If you like burgers, you've come to the right place👍🏻

This establishment won't accept you if you don't drink alcohol. I paid €10 at the cash register, and he gave me €10 back and acted like I'd already paid. Be careful, he did that to make me look like a crook. Then the chef came over and said, "Hello, you still have to pay." That was inhumane.

Absolutely disappointing in terms of service. Our reservation via the restaurant's own website "seemed to have been lost." Luckily, we still got a table right away. However, they forgot about the menus. We helped ourselves with the online menu and, once they noticed, were able to order right away. Drinks came quickly. 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, no food in sight. The table next to us had already complained and was about to leave because they, too, had been waiting for 50 minutes. When we asked how long our four burgers would take and whether we could at least get fries for our 3-year-old, the only response we got was "The kitchen is doing its very best. I can't say when the food will arrive." It's a shame that there seems to be no way to communicate with the kitchen here. No offer, let alone a request, for new drinks. The more time passed, the more we were willing to just get up and leave. The food arrived a whopping 1:40 hours after ordering (9:40 p.m.). Absolutely unacceptable... and the place wasn't exactly bursting at the seams. Especially considering how they handled a child, we were very disappointed. We devoured the burgers in no time. They tasted good, even though higher-quality burger buns could have been used. The sauces come in plastic-wrapped containers on the plate. Not a very pretty plate. "Vegetarian patty" is chopped, grilled vegetables that are NOT in patty form on the burger, but rather loose inside the burger and thus fall apart while eating. Price-wise, it's around €25-30 per person, depending on the drink, which is a good price for fresh beef. Given the "service," we unfortunately won't be coming back.

We booked the brewing course here. The appointment was canceled three hours before the start date without any clear explanation. Since then, no response from the organizer. I haven't received the money, which had to be transferred in advance (without proof of payment), either.

How delicious can ribs be? Answer: Yes! So, so, so tender and juicy! The service was also absolutely fantastic. So friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely little place with a very diverse beer list and a decent menu with a fairly large selection. People usually go for the ribs, which are so tender they practically fall off the bone. The staff is also very friendly and always keeps an eye on your table, so you don't run out of things 😉

We had two different burgers, which were also very tasty. The salad we ordered was simply carelessly slapped into two burger boxes. It wasn't appetizing and really not worth the price.

They advertise the best ribs in town... and damn, they're right. The meat flows from the ribs, and the flavor is truly amazing. The extensive craft beer selection is also impressive. We look forward to our next visit.

The ambience is a pretty successful mix of DIY-industrial-Europallet charm, cool and cozy. The service that evening was similar, cool and charming. Dude type. The menu - at least when it comes to food - is small but good. There were three of us and unfortunately we all chose the same thing (🤷🏻‍♂️) Unfortunately I can only rate the Guacamole Burger. It's excellent. Anyone who likes craft beer will really get their money's worth. Huge selection. Overall, a great evening, we will definitely repeat it. PS.: The tequila is great - finally no Sierra 😏 Update: Guinness on tap - and as a logical consequence Irish Car Bombs! Life is so beautiful ❤️

I've been there twice with different groups, and everyone has always enjoyed it 😊 Everyone loved the burgers, ribs, and unusual desserts. They also offer a variety of beers and the service is friendly, fun, and fast 😊

We were there last Saturday and actually just wanted to have a quick beer. But we were given a very warm welcome and felt like we were in a local restaurant because of Bianca's great service. Great service and good beer.

It annoys me to no end that you can NEVER order food for pickup, but always have to eat in. Is that stupid drink you're supposed to order with it really worth missing out on a €60 order of ribs? For a while, they said they were getting a bigger grill, and then they'd have enough capacity for orders – but that was a year ago now, and it doesn't seem to have helped. I've already lost all desire to actually go to a restaurant because I don't like giving in to extortionists. (Not to mention that I'm just passing through Hanover and don't have time to eat...) It's a real shame, because the food was very good.

A really lovely bar/restaurant. We travel from Bremen several times a year just to eat because we like it so much. The ribs are perfect, and the other dishes are also very good. The drink selection is also very good, especially the beer selection. Basically, I would recommend making a reservation for dinner, as the restaurant is very busy. The atmosphere is rustic but very good.

We wanted to eat ribs, unfortunately they weren't ready at 6 p.m. and were only available from 7 p.m. The supplier had probably delivered too late. Are there points deducted because of this? Probably not, after all that says something about the operator's quality standards. So I switched to burgers, they were good too. However, I would have preferred the bun to be toasted. The beer selection is extraordinary, an extra star for that alone

Prices are a bit higher, but the portion size makes up for it, at least when it comes to the ribs. The burgers may well be worth the money, but the price is rather too high in relation to the portion size. Drink prices are local, but I'm happy to pay a euro more for special types of beer. Despite the full house, I never had the impression that the service was neglected. There is a risk of recurrence!

My friends and I went out to eat and were treated like total scum. When I asked, “Is there peanut in it?” (just to be sure), my friend got a funny look and the answer: “Why would there be peanut in it?” My other friend ordered sweet potato fries and didn’t get them. When he had to pay he was told that he had to pay it and that €2 wouldn't cost him his life. I don't think that works at all, I don't recommend it! That doesn't work at all!

Jo’s Food & Craft in der List is a real recommendation for anyone who likes fresh, creative cuisine. Nothing tastes like it's off the shelf here: from juicy burgers to crispy salads to specially marinated ribs, everything is homemade and delicious. Tip: wedges with wasabi dip! There is also a selection of over 20 craft beers that go perfectly with the dishes - great for beer lovers! Jo’s shows that the List can easily keep up with Linden’s burgers in terms of cuisine 😉

We are always very satisfied. The citizens are a dream. The Bambam Platter (ribs) is excellent. You will receive a friendly welcome. Ordering is quick and the service is friendly. The beer selection is huge. There you can also get something outside of conventional tastes. And as for the prices. Good things cost money. And I don't think what is being called is exaggerated. Luckily for me, the store is not available to me every day. Because that way it always remains something special for me, where I like to be.

It's just not true that this place has the best ribs in town - it's the best in the world! Okay, at least from Germany, but only because I haven't eaten any abroad. WORLD CLASS!! Buttery tender and a stunning marinade! Thanks! Come again!

Great food, quaint atmosphere, great service! Indoor & outdoor spaces available. Parking is difficult because everywhere is a residential area. Tip: Tuesdays are rib day with a larger portion at the same price. Also huge selection of beers.

Fast and nice service, very tasty ribs

We were here with a group of boys and ate burgers and ribs. The burgers are normal, not outstanding. The ribs are very good. Now to the operation. The men at the bar were very friendly and made you feel welcome. One of our waiters was already quite drunk. He didn't always understand what was said to him and was also unfriendly in a rather uncharming way.

Very nice discovery almost by chance. A warm and very lively establishment with a very welcoming owner who is delighted to be able to say a few words in French. You quickly feel at home there. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely go back.

The restaurant had just opened and was still quite cold when we left. The burger and wrap were quite tasty, but not above average. The food was barely more than lukewarm, even though it was served very quickly. The amount of sauces filled into small plastic pots could have been a little richer. Unfortunately, the highly touted chocolate cake was not worth a sin in terms of taste. Given the fairly high prices and mostly very positive reviews, we would have expected a little more overall.

We reserved a table in writing in mid-November and received this confirmation in writing. When we got there, we discovered that the shop is closed on Sundays! How can you confirm a table for us?! We drove for almost an hour and then returned home without having accomplished anything. And it was on our son's birthday, who was so excited about the ribs. When I asked - again in writing - how this could all be, I received exactly, nothing. Worst service ever, thank you for nothing.

Really a great bar, the food is great too. The ribs are particularly good. There are also many different craft beers. The atmosphere is also very rustic.

We had a salad and a veggie wrap, both of which were highly recommended. It would be nice if the vegetarian/vegan menu was expanded a little, as it was really very good. We would love to come back.

We went here to eat burgers, and as a vegetarian I also found something on the menu - all burgers are also vegetarian. I liked it and the portion size was perfect. In addition, the ambience and music are super harmonious and cool. Plus the lovely service staff, you just feel really comfortable.

I recently went to Jo's for the first time with my friend and went home as a very satisfied guest. The ambience was ok for me, the service, especially the friendliness of the employees, was as you would expect and the food was absolutely top! We both had the ribs and yes, perhaps the portion could have been a bit larger, but that's really not a negative. The taste and presentation are super tasty and appealing. The prices are crisp. You have to be aware of that. But, you also get something in return. We're going again today and are really looking forward to it!

We had the ribs here that were highly praised by haz and found them tasty, but not exceptional. In general, the portion could have been larger (we already had an extra strand). We also tried the chili con carne, which was also relatively standard. Here we were a bit overwhelmed by the amount of tortilla chips. Overall, I think the food is a bit too expensive.

Very nice welcome, we had a large salad plate and a dessert that was quickly put together. The employees in particular are very accommodating and you immediately feel at home.

One of the best places in Hannover. Not a cheap place but with a great atmosphere, awesome staff and amazing food. Ribs are a must, burgers are delicious and the variety of beer is super. Timo the owner is an amazing cool guy.

Food was prepared quickly and was tasty. The waitress was very attentive and really sweet 🥰. Would you go and steal my horses? Beer was good too. Furnishings are authentic.

I was there last week and tried the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were good, unfortunately a bit dark at the ends. The employees were nice and attentive. The ambience is okay and needs improvement.

I was here for the first time at short notice and I was really overwhelmed. The young lady in service was really extremely friendly (I've rarely seen that). The food (we chose 2x ribs) came incredibly quickly (maybe a 5 minute wait) and the portion was very large. We paid just over €50 for two ribs with drinks. I will definitely come back and try out the menu a little.

Best ribs in town! Tuesday recommendation!!

We ate at Jo’s more often. It was good every time and there is always something for everyone on the manageable menu. 5 well-deserved stars for that alone! :) This time we took the beer brewing course and it really impressed us! You get a lot of specialist knowledge from the owner Timo, you can brew your own beer and receive great instructions, and there are really delicious, different beers to try and a really sumptuous and delicious lunch. Kudos to the chef Alex. All in all, we were very generously entertained during the brewing course and learned a lot. If you could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Absolutely clear recommendation!

We were all very happy with the food, the service was friendly and attentive.

Really great, tender ribs with really good potato wedges and obviously homemade cole slaw. The burgers look really great too! The selection is actually quite small, but the quality is good! The chocolate cake is also really recommended. Really tart with a few sweet side dishes. The selection of drinks is excellent. A long menu of craft beers (local and from further afield), various gins and other spirits. The price is on the higher end, but you get something for it!

First of all - it's a shame that you can only give 5 stars. The evening was mega - an “ALL-ROUND PACKAGE”. The first contact is always the service...excellent - I can't describe it any other way. The employees welcomed us really well. NO "oh now I have to be friendly", no... it was very warm and friendly. The ribs...amazing!!! I would love to go there again this evening, but unfortunately I'm full 😉. I can only recommend to everyone... go, it's worth every minute. Hello, I'm so disappointed that I have to get rid of it! We went to Jo's today for the first time to eat the famous ribs... After 10 minutes the food arrives (I found it super quick!), 3 small pieces of meat, LUKEWARM, floating in the ketchup/BBQ sauce...although I emphasized that I would rather eat little or no sauce, with potato wedges (they were ok) and Colleslaw (nothing grated, and with green salad and yogurt on it...hmm...) I really don't know what to say about that... It's a real shame...I love ribs! But I'll never come here again🙈

A small restaurant in a corner building. The restaurant has excellent cuisine and the staff are always friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The menu is varied and offers some highly recommended dishes. The prices are reasonable. There is cold beer on tap. The Bam Bam platter (ribs) is highly recommended. Lovely again.

A real gastronomy, I rarely experience such attentive and friendly service today. The food is exceptionally good and the ambience is absolutely harmonious. We were so satisfied that we reserved a table again within 2 weeks and this time it was an excellent evening too, thanks to the service and the kitchen!

Went here at prime time when the weather was good and was lucky to get a table outside. Although it felt like all the tables were occupied, the employees and the boss (who runs just like his employees) were super nice, competent and quick. Drinks and food came very quickly despite the capacity. The menu reads very creatively, but at first glance the dishes looked quite expensive. The burgers we ordered were simply huge, visually made with love (despite how busy they were) and tasted absolutely amazing. You can argue about the price, it's not cheap, but in my opinion it's appropriate for the quality of the food and service. Absolute recommendation, anyone who complains about the food here has only themselves to blame!

Wonderful place where we were served very well. The beer was fantastic. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, but the ambience and the service suggest that it must be good. Definitely a good address if you are in Hanover.

I've been there for the first time. I had a burger (Take it Cheesy) which was very tasty. It wasn't anything outstanding, but it was solid and tasty. Since I don't drink beer, I had a spritzer which was also really good. The guys I was there with tried different beers and were very impressed. About the ambience: The shop is beautifully decorated and invites you to linger. What should be highlighted is the nice service. Everyone was very friendly and in a good mood and our orders were delivered very quickly. Be it the food or the drinks, everything came very quickly. I would definitely come back again.

The (really) best burger (“Guacamalteke”, but also “pretty best friends”) that I have ever eaten. As I told the boss verbally: We'll be back after my vacation in the USA. And maybe this burger will remain the best of my life even after my American vacation. By the way, the salads were also 1. Delicious & 2. Even though they were salads, they were really filling. Addendum after vacation in the USA: For us, it remains the best burger on European soil so far. But especially in the homeland of the burger, California, there are really good ones on every corner. In all sorts of variations. A New Zealand restaurant in San Diego (Queenstown), for example, particularly stood out.
