Ca'Doro Restaurant & Pizza in München

We wanted to visit the restaurant today with five children (8-11 years old) and a colleague as part of a guided outing (around 2 p.m.). Despite plenty of available seats, we were turned away by reception, who explained that the restaurant caters more to business customers. A restaurant that values ​​its image should be aware of how such decisions reflect to the outside world. Unfortunately, the first impression was anything but inviting.

Oh my God. Absolutely divine pizza and pasta. I generally avoid pizza and pasta but both were of absolute top quality in this restaurant. Our last day of the visit and we were staying next door to the restaurant so decided to give it a good. Absolutely fabulous and what an authentic Italian restaurant should be.

Good restaurant, open until 1:00 a.m. The chef is Italian, I think, but he could also be Albanian :D The pizza tastes good, but the salad isn't! Very good service from the men, not the women. The lady probably wanted to say, "Hey, you trash, what are you doing here with your girlfriend at midnight? Leave me alone." :P She was rude because she wanted to make a snack, but she should have shown us the table (even though I could find it).

Incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared dishes. The homemade gnocchi are a dream. The service is very friendly and attentive. A real surprise in the Bahnhofsviertel. Highly recommended.

Waiting time was longer than expected - prices on a par with Munich standards. The quality of the food was excellent, though - so a wait was bearable. So, the service was a bit disappointing, but overall, it was very good.

The service of the Italian bald guy with dark circles under his eyes was the worst I have ever experienced. We ordered a pizza, a pasta and a drink. The bald guy angrily asked directly why there was only one drink? After that, he didn't ask when delivering the food or paying the bill. He put the drink cup on the table. Even when we made eye contact with him, he avoided it. But I saw him talking and laughing with other European and American customers in English. We waited for more than 40 minutes for the meal. When we paid the bill, the bill was thrown directly on the table. There was a blank column for you to fill in the service fee. I didn't know what we were served. He didn't even lend us a pen. He asked us how much we should pay. He didn't show politeness until we said 10% and gave us a very fake smile. I don't know what we ate? He was just asking for trouble😖 If you want to experience paying service fee without service, you can go there😒

We enjoyed the food, and the young waiter was very friendly. I found the tone among colleagues somewhat inappropriate. Even in stressful situations, respectful interaction should be possible.

We arrived around 11:30. The outside area was quite full, but we were still allowed to sit inside. The waiter was solely responsible for both inside and outside at that time. He was very friendly and accommodating and made a real effort to please all the guests. He remained friendly despite the "stress." In addition to being solely responsible for the guests, he also had to prepare all the drinks at the bar himself. He was quite busy, so it took a little longer, but you could see that he was doing his best. So we were happy to wait, but we also had all the time in the world. He doesn't have 100 hands. At around 12:00, he got reinforcements in the service area and at the bar. The food was great; the spaghetti carbonara was really tasty. The pizza had a thin base and a typically Neapolitan, fluffy crust.

This was our second visit to this restaurant during our stay in Munich. We stumbled upon it by chance the first time, but the second time we wanted to. The food and service are simply wonderful. The finest Italian dishes, paired with a very good wine. A dream 🥰 The service was very attentive; we had a really nice lady serving us twice! All in all, it's not exactly cheap, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit when I'm back in Munich.

I don’t know who wrote all these good reviews, but carbonara here is disgusting. Pasta is too boiled (not al dente), souse is too fatty (like in mac&cheese), bacon is deep fried as a shoe sole. I simply couldn’t swallow it All guests here are speaking English, felt it just a place for tourists who are waiting their train 😒

A fine dining italian restaurant located at the corner of the street, having some vegetarian options like pasta and pizza. We ordered Margherita pizza,burrata pizza,a pasta and French fries. The pasta and pizza were nice but the potato of frenchfries were sweet. Like majority of European restaurants 4 people should order 4 dishes even if the portions are large. The sparkling lemonade was good and the orange lemonade was just like fanta drink. The staff was not very friendly but replied to the point could be because she was managing many tables alone. Overall reasonably priced with good ambience.

The food is delicious, but the staff is really annoying. The other staff were nice, but this staff's service is terrible. When I looked at other tables, they mostly treated guests who came alone poorly..ㅠ

Unfortunately, it’s hard to feel relaxed or enjoy the experience here — especially when dining alone. The broken name card and inattentive service left a poor impression. Perhaps the staff were overwhelmed, but this still falls short of what you’d expect from a restaurant of this level.

I had a very nice pasta here. Staff was very accommodating, and the waitress serving me spoke excellent English which made things easier. On the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion.

Waiter wasn’t friendly when I asked for a table for 1. Sat down and it took a long time trying to get the waiter’s attention to place an order but was told to wait. He was really slow when there wasn’t a lot of customers in the restaurant. I got up and left.

Mixed experience. We got a table very quickly on a Saturday evening (reserved online half an hour in advance). The waiting only started afterwards: we received the menu relatively quickly, the ordering of the dishes and drinks had been a long time coming, the drinks came quite late and the food much later. But it was still fine for us, others who came after us had to wait much longer just for the menu. In the original carbonara, the bacon cubes were extremely burnt, it shouldn't have been sent out of the kitchen like that. The taste, without the charcoal bits, was very good. For dessert there was tiramisu, which was delicious in itself, but in between there were always pieces of gelatine, so I had to ask myself why they were in the tiramisu at all. It was quite noisy, the waiters were quite hectic but still not efficient, which explained the long waiting times. All in all, I wouldn't come again.

All dishes served taste sensational. We were there and inside with two small children. Despite the hectic activity outside, it was very quiet. Great food! Pizza was great, entrecote was great, homemade fries were great, rosé wine was excellent, even the pasta was very tasty for the little ones. They can also make espresso. The prices were okay. And all of this despite being in close proximity to the train station. The service from Robert who served us was also impeccable. Overall there are five stars across the board. Respect!

Goat-Beard’s Pizzeria: a disaster wrapped in dough! Grumpy, gipsy-vibe dude with a vibrating goat beard lost it over their glitchy reservation system (sent us TWO confirmations, then blamed us for their mess). His charm? Think angry troll. The “Italian” pizza? A 2cm-thick doorstop with okay taste, barely saving the day. Avoid this cranky crust catastrophe!

The server, Same (Sammy), is such an engaging, likeable guy who makes you feel like his friend, not just his customer. My pizza was EXCELLENT, just like Same's service! Also a thank you to the Mercure Hotel registration desk for recommending this great restaurant.

Surprisingly impressed with the restaurant; busy and cosy, yet modern. Service began very well, but ended up slow towards the end unfortunately. House wine was nice, food was lovely - we had entrees and pasta mains. Good value for the setting.

It's a nice and fancy restaurant with good pizza and pasta. The staff was very patient with us, but also attentive, in particular to whether we needed more drinks and we never felt rushed despite staying there for an extended time. The desserts were also really good. Considering the location, we were expecting a lot less than what we got. Definitely a bit on the pricey side, but you also get good quality and an authentic experience.

Bad experience: I understand that it is the week of Bauma and the owner would have filled the place anyway even without our reservation, but being rude and asking for information after 50 minutes of waiting from the booked time and replying to a customer "I don't need money, if you have problems I'll shut down - for me you can go to the Chinese on the corner" is abhorrent. The owner was terribly rude, not only does he not keep to the timetable, but he also uses very inappropriate ways and words. And thank goodness they write to you in the confirmation email that if you don't arrive within 5 minutes of the booked time, they'll give the table away. In the end we were forced to wait 50 minutes because on the Friday evening of Bauma with customers you can no longer find a place anywhere at the last minute. It's a real shame, because the pizza is also good and the place welcoming, but it's not worth the gamble. Furthermore, when asked to have a plate of vegetables as an appetizer, we were told that it is only a side dish for the meat and without ordering that they would not have brought it to us. I really recommend taking the owner's suggestion and going to the restaurant on the corner.

I asked for a small Ceasar salad and the server said he would only give me a regular Size I asked to cancel after waiting 40 mins (it wasn’t busy) he said no, then I waited another 10 mins I then needed to leave so asked for it to go He charged me for a chicken Ceasar salad - I don’t eat meat $33 euros later I leave with food I don’t want.

Antonella has given me the best service I’ve ever had. She is very kind, professional and always smiling. She made my experience truly enjoyable.

I had the worst dining experience at this Italian restaurant and would strongly advise others to avoid it. From the moment we walked in, the staff was unfriendly and dismissive. The service was shockingly slow, and the waitstaff seemed annoyed whenever we asked for anything. Worst of all, my partner and I experienced blatant racism from one of the servers, who made snide remarks under their breath and treated us differently from other customers. It was humiliating and completely unacceptable. As for the food—it was barely edible. The pasta was overcooked and swimming in greasy sauce, the "fresh" bread tasted stale, . Overpriced, poorly made, and served with a side of discrimination—this place is an absolute disgrace. Save your money and dignity by dining elsewhere. Zero stars.

I am a big fan of pizza and I have tried a lot of them all over Europe. This, in my opinion is the best ever pizza that I had eaten. I recommend. The quality has a price and it goes for it.

The food was very tasty and relatively inexpensive. Despite the restaurant being full, we were always served quickly. The only downside was the ambience. There were six of us sitting at a table for four people and the waiters always had to squeeze behind us because the tables were so narrow.

The two of us ate at Ca'D'oro on a Friday evening (reservation). The pizzas were excellent (bufala, pesto), the cheese cake was highly recommended for dessert, the tiramisu could have had a much creamier cream for my taste. We sat right by the window, but unfortunately it was a bit drafty (I think that the window (or terrace door) is open for the street tables in summer). There were only tables for two on our side, and you could have a nice conversation and also have enough distance from other tables. On the opposite side there were larger tables for groups, for example, and it was significantly louder there. But for us it was really pleasant to eat. The price is very high (~100€ for 2 people), but not as cramped as in other Munich restaurants.

At first, I wasn't keen on the idea of ​​eating in the Bahnhofsviertel district. But Ca'D'oro was a really good choice! Excellent pizza, high-quality ingredients, good drinks, and a sophisticated, quiet atmosphere! Top!

We were here spontaneously yesterday because our hotel is only 3 minutes away. Now I would come here even if the hotel was an hour away. Its situated across from the station and our hotel, the Sofitel.We booked about an hour before we wanted to eat to make sure we could secure a table. When we were arrived we were seated in a cosy table by the window. The food was absolutely delicious, but prices are very much on the high side. The only downside was frosty service, otherwise a great dinner.

Our company dinner at Ca'D'oro was a complete success! The Neapolitan pizza was to die for – fluffy crust, perfect toppings and full of flavor. We were also completely impressed by the antipasti and pasta. The stylish, modern ambience invites you to feel at home, and the service was first-class: friendly, fast and very attentive. Absolutely recommended for groups and connoisseurs!

By far the best fried calamari I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection. Presentation was awesome! Smells really really good and tastes even better. And their margherita pizza is very good. Highly recommended!!

If you are looking for a corner of Italian cuisine abroad, Ca' d'Oro offers an overall positive experience, with some details to improve. The food is typically Italian and of good quality. However, we found the amount of mozzarella to be a bit excessive, which tended to overpower the other flavours. Despite this, they were definitely tasty. The place is medium in size, but with more tables than necessary, which makes the atmosphere a little too crowded and at times uncomfortable. Despite this, the environment is welcoming and well looked after. The service was a little confusing. The waitresses are very kind and helpful, and speak Italian, which makes the experience more familiar for those arriving from Italy. However, the waiting times were too long: we waited a long time to receive two pizzas, which is an aspect that could discourage the more impatient. As for the prices, they are average for the place, but for us Italians used to paying around 8 euros for a pizza, they are a bit high. It's not surprising for an Italian restaurant abroad, but it's worth keeping in mind. In summary, Ca' d'Oro is a good option for those who want to enjoy quality Italian food, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We went in to the restaurant after a long journey from the UK. It is close to the train station. When we went in, it was a nice surprise to feel the nice and cosy atmosphere. Menu had a lot to offer. We both settled with pizza with glass of wine for each. Pizzas were delicious and looking great as well. Although I normally hardly finished a small pizza, I finished it without any complain. Service was good too.

The food itself was good - okay. The ambience could be better. What I find really extreme are the prices for what you get. It's better to go somewhere else and get more for your money... Service was good. Overall, unfortunately overpriced.

We had to wait over an hour for our food. The reason given was that the printer for the orders in the kitchen was broken and no one noticed. The waiter also emphasized again that it was not his fault. How can the waitress not notice that the food they ordered just doesn't come and the guests are waiting? After asking repeatedly, they said it would take another five minutes - after 15 minutes the food finally arrived along with a simple apology.

I was very satisfied with the visit, both in terms of the pizza and the ambience. A really, really friendly young man was responsible for us (with a tattoo on his neck, unfortunately without a name tag), who left nothing to be desired. The music was a bit too progressive for me, but that's really just a matter of taste.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children. We asked for tap water and were told that this would incur a charge. This is not unknown to us - but we were very surprised when told it was 4 euros per glass! After realising that the menu sold soft drinks at the same price, we asked to change our order (within 2 minutes of making the orginal order). The waiter said this was impossible - so we asked for the manager who also told us this was impossible as "the drinks had already been poured" and was quite confrontational. We (politely) said we were unhappy with the restaurant and said we wanted to leave. At this the manager said that since we had already ordered, the waiter would be personally charged for our drinks. I'm not sure if this was a fiction designed to make us feel guilty and stay - or actually their policy to their staff. While we didn't want the waiter to be charged - we could not possibly support a restaurant with a policy that applies penalties to its own staff. So, indeed we left. At all times, we were polite - but quite shocked at the attitude of this restaurant. I cannot comment on the quality of the food as we left before eating anything.
