If I could give 10 stars, I would! For years I've been meaning to try a burger here... I waited way too long! Best burger and best fries I've ever eaten!! At "The Harp," you're immediately struck by the cool pub atmosphere. A bit old-school, a bit trashy, but incredibly charming and breathtaking. You feel like you've stepped straight into a pub in Ireland! The staff were incredibly friendly and some were very authentic (they seem to be native Irish themselves). You should know that in addition to the amazing "standard" dishes, they also have a constantly changing and extravagant "celebrity burger." We ordered this one along with the celebratory fries... It's best if you check out The Harp's Instagram page yourself; describing the burger or the fries here would be impossible! Atmosphere: first-class! Service: first-class! Food: first-class! In short: 10 out of 10! I've already told my friends, and now I unfortunately have to come back with many other buddies—separately, of course—to try everything on the food and whisky menu!

Every two weeks, a special burger arrives here, and it's truly something to behold! A wide variety of creations, some of them gigantic, await you here. But the rest of the menu is also impressive! Even more delicious burgers, a wide selection of drinks, and arguably the best nachos in town! The burgers here are not only the best burgers, but also generally damn good food! But please make a reservation a few days in advance!

A wonderful Irish pub with absolutely fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere! We were in Hanover for a concert and stumbled upon "The Harp" by chance. We were absolutely thrilled!

Absolutely fantastic! Great pub atmosphere, a relaxed lifestyle, top-notch service, and most importantly: the food is delicious! The burgers were great, the fries (and the sour cream dip) were excellent! The Bloody Mary to finish was also wonderfully aromatic and flavorful with just the right amount of (mild) spice. Everything is perfect here, definitely worth a visit!

A pub I love! Once you've been there, you'll always want to go back. Drinks come quickly and cold to the table. Burgers are fresh and incredibly delicious. I simply love it, I can't express it better. So, in conclusion: I love this place!

We managed to get a table in the conservatory at short notice; the seating was rather rustic...but the service and food were very tasty, even though the place was packed.

I tried the restaurant – the food is quite good, but the service and the tables are really bad. The tables are very cramped, making it difficult to eat or move around, and they're right up against the wall. I really can't recommend it. I just left, and when I told them the table was completely unsuitable for eating, they said there was nothing they could do and they couldn't move me to another table!

The food is always excellent. No complaints there. The service varies depending on the server. On average, it's okay. What's completely unacceptable is the crowds. It's absolutely packed every single time. You're crammed together like sardines in a can, and you really have to scramble to get a table big enough to fit all your burgers. It's incredibly annoying and makes the otherwise fantastic food less enjoyable. What a shame.

The burgers are absolutely perfect! With their signature burgers, Harp always manages to offer a fantastic change of pace! We can't praise the Mac & Cheese enough either... the service is great, the food always arrives relatively quickly, and the beer selection is very appealing! The only downside is that it's always quite noisy upstairs, but that's why we always sit in the winter garden/beer garden, where we feel very comfortable. Thank you for your hard work! Keep up the great work, and we'll definitely be back! 💕

Good place, I've been there several times. 😎👍 Last time, though, I got a weird snakebite; it had lager in it, but it tasted awful. The burger and fries are a pretty decent-sized portion.

The best burger restaurant in all of Hanover – the restaurant is always packed, so it's almost impossible to get a table without one, and if you do, the seats are extremely uncomfortable. You might end up sitting on a beam staring at the wall, or right at the counter. Burgers without fries start at €8.50 and go up to about €14.50.

The burger is good. Otherwise, it's loud and crowded. Without a reservation, it seems you have no chance of getting a table, even during the week.

As someone unfamiliar with the area, I was whisked here by colleagues. Reserving a table in the afternoon was no problem. I've been there 10 times, driving 85 km each time. Simply because it's worth it. I can't say I've ever enjoyed a burger this much. The cute, rustic wooden interior, along with the cozy seating arrangement, completes the whole experience, along with the always cheerful and attentive staff. Although "staff" doesn't really convey how much fun the people have at work. Always worth a visit!

For me, The Harp is the kind of place you walk in into once and immediately get that warm, cozy pub feeling. After the first beer, I knew I'd be staying longer. The atmosphere is relaxed, a bit British and chaotic, but that's exactly what makes it charming. The beer selection is really strong, and the Guinness is poured the way it should be, with patience and perfect foam. I like that no one tries to put on a show here. The people are relaxed, the staff friendly, and always ready with a joke. When there's live music, it really comes alive. Everyone starts bopping along, and even those who actually just wanted a quick drink stick around. In short, The Harp is a piece of Ireland in the middle of Hanover for me: honest, welcoming, and with a really good atmosphere.

I ordered takeout and waited about half an hour. However, they gave priority to customers who arrived after me, had a seat, and also ordered after me! They said orders would be processed in order... which simply wasn't the case. When I asked where my order was, the bartender treated me rudely and in a very abusive tone! Instead of understanding and an apology, I got resistance. This is completely unacceptable.

We went there as a group of friends, and I never expected it to be so good or to have so much fun. When we got there, we were surprised by the long line outside and thought, "It's a good thing we made a reservation." There's not enough room for that many people. But, invisible from the outside, there's an annex in the backyard. As for the food, everything is highly recommended. Each of us had something different, and everyone enjoyed it immensely. There's nothing bad to say about the service either; everyone was very friendly, helpful, and quick. We'd be happy to come back.

We were there with our company and sat in the beer garden. The atmosphere was great, even though there was construction going on on one side (I sat facing the river and had a beautiful view). The burgers were really good, especially the cheddar sauce. Service was regular, and we didn't have to wait long. All in all, it was very good and well worth recommending.

Simply the best burger place in Hanover!

Over 4,000 positive reviews speak for themselves. The place is quite popular. Since I was nearby, I decided to go there on the spur of the moment. Because the place doesn't open until 4:00 PM, some of the guests waited outside with me for about 10 minutes. After we were allowed in, I noticed that some people had table reservations, which I would recommend to anyone who wants to go there. I ordered a Crystal Mett Burger with sweet potato fries and garlic sauce. It was really delicious. Great place.

I'm now very familiar with authentic Irish pub culture, and today I spontaneously decided to enjoy a pint of Guinness at the bar. To my surprise, the seats were reserved. The music was too loud and didn't fit the atmosphere. The bartender was chatting with my neighbor while I was there and skillfully ignored me. For an authentic pub, it would be better to keep the bar area free for guests, meaning not to reserve seats and to organize reservations differently. After all, less is often more.

I had the chance to meet the team at an open-air wine festival. They were incredibly friendly. And the burgers are truly amazing. I can't remember a burger as juicy and tasty as this. Awesome!

Great pub. Very accessible, bus stop right outside. The food is heavily burger-focused, which is certainly intentional. I think the quality of the food is very good. The restaurant is very quaint, and the staff is very customer-oriented, especially if you're in a larger group. If you're alone, it's a bit different, but still okay. The beer garden has become more of a beer tent. If you know about it beforehand, that's okay too. I'll leave it up to each individual to judge the restrooms. Definitely make a reservation!!! Otherwise, there's only one seat at the bar!

Best burger joint (and beer, of course) in the region. Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, great evenings like the quiz. We always enjoy coming here to wash away the stresses of everyday life with a really good burger and a pitcher or two. I like the place so much that I even wear a Harp hoodie (because they've discontinued the Poo shirt), and of course, we also have Harp glasses at home—harpcore, so to speak. We might even build a small replica of the Harp in our barn...

The menu here mainly features burgers in various variations. They're really tasty, though. Sides like fries cost extra, but they also taste very good and come in a variety of flavors. The service was nice and friendly. Orders were taken quickly. A small deduction is made for the ambiance in the back. While this section has enough space for many guests, it feels like a basement pub with beer tent seating. However, that's probably only true in the fall and winter, as it's otherwise a beer garden right on the Leine River. In the summer, the atmosphere is likely to be completely different.

First time there. Amazing. Lovely. Dominik was by far the best of the evening, and the burger was still a 10/10. He recommended the Sloppy Joe, and God, it was good. But, as I said, the service was as good as you'd ever get. Best wishes, we'll be back.

The food was great, the concept very questionable... there was only a limited time for the reservation. All well and good. Since the food arrived very late, it felt like we only had 15 minutes to eat. Before we could finish, the waiter came over and said something along the lines of the next guests and asked if we were about to finish. Well, what else can you say...

Nice Irish pub with incredibly delicious food, very friendly staff, and great music. As far as I know, they always have a changing "Ehrenburger," or special creations. I spontaneously stopped in here at 9:15 p.m. and was lucky and kindly able to order something even though the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. I even got a really nice table. There was a pub quiz going on and it was exciting to hear the results 😊 The team was extremely friendly and kept checking to see if everything was okay! Overall, it was a really nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry enough to try a burger, but maybe next time! My fries and Caesar salad were also really tasty. I'd love to come back when I'm in Hanover.

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant, and I decided to leave my very first review – it was that good! These were hands down the best burgers we’ve ever had, and the truffle fries were absolutely fantastic! The service was warm and welcoming, and overall, the place is just lovely. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

In my opinion, the best burgers in town and arguably the best fries in Lower Saxony. Very friendly staff. Fast and reliable ordering, and despite the restaurant being busy, the food arrived pretty quickly! The burgers are a good size, very flavorful, and well-filled. The fries, you'll be surprised; they're the best you can get; the toppings are amazing. (It's basically a main course in itself.) The ambiance is good, but it loses a point because the winter garden/beer garden in summer is also a beer garden. And unfortunately, it's covered in summer too. Otherwise, simply very, very good! Give it a try!

I've enjoyed going there every week for over two years. The staff is attentive and always in a good mood. You can tell they're a team. The burgers are amazing; you have to try them (vegetarian options are also available). The mac & cheese is incredibly good. I was only disappointed once, because they didn't serve Herri 🤷🏻‍♂️ The only criticism I could make is that it closes too early, but I completely understand that as an employee, you don't want to be standing there from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. ❤️
