The ambiance is well-balanced between rustic and modern. Service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The quality of the food was very good and recommendable. It tasted very good, and the quantity was perfectly adequate and filling. The wait time was absolutely satisfactory for a Saturday evening (there were seven of us and we got our food at the same time within 15-20 minutes). Therefore, it is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the loin ribs weren't what they used to be; they're simply tasteless now. For €36, that's a disaster, and waiting over an hour for that is unacceptable. The lukewarm food wasn't that great either. That was my last visit to ASH; I highly doubt that both the quality of the food and the quality of the service will improve significantly again.

The ASH Ruhrpark Bochum Disappointing Experience We had reserved a table yesterday at 6 p.m. The place was busy, but having to wait an hour and 30 minutes for our food was really tough. When the food finally arrived, it was only lukewarm, and the price of €26.90 for the Vegan Chicken Supreme (4 chicken strips, some potatoes, and roasted vegetables) simply wasn't worth it. Normally, you'd expect the server to apologize for the long wait, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. There's no tip for such a long wait. It's a shame, given the price, that you can get more and better food elsewhere. This was definitely my first and last visit.

First we were disappointed in Dortmund, and today we went to eat in Bochum. There was very dry chicken with cold mashed potatoes, an over-salted burger (COLD), and a burger that tasted of nothing, each with a mini baked potato. It was simply outrageous to pay so much for such a bad meal. It was the last time for us.

The service was very good. Unfortunately, there was a receipt in my meal. I passed the order and was immediately told I didn't have to pay for the burger. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional.

1 star is still too much!!!!! I've never experienced anything like this before. I waited over 90 minutes and still didn't get any food. The service was terrible! I wouldn't recommend it!

The burger was good, the fries were only lukewarm. Actually a cool restaurant, if the service were good. Super long waits for drinks, food, and even the bill. The restrooms weren't particularly clean either. It doesn't give a good impression. I won't be back again - what a shame!

The place was quite busy, but almost 1.5 hours from arrival to dinner is unacceptable! The food itself was delicious as usual, but unfortunately, it was only lukewarm for everyone in our group. That's also a no-go! We'll be holding off on another visit until further notice...

We ate there tonight and were very disappointed... We only got our steak after waiting for two hours, and unfortunately, it was cold. So we sent it back and got much less meat back, and it wasn't medium as ordered. This shouldn't happen at a chain like this, and we'll never set foot there again. And the absolute cheek was that we didn't even get a discount, etc., which is absolutely outrageous!!

We've been sitting here for an hour and a half and the food still hasn't arrived. No one even thinks to put bread or anything else on the table. We definitely won't be coming back.

After waiting over an hour for our food (and it wasn't particularly busy, and several tables that arrived after us got theirs much sooner), my meat was riddled with tendons and fat and so tough that I had to spit out some pieces. Truly disappointing, as I usually enjoy eating here.

Nice place! We like sitting at the top because we like the view. The cocktails are okay, but very expensive for what they are in a glass! Unfortunately, we got a steak that was quite stringy... so I couldn't eat it with any enjoyment and had to spit out some pieces... It's a nice place overall, so 4/5 stars. 🌟

We've been there several times in short intervals, and it's always been delicious. I like the Caesar salad. A few minor criticisms are the very small desserts, which, in my opinion, don't justify the price, and the rather loud atmosphere, but that's perfectly normal given the size of the interior. If it's warm, just try to get a seat outside 🙂

The food is above average, the spare ribs are truly impressive, and the chairs are truly the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Where can I buy them? xD

I was there today and ordered a burrata. The guys didn't even have Italian or Mexican vinegar, and they brought me some kind of sunflower oil. Without lemon, a ready-made puree powder, a scoop of ice cream. Sometimes I look at that.

The food is always delicious, especially when you go there for brunch. At lunchtime, they offer reduced menus, which are worth the effort. They're also currently offering new dishes on a separate menu. Highly recommended.

The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. The food was a real highlight: fresh, perfectly prepared, and presented with attention to detail. I can especially recommend [insert your favorite dish here, e.g., "the rib-eye steak" or "the veggie burger"] – delicious and of the highest quality! The drinks menu also offers a great selection, from creative cocktails to fine wines. If you're looking for a special culinary experience – be it for a date, an evening with friends, or a business lunch – ash is definitely the place to be. I'll definitely be back!

Spontaneous visit but still got a table very quickly and the food was perfect as always

We arrived at short notice and still got a table very quickly. Our ceaser salads were delicious, and the food arrived very quickly.

Tried a vegetarian steak alternative made with a 3D printer. It was delicious. Highly recommended.

Super chicken restaurant with excellent food

I ordered the medium-rare rump steak with fries and truffle mayonnaise and was completely satisfied. The steak was cooked to perfection, very tender, and flavorful. The truffle mayo also went perfectly with it. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and attentive service. The server was very courteous. The atmosphere in the restaurant was modern and stylish – you immediately feel at home. Overall, a truly successful visit – I would love to come back.

Right next to the children's playground at the Ruhr Park, you can have something to eat with the little ones and end the evening. We've been to The Ash a few times now and have always been happy with the quality of the food and the service. For Ruhr Park standards, the atmosphere is still pleasantly quiet and not overcrowded, even on a Saturday, and you can always find a place.

We ate spare ribs and a burger and were very happy with everything. The shop is also very nicely decorated, so you feel very comfortable while eating. Definitely worth recommending.

We spent a wonderful Mother's Day 🌸 here in 3rd generation. The buffet is very diverse and fresh🥒. The selection is really big, everyone can find what they are looking for here and the quality is really great. Despite the many visitors, the staff was very attentive and always on point. Always happy again. We will definitely spend the next Mother's Day here again 🌺

We had brunch, which wasn't great but ok for us. Table assignment and the first drink order were ok then the service just became too slow and inattentive. Ambience inside due to window seat unbearable on a sunny day, shading system according to staff statement not working. Ambience outside had stains on almost every seat cushion and wooden tables stuck. Overall, no reason for us to repeat.

Very tasty food. The meat is buttery tender and the sauces are a dream. Waiters simply friendly and super attentive. The only drawback are the tables outside that are full of flowers and stems and have been there for a long time. The full ashtray from the guests in front of it is also unpleasant. Seat cushions partly very stained and dirty. It's a shame that with such high quality food the ambience spoils it a bit.

Delicious food and great vegan alternatives. We're always happy to come back! The prices are a bit high and it can get loud. The friendly staff and the taste keep us coming back here again and again.

It wasn't that crowded, but you had to wait a long time for service. Fruit only on request at the buffet. It used to be better. We'll try again, but maybe things will get better so that it's back to the way it used to be

When I wanted to go out for lunch with my husband, as we have often done before, we sat outside on the terrace in the best weather, luckily it wasn't that full. Several waiters saw us and checked on us several times. When about 15-20 minutes had passed, we asked ourselves why we weren't served at all, but were rather knowingly ignored (as I said, it wasn't that full). Up until that point, we hadn't even been given a menu to look at, let alone something drink. My husband got up and asked a waitress, to which she replied snidely, “If you want to be served, you have to register here!” Um... sorry... I've never experienced anything like that in any restaurant and NEVER at The ash. My husband and I just looked at each other in shock and left the restaurant without eating anything. The waitress saw this and laughed. It's a shame that customers are treated like this, especially since several guests also noticed it. We'll NEVER come back, because apparently you're not wanted anyway!

For the price I have to say the food is very mediocre as I have had better spare ribs or steaks in some snack bars. My rib was almost cold and my wife's fillet was almost raw instead of medium but this was quickly remedied, after that the fillet was tasty but the king prawns were very tough. Well, on the whole it doesn't have to happen again. It's a shame that I spent around 100 euros for 2 people 2 years ago and it was great :/

The four of us ate steak with side dishes. All very tasty. Unfortunately only lukewarm. Until the food was brought to the table, it sat on the counter for a while, ready to be picked up. Seemed to be a general problem that evening. The bell rang during a tour, but the food was often not picked up until minutes later. I don't have to have it again.

We were at Ash for the first time today and are completely satisfied :) the food was great and the waitresses were always helpful and kept asking if everything was good and if you needed anything else :) very friendly :) The location is very nicely done even if it is a bit noisy. But that doesn't stop. we will definitely come back. Thanks :)

For this price, one of the worst experiences I've had. Cola is either not original or mixed with syrup (my cola tasted like water), meat was just raw and cold in the middle, employees talk to each other all the time and don't serve anyone or put anything away. For this price it's really catastrophic.

Very very tasty food. The staff was also super friendly and accommodating. Despite it being Easter, you had enough staff to keep everyone happy. We were completely satisfied with the children because they were also very satisfied.

I liked everything here: from the taste, from the serving, to the service, to the entire ambience. The prices are absolutely justified for the service provided! If the quality and service-oriented approach remains the same, I would be happy to come back!

The ambience was really great and the service was very good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. We had 3 sirloin steaks, all ordered medium, one was medium rare. It can happen, we were offered to put it on the grill again, but we declined due to a lack of time on our part. What was a bit of a shame, however, was that everything tasted a bit bland and wasn't really seasoned. The mashed potatoes had something from the hospital food, with no seasoning. The green spagel wasn't that sparkling and bland, and the rosemary potatoes didn't really have anything to do with rosemary potatoes either. Totally unloving, maybe we were just unlucky today. But it was too expensive for what was offered. It's a real shame because the staff and the atmosphere are really great. The kitchen, on the other hand, unfortunately ruined the impression.

Very tasty beef ribs, great service

Were there for the all you can eat ribs. Side dishes are not included and must be paid for separately. The service was super nice, unfortunately it took a while to get a refill. We were there for 2 hours and managed 4 ribs each. Definitely a recommendation.

We had steak and it was really great. The Steakhouse Fries were a bit too dry for my taste.

Big disappointment – ​​incompetent and rude manager! Our visit was a disaster. The dish was served to us cold and when we asked for a solution the manager (a bald man) responded with arrogance and disinterest. Instead of dealing with the problem, he replied coldly that he “can’t do anything.” No suggestion for a solution, no apology, nothing. He told us to wait 20 minutes - but we waited over 40 minutes and never got the dish. The manager was not only rude but dishonest and completely incompetent. When we left, he didn't even apologize, he just turned away pointedly. Even worse, a waiter accidentally hit our child with his elbow as he walked past - without a single word of apology. We had ordered a children's menu, but unlike other guests, our child was not given pencils or a coloring book until we asked for them ourselves. And then another 20 minutes of waiting for the bill. Behavior that is completely unprofessional. This restaurant is absolutely not recommended. No respect, no service, no apology.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The ASH in Bochum and my experience was entirely positive. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly team and escorted to my table. The atmosphere was inviting and stylish, which made the evening particularly enjoyable. My main course, a fillet steak, was cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. I chose the sweet potato fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - a real treat. The portion sizes were generous and the value for money was reasonable. I was particularly impressed by the attentive service. Despite the busy restaurant, my orders were taken and served quickly. The staff was always present without being intrusive and responded to individual requests. Overall, I can unreservedly recommend The ASH in Bochum. For lovers of high-quality food in a pleasant atmosphere, it is definitely worth a visit.

-Atmosphere is awesome! -Without a reservation you have to sit at the bar, even though there are seats available (which you can get later) -after about 5-10 minutes you get your first drink even though you're sitting right at the bar.... -After 30 minutes we were finally allowed to go to the table which was free the whole time... (upon request, or the bar was full/but not everything else) -After we got the card, we had to wait another 5-10 minutes.... nobody felt like we and the others were on their radar... -Ordered food from a nice lady and it came extremely quickly (thanks to the serving manager who does a great job) -Burger meat was good but the burger itself was dry. Fries were very good and the sauces too! -Drinks= the spritzers weren't good at all and the others were standard Conclusion: It was OK... not again The provider tried to have our review deleted due to the negative opinion.

We were there on a Saturday evening. The parking situation was very challenging :D But the restaurant can't do much about it. We were quickly escorted to our reserved table, the orders were taken quickly and drinks and food came really quickly, despite the restaurant being full. The service was great, the food was really good too. However, compared to what you get, the food is really expensive. As I said, they are good, but I pay at least 3-4 euros more per dish than in comparable restaurants. The dishes without meat are particularly tasty.

Leckeres Restaurant mit Burgern und Steaks. Die Burger sind gut, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich. Die Chilli-Cheese Pommes sind sehr lecker aber auch nicht aussergewöhnlich. Das Ambiente hingegen ist aussergewöhnlich, was die Erwartungshaltung bzgl. der Burger (zu)hoch werden lässt. Das Personal ist aber aussergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend! Da können sich viele eine Scheibe abschneiden!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Kompliment, vielen Dank!
