Wir haben einen wunderbaren Abend hier verbracht. Das Fleisch war ausgezeichnet, die Beilagen und Saucen sehr lecker und die Weinauswahl groß. Besonders positiv fiel uns der Service auf: höflich, aufmerksam und angenehm distanziert. Draußen sitzt man in einem wirklich schönen Ambiente. Für die Qualität der gehobenen Küche greift man natürlich etwas tiefer in die Tasche, was für das Gesamtergebnis aber absolut gerechtfertigt ist.

Finger weg! Eines der schlechtesten Steaks, die ich je in einem Restaurant gegessen habe. Wenn man bedenkt, dass ein österreichisches Rib-Eye-Steak 64 Euro für 300 g kostet, ist das absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Das Fleisch war unterdurchschnittlich, die Zubereitung mittelmäßig, dazu gab es einen guten Pinot Noir im Glas.

Sehr gutes Restaurant in toller Lage, Qualität von Fleisch und Meeresfrüchten hoch, den Garpunkt fast auf den Punkt getroffen ;-) Als Vorspeise zum Teilen unbedingt das (warme) Brot mit gesalzener Butter probieren - köstlich. Das bestellte Glas Wein zum Hauptgang brauchte eine Nachfrage, das "Wow" beim Dessert in dieser Preisklasse hat Luft nach oben. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend, wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren schon öfter in diesem Restaurant und ehrlich gesagt finde ich die Steaks dort einfach hervorragend. Wahrscheinlich die besten in ganz München. Auch die Einrichtung und die gedämpfte Beleuchtung gefallen mir sehr. Allerdings hat sich der Service verschlechtert, und nach dem letzten Besuch werde ich erst einmal abwarten. Wann immer ich in München bin ist meine erste Anlaufstelle für ein top Steak Dinner der Grill im Künstlerhaus. Heute bei meinem mittlerweile 5. Besuch im Grill wurde ich leider schwer enttäuscht und das Restaurant hat mich als Gast leider verloren. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten tatsächlich einen schönen Tisch am Ende, eure gewünscht. Leider war in demselben Bereich eine große Gruppe. Und da hat man schnell bemerkt, dass der Service entweder unterbesetzt oder überfordert war. Alles hat etwas länger gedauert, die bestellte Weinflasche wurde am Tisch abgestellt aber dann erstmal 15 Minuten ungeöffnet am Tisch gelassen. Wir hatten unsere Steaks in drei Garstufen. Medium Rare, Medium und Medium Well. Keines der drei Steaks war richtig gebraten. Die unteren Garstufen waren zu durch und die Medium Well war eher Medium. Dazu kam, dass die Steaks und vor allem die Beilagen lauwarm bis kalt waren. Meine einzige Erklärung dafür ist, dass das Essen schon fertig am Pass stand aberaber unsere Servicekraft noch fleißig mit der großen Gruppe am tratschen war. In der Zeit ist unser Essen kalt geworden und die Steaks sind weitergegart. Die Reaktion auf die falschen Garstufen war ein Schulterzucken nach dem Motto ist ja nah dran und er lässt sich was einfallen. Es gab dann einen Grappa oder Kaffee. In einem Restaurant dieser Klasse muss das Steak ohne wenn und aber zurückgenommen und neu zubereitet werden. Zwischendurch waren wir eine halbe Stunde ohne Wasser und 15 Minuten vor unseren leeren Tellern. Von der Servicekraft lange Zeit keine Spur. Ich bin beim Trinkgeld generell großzügig aber heute wurde leider nichts verdient. Die Servicekraft hat darauf in einer unfreundlichen Art reagiert. Keine Entschuldigung für das Essen, kein „schönen Abend“ sondern einfach wortlos abgezogen. Sehr schade, da ich gerne hier gegessen habe aber ich werde mich nun nach einem anderen Steakhaus umsehen müssen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant im Zentrum von München. Es bietet hervorragend zubereitetes Fleisch und eine gute Weinauswahl. Nicht zu verwechseln mit dem italienischen Restaurant im Erdgeschoss, es besteht keine Verbindung zu diesem. Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Abend mit Freunden verbracht!

Die Küche wird der Top-Lage nicht gerecht! Dass es teuer werden würde, wusste man im Vorfeld. (Sarkasmus an) "Der Laden lässt sich sogar die extra Prise Salz bezahlen" (Sarkasmus aus) Mein Filet war nicht „medium-well“, sondern „durch“! Das Grillen eines Stücks Fleisch sollten die Meister des Grills eigentlich im Schlaf beherrschen, war leider nicht so. Der Rest unserer Truppe war allerdings glücklich (wir wollen ja gerecht und objektiv urteilen ;-)). Was jedoch gar nicht geht, ist, dass man auf der letzten Position der Rechnung einfach 1,00 € draufschlägt! Auf Nachfrage, was dieser Betrag solle, bekamen wir die Antwort, es handle sich um eine Spende. Jetzt wird man also nicht einmal mehr um eine Spende gebeten, sondern sie wird direkt auf die Rechnung gesetzt. Sorry, aber ich entscheide selbst, wohin mein Geld geht, auch wenn's nur ein Euro ist. Ich persönlich werde kein Fan dieses Ladens. Für diese Preiskategorie gibt es in der bayerischen Metropole mehr als genug überzeugendere Alternativen.

3/5 - although allegedly ranking amongst the world’s 101 best steak houses (for whatever that‘s worth), this is not a recommendation. The room was heated up like a sauna. Service was mostly friendly, but at times unprofessional and in particular not very knowledgable (for example: if the question for a Tartare „aller-retour“ is met with weird looks and raising the eybrows, the waiter clearly has no clue of cuisine). Both the wine and food menus are underwhelming - no particulaly exciting cuts or meats, and somehow only a very narrow selection of whines, some of which then take 30 minutes to cool down to a drinkable temp. The meats (porterhouse and tomahawk, medium) were alright although a bit tough and definately do not compare to any other reputable steakhouse in both taste and quality. Wait for 2 steaks was roughly 40 minutes after starters - not acceptable. After 11pm, the bathrooms were a mess and had no more paper towels to dry your hands. In conclusion: if at all amongst the world‘s best steakhouses, this one for sure can‘t rank higher than 102

I dined at The Grill restaurant on July 30th. The ambiance is exceptionally stylish and appealing, and the food was also impressive in terms of quality and taste. Unfortunately, the service that evening was not up to scratch. It seemed as if the staff were either overwhelmed, understaffed, or unmotivated. We had to wait an unusually long time both to take our order and to receive the bill. Due to the long wait, I decided not to tip. The waiter's response was unfortunately unprofessional – there was neither a friendly "goodbye" nor a final greeting. Especially in a restaurant of this price range, I expect not only good food but also consistently courteous service. In my opinion, there is room for improvement in this regard.

Worst service in a long time – and for the money! The staff is completely disinterested; they bumped into my partner twice. We weren't even asked once if we wanted to order anything else despite repeated eye contact. Drinks and food are served without comment. A lady working at the front desk is rather disinterested and, if anything, only answers briefly. It's a shame that they put someone on duty to catch your emotions, but you don't get a warm welcome or even notice when you leave. It's a shame that you want to go out for an expensive meal, but the staff doesn't even speak to you, just nods or makes hand gestures. It's a shame about the food, but the service isn't worth it!

Quite weird to have a Cesar salad on the menu without chicken which is a key ingredient in the cesar salad. Disgusting service, mediocre food. My husband and I came for dinner, having previously booked a table for two for 19:00. We were seated on the veranda "by the wall". Firstly, no view, secondly, the sun was shining in the face of one of the guests (at a temperature of 29 degrees outside). Almost all the tables on the opposite side (with a view and without the sun) were free. We asked to move, we were rudely told "don't you see that all the tables there are for 4 people? And the sun will set in half an hour anyway, you'll have to wait". At least 3 tables (out of 5 occupied) had 2 guests, not 4. We left an hour later, no one came to all the free "booked" tables. Half the restaurants remained empty. The steak was ordinary, or rather not the desired doneness, but the taste was ok. Very tasty tartare, only because of it I gave 2 stars, but even in Tartare they screwed up - I'm attaching a photo of burnt toast. In short - don't waste your time on rude service and mediocre food

This restaurant is simply fantastic. Please don't confuse it with the Italian restaurant on the ground floor; the entrance is the same, but here you can simply walk in and over to the stairs and then up (it says so on a sign there too 😉). There, you'll be greeted warmly and shown to your table. The service is generally very friendly and attentive, which isn't always the case given the relatively high volume of service. The clientele is international. Prices are on the higher end, but that's certainly justified given the taste and quality of the food. So, thumbs up here too 👍🏻 What might not be to everyone's taste is the fact that it's generally quite loud, making it unsuitable for a cozy dinner for two.

A very good restaurant that we came to and experienced by making a reservation during our Munich trip, based on prior recommendation. Their meat, surf & turf, wagyu meat varieties were amazing. Lamb meat was legendary. The soup was beyond amazing. From salads to starters, every flavor is successful. The best ingredients were used, right down to the dessert. All 5 people left very happy. Garaons are experts in their business. I definitely recommend you try it.

The grill in the Künstlerhaus was a great surprise. The restaurant is hip and modernly furnished. The view from the large windows is cool. The selection of wines was large, there was a great Burgundy. The service is friendly, friendly and accommodating. Because we had to wait a bit for our reserved table, we were immediately treated to a beer to tide us over. The kitchen does its job to ensure the overall experience is right. What we were served was really, really tasty. It's not just a barbecue joint where only men can find something. Also has a great selection of other foods. All in all - great, clear recommendation!

We've been coming here for many years :) A real recommendation. And be careful... The line at the entrance belongs to the downstairs restaurant. So just walk past it on the left! ... and up the red stairs. The service is very attentive, the ambiance is elegant, and if you get a window seat, you'll enjoy a beautiful view. There's a large selection of different meats. The fillet is cooked perfectly (specify the doneness when ordering). The side dishes are deliciously prepared. The selection of spirits is also extensive. The staff are happy to provide information and recommendations, including wine, of course.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait in line in front of L'Osteria for about 30 minutes, although it wasn't clear that one line was for reservations and another for those without a reservation. The organization therefore does not fit at the front and back. It was also unpleasant for the people who wanted to get out because they had to squeeze through. However, the employee confidently completed everything. The view into the kitchen was cool, but we didn't see much of the waiter. The pizzas were delicious and huge. The volume of the music was uncomfortably loud as we had to talk very loudly to hear each other. Not a restaurant I would go to again or anyone would recommend. It's a real shame because the rooms are very nice.

The ambience and location are great. It looks very chic and calm and the view outside is very nice. However, we will not come back a second time. Although the starters were really very good, the main courses and side dishes were inedible. We had fillet that was completely dry and bland and some of the side dishes had such unappetizing aftertastes that I couldn't eat it. If you want to eat steak, you should choose another restaurant.

An absolute experience. As a guest, you feel welcome right from the reception and are looked after by attentive and courteous waiters throughout your entire visit. The food was excellent – a delight for the senses – and the glasses never remained empty for long. The advice was particularly impressive: the menu offers a lot, but the waiters' recommendations take the taste experience to a whole new level. A personal highlight was the moment when a colleague was recommended the perfect Stellenbosch wine based on a description - I had been looking for Blaauwklippen without prior consultation and so I couldn't resist and had to join in. To top it all off, there was a crème brûlée that tasted simply heavenly. An all-round successful culinary adventure.

Update original review: After our previous visit, we started the next evening with high expectations, which unfortunately were not completely fulfilled. There were little things Service and in the kitchen, which is on made the difference in the end: It starts when we arrive: Instead of using the coat rack, we were offered to hang our jackets over the chairs, Arrived at the table: On the last visit, the waiter was 101% attentive and knew before me what I actually wanted. Unfortunately not this time. Eat: The bread place setting and the tartare are great, no ifs and buts! The meat, on the other hand, was no longer as extraordinary as last time. Had the feeling it wasn't straight away Grill was brought to us. The chilli pesto and creamed spinach are bland and the herb butter or the steak is too cold that it would melt. Dessert was ok, but nothing special. For the sake of completeness, I'll leave my old review: We had a great evening for two. Service great, food great, atmosphere great! We'll be back

Unfortunately I didn't get to eat. My table was given away after 5 minutes late but it was the person who was seated who made it for me. Consistently, other guests were preferred who apparently simply had to be a little older to maintain his favor. The higher the age, the more preference is given to you, completely fine if you do well with it, but since I'm a paying guest like everyone else and these aren't exactly gold rush times, I just wish the restaurant all the best with this approach after this disappointing experience:)

Disappointing experience at the Grill in the Künstlerhaus Unfortunately, our visit to the Grill in the Künstlerhaus was a big disappointment. The taste of the food was extremely disappointing, and both the steak, the side dishes and the sauce came to the table cold. After our complaint, the steak was briefly heated under the salamander so that it was warm on the outside but remained cold on the inside. The “truffle potato gratin” was particularly annoying – the potatoes were still raw inside. The Béarnaise sauce was again served to us cold, with the explanation that it was basically cold - an explanation that was completely new to us. Our criticism was not addressed and the waiter reacted unprofessionally and with little customer focus. Unfortunately, we looked in vain for friendliness and service that evening. The fact that a restaurant in this upscale price range is half empty at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening before the third Advent speaks for itself. We had fond memories of the grill from before, but the quality has now dropped so much that we certainly won't be coming back. There are definitely better alternatives in Munich such as Little London, El Gaucho or Prime Steakhouse - unfortunately these were fully booked, but in the future we will make reservations in good time so that we can enjoy a really good dinner. Conclusion: Absolutely disappointing - neither service nor quality justify the prices.

Totally amazing food and atmosphere. I went there for me birthday and they even gave a candle for me to blow with the dessert order. The seafood sharing menu totally out of this world. Amazing food. There desserts were really tasty. The cocktail wasnt what i expected but still gave the buzz and taste wise weren't bad.

An institution in Munich. Steaks & Co. of the highest quality and an exquisite ambience. The entrance is a bit hidden in another restaurant. First thing in the evening you have to wade through the crowd of people in the restaurant on the ground floor until you reach the actual staircase. I ordered a surf & turf with lobster. Instead of half a lobster, I was suddenly brought a steak with shrimp. I complained. After coordination with the kitchen, they apologized and informed me that the lobster would be prepared quickly. But they decided to leave the plate with me for now and deliver the lobster later. Confused, I began to taste the delicious steak. Then there was a rush: you pulled the plate from the table and disappeared into the kitchen. Then to my surprise: a new steak with lobster. The first steak and shrimp were probably thrown away. Too bad for the food. I would have continued eating the steak and the shrimp too. I wasn't asked. I probably didn't have a good day. I have been an enthusiastic guest for many years. In summer there is also a lovely outdoor terrace.

We spend the evening with a party of 2 there. Don‘t be shocked if you have to first fight your way into a crowded and noisy pizzeria first, once you walk up the stairs you enter into a different culinary world. The service was very good. Just the right mixture of being young super friendly people, attentive, and efficient. Don‘t be shocked if you need to pay for the bread and butter. Unusual and I would prefer to have the 6€ hidden in the regular price, but well worth it. We had dry aged Australian rib-eye and carabineros. Both cooked to perfection and served together for sharing. The carabineros were insanely good. The beef was so excellent I had to withhold the urge to search for a dry aging fridge for home. Side orders of outstanding fries (I am a french fries snob😂) and also very good wild brokkoli. We were very happy with the food. Since we didn‘t want to order a whole bottle of wine, we had to revert to the open wine list. I wish the selection was a tad better. The wine did not manage to keep up to the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is on par with the food. Modern interior with dimmed lights, but I didn‘t feel it was dark. (I usually don‘t like dark restaurants and prefer them to be bright) Only 4 stars for atmosphere, because this place - like many restaurants in Munich - has a DJ who slowly transfer restaurants into clubs. We did not stay long enough to judge if that was happening here as well, but overall noise level kept rising during our two hours there. we rather enjoy quiet places, so not the restaurants fault. Overall I am looking forward to my next visit!

We went the restaurant with my kids and my husband with reservation at 15.11.24 at 19.30. They gave us a table far away from people sitting inside. We were only people sitting in that side although other side was crowded. when we asked them why did you put us away from people they said all the tables are booked before us. They seem like annoyed with kids, very sad experience

Sorry, I like the restaurant and the service staff are great, but the food was really not what would be expected in the price range. The rib eye (for 57 euros without side dishes) was too flaky and visually not very unique. The starter was boring. The extra side dishes are tiny. At least you could add fleur de sel. (at an 87 euro dry age). I'm sorry. We won't do it anymore. Kind of a shame. Ps: The queue down to the Osteria is a deterrent and reduces the quality of the “grill”.

If you want to pay high end price for a supermarket quality meat, this is the place to go. Lets be clear, this is a steak house that promises to deliver high end quality meat. 90€ 200g “wagyu” cut that was rubbery and tasteless. No marbeling, this should be considered a fraud. After describing my frustration to the waiter the only answer I got was: “we never had a complaint” which is not only a massive lie but also a huge lack of professionalism. Dont waste your time and money coming to this place. I was expecting a proper goodbye meal before leaving Munich and was left with a sense that I was completely ripped of my money. It was the most disapointing dinning experience of my life. I came home hungry.

It is best to reserve a table in advance. Long queues in front of the restaurant without a reservation! Huge pizzas and pasta for a fair price. It is also possible to order only half portions! I enjoyed it and therefore I recommend the restaurant!

Wir waren spontan zum Essen dort.Hatten nicht reserviert, haben aber trotzdem einen Tisch bekommen. Man sollte besser reservieren, Restaurant ist sehr gut besucht. Wir hatten Spaghetti Meeresfrüchte und Knoblauchbrot zum Essen bestellt. Das Essen ist mega lecker, die Spaghetti sind selbst gemacht. Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wartezeit bis wir unser Essen serviert bekamen war gering, trotz vollem Restaurant. Würde jederzeit wieder dort Essen gehen.

Wir kamen aufgrund der guten Bewertungen zum Mittagessen hierher. Leider war der Besuch insgesamt enttäuschend. Uns wurde beim Betreten des Gartens mitgeteilt, dass es an diesem Tag nur Pizza gäbe. Der Garten selbst ist wunderschön. Wir bestellten Bier und eine Pizza. Irgendwie vergaßen oder verlegten die Kellnerinnen unsere Pizza, und wir warteten über eine Stunde auf unsere Margherita. Wir waren hungrig und unzufrieden und können dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen. Da wir befürchteten, unseren Zug zu verpassen, ließen wir uns die Pizza schließlich einpacken und mitnehmen.

Pino und Maria sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Komme seit Jahren und bin froh das es noch originelle Italiener der alten Schule noch gibt. Spaghetti Scampi war Super, Vielen Dank!!

SENSATIONELL! kann man nur empfehlen! Unbedingt reservieren, es kann voll werden. Offene Küche mit den besten Zutaten! Preislich etwas gehobener, aber absolut fair für die Qualität. Der Service ist eine 11von10 sehr freundlich und familiär.
