We recently visited the restaurant with a larger group and were very satisfied. The service was quick and friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere was harmonious. There is also a playground nearby where the children can let off steam. While the wine list made a decent impression, the beer selection was a bit poor (no craft beer, for example). This could still be improved. Thank you! PS: Dilcan is the best!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Ash steakhouse and overall loved the experience. As soon as I entered, I noticed the cozy atmosphere, which is perfect for a relaxed dinner. The rustic, yet elegant ambience made you immediately feel at home. Eat: The highlight of the evening was of course the steak. I chose a classic rib eye that was cooked to perfection. The crust was crispy and flavorful, while the inside was juicy and tender - just the way you want it. The selection of side dishes was also convincing: the homemade fries were crispy and the grilled vegetable side dish was wonderfully aromatic. Drinks: I ordered a wheat beer with my meal, which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment. It was pleasantly fresh and light, which went perfectly with the hearty steak. The beer selection was diverse overall, so everyone could find something to their liking. Service: The service was attentive, friendly and professional. The waiters were happy to give recommendations and ensure we didn't lack for anything. Conclusion: The Ash is a must for steak lovers. Excellent meat, a solid drinks menu – including a refreshing wheat – and a harmonious ambience make the visit an experience. I will definitely come back!

Overall we had a very nice time in this restaurant. The atmosphere was excellent – ​​stylish and cozy, so we immediately felt at home. Particularly noteworthy is the staff: very, very friendly and attentive. It definitely helped us enjoy the evening. However, there is still room for improvement in the kitchen, especially when it comes to maintaining the desired cooking levels. A steak that was ordered medium well arrived medium rare. According to our request, it was fried, but the beef fillet, which had been ordered medium rare, came out medium well instead. Here the chef should once again pay attention to the exact wishes of the guests. Still, it was a nice visit overall and we could definitely imagine giving the restaurant another chance in the future in the hope that the cuisine improves. Therefore only 4 out of 5 stars.

Had dinner there with our toddler. It wasn't crowded and very quiet Staff made us wait a lot 1,2,3 times they always said I would be with you straight away with the order. With the children's menu you get a sheet to color in but without pens for the small children... Our food was then ready and stood on the counter for more than 5 minutes and the chef was pretty angry. Even though it wasn't full we were kept waiting for a long time.

We visited The ASH Bochum on Saturday September 15th, 2024, for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we were anything but enthusiastic about the steak quality. We each ordered a rump steak, unfortunately most of the meat was covered in tendons, cartilage and fat (although that shouldn't actually be the case with rump steak). However, the cooking level was medium, the herb butter was definitely a highlight and the side dishes of cucumber salad and mac'n cheese were also great in terms of taste. In addition, the dishes were very nicely prepared. The service staff and ambience were really great, and the price was also okay if the meat quality were better. I would come back but next time I definitely wouldn't order a steak and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
