The Harp in Hannover

The Harp convinced me the first time I entered. I've been a loyal customer for years but have never written a review. Doesn't matter… I've actually eaten a lot, but what The Harp delivers is largely unmatched. Love and passion and always new creations speak for themselves. The best burger shop across all states.

A pub like I love! Once you've been there, you'll always want to go back. Drinks quickly and cold on the table. Burgers fresh and incredibly tasty. I just love it, I can't say it better. So in conclusion: I love this store!

I give full points because: Food - great burgers and great fries 💕 Service - very nice and always present! Ambiance - mega pub feeling and delicious Guiness, almost like in the Temple Bar in Dublin

My goodness! I was in burger heaven! The place functions double, both as a classic Irish pub with everything that goes with it and as perhaps the best burger joint in... well at least in Hanover - rather further! 😉 The service is above average, the food is fantastic and the price is absolutely fair compared to other shops! The “Loaded Fries” variations are particularly noteworthy. My choice (the Hangover Fries) stayed crispy for an extremely long time, even though I ate the burger first and they really live up to their name - loaded to the rafters! Booking early is a must if you want to be on the safe side. In “The Harp” the following apparently often applies: door open - crowds in! Unreserved recommendation! Top shop and definitely not 0/8/15 burgers!

Trendy local, very busy, food, drinks, prices good, ambience is good.

The main thing here is burgers in different variations. But they are really tasty. Side dishes such as fries cost extra, but they also taste very good and are available in different versions. The service was nice and friendly. Orders came quickly. There is a small deduction for the ambience in the back. Although this part creates space for many guests, it looks like a basement pub with beer tent sets. In principle, this should only apply to autumn and winter. Otherwise it is a beer garden directly on the Leine. In summer there should be a completely different atmosphere.

Classic, typical Irish pub, good selection of drinks, super tasty food/burgers. On a Saturday evening (packed with waiting times, no chance without a reservation) we spontaneously got a small table for two. Super friendly and competent staff. Definitely again on your next visit to Hanover.

Great store! We didn't know that it made sense to make a reservation, we stood in line at 4:30 p.m. (even though one of the guests in line had a reservation), got in pretty quickly and got a place at the counter for the two of us without a reservation. A quick look into the kitchen from there showed that work was going on at full speed. One had just sat down and the burgers and fries for the first gesture, who were seated 5 minutes before us, were ready. The burgers were incredibly tasty. Fresh buns and homemade parties. Great service. Everyone was very friendly despite there being a lot of people and an enormous rush!

Everything is hectic, everything is short, no recommendations and that happens again and again. If the customer management aspect is improved the store is a 10/10. Currently a 7/10 due to the staff factor

Very nice atmosphere. Almost a little trip to Ireland. The vegan burger was great. I'll definitely come back, even though I don't live in Hanover.

We were there spontaneously and were lucky that a table was made available for us despite the full house. The waitresses were very friendly and the food was great! It would have been understandable to be stressed with the flood of guests, but there were only friendly faces! Great service! Thanks!

The service is very attentive. Unfortunately my pattie was badly burned. Unfortunately I didn't complain about the pattie because I didn't want to wait again and I was pressed for time. The waiting time (Tuesday evening) at the table for the food was 50 minutes, which I found a bit long, even though it was full. I was annoyed that I ended up with a burnt pattie. The atmosphere is cozy but very loud. The burger (TS) was okay, but nothing special... the other burgers are more worth it for the price.

The 🍔 are really good and so is the service. The benches in the winter garden are extremely uncomfortable and the pub quiz... is... ok. Could be better structured. In our case, the moderator was a bit stimulating. I got hit on because I had my phone out. When I replied that I was looking for the next train home, I was told that I could do that later.

We had to move around again because we forgot that a larger group was coming. The food was good and the service staff was friendly. It's very narrow and loud inside, so if you want it to be quiet and comfortable, you should choose the outside area.

The food is great, but the time limit of 2 hours makes you feel very rushed, especially when it's very busy, as there are long waiting times - and it's quite loud. We had to wait in line to get in with our reservation and then had to wait to be shown our table - unfortunately the table numbers are not visible. We were at the table only 15 minutes after our reservation began and then ordered after about 10 minutes. We got our food after about 50 minutes of waiting, and as soon as we had finished eating we were informed that we had to leave in 8 minutes. At the end we had to stand in line to pay. The food is definitely very tasty and everyone was happy with it, but all the waiting in line somewhat overshadowed our evening there - nevertheless, The Harp is a restaurant that rightly enjoys its popularity. Perhaps you could save yourself from assigning guests by labeling the tables and allow ordering via an app or website - there are already QR codes on all tables.

The best burgers in town! Sure, the atmosphere is a moderately cozy pub, but it definitely has its charm. However, reserve tables in advance, it usually gets very full.

Food very good and the ambience is what you would expect from a pub. Unfortunately we waited 25 minutes for our reserved table. Unfortunately, there are apparently too few (but friendly!) staff to adequately manage payment and placement of guests during peak times. Especially when compared to Unfortunately, if you have tickets for the Capitol or other events and want to leave on time, it is not recommended.

The burgers... to die for! Garlic cheese fries - the best loaded fries I've ever eaten. Many different (craft) beers. What more could you want? Absolutely recommended.

The Harp restaurant has the best burgers I've ever tasted! Every bite is a true taste experience - juicy meat, perfectly prepared and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The side dishes and sauces are also excellent. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is super friendly and attentive. Solid as it has been for years, burgers and fries are great, good selection of beers. It is advisable to reserve a table, as it can be very crowded and crowded in the Harp. The Ehrenburger is sometimes a little more expensive (changing burgers), but it is always worth the money.

This quaint pub is really worth a visit. I haven't eaten such a delicious burger in years. And that also applies to the fries. The staff is extremely on point and very friendly. Unfortunately, I personally didn't get along very well with the volume of the music.

Underground! On a Sunday evening there are men sitting there getting very drunk. The staff takes no responsibility for this and continues to give the men alcohol until one of them vomits in front of all the guests! I couldn't eat my food afterwards, but of course I had to pay in full. Absolutely no go!!! Not recommended!

One of the best burger restaurants worldwide 😋

We were there on a Saturday evening and luckily we had a reservation. Otherwise no chance. At the beginning we were told that the meal would take a little longer. But the wait was absolutely worth it, the burgers and fries were incredibly tasty :) It's also positive to mention that every burger can be ordered with a vegetarian patty and you can even choose between two different ones.

My stay at “The Harp” was simply fantastic! The “Cosa Nostra” burger I had was top notch – juicy, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My companion had the chicken burger, which was also excellent. The two Guinnesses I enjoyed with it were also of the best quality. The atmosphere in “The Harp” is simply great. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the guests also contribute to the great atmosphere. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. A little tip for everyone driving to Hanover: It's better to stay at orange, as the speed cameras there are a bit sensitive. 😉

Wow, our burgers are so delicious. Veganist and machete were ours, extremely tasty! The sweet potato fries with mayo on the side were delicious, but there was a lot of it. Prices completely reasonable! Lots of nice people work there ♡

Not exactly particularly friendly service, prices rather high for a pub. Rooms are okay, but not outstanding either. This pub, which supposedly wants to be Irish in some way, is really not cult, there are actually better, real Irish pubs in the city, but it's not bad either. Rather mediocre. That's how it comes across overall. Acceptable, but without the claim it suggests.

Mega MacNCheese, were told to please be quieter. We found it strange in a pub. Update after the operator's answer: on Google you say: "Cozy pub with wooden furniture and beer garden offers unusual burgers, many types of beer and concerts." So you are a pub! Although the category is burger restaurant.

Was very tasty. However, burgers took a while, which was said beforehand. Everything is very authentic, even the service looks like it's in an Irish pub, the only thing missing is the red hair 😉. Highly recommended for beer and burgers.

The Harp in the Linden district offers undeniably the best burgers. If you want to eat there, you should reserve a table because it is very busy even during the week. The burgers are really the highlight. I had the Texas Chainsaw burger, which tasted really fabulous. If you appreciate good burgers, you should stop by there.

Best burgers in Hanover, we're from Texas so we are picky about our burgers. The meat was cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh. Served hot with great tasting fries. We had brownies for dessert alles lecker, delicious food.

Ambience is obviously old. The floorboards at the entrance still creak just as they did a long time ago. They switched to eating hamburgers. Very good. By the way, they were delicious. Tried 3 different ones with side dishes of your choice.👍The service worked great. I can recommend it for groups in the next room. Only the space is a bit cramped. A little more space would be better. But that's my own feeling.

Everything just fits together in this restaurant. Food, staff and ambience are top. Now I understand why it's always full. The burgers are juicy, the Calslow tastes fresh and the fries are crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside.

I've been a regular at the Harp for years - no lie - and I don't know of a nicer pub with better food or more friendly staff. The atmosphere is always very familiar and pleasant, the food is consistently great and, especially thanks to the Ehrenburgers, still varied (if you want it). We love the pub quiz and especially the best restaurant manager Klaus!

We went to The Harp for the first time today without a reservation. The store was packed and we still managed to get a seat. I've never eaten such a good burger in my life. The loaded fries are absolutely fantastic. I have to particularly emphasize the service. Friendly, authentic, fast. For some people this is a given, but I have often experienced it quite differently. I felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Everything is just right here, from entering and leaving the restaurant.

This is the best burger place in Hannover. If someone tells you otherwise, they're wrong. Over multiple visits, the food has never been short of perfect. The burgers are well thought through in terms of toppings, the bread is good, and the fries are top tier. I don't know what they use to cut them, but they're all curved and carry toppings and sauces very nicely. The beer and long drinks menu is solid if not gigantic. I can't comment on wine, but if you're pairing wine with burgers you have bigger problems anyway. It was nice to find some unexpected things on tap, such as Punk IPA and Stowford Press cider. Over the years they've done some work on the beer garden, and it's really very pleasant now. We visited on a hot day, and ate comfortably. Has a bit of a beer hall vibe. Ignore pretenders to the throne. If you're going out for burgers in Hannover, this is the place.

I've been there several times now and there's never been anything to complain about. For me, the burgers are the best in Hanover and the fries are always delicious, especially the various loaded fries. But what stands out most are the incredibly friendly waiters, who always take the time to help you, even when the shop is full, always remain friendly and don't let the hustle and bustle show. I really enjoy coming here every time!

The Harp was once recommended to me on TikTok when I was looking for a food spot for Hanover. Went there spontaneously shortly after opening before the AC/DC concert and were thrilled. Good beer, bombastic burgers, super nice and lovely service. The concept is A1.

Nice restaurant, delicious burgers, nice atmosphere! The burgers are definitely something different than what you're used to, but they're simply awesome! The atmosphere at the back of the "tent" (?) is also nice, even if it can get very warm in good weather.

Food Good, but change the name of the burger (cosa nostra), is really disrespectful, I would never call a german burger SS. (Edit response: I understand if I have been a little bit extreme with my expression, but don’t take joke of me “cosa nostra” MEANS ONLY MAFIA and nothing else in Italian. It’s not the end of the world, but I wanted to express my disappointment to this names that I found really out of context).

Great food, good music, fun atmosphere! The burgers are to die for, and some with hilarious, inspired names. S are the cheese garlic fries. My favourite. The staff is nice and very efficient, fast service. Prices are decent, 8,5 to 14,50 EUR per Burger, decent portions, too. Would love to come back.

Really good place for burgers, poutine and beer including a cozy and special atmosphere. The Harp is really only recommended if you are looking for a good location in Hanover. The service is friendly and the price-performance ratio is also great. Depending on the day of the week (especially on weekends), it is advisable to reserve in advance. Otherwise there is always a place at the bar for a good drink. The selection here is really very large.
