The Ivory Club in Frankfurt am Main

A very pleasant atmosphere and excellent, high-priced food. Unfortunately, the noise level is like that of an Oktoberfest at a packed restaurant! That's a no-go at this price point.

We were there for a private dinner. Everything was absolutely perfect. The location, food, and service were all outstanding. Not cheap, but absolutely worth every cent. A must-do when in Frankfurt.

The food tastes okay but is too expensive. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but the seating is far too close together and so loud that it's almost impossible to have a conversation. Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable, and the staff was rather unfriendly. This was our last visit to the Ivory Club.

Very tasty Indian food in a beautiful, very special atmosphere! Price-performance is ok. When you eat for €300, you don't really want to sit in the middle of a restaurant. The table was very small, so we had to organize ourselves. But we had a wonderful evening!

Super delicious Indian food! In general, the M Group is known for an excellent and super gastronomy “chain” in Frankfurt, I can only agree with that and The IVORY Club scores completely. It's definitely worth a visit, I've been there several times and have never been disappointed!

The food was great but we had to wait one hour and 45 minutes for the food. Others who came after us even got their food first. My Curry-in-a-Hurry was definitely not in a hurry. If you’re willing to wait a long while time then I recommend the place. If time is valuable to you then don’t come to this place.

The absolute top address in Frankfurt! Every visit is a real experience. My absolute favorite restaurant for years – everything is just right here. From the first-class quality of the food to the attentive, professional service to the stylish ambience and the impressive wine culture. A place where enjoyment and hospitality harmonize perfectly.

Great ambience, exclusive and yet not dusty. The food was great, I was recently in Dubai at Atlantis The Palm, it was more expensive there, but not better. Another highlight is the restaurant manager, Ms. Ladjimi, who takes perfect and very friendly care of the guests.

Food is of super quality and service is top notch. They took care of my special request of celebrating my partners bday and brought a cake and candle surprisingly for him. Excellent service and amazing time spent there. 100 stars deserved.

We got to the club around 9pm. We were seated at a table and wanted to order champagne - €180, cocktails, water and chips - there were four of us. Unfortunately we were asked to leave the table because we only wanted to order drinks and no other food. We were not offered a good alternative. The waiter announced this loudly across the room to his manager, causing the entire restaurant to turn around. That was very unpleasant. We wanted to drink good wine, but we had already eaten somewhere else and weren't hungry. There were over five free tables in the room, and our table remained empty too; there was no queue in front of the restaurant. The marketing and customer loyalty are nil, as is the politeness of the waiter. With this customer treatment, I wish the restaurant good luck and success. I will advise my friends and customers away from this place.

Disastrous service. We were asked to leave the establishment because we weren't leaving enough sales. The supervisor agreed with the waiter, although we wanted champagne and cocktails provided alongside snacks because we had already eaten in the restaurant before. We reserved the table at 8:30 p.m. Although we have already been to Ivory, Zenzakan and Mon Amie several times, I do not recommend these restaurants because of these experiences.

Very nice restaurant with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The food was extremely tasty and the price was justified by the quality and, above all, the quantity that was served. However, I have to complain that despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes at the beginning until we were shown to our table. This needs to be handled better. Nevertheless, I would come again.

This was my third visit. The first time was in 2006 or 2007, the second time in October 2024 and the third time in December 2024. Every time was great. This third time, we invited good old friends for dinner and really enjoyed everything. Staff are professional, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Can highly recommend a visit. If you do visit, please show the team operating this fabulous restaurant respect by observing the dress code respect.

It was truly fantastic from start to finish. The food, the ambience, the wine, the service. Many thanks to the many friendly waitresses and the great sommelier. Everything was cordial, neither tense nor forced. I hope I/we can afford this again soon. In terms of price, it is UNFORTUNATELY not feasible for the average earner if you like to “treat yourself a little more” on a weekly basis. Main courses cost just under 30 euros. Yesterday we spent just under 200 euros per person, although the bottle of wine already cost 129 euros, which was absolutely great, I've never had such a delicious Chardonnay before, in my opinion. So thank you again, even a day after the experience, I'm still blown away. Best regards

Updated review from 27.11.2024 Disappointing Service Spoiled Our Special Day I have been a loyal customer of the Ivory Club for several years, visiting for special occasions and bringing clients from work for dinner. The food has always been delicious, and the ambiance is lovely. However, the service during my recent visit for our 10th wedding anniversary was shockingly disappointing and has changed my perception of this restaurant. We visited with my husband and 8-year-old daughter and were attended by a waiter whose behavior was rude and unprofessional. He seemed displeased to see Indian guests in the restaurant, which was quite surprising and disheartening. We ordered drinks, a water bottle, two starters, and two main courses, which we thought was sufficient for two adults and a child. However, the waiter repeatedly pressured us to order more, seemingly irritated by our choice. When the main dishes were delayed, we politely asked if one of them could be brought out sooner as our child was hungry. His response was curt and dismissive, and his tone was unnecessarily harsh. Thankfully, another server, a polite and friendly lady, took over and attended to us for the remainder of our meal. However, the damage was done, and the rudeness of the initial waiter had already spoiled our special day. While the food was as excellent as always, service is just as important as food and ambiance in a fine dining experience. Unfortunately, the lack of respect and warmth we experienced this time has left us deeply disappointed. I cannot recommend this place anymore, especially given similar experiences shared by our friends. Restaurants need to value all their patrons equally, irrespective of their background. Sadly, it seems that Ivory Club does not uphold this standard.

Ambiance, food, service all very nice

The steakhouse far exceeded my expectations! As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm, inviting ambience that was perfect for a relaxed dinner. You can taste the quality of the food. Everything was on point. Greetings to the kitchen. The service was first class. Our servers were attentive and friendly. I will definitely come back!

It was an absolutely terrible experience. The service was appalling, the food was served cold, and the waitstaff were incredibly disrespectful, even raising their voices at us. The managers merely observed without taking any action. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing situation. Even a star is above this place !

Top employees, top interior, top drinks!

The IVORY Club is already legendary. Part of the Mook Group, a restaurant group with unique concepts based on themes and countries. Ivory Club in Indian colonial style. Starters and main menu with fish and meat based Indian dishes, legendary steaks with top quality. Good wine list. Service very friendly and competent.

The food was very tasty, but the lady at the reception was anything but friendly. The shop was empty and I was seated at the wine cabinet in the corner. I then made a reservation online because everything was empty and to see if my friend, who came into the store after me, would be received differently and that's how it was. Then suddenly there were seats available and they didn't even take my jacket away. When I asked the staff about it, they said that the system is controlled by AI. If you're going to leave so much money behind, at least you can provide good service.

Our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. Even though we had reserved a table for 9 p.m., we had to wait a full 45 minutes for our seat. The lady at the reception was extremely arrogant and didn't care much about welcoming us in a friendly manner. Instead, guests who arrived after us were immediately escorted to their tables while we were ignored. The valet service was also terrible. When we dropped off the car, we had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even showed up to take the car. This has already reinforced the bad impression. After 45 minutes of waiting for our table, we finally decided to leave the restaurant. But instead of our car being brought back quickly, we were put off again for 10 minutes. When someone from valet finally showed up, we were just told to get our car out of the garage ourselves. Such poor service is unacceptable. We definitely won't be coming back and can definitely not recommend the restaurant.

I had a great evening at the Ivory Club! The Mango Chicken and Butter Chicken were absolutely delicious and seasoned perfectly. The spicy crunchy ginger prawns were particularly a highlight – so crispy and aromatic! The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is friendly. I can only recommend the restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

Im Ivory Club durften wir einen sehr schönen Abend verleben. Beim Reinkommen wurden wir herzlich empfangen und durften uns mit Hund einen Tisch unter 3 Vorschlägen aussuchen, damit der Hund es gut hat. Kaum hingesetzt, bekam mein Hund Wasser und ich wurde gefragt, ob sie etwas Hundefleisch bekommen darf. Daraufhin kam feines Rinderfilet in kleinen Stücken. Unfaßbar aufmerksam. Mein Hund ist immer in Restaurants willkommen, aber das habe ich noch nie erlebt. Top! Für uns Menschen ging es dann genauso gut weiter weiter. Das Rindertatar war ausgezeichnet, das Curry und das Dessert ebenso. Die Bedienungen waren alle durchweg sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Auch wenn das Preisniveau hier etwas höher liegt, es lohnt sich allemal. Qualität und Service sind bestens!!!! Daher jederzeit wieder - ob mit oder ohne Hund!

Came into Frankfurt on a business trip from Dublin and was invited to dinner here. Really outstanding experience with a comfortable atmosphere. Food was delicious and really tasty. Highly recommend if you in the mood for a curry, even the appetisers were really good. Thank you to the staff for looking after us and compliments to the chef for the tasty meals.

For the longest time, I thought the UK had the best Indian food in all of Europe. That all changed tonight when I tried Frankfurt’s best offering. Tucked right under the deutsche bank towers is The Ivory Club - a dark, alluring glimpse into the finest most flavorful Indian cuisine. The food is spicy and delicious, and some of the cocktails are quite literally on fire. Skip taking out your phone in the dark environment to read the menu and just order what we did: the pani puri, palak paneer, onion bhaji, and butter chicken. Top it all off with garlic naan, a few flaming caipirinhas, and the chocolate mousse - you’ll have yourself quite a night!

Fine dining restaurant with a correspondingly expensive menu. Nice atmosphere, tables are pretty close together. Were there for lunch. Food was ok, but nothing that you can't get in the same quality at the Indian place around the corner.

It wasn’t that busy but the service wasn’t that good. But food wise, they had the one of the best fusion Indian dishes. I loved lamb chops were so soft and tender, perfectly cooked and very well spiced.

It's a stylish restaurant close to Altstadt, it's not obvious from the outside seating area, you should definitely sit inside. We went with a large group of friends, they reserved a round table for us so everyone could join in the communal conversation while enjoying the place. The service was very polite, even though there were many of us, our food arrived at the same time and we did not wait long. Bombastic butter chicken 3/5 Rice 2/5 Pakora baby spinach 5/5 (be sure to try) Naan Butter garlic 5/5 Cruncy Papadam 5/5 The prices are not worth the food, but the atmosphere is satisfying. It can be preferred on special occasions, we had a pleasant evening, overall I recommend it.

Outstanding Indian cuisine restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas, known for its exceptional service. The chicken tandoori along with basmati rice were absolutely fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the naan, raita, and mango chutney. To top it off, the Mango Mess dessert was delightful. I will definitely be returning for another memorable dining experience.

El pollo tandoori junto con arroz basmati fueron absolutamente fantásticos, y disfruté mucho el naan, raita y mango chutney. Para colmo, el postre Mango Mess fue delicioso. Definitivamente volveré para otra experiencia gastronómica memorable.

I finally had time to visit the Ivory Club again. I would particularly like to highlight the cocktail bar, where you can enjoy a good cocktail before dinner. The food was once again excellent and the ambience was unbeatable. In my opinion, the service could be a little more personal.

We actually wanted to go somewhere else but my companion said he loved the Ivory Club. I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of Indian food but this was particularly tasty. We also had a steak that was prepared incredibly well and tender as butter. I would like to come back :)

Excellent cuisine with a very high quality ambience. The car can be left in front of the entrance and will be parked. The waiters were very professional and friendly. We were there with our little son and it was very family friendly.

Ich habe das Rinderfilet mit Palak Spinat ( Pürierter Spinat mit indischen Gewürzen) und Pommes Frites gegessen, meine Frau das Mango Hühnchen. Das Steak wurde wie von mir gewünscht Medium rare serviert. Was soll ich sagen? Es war definitiv eines der besten Steaks, die ich bisher in Europa gegessen habe. Sehr zart, Garstufe genau getroffen - ein Gedicht. Der Spinat ist wahrscheinlich Geschmacksache mit den Gewürzen, mit schmeckt es sehr gut. Das Hühnchen meiner Frau war auch sehr lecker zubereitet. Service ist sehr aufmerksam und nett. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant wirkt durch die dunkle Holzvertäfelung und exotische Accessoires sehr kolonial und sehr stilvoll. Highlight für mich ist das Valetparking - das macht die lästige Parkplatzsuche obsolet. Preise: gehoben aber der Qualität angemessen. Gehe immer wieder gerne hin.

How can a store in 2024 still advertise “colonial cuisine” and have plastic elephant tusks on the doorstep? How uncritical and tasteless do you have to be for that? When I saw the restaurant I really thought it must be a bad joke, there's no way you could be serious. And which people visit such a restaurant?

Good steaks. Regular fillet steaks were no longer available. The service wasn't easy to get, we had to call more often. The ambience is great and the free valet service is a good service on top. Overall, always worth a visit, as are all the restaurants in the Mook Group.

German service...Worst service ever. Not my first time at this place or at the other mook group restaurants. I reserved a table but the restaurant was flooded due to the heavy rain and I needed to wait at the bar in Zenzakan. Which is all fine, but if you ask me to wait for a nice table you should offer me drinks and not just sit me at the bar where I need to pay for them by myself. Plus you should inform me that it might take over an hour and ask me if I want to wait in that case I waited over one hour and no table was available. Thank you, next!

Good spicy curry with tofu. No miracles, just good food Long time meals awaiting

We came here for dinner on Wednesday night on the recommendation of a friend that lives in Frankfurt. The interior of the restaurant is such a cool vibe, very dim and atmospheric. The restroom also leans into the vibe with a full on jungle atmosphere that I found delightful. Service throughout our meal was incredibly attentive with our waitress helping us to make some difficult decisions given the fact that the whole menu looked amazing. For starters we got the pani puri, crispy fried pakora spinach and a side of curry vegetables. For dinner we had the chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, lamb shank, tandoori prawns, tarka dhal and naan. I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite dish because we truly loved everything. It was a great final dinner for our vacation and would highly recommend this restaurant to friends.

Very Cool decor and lovely ambiance, but sadly that’s the only good thing to say about this place! The food is not even close to being authentic! The waiter was so rude.. he even messed up our drinks order twice.. It’s ok to charge premium prices for fancy decor but then I expect better service and food as at the end of the day you’re a restaurant and not a fancy museum!

Beautiful atmosphere, requires more Indians in Indian food

There is nothing at all to complain about about the food, the location and the decor of the restaurant. Only the service on our evening was a catastrophe for our understanding of service. The lady who assigned the tables and was therefore the first contact with the restaurant didn't make a welcoming impression and didn't have a stubborn mentality. The food came, we ate, food was good. While clearing up, the waiter splashed grease on one of the group and noticed it, which can happen. However, we would have expected at least a small apology, then that wouldn't have been an issue. However, it was simply ignored without a word.

It’s decor and ambience is amongst the finest I have seen in Frankfurt. But that’s about it. Don’t think I have had worse food than what I had last evening. Service was cold to say the least.

Was okay. The food itself tastes good. Steak is recommended. Unfortunately the service is not up to par. Very slowly. So we waited 10 minutes or so every time we ordered a coke and it was forgotten. Water was sometimes limited to order, sometimes just left out. Basically the service didn't seem professional. Rather a bit silly. A pity. The ambience is nicely done.

If I was able to give 6 stars, I would! All of the staff was extremely friendly and the ambiance was awesome! What exceeded my expectations was that I rudely asked for a USB port to charge my phone and they went above and beyond via letting me use the charger from their iPad that they used for seating!

We visited this place after going to watch England v Denmark at the Euros. We're so glad we did. The food is amazing and they have a great wine list. The service was special too, in particular from Dani who was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We've been to Michelin star Indian restaurants in London and this is up there with some of the best we've been to. The football was disappointing but the Ivory Club most definitely wasn't. Loved it

See and be seen - that is the motto here. And accordingly also the type of person who puts the handle in his hand. Certainly not an intellectual meeting place, more like wannabe high society. The quality of the food therefore plays a minor role here, as the sophistication of the taste is less important to the lacquered guests than the presentation and showing off for Instagram. Hui on the outside, yuck on the inside - at least guest and food have something in common.

Ambience and service are great. The food didn't quite meet our personal taste.

This place is really good overall, both in terms of food and service. That said, this is expected given the price. Some nice surprises: the naan portions were bigger than expected (see photos), and also the dishes come with rice. Some interesting fusion ideas: the tacos for instance were excellent. This was phenomenal. On the other hand, the caprese was OK: the burrata works well with the chutneys and papaya, but it was lots of flavours together and it was difficult to taste everything very well. In terms of starters, tacos were best, followed by the pani puri. The chaat was very basic, just a normal salad. Would not recommend personally. Mains were quite good! I loved the butter chicken though my family likes it sweeter. I thought it was perfect. The tandoori chicken was seriously succulent… still surprised they got chicken breast to be that soft! The lamb shank… falling off the bone. The mango curry was okay; mango flavour overpowering and the chicken slightly powdery. The tikka masala had a similar powdery texture, but the sauce was very difficult to what I’ve had before (it was OK). The naans were very doughy, I’ve had better elsewhere.

The restaurant is on the more expensive side. They are an Indian cuisine and a steakhouse at the same time. To me it’s a weird combination. Personally, I don’t enjoy smelling Indian food while eating a steak. Thought I’m willing to budge for a steak this good. I had their fillet mignon cut, which comes a side of your choice. I choose the fries which were good. Also, I shared a salad, but I didn’t like it as much.

Fine dining in Frankfurt. Here you can enjoy delicious cocktails, steaks and Indian cuisine. The location has its own underground car park. ATTENTION: If you leave your vehicle to the valet service, check for possible damage before handing it in and after taking it back. My rim was damaged. But Mookgroup denied it via email through the managing director. There is a point deduction for email. And another point deduction for the damage to the rim.

Kaum zu bewerten. Für einen vegetarischen Gast sehr schwierig. Trotz Bitte um Verzicht auf Schärfe war das Auberginen Curry (lt Karte "0 Chilli") ungenießbar scharf und mit zahlreichen Chilli-Flocken. Eine weniger scharfe Alternative konnte nicht angeboten werden. Der Gast musste hungrig gehen. Immerhin wurde auf eine Berechnung verzichtet. Völlig anderes Erlebnis für den viel Schärfe vertragenden Gast. Das "Curry in a hurry" war sehr zart und super lecker. Sehr freundlicher Service.

For me, the best Indian food ever March 2024 • Family From now on, The Ivory Club is in my diary when I'm in Frankfurt. The ambience and the service are very good, the food is simply fantastic - the taste is top notch, as you could only wish for lamb with an Indian touch. A really successful evening.

Der The Ivory Club gehört ab jetzt für mich in den Terminkalender, wenn ich in Frankfurt bin. Das Ambiente sowie der Service sind sehr gut, das Essen einfach fantastisch - geschmacklich 1a, wie man sich Lamm mit indischer Note nur wünschen kann. Ein wirklich gelungener Abend.

Food and service have been at the top level for years and at a good price-performance ratio!

A bit noisy, making conversations at normal volume difficult. Food and ambience, but great. Price performance completely okay.

We visit this restaurant every couple of months. The decor is absolutely lovely, so too is the service. The overall quality of the food is good, the starters being a particular high point. Sometimes the meat in the curries is a little on the tough side, but the sauces are excellent. Very good choice of wine. The prices are quite high. I am more than happy to pay them, considering the decor and service, but I find that charging €13 for a cheese naan is over the top.

Perfect place for date night! The steak is definitely a winner paired with the truffle mashed potatoes. The tables are a bit crowded, so I would not recommend coming with kids.
