I'm shocked by some of the negative reviews here. If you research the concept beforehand, you know what to expect. That's exactly what I did, and the information on the website was sufficient, and I got exactly what I expected. There are tables of various sizes set up on the terrace with grills. The Kniften (knife-shaped sausages) and the appetizers were perfectly fine in terms of quality and quantity. The value for money is good, and anyone who claims otherwise should calculate what an appetizer, main course, and dessert cost in a restaurant. With two appetizers, one Kniften (knife-shaped sausage), and a dessert, you'll definitely be well-satiated. Due to the heat from the grill, you might be thirstier than in other restaurants, and that's really the only criticism. Of course, the drink prices were also visible beforehand, but I hadn't considered the increased thirst caused by the heat. A beer (0.5 l) or a Coke of the same size for €6 each is simply too high, sorry. I even believe that slightly lower drink prices would increase sales and ultimately profits. Overall, the concept is great and a lot of fun. Fortunately, it hasn't become a franchise, so it remains unique. Because a franchise concept always ultimately loses quality and exclusivity.

There were 19 of us for lunch and we had the dining room to ourselves. The tables were arranged as requested, arranged in a table setting, and festively set in white. The service was staffed by one person; sufficient for 19 people. The champagne reception was well prepared. The service staff was polite, attentive, and kept to the background. This was well received by all guests. The food (starter, main courses such as fillet tips, duck, steak, and pasta with chanterelles, and dessert) was enjoyed by all without exception. Cakes and tarts were available for guests to bring in and were presented invitingly on site. Specialty coffees were served. The terrace, parking, and disabled-accessible restrooms round out the offerings. Gut Mausbeck is highly recommended.

Very nice and friendly, and the food is delicious 😋. It's a bit pricey, but it's a delicious meal with unusual dishes on offer. I'm happy that they serve German food and not kebabs 🥙 etc. 😋 I still enjoy going there. It's just a great place to enjoy the food and have a good conversation 👍

Very tasty, nice staff, and nicely decorated

I visited this café with two friends and later with my mother. Unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant as I had hoped, even though the ice cream itself was good. I am not a native German speaker, but I always try to speak German out of respect. When I ordered, I made a few small mistakes with articles, and the waiter corrected me each time. While I understand he might have been trying to help, the way he did it felt more dismissive than friendly. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I went back to order ice cream for my mother, I made another mistake and was corrected again — this time in a tone that felt even ruder. I then asked for a menu to see if we could try something different, but the waiter questioned why I wanted it, which made me feel quite unwelcome as a tourist who simply wanted to look at other options. I know my German isn’t perfect, but I wish the staff had been a bit more patient or switched to English if my German was a problem. I did not expect special treatment — just a bit of understanding would have made a big difference. I hope my feedback helps the café create a more welcoming atmosphere for tourists and anyone who does not speak perfect German. The ice cream was nice, but the way we were treated left me quite disappointed.
