We thought there were vegan options on the menu, but there was no description of any vegan options. When we asked, they said that the only vegan flavor was the guacamole pizza or the option to build your own pizza with vegetables. There are many restaurants with varied vegan options in the city, including in this area. That's why I wouldn't go to this one.

Food is average, the ordering system is just crap. Price/performance doesn't fit and unfortunately there is no atmosphere.

Extremely good, the price is not necessarily low but definitely worth the money! I'm very excited.

Visited the restaurant today because of the good reviews. Pizza was good, but the prices were overpriced for a small pizzeria in my opinion. Just like the drinks, a Fritzkola for a whopping €5. A normal Pizza Margherita for just under €14 and as we all know, a Pizza Margherita has nothing on it ;). If you want something on top you'll probably charge around 16-18€ for a pizza!!? Really sporty price. If the service was outstanding I could understand it, but it wasn't. If the shop were extremely beautiful and specially decorated, spoiler, it wasn't. If it was our last visit here, then we preferred Pizza Montana in Frankfurt :)

Schlechter Service, Pizza nicht wie auf der Karte beschrieben, da kalter Belag, unangenehmer Geschmack…. Auch meine Kollegen waren nicht zufrieden. Aber die Messezeit macht es möglich! Leider eine einmalige Erfahrung

Pizza (there is no pasta) delicious but the price is not justified, menu and order only online, only card payment and bottled drinks (e.g. 0.375, wine 18! €. Young, dynamic or not, cozy and guest-oriented is different

The pizzas weren't good. It's quite expensive. The waitress doesn't take your order, you have to do it yourself online even if you dine in. Not sure why this place has good reviews. It's passable at best. I cannot recommend it.

Extremely overpriced drinks and pizza with no taste or quality.

I ordered a Diavola to take away, but this pizza turns out to be anything but special. The price of €18, which is significantly above average, is absolutely not justified.

Were there yesterday. So the high price for the pizzas is not justified. Tomato sauce without any spices tasted bland. Drinking is overpriced. A small soda costs 5 euros and charging 6 euros for still water that was tap water is outrageous. Apparently there are no more pasta dishes.

Man bestellt und bezahlt über QR Code und bekommt Getränke und Essen gebracht. Die Pizzen sind ok aber nicht überragend. Bekommt man in Frankfurt definitiv auch besser. Für 19 Euro für meine Pizza erwarte ich aber deutlich mehr. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht sodass wir es bei unserem ersten Versuch belassen werden. Deswegen keine Empfehlung.

Die Pizza ist geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber überteuert. Das Ambiente hat uns nicht gefallen. Die Bestellung erfolgt über das Handy und ist extrem umständlich gestaltet. Wir waren zu fünft und haben Pizza und Getränke für über 100 € bestellt. Als wir Getränke nachbestellen wollten (gezwungenermaßen auch wieder online), hat dies nicht funktioniert. Wir fragten die Dame hinter der Theke und es wurde uns gesagt, dass wohl der Mindestbestellwert nicht erreicht sei. Wie das bei einer bereits aufgegebenen Bestellung von über 100€ möglich ist, ist mir rätselhaft. Aufgrund des fragwürdigen Konzepts war es für uns das erste und letzte Mal dort.

The pizza tastes okay, but is extremely overpriced. We didn't like the atmosphere and it was reminiscent of a canteen. Ordering is done via mobile phone and is extremely complicated. There were five of us and we ordered pizza and drinks for over €100. When we wanted to reorder drinks (forced to do so online again), this no longer worked. We asked the “waitress” (whose purpose is nothing other than to stand at the counter all evening and only bring the drinks and pizza to the table) and we were told that the minimum order value had probably not been reached. How this is possible with an order already placed for over €100 is a mystery to me. Due to the questionable concept, it was the first and last time there for us.

In terms of taste, the pizza and pasta were just great and so delicious. You can immediately see how much passion the dishes are prepared with. The portions are a decent size and you'll definitely be full. The friendliness is also immediately noticeable. You can easily reserve a table online and sit comfortably with beautiful music. The concept of self-service for drinks is generally pleasing, but it was a shame that Lillet and Aperol were only available in bottles and the price is not appropriate for that. Ordering a glass of wine without directly purchasing a whole bottle was a bit lacking. Otherwise great and would be happy again.

The ambience is fine, but the service is quite strange. After I ordered a pizza it turned out they didn't have half the ingredients. Ricotta was not available, but the staff kindly asked me if I would like to choose an alternative, which I did. However, later I was served boiled ham instead of Parma ham - okay, that can happen. Nobody asked me if everything was okay. I had to call the staff over myself and when I explained that the order was wrong they just gave me strange looks like it was my fault. Nevertheless, I decided to accept and eat the dish as is. The pizza was really excellent and of high quality. I see great potential, but the service could definitely be improved a bit.

The name "Crazy Italian" seems to refer mainly to the prices—19 euros for a pizza and 5 euros for a 0.33L beer is, in a way, pretty crazy. Otherwise, there's nothing particularly "crazy" about it. The pizza is good, but not exceptional. They also don’t provide glasses for the beer, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I don’t think I’d come back.

The pizza tastes good, but is overpriced. Unfortunately, the name “crazy” doesn’t really come across in the menu either. After the pizza, we don't really understand what exactly is meant by crazy Italy. We have already paid via the system - it was super quick. However, when we left the (full) store, we were loudly accused of not having paid yet. That was very unpleasant for us - to be so loudly accused of cheating. We were able to prove by invoice and direct debit that we had already paid. Unfortunately there was no apology for this rude behavior. We therefore decided not to come again.

Very cute little place. You order at your table with a qr code. They pretty much only serve pizza to eat. Makena reservation. Small bathroom. Good service. Highly recommend.

Pizzas were average in terms of taste and quality of ingredients, but prices were premium. There are only bottled wines with 0.375 l for around €20. The bottle that was brought to our table didn't look like it had just been opened: the metal casing of the bottle cap was no longer there, the paper packet had a structure that looked like it had been soaked and dried again. I asked if you could show me a closed bottle. This was of a different vintage (2023) than the bottle served (2022). Ambience more like a chic takeaway shop.

Fantastic food. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere - that's how I sum up our evening at “The Crazy Italian”. And can highly recommend it to any pizza lover. This is how pizza should taste 🥰 You can taste the quality of the products and that they are prepared with love. The service was impeccable- friendly, professional, customer focused. Went there spontaneously for dinner and were definitely not disappointed! Especially in warmer temperatures you can sit outside at sunset. The pizza was really fantastic for us! Even the perhaps boring classic Margerita was a 10/10 thanks to the delicious dough and the super good tomato sauce. The whole thing was topped off for us by the 3 small bowls that you always get with extra bone belly, oregano or chili oil. Depending on your taste, you could make the pizza even better. The service was really super nice, often asked if everything was OK and always had a smile on their faces. For all very introverted people: you can not only call up the menu using the QR code, but also order and even pay directly. We had never seen it before, but we found it incredibly smart. We would definitely have found our new regular pizzeria 😊

Yesterday I ordered a children's chocolate pizza for the first time and was full of anticipation. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed because the pizza was burned so badly in the middle that there was even a medium-sized hole. So far I have always found the food there to be very good and the quality has always been excellent. Mistakes can happen, but given the price range I would have expected the food to be checked before being handed over to the delivery person, especially since it is an unfilled pizza that is then spread with Nutella. Burns (especially given the size) should have been obvious when the pizza was taken out. That was really disappointing.

We had an amazing time at this charming restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming—even the chef came out to say hello. Our meals were delicious—the Salami Pizza Halal was full of flavor, and we liked that they labeled it as such, too, so you didn’t have to look for the ingredients. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, with music that perfectly matched the mood. The staff took great care of us throughout the meal. We left feeling happy and full, not just from the food but also from the whole experience. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Be careful if you want to check the prices on the website beforehand! You will be redirected to the price list for orders without being specifically marked. The prices in the restaurant are significantly higher (around 3 euros per dish). The four of us quickly added “table money” worth an entire pizza. The pizza is good and fresh, but not really special. Especially when it comes to dough, the quality could be significantly adjusted to your own price level. Non-alcoholic drinks cost a flat rate of 5 euros, even bottled but still cooled tap water. Service staff were extremely friendly, even if unfortunately we don't have much to do with each other, because ordering and paying is done entirely online. Ambiance is fine according to the surroundings. But you don't really want to sit outside in this asphalt desert. Edit: One star deducted for the owner's snarky reaction to my more than fair review. Trying to justify a price surcharge of over 20% between the website and the restaurant with VAT is an insult to the intellect of the customer and also to the competition, which makes their actual prices transparent online.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Restaurant und waren sofort vom Ambiente und Einrichtungslösungen begeistert. Der Besitzer war sehr zukommen, professionell und humorvoll und dann kam das Essen. Wir haben drei Pizzas bestellt. Die haben unglaublich gut ausgesehen und noch besser haben sie geschmeckt. Der Boden war knusprig und lecker und der Belag mmmmm. Sehr gute, hochqualitative Produkte. Es war ein purerer Genuss! Der Rose dazu war auch gut. Der Abend ist auf jeden Fall gelungen. Buonissimo

We have eaten a lot of pizzas in and around Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. Unfortunately the pizza is below average. With a pizza for 15-17€ I just expect more. Our pizzas were even missing some contents: one had pistachios, another definitely had fewer types of salami on it than described. Conclusion: we ordered seven pizzas and we were all disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't understand the good reviews here. The two points are aimed exclusively at fast delivery via Wolt.

I recently ate at this pizzeria and the experience was less than satisfactory. First of all, we had to wait an hour and a half for our food, with 30 minutes passing before we could even place our order. That was annoying enough. The taste of the food was disappointing. The tomato sauce on my pizza was completely tasteless, and the pasta was just as bland. Unfortunately, there was no trace of Gorgonzola, which was advertised in the dish. The sauce for the pasta didn't even seem to be cooked properly and was absolutely watery. The food was a big disappointment and not worth the money at all. The service was also disappointing and not service oriented at all. Drinks are brought immediately after you place your order and not 30 minutes later. I definitely won't come back here again if I'm looking for good pizza and pasta. The long waiting time, the disappointing quality of the food and service make this pizzeria a clear disappointment. UPDATE: After the owner asked me to give the pizzeria a second chance and I was back in the area, I wanted to try it again - and was disappointed again. This time I only ordered a pizza and had to wait almost 50 minutes for it. I ate on-site and the pizzeria wasn't busy, so you can't say crowds were the cause of the delay. Even under these conditions, you shouldn't have to wait 50 minutes for a single pizza. The pizza was also very dry. Unfortunately, my second visit was also a disappointment.

Went here spontaneously yesterday with 6 people. Well drunk and in a great mood. Despite the level, we enjoyed the great quality and the tasty pizza. 1 A. Keep it up!

Great food, you can really taste the quality and in my opinion the price is justified. Given that it is a self-service restaurant, contact with the employees was limited but very courteous and nice. Personally, I don't really like the very modern industrial look, but it was still a pleasant atmosphere and very clean. Gladly again!

Underground and catastrophic price-performance ratio. Food below average, there isn't even bread with the salad, 6 euros were charged for tap water ("yes, but it's filtered"). Never again.

Süßer kleiner Italiener mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Wir haben hier die beste Spaghetti Cabonara gegessen, Original so wie sie gehört mit Ei und ohne Sahne. Die Pizza war auch lecker. Barzahlung ist hier nicht möglich, Bestellung läuft komplett übers Handy ab. Wichtig zu wissen. :)

Komplette Abzocke. Verlangen selbst 6 Euro für Leitungswasser („Ja aber es ist gefiltert“), Brot zum Salat gibt es auch nur mit Aufpreis. Essensqualität durchschnittlich, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis katastrophal.

The dough on both pizzas wasn't cooked through properly, and on the vegetarian pizza the vegetables were almost raw. Nevertheless, both were badly burned on the bottom and edge. I have no idea how to do that. They were also a bit sparsely occupied.

Pleasant staff and fresh cuisine. I recommend. Good atmosphere. Very happy with this restaurant. The only downside is that you have to order via a QR code to order online which is not very understandable for foreigners.

“Crazy Italian” is a really great restaurant and is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Frankfurt. Pizza & pasta really delicious, service very attentive and accommodating. And Moretti is always in the fridge too! Really recommended!

A disaster! Not recommended at all. Food super expensive, doesn't taste good at all, pizza dough wasn't even cooked through, a small bowl of salad with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella €13 pizza bread €8.50 pizza margarita which I didn't even eat €14.70 small doesn't taste at all, full with oil, dough as I said half alive. Self-service, we have to order using a bar code. You can only pay with a credit card, no cash. A Fritz Cola €4.50. So the concept is very bad, there is no possibility to pay in cash otherwise everything online with a card I don't think is good at all, American style. So in short I was once and never again. Not recommendable.

Food was excellent although relatively pricey (19 EUR for Carbonara, 15 EUR for 0.375l of wine). Loved the carbonara. However whole service concept is extremely bizarre: you are expected to order on your own phone via their website and even pay there in advance, all while sitting physically in the restaurant. They even make you get up and grab cutlery for yourself instead of bringing it. Wine they bring to your table, beer you have to go get yourself (?). For a restaurant in this premium price range I would expect a service experience that matches a normal restaurant instead of a fast food shack.

Incredible flavor explosions! Outstanding special pizza and pasta creations delicately coordinated with exceptional fresh ingredients! I've tried a lot all over the world! Ravioli with "pulled duck", spaghetti with lightly grilled kale and pizza with homemade salciccia and delicious wine. Simply great class with a twist!

The first time we ate there we would give it 5/5! It was really tasty, cozy and there was great service. We were there again yesterday, but unfortunately we didn't like the new self-service concept. You have to get your own cutlery, soft drinks and beer (not nice but ok), but with an Aperol I expect it to be freshly made for me. After waiting a while, assuming it was freshly made, I discovered the pre-mixed Aperol Spritz in the fridge. Very disappointing for just €8! Pizza and pasta were delicious, burrata with mushrooms was unfortunately underwhelming. We would order here again, but probably wouldn't visit the restaurant again. The service is simply lacking, especially given the somewhat high prices. This development is very unfortunate.

Durch Zufall haben wir das Restaurant entdeckt und sind begeistert. Dort wird mit frischen Kräutern dekoriert, die Pizzen sind super lecker wie auch die Pasta. Der Besitzer ist zuvorkommend und geht auf Wünsche ein. Können wir nur empfehlen und werden bei unserem nächsten Messebesuch bestimmt wieder einkehren.

Essen war sehr, sehr lecker. Daher auch 5 Sterne, jedoch hätte ich hinsichtlich der Selbstbedienung noch den Verbesserungsvorschlag, dass das Prinzip erklärt und auch proaktiv Gläser gebracht werden. Ansonsten zu empfehlen und - wie gesagt - sehr lecker. Insbesondere der Wildkräutersalat war besonders.

Schönes Ambiente, gute Musikauswahl, bequeme Stühle und lecker Essen. Sowohl Pizza als auch Pasta waren sehr gut. Getränke gibts hauptsächlich von Fritz, ist Geschmacksache finde ich. Eine Weinauswahl ist aber als Alternative durchaus zu empfehlen. Wenn der Laden voll ist, ist es für den anwesenden Personal schwer jedem gerecht zu werden aber stört nicht.

The best Italian restaurant in Germany guaranteed

Location: sehr sehr kleines Restaurant mit wenigen Sitzplätzen und offener Küche, minimalistisch eingerichtet Konzept: es ist nicht der klassische „gemütliche“ Italiener-Besuch. Essen bestellt man an der Theke und Softdrinks nimmt man sich selbst aus dem Kühlschrank. Essen: es gibt eine große Auswahl sowohl an roten als auch weißen Pizzen. Außerdem handgemachte Pasta. Die Pizza an sich ist von mittlerer Größe mit sehr dickem teigigem Rand. Fazit: Wie würden jetzt nicht für einen besonderen Abend hierhin kommen aber auf jeden Fall mal einen Besuch wert!
