I really liked the design of the store. The food there is relatively good. Unfortunately, the veggie burger was only moderately convincing. The fried fish, on the other hand, was really great and the fried potatoes were also good.

The tables are really very close together, but otherwise it's a nice, very rustic shop. The food is very tasty and there is also a lot of regional stuff.

Great food, very tasty and good quality. Delicious beer and good schnapps. Nicely decorated. Unfortunately, sitting in the basement with groups is a bit scary. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow due to the large rush, but we were still full and no longer thirsty. I'd love to come back.

I had Pasta with Bolognes. The portion was smaller than normally one would have elsewhere. A friend who also had pasta said the same about the portion.

The worst fried potatoes I've ever eaten. Served dry and carelessly. People shrug their shoulders when there is criticism of the service.

Very nice restaurant. Delicious food and especially delicious German food. The portions fill you up well. Staff very nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy. All in all a good way to enjoy good food.

Superb food, but as a tourist I recommend that you can speak German. Then English was not obvious.

Also there for the guests on public holidays, even if there was a shortage of staff, everything was tried to ensure things ran smoothly. What wasn't so nice was that the drinks only came with the food - that was a long wait. Food was excellent and we will come back when we are in town

Excellent farmer's breakfast, delicious tarte flambée, convincing schnitzel. The service is friendly and there are plenty of tables in front of the restaurant to enjoy the weather. We'll definitely be back.

Do not come here Waiter was rude and uneducated. Then they take 3 euros tip for threading you like garbage. It could be due to my race or simply incompetence .

Cannot rate the food, beer was okay, staff nice. prices nuts... cheese platter... some gouda cut in cubes.. won't go back.

Went to Thämer's for the first time because it was highly recommended to us. We were 100% thrilled. We all had three different main courses (meat & fish) and first of all the onion cake. Everything looked very attractive and was well prepared. We had cevapcici, roast beef and the pickled fried herring. Everything was really delicious and the perfectly crispy fried potatoes were exceptionally good. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, but I'll do so on my next visit. Since we couldn't decide on the wine, we were allowed to try both. I was also allowed to simply change my side dish. This is where great food meets really great service. You just have to say that professionals are at work here and they do it with heart. Both employees know their craft. I haven't experienced such exceptionally good service in a long time. I don't think I need to emphasize that we will be back. Thank you for everything!!!!!

Very good restaurant. Super delicious food. Had the Viennese style schnitzel and was able to try the herring with the fried fish and potato salad and everything was extremely tasty. The staff is very accommodating and happy to accommodate requests such as more sauce. Gave a friend a new knife after it was covered in sauce without us even thinking to ask. Can only be recommended!

Fast service, abundant portions fair prices. Shame for the ribs cooked in a wierd way, they were not crusty and juicy.

We were there for lunch with colleagues. The food was super tasty (fried potatoes, meatloaf). It was very crowded, which is why we waited quite a long time for the waitresses. But in my opinion the food was worth it.

A quick lunch-stop on the way between The Netherlands and Denmark and Thämer's was just the ticket! A quaint little place on the inside with a large covered terrace on the square. The food was good and they even have a kids' menu. Good selection of drinks, including non-alcoholic beer for those of us driving. Toilets were small but clean enough.

A restaurant with a lot of potential, but... Positive: Decoration and interior authentic, candles and flowers on the tables, service very friendly, the dishes just okay. This could be improved: - The impression arose that the waiters had no professional training for the catering business, the men's clothing was very different and had no signs of anyone working there; I didn't understand who works here and who is a guest; - The gentlemen also hardly coordinated with each other as to which tables were now free; - while we were eating, one of the waiters came and without notice looked for something under the bench at our table - which confused and disturbed; - the music was hardly in tune with the interesting, rustic interior and was too loud; - Containers for cutlery appear unaesthetic and inferior (visible traces of old labels inside); - There was a strange and stuffy smell in the back room. Dishes: - the tomato soup was a bit too sour; - the napkin in my bread basket was stained with oil and wrinkled (used again?); - the burger was mediocre. With these small corrections the restaurant could be something very special!

The food came super quickly, the service was very friendly, the food was very good.

We visited as a group of 7 friends on a weekend break. This place had been recommended by a German friend. We are all retirees, the average age of the other customers was much lower. 2 out of 7 of us speak fluent German and we took the trouble to sort out the orders with the non German speaking guests beforehand. And also recorded who had what to sort out who had to pay how much. Nonetheless the staff were unfriendly, Unsmiling and worst of all were bad mouthing us to colleagues, in Italian. One of our group is Italian and overhead this diatribe and pointed out to the staff member, that he should be careful what he says about customers, in whatever language. The food was acceptable, the service wasn't.

Eating less than average, the praised fried potatoes are no longer what they used to be after the change of operator. The service is mostly strange and not exactly a beacon of good humor and politeness... we come less and less often and look for alternatives that put more heart into their business.

In a very sweet spot, on a beautiful square. The outside area, where we sat, had large wooden benches that catered for more than one group, which we really liked. Service a bit uneven. The first young man who came to inform us that their kitchen is now closed was completely unsmiling and almost bored. The young woman who took the order was clearly more pleasant and polite. Prices could be a little lower. But we will definitely go again, because as an overall experience it was very beautiful.

The food and service clearly get 4 stars. There is a 3 star deduction for trying to get an extra €10 out of the careless tourist's pocket. If the total hadn't seemed strange to us and we'd shown the bill, we would never have noticed it - as it may have happened with many other customers.

Charming German tavern ! We had the schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln, it was the classic taste we were looking for; really good, and the portion is plenty enough. The owner gently let us order just a couple of minutes before the kitchen closed; thanks alot to him. The place it's located on is also quite nice to enjoy a few beers throughout the day !

There was a hair on the schnitzel and also it was the worst schnitzel ı've ever had. Waiters were so rude. I DEFİNİTELY DON'T RECOMMEND!

I grew up in the Thämers area and have known the restaurant forever. The ambience is still great! Unfortunately, the food is no longer great. The portions have become small and the prices have risen. The once well-seasoned, crispy fried potatoes are swimming in fat, are unseasoned and limp. Where are the onions? Everything tastes ok, but no longer tasty. Since the team change, the service has no longer been good. Repeat orders are forgotten, we had to follow up several times. Requests are accepted, but not implemented at the bar/kitchen. Thämers is simply no longer what it was a few years ago. I fear that Thämers will degenerate into a tourist trap, similar to the Schanze Grandma's Pharmacy and Frank & Frei. A pity. But it's enough for a beer after work.

In the summer you can sit outside nicely and the beer tastes good. The food is mediocre - the price-performance ratio is not right. But the service is really bad - unfriendly, sloppy and even a “thank you/please” seems to be asking too much…

We ordered a lot of things, large portions, everything was delicious, the only but important drawback is that the “onion pie” contains pork, but this is not stated on the menu.

Good location. The Aperol Spritz was very good and tasty. The draft beer was also very good. There was a lunch menu with a number of dishes. We just had a drink there. The service was friendly and very polite. The location was also very clean and well maintained.

Had a tarte flambée with goat cheese and honey. Very tasty and definitely worth recommending. Unfortunately I was even more hungry afterwards than before. Everything was full and therefore very tight. Don't eat too much, otherwise there won't be enough space between the tables to get back. Otherwise everything is great!

We visited during the Euro 2024 & visited during a Belgium game I believe. They had a good crowd going for the game & they had cover from the rain for the games. The cheese & meat boards are delicious, great Riesling, delicious cheeseburgers, & great Schnitzel. English may not the be their first language but they know what good customer service is.

Went into Thämers to have a couple of beers and Bratkartoffel. We were welcomed to a warm German waiter who took are of us. He notified us that at 19:30 there would be a reservation but he mentioned we could stay until then. Soon after there was a shift change. At 18:00 we found a waiter come up to us politely asking what we would have to drink. We followed up on our order, and soon after came another waiter asking us to leave the table in 20 minutes. What? Seriously? You just take our order and tell us to leave. I speak fluent German and clarified the situation which then went my way. However, I have to say that some of the waiters have a racial intent although they aren’t German and their own customers speak better German than them. Thämres management really needs to talk to their waiters and sensitise them.

4 persons on the terrasse outside. Located outside the very touristed city centre we had a great experoy. Food was ok and with the pillows we snatched from another table seating was also great. The overhead shade was rolled back as the sun went down and service and atmosphere was perfect.

Sat at the table for ages until someone at least asked for drinks 🧐My cobbled-together burger looked better than it tasted on a scraped wooden board 🤢!The second round of drinks was canceled altogether...no one found their way to the table after that Walk past countless times 🥳 Saying goodbye is also more of a foreign word....mhhhh ok 😅 The best comes last.....but PSSSSST👀🤨😎

It seems to always be full. We were lucky and after a short wait we got a table for two outside. After that it took a while before you could order. The drinks and food were delivered quickly. Food (schnitzel, fried potatoes, Labskaus) were very good. The fried potatoes, they are supposed to be good and are not bad. Personally, I prefer to make these with caraway and bacon. But they were still very good. There are so many ways to prepare fried potatoes... The red beer, well, in Franconia you can get Zwickel and red beer, but not Pils, in Hamburg the other way around... It's all a matter of taste ;)

Traditional restaurant with a wonderful rustic atmosphere. The service staff keeps an overview and is in a good mood even during peak times. The menu offers something for everyone. Highly recommend the Thämers Burger. We look forward to the next visit.

The place is nice, the food is good, the service is okay. But not any more. And the fried potatoes described in such a fantastic way are average at best. No bacon, no onions, you know it differently. The cucumber salad and its dressing were also just okay, every housewife can do better. The atmosphere was very harmonious and the restaurant was very well received. That's good, but I don't have to go there again
