It's a bit of a small bar but the beers are good.

Overpriced drinks and cocktails, clueless waitress. I guess it is reliant on the tourist trade, sad but seems to be the way these days. Plenty of more reasonable bars in Heidelberg

Had a cheeseburger that was dry and just bad. Half went back, I preferred to be hungry, especially for the price asked

Just in for beers and footy . Sadly footy got changed for American which disgruntled me and to be fair staff eventually got my screen back to UK footy do thank you guys. Our barrel table was v wonky so could do with strengthening or binning ( near window). Fairly typical Irish bar in Germany. Cheers

The room for one night is fine, but the restaurant has nothing wrong with it. I recommend booking with more people. Excellent beer. It was a beautiful evening. I recommend

Old Irish pub in the middle of Heidelberg's pedestrian zone.

No visit to the hotel, just a few hours in the restaurant. I think the karaoke offer is positive for the guests. Otherwise, music on both floors was way too loud, noise instead of sound. No conversation possible in the group, you have to shout at each other. Staff and guests overall nice. With a few improvements, especially in terms of noise, it would be a good location.

Well run atmospheric Irish pub in central location. We watched 2 games at once while enjoying a chat, not possible in every bar.

Good simple pup with hotel rooms, the rooms are good if you can walk easily as they are on the 2nd floor and can only be reached by stairs

I was passing through and watched the second Bundesliga here around lunchtime. Perfect for a beer and snacks. Everything was fine. I'd love to come back

A delicious cold 🍺 beer! Either in the back garden or at the front on the promenade of the old town in the middle of the hustle and bustle...depending on your mood. What more could anyone want!?

About the pub (I didn't know the hotel), lots of people and variety of beers and whiskeys. Bad food, very bad. A bad fish and chips, scarce and bland. Also expensive and poorly served.

Amazing place, great Karaoke, very fair prices for drinks and food, and before I left the pub the manager got my plastic cups for my beer😅

Went to the Pup twice in the evening with karaoke and live music. Simply amazing atmosphere, chilled people, cool drinks and a great team. Typical of a good pup. We recommend! We'd love to come back.

Drank 2 beers, lost 14 euros. Unfortunately too expensive.

I recently reserved a table at 6 p.m. for the Germany-Spain game. The reservation was confirmed and moved to 5:30 p.m. two days later without my intervention. I called and said that unfortunately I could only make it until 6 p.m. It was confirmed to me that 6pm would not be a problem. On the day of the reservation, I and my companion stood in front of the door at 6 p.m. behind a queue of 10 people. When it was our turn I showed my confirmation email and the unfriendly gentleman at the door just said "It's 6:15 p.m., the table is taken". I told him that I was there at 6 p.m. and the only reason it was 6:15 p.m. was because the line was too long. He wasn't interested in that, the decision remained. Absolutely disastrous dealings with a regular customer, never again!

I was there tonight for one reason, to sing at least one song to the karaoke. I arrived at 22h15 and the karaoke started at 22h. I waited and I waited, seeing people singing twice. After 2 hours waiting when I was about to leave I decide to ask how many people were before me in the queue. They said yes but completely ignored me and push other people that already sang again. I was really disappointed of that kind of preferencial treatment because it was obvious some of them were friends of the dj. So if you wish to sing in that pub in the karaoke night it seems to be recommandable to either be friends or maybe guest in the hotel, or ask for your song at least 2 hours before the event starts. I am really frustrated that I had to wait for nothing. NOT COOL ! Ps: I went to Dublin and you do not deserve that name. Ps2: 2 of my friends wanted to also sing and departed as frustrated as me. Ps3: my name is Antonio, maybe if I put Anton I would have been selected sooner? Not great for my first day of my life in Deutschland.

Almost authentic Irish pub; Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks and especially the service has declined significantly in the last few months. The service is clumsy, inattentive, sometimes arrogant and often enough the employees are more concerned with themselves than with the guests. The dining room is untidy, the quality of the food is absolutely inadequate compared to the prices that are advertised. I was a regular for many years, but unfortunately I won't be visiting the store again. No more recommendation.

The pub is great and the service is very quick and friendly. We stopped here after the performance at “Singende Altstadt” to moisten our throats. Even though it unfortunately got wet from above, the inner courtyard is really cozy and beautiful. Thanks for the nice time....

If you like breakfast, this is the place for you. Of course everything else tastes good too...

Right in the pedestrian zone and therefore right in the middle of life. No more karaoke in the room which is nice. On the way out it smells like food.

The service is very friendly. But the store is not wheelchair accessible! There is also no disabled toilet! Also, the portion was very small compared to the price.

I've already eaten here. Didn't stay overnight but the stew was great. With a stout and a light beer and, later, a round of cola, it stayed under two even in a small birthday group. Barely inside and there is already a pleasant atmosphere like back when Heidelberg still had real bars. I'm sure I'll continue my monthly sessions at the bar there more often. I actually feel a little more at home there than Heidelberg generally has to offer these days. 🍺The more bars like this here🍺 the more likely people like me would come here.🍺 Wouldn't that be great!? So if anything, then just Irish: "I like it here much better than anywhere else because I don't know any other bar here in Heidelberg than here, the Irish Pub... The more bars there would be, the quicker I would be calmer without needing alcohol. But one or two Guinness and all is well 🍺 “hayoo”🍺 Now everyone can at least be happy that I'm no longer going off like a wrecking ball as quickly as my Google Maps profile has grown. IRISH and GOOD🥃🧊 And the fewer complaints I would expect from the city. Especially because there are obviously not as many bars as there were back in the 90s. (That the Irish Pub reminds me of) Or am I alone with my opinion? If there's nothing left that reminds you of the golden 90s, then I'll just swirl my Guinness up and down with Irish folklore. ✌🏼🍀🍻☮️🏴‍☠️🍀🇮🇪

We went into the pub because there was a sign in the window announcing that the Tipperary v Cork hurling game was being broadcast. We spent the time until the game started enjoying the very good food. But instead of hurling there was football from the UK and Germany. Therefore no fifth star. We weren't in the hotel. Therefore please ignore the hotel review.

Rude bar staff. Worst “Irish bar” I’ve ever been to. Just feels like a regular German bar. Did not feel welcome at all.

Rooms small, but clean and functional, value for money ok for Heidelberg.

Omg this was the worst fish and chips ever. Chewy. Skinny flappy. Not fried. Really weird. They must have changed the recipe in the last 6 month.

The rooms are clean and fine. Unfortunately it totally stinks of grease. Really extreme. Due to the kitchen underneath in the pub, the smell of frying wafts through the stairwell into the rooms. Something has to change! The service was good, the location was super central in the pedestrian zone. 10% discount on everything in the pub. In the evening the atmosphere in the pub was great. Live music. Super good atmosphere.

Iz was difficzlt to get the waiters attention. The food was biz expense, but it was OK.

Experience in the hotel: The entire stairwell stinks of greasy food right into the rooms. Facilities run down, bathroom full of hair from previous guests. Balcony also completely dirty with spikes for pigeon defense and rubbish on the floor. No smoking on the balcony because of the dirt (???). Extremely modest overall for the price...

Great place to sit and drink a guinness with friends, if you want to eat something, the promotion of a guinness with fish and chips is worth it, the guinness costs just 3 euros. It is worth remembering that outside tables can only be used until 10 pm. It's always very crowded inside.

I haven't been a guest at the hotel yet, so I can't rate the rooms. But the pub is cult, the staff is super friendly. There is always a good atmosphere here. On St. Patrick's anyway. You should get there early enough or reserve a table, otherwise you have to stand because the pub is packed. The food is also very good, small menu but fine.

Cool atmosphere, food/drinks were good, value for money was right, unfortunately they completely forgot about our second drink order, although they tried to draw our attention to it and it didn't work. Like everywhere else, there was a shortage of staff. Would still go again.

We were "only" in the Pup and didn't spend the night, so the room rating is fictitious. But you can add the stars to the pub 😉 great Irish pub with music, food and drinks like in an Irish pub... I felt like I was in the pub in Dublin. Highly recommended... So both 😜👍🍀

Oh well. Tables aren't really above it, the transmission is very loud and the price is rather upscale.

Das Dubliner Hotel & Irish Pub liegt sehr zentral in der Innenstadt von Heidelberg. Es ist ein eher kleines und sehr zweckdienliches "Hotel", und die Location fungiert eher primär als Sportsbar & Irish Pub, bei der zusätzlich die Möglichkeit besteht, direkt überhalb der Sports Bar zu nächtigen. Deshalb: Das "Dubliner" ist somit also kein reines Hotel im klassischen Sinne, sondern zu allererst mal eine Sports Bar & Irish Pub. Die primäre Funktion liegt daher nicht beim Hotelbetrieb. Sports Bar & Irish Pub: Die Location ist super eingerichtet, wie man es eben von Irish Pubs her kennt (dunkles Inventar und dunkle Holzausstattung, welche dem ganzen seinen unverwechselbaren Charme und Charakter verleihen). Es gibt eine große Auswahl an diversen Getränken, und auch das Speiseangebot ist sehr lecker und reichhaltig (Burger, Fish & Chips etc.). Die Getränke- und Speisekarte kann man im Vorhinein auf der zuhehörigen Homepage einsehen und "studieren", wenn man sich vor einem Besuch schon mal etwas schlau machen oder informieren will. Zudem ist die Sports Bar auch Treffpunkt der Pittsburgh Steelers' Fans, welche dort die regelmäßigen NFL-Übertragungen ihres Lieblingsteams auf mehreren Monitoren verfolgen können. Hotel: Etwas ungewöhnlich ist der Check-in in der Sports Bar direkt am Tresen. Frühstück oder dergleichen gibt es keines, da das Hotel kein Hotel im klassischen Sinne ist, sondern der Sports Bar & dem Irish Pub angehört, welches eben vormittags geschlossen ist. Das Zimmer war schon etwas älterer Bauart und dementsprechend einige Gebrauchsspuren erkennbar (hier könnte man sicher mal etwas modernisieren). Die Fernbedienung war hinter dem Fenstervorhang "versteckt" und wurde leider erst am nächsten Morgen entdeckt, nachdem in der Nacht die Programme mühsam per Hand am TV-Gerät umgestellt werden mußten. ZUDEM: Die Auswahl der TV-Programme war leider sehr überschaubar. Die meisten privaten Programme waren NICHT zu empfangen. Selbst RTL, Sat1, PRO7 etc. gingen nicht. Normalerweise sollte ein guter Satellitenanschluß heutzutage kein Problem mehr sein, um wenigstens ein Minimum an standardmäßigen Sendern zu empfangen. Aber wie bereits mehrmals geschrieben: Die Location ist kein primäres Hotel, und man übernachtet dort nicht, nur um auf dem Zimmer Fernsehen zu schauen. Sondern man schaut eher American Football in der Sports Bar unten drunter, genießt das Essen, trinkt gemütlich etwas dazu und übernachtet dann dort, um nicht hinterher noch mit dem Auto nach Hause fahren zu müssen (wenn man eine weitere Anreise als Steelers-Fan hat). In diesem Sinne: Come in and find out! (besucht im Dezember 2023)

Wir wollten eigentlich eine Kleinigkeit essen aber die Bedienung hat uns nach der etwas, sehr holprigen und knappen Getränke Bestellung, konsequent ignoriert. So haben wir schnell ausgetrunken, bezahlt und haben uns eine andere Location gesucht. Sehr schade !

Im Prinzip eine schöne, urige Kneipe. Das Ale war lecker, Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, kam gerade aus einem anderen Restaurant essen. Schade fand ich, dass keine Irische Musik gespielt wurde. Das gehört für mich einfach zu einer guten irischen Kneipe dazu. Daher keine 5-Sterne Bewertung

Excellent location, in the middle of where everything happens. You would think from the room you would hear the people in the pub downstairs but magically you can not! Very comfortable bed and the little balcony is a charm!

Fantastischer Karaokeabend mit Ronja und Niko 👍👍👍 Würde ich jedem empfehlen der vorbeikommt, ein Besuch ist lohnenswert.

War "nur" im Pub,Service war top,Cider empfehlenswert.Es kann Fussball geguckt werden und die Fish and Chips waren auch lecker. :-).

Schwache Longdrinks, vielleicht 1cl statt 4cl.Nicht zu empfehlen.

Ideally I would never rate a cafe or a bar 2 stars , but this is an exception. As a new customer you'll not be attended optimally. That's how we felt .
