für gutes Essen aus. In diesem Fall müssen wir bedauerlicherweise sagen, dass die Speisen die hohen Preise nicht gerechtfertigten. Schade!

Selten so lecker gegessen, wir hatten die große Vorspeisenplatte und mit Hummer gefüllte Ravioli mit Hummersafransauce - geschmacklich hervorragend. Ich würde es als mediterane Küche mit orientalischen Einschlag bezeichnen. Sowohl in der Interpretation der Gerichte als auch in der "Tellersprache" sehr modern. Service sehr zuvorkommend. Ambiente gemütlich chic. Alles in allem - wir kommen definitiv wieder - einfach nur köstlich.

Wir hatten im Massi zum wiederholten Male ein phantastisches 3 Gänge Essen mit guten Weinen und hervorragendem und liebevollem Service! Absolute Empfehlung!

The restaurant is located in a street where many other restaurants are available. However Massi Bar is a very neat place. I spend a good time on the terrace. Luckily the traffic was not heavy on the street, so that one was able to enjoy the terrace at its best. I have ordered a shrimp, loup de mer with beetroot risotto. All was served hot, well arranged on tbe plate. The taste was absolutely meeting what the eye saw. Very delicious and tasty although the combination was a kind of unusual. I have finished with a tiramisu tiramisu. Nice dessert too. However the main plate was at another level. My espresso was served in a real nice thick cup. Excellent 👍 🙏 I have just one conclusion: It is a good restaurant offering good food and service at a regular price. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant 🍴 👍

Fantastisches Essen mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Jedes Gericht wird liebevoll zubereitet, angerichtet und weiß auch geschmacklich absolut zu überzeugen. Das Ambiente wirkt ungezwungen und casual. Der Service ist zurückhaltend freundlich.

Es war phänomenal! Ein Genuss! Das Ambiente, das freundliche Personal, die tollen Gerichte, die mit viel Kreativität und Leidenschaft zubereitet werden - absolut klasse! Preislich daher auch in Ordnung für diese Qualität. Große Auswahl an Weinen und anderen Getränken. Küche ist leicht persisch / arabisch angehaucht. Wir waren super zufrieden und kommen definitiv wieder.
