From the reservation to the arrival, everything was perfect. The reserved table was beautifully set. The Christmas menu was extensive, and there was something for everyone. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and very good. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful evening on Boxing Day.

We stumbled upon Kolpinghaus Höntrop in the village of Bochum and found it to be a delightful surprise. From the outside, it looks like a community center, but inside, it feels like a combination of restaurant, community center, and party venue. A large open space with plenty of wooden tables and chairs, a long bar, warm ceiling lamps, and some decorations featuring plants and seasonal produce. You can immediately tell that parties and gatherings are held here regularly. We enjoyed a cup of pumpkin soup and a goulash soup. Both were generously sized, perfectly heated, and full of flavor. It's exactly what you need, especially as a break during a ride or walk. The service was friendly and attentive. Nothing complicated, just pleasant and welcoming. All in all, a simple but excellent place to settle in for soup and a drink, with the friendly atmosphere you'd expect to find in a village pub or venue.

It's something special. Very cozy and the service is incredibly friendly. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the unique atmosphere definitely makes it worth it!

Everything here is perfect. A wonderfully cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and the menu is exactly to my liking. The steaks are superb and highly recommended. However, like other restaurants, it's become very expensive, so I unfortunately don't go there as often now. That way, it remains a special treat.
