So we were there, but the shop must have closed?! I couldn't reach anyone on the phone either... it was a complete waste of time.

We’ve been coming to get their potatoes, but in the result they were closed. No warnings provided. Feels bad.

I drive here for over an hour with trains that are completely overcrowded and then it's closed. We live in the age of technology and you don't even update your opening hours? How unprofessional is that!

I didn't think the boys were very correct and a bit cheeky, so there was a lack of professionalism and for a moment I thought I was on the street and young people were looking at me askance (the boys). Food was ok, you could have had it once, but wouldn't go there again.

Not open. Came at 3:15pm and there is no one there. Google says open from 12pm but that's wrong.

I just ate there and was really satisfied. The employee was very friendly and polite. The food was very good in terms of taste and price. Highly recommended👍🏼

The food is delicious. Unfortunately the delivery service leaves a lot to be desired. Out of three orders, one arrived with the wrong dishes, one of the portions was obviously too small and for today's order the delivery was first confirmed via Lieferando and after 1 1/2 hours of waiting the order was then cancelled. We accepted the long waiting time because it was really delicious, but canceling after such a long waiting time is very frustrating and there is no good shop left where you can order delicious food. Very unfortunate, the store has potential.

The food yesterday at “The Potato” was really great. It tasted great, the portions were more than enough and the price was really fair. The friendly staff ensures that you immediately feel at home and are happy to come back. Was our first and not last visit to the Potato. Anyone who likes to eat well should stop by here. Small but nice fits it quite well! The food is very tasty and highly recommended for potato fans. You can order it to take away or eat in. Unfortunately you cannot pay by card, only via PayPal or in cash.

Very, very nice and courteous employees! The food was super delicious! And prepared very quickly. The portion is very large (the price is therefore absolutely justified!). Recommendation: Swedish Standard The shop is a bit small, there is space for about 8 people inside and 5 people outside. The good food makes the visit definitely worth it! Vegan and vegetarian options are also available :-) Chilled drinks are also available.

You eat enough in portions, I couldn't even finish my plate and had to ask for a take away. It tastes good too and there are even vegetarian options. The staff is really fantastic! I'm from Luxembourg and when I'm in the area again I'll definitely stop by again.

I've eaten at the potato several times in a row now. Every time the food was fantastic. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. The store is hygienic and clean. Everything is just great! I get my food here once a week.

Tasty! We took Swedish and Mexican - both were tasty and large portions. But there is no toilet here! Plan for this when visiting, there is not even anywhere to wash your hands. This caused me great inconvenience

Went there for the first time yesterday and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think you could get so much out of a potato. We once had a bowl in which the mashed potatoes formed an incredibly delicious symbiosis with the melted cheese and were also refined with toppings and the delicious mushroom cream sauce. We also had the fries with the truffle mayonnaise and the shaved parmesan. This was truly a delight for my taste buds. Finally, we shared sweet potato fries with flambéed marshmallows, just like we know from the States. It probably won't be my favorite dish, but it's worth trying, especially if you're into American experiments. The staff were very nice and accommodating, so we felt really comfortable even with two small children. Maybe you could at least buy a high chair for the future. All in all, it was a really pleasant, delicious experience. I can't wait to order something else from the pretty varied menu on my next visit. I already have my eye on the bowl with the Köttbular.

Our experience was utterly disappointing. We got the Crazy Chicken to go. Only when I got to my hotel room did I realize there was no cutlery in the bag. Worked around that asking reception for some - luckily staff was helpful bc kitchen was closed at the time. About the dish itself. The listed ingredients are chicken, spinach cream, hollandaise sauce and mozzarella cheese. The mashed potato itself was totally bland. I’d hoped there would be some secret seasoning to take it up a notch but no. Few pieces of unseasoned white chicken breast, not flavorful. Little hollandaise sauce. No cheese whatsoever. Too much spinach cream. One of my favorite dishes is mashed potato but this one fell short, unfortunately. I saw a post on Instagram about this place and that’s what made me want to go there. But what we got and the dish depicted in the post were worlds apart.

The staff is super nice but one request to you is to pay attention to hygiene people and always prepare the things fresh and don't leave them there for days. I had a total stomach ache, nausea and a damn disgusting stabbing in my stomach after eating. If 1-2 people go to the doctor and report it, it doesn't look so good for you, it's not meant to be bad at all, it's a very cool concept in itself but fresh products and more hygienic Cleaning the workplace and equipment properly is a must and should always be checked by the shop owner. Please don't save on throwing away your products if they are left over or give them away to the homeless instead of throwing them away instead of keeping and selling them for more days. Please make something of it, I would like to come back

Great concept with very friendly staff. Here you can eat healthy and delicious food, and there is also something for children. I like it!

Very tiny place but their bowls are the besttt!! Be sure to come before lunch/dinner time/feierabend cause otherwise you won’t get a seat. I got mine to go because the place was full (around 5:30-6 PM). For the price & portion, it was worth it and the food still tasted very good after ~30 min transport. Would definitely recommend!

Food was OK, but three pomegranate seeds in a bowl that advertises them is pretty weak. Overall, not enough dips & side dishes. The relationship wasn't right at all. Goes better.

If you are a fan of cold food, like to only pay in cash and eat vegan meatballs without sauce, this is the right place for you. Our lunch experience was very disappointing. We found the concept of all kinds of potatoes very convincing, but the frozen fries didn't make the boring mashed potatoes any better. Vegan food was difficult to find, even though many options were advertised, and everything tasted rather bland.

We had Mexican style twice. Unfortunately the pep was missing. The potatoes probably tasted more like potatoes and the chili was also flat and watery. Only the jalapeños were spicy. The nachos were also sticky. And then €25. Sorry. We were promised much more.

I was very happy with my order. I ordered the potato bowl with chicken, spinach and hollandaise sauce and was surprised at how delicious it tasted. It tasted very well together. If you also pay attention to a healthy diet, you really can't go wrong in the store. I can only recommend it.

In itself a good concept with various potato dishes in bowl form, a nice change from the “typical” food options when going out. Unfortunately, that was it. We ordered two bowls (Crazy Chicken and Swedish Standard), none of them were really warm, some individual components were completely cold. The taste of the food was ok, but in the end I had potatoes with spinach and a ready-made hollandaise sauce for the Crazy Chicken Bowl. I think €10 is too expensive for that. We're also not entirely sure whether our vegan option was actually vegan (the employee seemed a bit overwhelmed by it and from the look, taste and texture, I suspect it was real meat). The shop is small, so that doesn't have to be a problem. Unfortunately, it is very hot and the humidity is high, so it is rather uncomfortable to sit there for long periods of time. The service was ok, but a friendly “hello” or at least a half-baked smile would have been nice. Card payment was not possible, we were offered cash or Paypal. It's a shame that the concept is actually good, but some areas still need to be reworked.

A super friendly service, And our kötbullar version was very tasty and the portion was big enough to fill you up! The prices are absolutely right too! It's worth a visit!

Hello, I ordered from you and you made a mistake. Unfortunately I can't reach you any other way. I ordered the Swedish version and chose goulash as an extra. Only goulash came. No köttbular or sauce whatsoever. This is very sad and essential parts of the order were missing. It's a shame that I put my trust in your store, I'm very disappointed.

Delicious !!! We have been here several times and tried different dishes 👍👍👍 Since everything is freshly prepared and there are other people in the world, there is sometimes a waiting time that is actually not worth mentioning. We love this food 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

A bit pricey for the potion but the rest is super

We had the Swedish bowl and were very happy with it. It tasted very good and the portion was very large. The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately only cash payment possible. The shop is very small and makes a rather “cold” and not so clean impression. We would like a little more comfort and cleanliness. The floor and walls towards the kitchen/behind the counter looked dirty. Unfortunately, the glass panes on the front counter were also a bit dirty. A spring cleaning would do the store a lot of good :)

Not recommended: hot and cramped in the shop, only half of the dishes available on Sunday evenings, no card payment, chaotic service. It's better to cook it yourself at home.

It's a very small shop for take away food perfect for eating there rather difficult with about 2 1/2 tables. The dish I would have liked to have was already sold out at 7 p.m., the second choice was delicious but for me it lacked salt, not that bad, too much salt is unhealthy anyway, but I think it's a bit too much potato for little topping, if you want extra Of course you pay for extras, but I don't know whether the price/performance ratio is right. Don't know if I would order food there again🤷🏼‍♀️ All the dishes are vegetarian and some are vegan!

Great service, the food was also great, I can only recommend it. If you don't eat here, you're really missing out. It was definitely worth it, I would do it again. You definitely won't regret it.

A poem! I haven't eaten something so surprisingly delicious in a long time! Everything was right, the composition of the ingredients was simply a treat for the palate. Unfortunately, the shop was extremely dirty and therefore the place seemed very unhygienic. The drinks are not chilled. No card payment possible. The food itself was good and tasty. It filled us up very well, but we would have liked more of the vegan balls and sauce.

Ordered Crazy Chicken and Swedish Standard. Unfortunately the crazy chicken was more spinach than chicken, I think there weren't enough chicken pieces and there could have been one more component. The other bowl could have had a little more peas for the price. Otherwise you get full and it's something different.

I had ordered food here via TGTG and had already paid for it, but when I arrived (5 minutes earlier) the shop was closed... very annoying when you set off at 9 p.m. in the evening

My review is constructive criticism, because I think it has potential. The potatoes had no seasoning at all, the spinach sauce wasn't very good, the mozzarella didn't come, the chicken was pale and very pale, with no seasoning either. It was bad. If you improve the seasonings and quantities, the quality will be much better.

We had the Crazy Chicken Bowl and the Swedish Standard Bowl. Both ordered vegan, unfortunately vegan cheese was not in stock, but ok. The food was prepared very quickly. Unfortunately, the Crazy Chicken Bowl was more of a spinach bowl, so very few vegan chicken pieces, which I think is a bit small for the price. The other one could have had a little more peas. I always got full. Another small point of criticism: card payment is not possible. This is a pity. The concept itself is cool, but there could be a few more ingredients and a few more fresh extras.

Eines der besten kleinen Restaurants in Sachen Kartoffeln und Sympathie! Die Gerichte mit Fleisch sind Halal und wenn man kein Fleisch ist, keine Sorge, es gibt zu eigentlich jedem Essen eine mindestens Vegetarische Alternative. Der Inhaber ist super! Da der Laden verdienterweise rappelvoll war (ca. 8-10 Sitzplätze aber über 50 Gäste/Bestellungen innerhalb 70 Minuten) mussten wir etwas warten, aber durch die netten Unterhaltungen mit den Mitarbeitenden und Gästen war dies kein Problem. Dies wird unser Stammlokal in Sachen Kartoffeln (das Köttbullar ist nahezu perfekt) Wir waren extrem positiv überrascht.. Wir waren so vom Essen überzeugt, dass wir anfangs das Foto vergaßen. Essen war echt lecker und vom Gefühl her qualitativ ganz gut, aber 30 Minuten auf seine einfache Kartoffel Bowl zu warten war etwas lange für meinen Geschmack. Darüber hinaus war es sehr kalt in dem Laden. Ansonsten top Konzept und ich komme wieder wenn es nächstes mal etwas schneller geht :) (laden war nicht voll)

Kleiner, gemütlicher Laden. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und fair. Der Besitzer des Ladens ist, auch wenn er eher stoisch wirkt, sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Er hat mir sogar ein Getränk aufs Haus gegeben. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Wahnsinnig lecker und mal was Anderes! Wir haben vor kurzem dort bestellt und wir hatten verschiedene „Kartoffelstampf-Variationen“ und alle waren super lecker und stimmig. Wir werden definitiv von The Potato nochmal essen.

Ich mag die Bowls von dem kleinen, feinen Laden. Hab schon die meisten ausprobiert und hatte nur was schmackhaftes in der Schüssel. I❤️it! Hoffentlich bleibt The Potato länger als die Vorgänger.🙏

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Schönes Ambiente mit sehr leckerem und angenehmen Essen.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und auch direkt bedient. Der Service war top unsere Bestellungen wurden fix zubereitet. Es gab für jeden von uns was auf der Speisekarte zur Auswahl. Sehr schönes ruhiges Ambiente, welches dafür sorgt, dass man sich ruhig unterhalten kann und sein Essen genüsslich verzehrt. Das Fleisch dort ist auch halal🙌🏻 Es war definitiv nicht unser letzter Besuch bei euch!

Essen ist lecker, aber die Vegan-Labels sind etwas irreführend. Es war schon zum zweiten Mal so, dass wir vegan bestellt haben und dann gefragt wurden, Ob wir die nicht-veganen Zutaten haben oder weglassen wollen. Die Alternativen wurden dann erst auf Nachfrage zubereitet. Wenn ich ein ausgeschrieben veganes Gericht bestelle, würde ich schon ein vollständiges Essen erwarten, nicht eins, wo ich Soße und Käse weglassen muss.

Ich war kürzlich in diesem Restaurant und war beeindruckt von der großartigen Geschäftsidee. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, der Ort war sauber und das Essen schmeckte hervorragend. Die vegane Variante der schwedischen Köttbullar war eine gesunde und leckere Abwechslung, die im Nachhinein nicht schwer im Magen liegt, im Gegensatz zu anderem Essen.

Ich hatte Crazy Chicken (Vegan) 11,90 € Mit veganer Sauce Hollandaise, veganem Rahmspinat, veganem Mozzarella und veganem Hähnchen mit champignonsoße und kräuterquark Kleiner Laden, gutes Essen War wirklich sehr lecker. Kann ich nur empfehlen Leider nur Barzahlung.

Zunächst einmal ein schlicht gehaltener kleiner Laden, der ein paar Fensterplätze und vier kleine zweier Tische enthält. Nicht wirklich mega gemütlich und falls die Lüftung in der Küche an ist, zieht es etwas. Dagegen steht: Überaus nettes charmantes Personal, eine sehr leckere Küche, und Portionen die sattmachen, zu einem guten Preis. Für Veganer und Vegetarier wurde sich vom Personal immer nochmal rückversichert, ob z.B. ein Topping gewünscht ist : (ich hatte z.B. ein veganes Essen, ohne darauf hinzuweisen, dass ich vegan esse und wurde gefragt, ob ich eine vegetarische Sauce haben möchte, so dass ich die Chance hatte, hier eingreifen zu können, vielen Dank dafür) Ich komme gerne wieder!

Mein erster Eindruck vom The Potato ist sehr gut - sowohl die Einrichtung als auch das Essen stimmt. Hier speist man behaglich und lecker. Essen kommt immer schnell und die Portionen sind ordentlich. Sehr empfehlenswert 👍

Das Essen ist so unfassbar Lecker!!!! Hab sowas lange nicht mehr gegessen. Bin sehr beeindruckt. Das Essen ist soo frisch und mit so viel Qualität zubereitet. Das Personal ist so freundlich und liebevoll. Wer hier in Köln ist , sofort hier hin!!!!!!!😄 Sonst verpasst ihr wirklich was!!! Ps. die Bowl mit Chicken und Falafal gefallen mir am meisten. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und frisch. Sehr familiäre und saubere Atmosphäre. Durch die vegane Möglichkeit ist für jeden etwas Leckeres dabei. Und wegen der netten Leute werde ich auf jeden Fall öfter vorbeikommen.
