The Harp in Hannover

The Harp is simply a must! This pub is probably one of the best in the entire city of Hanover. The staff is very hard-working and courteous, some of them can follow an example. The burgers are more than great and the chili cheese fries were great 😋 would be happy again.

It is said that the best burgers in Hanover are available here. That's not an exaggeration. As a special there is the regularly changing “Ehrenburger” with amazing creations. The fries are also highly recommended. There is a very good selection of draft beer, from the classic Herri to Guinness to craft beer from the Mashsee brewery. It is often worth asking about the current promotional tap. Without a reservation there is usually no space.

We were there on March 14th. First of all, I have to say a lot of praise: the burgers were truly unbelievably delicious! I'd heard a lot about The Harp, but everything was just right. We sat in the heated conservatory. Unfortunately, we lost a star because we sat next to a door that didn't close properly, letting in a lot of cold air, which made me very cold. Luckily, there were blankets so I could bear it a bit better. Another negative point: it's very crowded. That's to be expected with such delicious burgers, so making a reservation in advance is recommended!

Didn't meet my expectations I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend and we ordered burgers: I had one with two patties, she had one with one. According to the menu, a patty should weigh 160g, but as an experienced chef I can safely say it was 100g at most. Unfortunately the patties were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. I like juicy burgers, but not in this form. In addition, we had to wait a very long time for our food. The waiting time was far too long for simple burgers. I also didn't think the price-performance ratio was justified - the price was definitely too high for the quality we got. The only thing I really liked was the bun. I hope I was just unlucky with my meal and other guests have better experiences. The pictures on the website gave me hope for a delicious dinner, but unfortunately my expectations were not met.

Simply the best burgers in town.

We tried to reserve a table and couldn't get through. Shortly afterwards we were called back from the pub and offered a table. We arrived at the pub 20 minutes later and got the last table. The pup was completely full. I've never had a restaurant call me back right when it's hour. That was a great experience. We had a nice evening.

Very tasty burgers and great atmosphere. The service is also very nice. On concert days it can get quite crowded, so I would reserve a table in advance. If you're lucky, you can also get a spot spontaneously.

For me one of the TOP 3 burger shops in all of Germany 🇩🇪!!! I've tried a lot of handmade burger shops, but the Harp is simply Champions League level in everything. Always happy ☺️

Best burgers in town! Great staff. Always calm, friendly and on the ball. When the store is full, the employees always try to serve all guests quickly. If it takes longer in the kitchen because everyone always orders at the same time, you always get information about how long the waiting time will be. I think that's great! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A minor drawback in winter is that the front area is a bit drafty. Thank you for pampering your guests with this high level of commitment and a great product!

It's been a long time since we've been to the Irish pub, it's 6:30 p.m. and it's packed, so reservations are very important. We ate Texas Chainsaw with fries and Machete with Garlic Cheese Fries, everything was served hot and crispy, with Guinness Stout. Even though it was very crowded, we were able to have a good chat. The service was quick, friendly!

The citizens are really excellent and there is a really good selection of drinks. If you like something a little more alternative, you will really celebrate the music there. I like to come by every time I'm craving a good burger 👌

Wir waren seit langem mal wieder in dem irischen Pub, 18:30 Uhr und rappelvoll, reservieren sehr wichtig. Gegessen haben wir TEXAS CHAINSAW mit FRIES sowie MACHETE mit GARLIC CHEESE FRIES, alles wurde heiß und knusprig serviert, dazu gab es GUINNESS STOUT. Obwohl es sehr voll war, konnten wir uns gut unterhalten. Die Bedienung war schnell, freundlich!

Went to The Harp for the first time yesterday with my wife, unfortunately we didn't have a reservation, but the waiter quickly came up with a solution and so we got a seat right at the counter. The ambience is simply fantastic and the music was good too - you immediately felt at home. We ordered burgers and fries 🍟 🍟 We were both overwhelmed, neither of us had ever eaten such a good burger. The staff was extremely friendly and tried their best to make us happy. The food came super quickly and it was just a great evening. Rarely have I had such a feeling of happiness at a restaurant. We will definitely be back, the store is an absolute must when visiting Hanover! Next time we will reserve in advance.

Totally the best burgers in Hannover. Specialty burgers are usually quite exotic, but equally delicious. I recommend the chicken and the pulled pork, either with some special fries to accompany. Without a doubt, make a reservation in advance if you want to go on the weekend. The place is quite nice and the service is always excellent. Without a doubt one of the usual ones in Hannover and one that I continue to go to constantly.

I recently went to this burger joint and I highly recommend it! The selection of burgers is huge and there is something for every taste. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the meat – juicy and perfectly grilled. The rolls were fresh and the side dishes such as fries and salads were also very tasty. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience. The employee was extremely unfriendly and spoke to us in an aggressive tone just because we changed our table. The burger was okay (definitely not the best burger in Hannover) but the Garlic Cheese Fries were really excellent. Nevertheless, we won't go there again.

Burger creations are created here that would leave even Gordon Ramsay speechless. Every bite here promises a taste explosion. In my opinion, the attention to detail and unusual Ehrenburgers are not a marketing phrase, but reality. You've taken the burger game to a new level. Keep it up! Deduction for the ambience because it is a little too loud and crowded for me personally. Down in the winter garden the tables are so close together that you sometimes can't get through.

Anyone who loves burgers and rock music will find their living room here. The best citizens in the city and maybe even Germany?! Irish pub, good beer and great staff! I've enjoyed a few meals here and can only report the best. The vegan and vegetarian alternatives (available for all burgers) are terrific! Definitely a recommendation for everyone for whom the pub atmosphere is not an exclusion criterion.

Great burgers. The reserved places are very limited in time. I didn't like it. We made sales of 185 euros in 1.5 hours and were "almost" thrown out according to schedule.

Had a table for 9 that we reserved. Got seated right away and drinks came soon after. Excellent burgers and fries. High quality ingredients prepared properly made for a great time for all. Definitely recommend!

The place is hyped for their burgers, but I didn't find them all that special. The rolls are okay, as is the meat, the toppings sound more interesting than they actually taste and the selection on the menu is pretty confusing. By the time you noticed the differences between the burgers, you forgot which one sounded good. In terms of price, the larger burgers are good at 11-15 euros, but the smaller ones don't seem worth the 9 euros. They look pretty sad and don't really fill you up. It's also a shame that fries cost extra (even if they look good) and each dip is charged at 1 euro. The interior upstairs is nice and rustic and cozy, the tables are very close together and sometimes you sit in the aisle. The beer garden is one floor below and is permanently built. Even in winter it is warm here, although a little less pretty. I tried the Donald Trump burger and the burger with chicken here and both tasted pretty good. Nice and juicy and the breading on the chicken was great. The mac'n'cheese are a good portion and have delicious cheese and pesto on top. Unfortunately I was missing the sauce inside.

If you want to eat a delicious burger and drink a freshly tapped beer, The Harp is the right place for you. Table reservation is recommended.

There were times when I was a regular at the Harp. After a break of a few years, I was here again and can say that it is still a great experience. A small disadvantage is the tables, some of which are small, which can be a bit cramped when eating. Otherwise, I still really like the harp.

We waited an hour after our meal until someone came to the table to place another order (and only after getting up and walking over to the waiter). Reservation of the table went smoothly. The service was very attentive and always there quickly. The burgers we ordered (blindly ordered 'Ehrenburger, house burger) were delivered quickly, even though the restaurant was completely booked. The 'Ehrenburger' was an incredible treat and one of the hottest burgers served so far. A recommendation can only be advised. I can only pass on my positive impressions to everyone else. Nice service, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere

Our reserved table was not yet free at the agreed time, so we were first placed on the terrace in the tent; the waitress there was all alone and was slow to keep up. But once we got our reserved spot at the front of the pub, everything went very quickly. The food was super tasty and the waiter was really friendly. It was a really great evening.

Best burger shop in all of Germany!

A really cozy pub. But we were there for the burgers and were seated in the heated beer garden. With the warm lighting and the wooden-clad walls, it gave more of the impression of a winter garden. Which I liked. The service was nice, relaxed and was able to answer every question about the menu, right down to the composition of the sauces. The burgers were of course also very good and rounded off the overall impression.

Best burger in town. Without a reservation it is difficult to get a table. Even during the week. However, calls are always answered in a friendly manner.

The burger is really awesome. I've eaten many burgers, but rarely one where the flavor of the meat came through as well as this. The meat was fried to a perfect medium rare. The ambience is also just great, a really authentic Irish pub. The only point of criticism from my side, but please don't overestimate it, is the fries. Fresh, homemade fries would have been the cherry on top of the cake. A visit is a must when visiting Hanover.

Update: still great! Beautiful location, large selection of drinks and the best burgers in the city, possibly the best burgers in Northern Germany. Always packed, without a reservation you can only get a table early and with a lot of luck. Be sure to try the Ehrenburger, it changes constantly and is always exceptional.

The Harp convinced me the first time I entered. I've been a loyal customer for years but have never written a review. Doesn't matter… I've actually eaten a lot, but what The Harp delivers is largely unmatched. Love and passion and always new creations speak for themselves. The best burger shop across all states.

A pub like I love! Once you've been there, you'll always want to go back. Drinks quickly and cold on the table. Burgers fresh and incredibly tasty. I just love it, I can't say it better. So in conclusion: I love this store!

My goodness! I was in burger heaven! The place functions double, both as a classic Irish pub with everything that goes with it and as perhaps the best burger joint in... well at least in Hanover - rather further! 😉 The service is above average, the food is fantastic and the price is absolutely fair compared to other shops! The “Loaded Fries” variations are particularly noteworthy. My choice (the Hangover Fries) stayed crispy for an extremely long time, even though I ate the burger first and they really live up to their name - loaded to the rafters! Booking early is a must if you want to be on the safe side. In “The Harp” the following apparently often applies: door open - crowds in! Unreserved recommendation! Top shop and definitely not 0/8/15 burgers!

Trendy local, very busy, food, drinks, prices good, ambience is good.

The main thing here is burgers in different variations. But they are really tasty. Side dishes such as fries cost extra, but they also taste very good and are available in different versions. The service was nice and friendly. Orders came quickly. There is a small deduction for the ambience in the back. Although this part creates space for many guests, it looks like a basement pub with beer tent sets. In principle, this should only apply to autumn and winter. Otherwise it is a beer garden directly on the Leine. In summer there should be a completely different atmosphere.

Great store! We didn't know that it made sense to make a reservation, we stood in line at 4:30 p.m. (even though one of the guests in line had a reservation), got in pretty quickly and got a place at the counter for the two of us without a reservation. A quick look into the kitchen from there showed that work was going on at full speed. One had just sat down and the burgers and fries for the first gesture, who were seated 5 minutes before us, were ready. The burgers were incredibly tasty. Fresh buns and homemade parties. Great service. Everyone was very friendly despite there being a lot of people and an enormous rush!

Everything is hectic, everything is short, no recommendations and that happens again and again. If the customer management aspect is improved the store is a 10/10. The service is very attentive. Unfortunately my pattie was badly burned. Unfortunately I didn't complain about the pattie because I didn't want to wait again and I was pressed for time. The waiting time (Tuesday evening) at the table for the food was 50 minutes, which I found a bit long, even though it was full. I was annoyed that I ended up with a burnt pattie. The atmosphere is cozy but very loud. The burger (TS) was okay, but nothing special... the other burgers are more worth it for the price.

The 🍔 are really good and so is the service. The benches in the winter garden are extremely uncomfortable and the pub quiz... is... ok. Could be better structured. In our case, the moderator was a bit stimulating. I got hit on because I had my phone out. When I replied that I was looking for the next train home, I was told that I could do that later.

We had to move around again because we forgot that a larger group was coming. The food was good and the service staff was friendly. It's very narrow and loud inside, so if you want it to be quiet and comfortable, you should choose the outside area.
