Bun Pho Hang in Hamburg

I had crispy duck with rice and peanut sauce. It was the best Asian food I've ever eaten! This restaurant is now my absolute favorite!

The noodles were extremely salty, not just feel this way, all my friends said it’s extremely salty and I went for the waiter politely told him that it’s too salty, he replied to me aggressively with a bit of racism :” how long have you been in Germany? You just need to order more drinks” I can’t believe what I heard, it just totally ruined my and my friends day. But fairly chicken was ok, the noodles were sucks ! No recommend. At least for what I have as an Asian , no recommend!

😕Decided to go to this place because it had good rating on google maps but we were disappointed. We were 4 persons. No wait, no reservation needed. 👎🏼 the menu has several options (with chicken, beef, pork, vegetables), we ordered a lot of dishes but all of them lacked flavor minus the crispy chicken. Portions were big. Service was regular. 💵 cash only, no cards. 🍽️ the menu is only in german, not English.

Disastrous service. In keeping with the fast food atmosphere of the restaurant, the order was taken after less than 5 minutes. But then we waited forever for our drinks, even though some of the waiters were standing comfortably behind the bar. When we asked politely several times when our food would come because we had to go on a tour, they said "in 10 minutes" or "immediately" several times. The first of the two dishes we ordered only arrived after 40 minutes. When we wanted to cancel the second one (at that point we still had 15 minutes until the tour started and had waited 45 minutes), the boss began to "reprimand" us in a very unfriendly and loud manner, saying that this wasn't possible and that we had to pay. Not once did we hear an apology. The table next to us got their food after about 10 minutes. It wasn't particularly good either.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Each had 1 starter and 1 main course. It tasted very good and we were full!!

Terrible experience. The owner was initially polite but became rude and secretive when asked about the sauce ingredients, refusing to give a clear answer. The service was unfriendly, and after finishing our meal, we were abruptly told to leave—15 minutes before closing—while other guests were still being served. We felt unwelcome and disrespected, as if we were being pushed out for no reason.

The lady pushed us to let us sit with someone. 2 girls came and it was so annoying for both side because they also didn’t want to sit with us. Food is not so tasty, usually i love Vietnamese food but this one is the worse one i ate. Don’t eat rolls they are the worse

Had Lunch today, first time in Hamburg and it took me by surprise. Ngl it feels like home in a way, especially the Pho remind me of Pho in Ha Noi. The decorations is simple but good enough, it's a bit crowded during lunch and dinner. Would come here again if I can.

One of the best Chinese Vietnamese food I have ever enjoyed

We came for dinner and were disappointed with the Bo Bun, which isn't in a bowl, but just the separate ingredients, making it difficult to eat because the flavors don't blend together. The place is cute and the service is fast. However, a surprise at the end: they don't take menus and you have to pay 50 cents per dish you want to take home if you haven't finished them.

Great food, freshly prepared and very tasty. Friendly service. Prices for drinks and food are relatively reasonable. The decor is simple and functional, but the quality of the food justifies it. I would happily recommend Bun Pho Hang and will definitely return.

We were deliciously full. The prices are very reasonable, the food isn't fancy, but it's fresh and good. We had to add a little more seasoning, but it was better than the other way around. The restaurant is nice and quiet, and the service is very friendly. We would come again. Thank you very much!

Elendigt smagsløst mad, som vi tvivler på overhovedet er hjemmelavet. Alt er sovset ind i sur-sød sauce. Virkeligt ringe mad som IKKE kan anbefales.

Insider tip if you want to eat a Tom Kha. For about 5 euros it was really tasty and with a portion of rice for 1.50€ it was a really good portion. A small drawback in the service because the person seemed a bit grumpy, but it can also make for a special charm 😅

First of all: already at the night bar table a guest was treated very rudely, cheekily and in a manner that should have been the moment to leave. I then ordered a Vietnamese dish consisting of noodles, salad and tofu, as described in the menu, I received the tofu in an indefinable brown sauce, when asked: that's the way it is, tofu doesn't taste good on its own, all friendly requests I was dismissed very unkindly and unwillingly. Finally I got an empty plate and was able to fish the tofu out of the sauce... Note about the toilets (were there at 1:00 p.m.): I hope the kitchen is more clean

Went there to eat because of the good rating on Google and were unfortunately disappointed. When we came in it smelled like a canal, the furnishings were very spartan. Well, we thought if the food was that good, we'd stay anyway. We had wontons as a starter and crispy duck with vegetables as our main course. The wontons were okay, nice and hot and crispy. The main course looked very good visually, unfortunately the meat was quite fatty and the sauce had no taste and definitely didn't taste like Vietnamese.

Spontaneous visit for dinner. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy, so we were grateful that we were given a table in the basement, where it was much quieter. Of course the atmosphere wasn't quite as typical. The service was very friendly, the food came quickly and was very good and plentiful. The sushi was amazing!! ATTENTION: You cannot pay by card here!

We came in by chance and were pleasantly surprised! We had summer rolls, Pho Bo and Vietnamese coffee. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious, the coffee was wonderfully aromatic, and the Pho Bo had a hearty broth - a little too salty for my taste, but still very tasty. The quality of the food in combination with the fair prices convinced us. Definitely recommended!

Delicious soup and excellent duck and fried rice

Nice atmosphere, service was ok. We didn't find the food tasty. The sauce tasted like a cheap, warmed one from the Asian store. Old, dry vegetables and the tofu had a nasty aftertaste. We couldn't finish it. The house lemonade was delicious.

The service was very nice. The Vietnamese spring rolls were very tasty. Unfortunately I didn't really like the chicken with vegetables, the sauce just wasn't good and some of the vegetables weren't cooked yet.

Do you want to eat cheaply and with decent portions? That's exactly what I found here. Really delicious food at reasonable prices, especially for the area. We'd love to come back!

I had rice with crispy duck. It was delicious, fresh tasting, crispy and juicy. The portion was quite a big portion at a fair price. However, I was surprised by the payment request in cash - the restaurant did not have the cash-only sign at the entrance unlike other such restaurants. After spending some time negotiating, finally they accepted payment by a visa card.

Large portion with lots of sauce. The tofu was fried very tasty! In addition, a very good price-performance ratio. Definitely try it out if you are near the Reeperbahn in Hamburg. Recommended for vegetarians and vegans.

Nice place. Friendly staff. I came here spontaneously today. Had summer rolls with chicken and prawns with vegetables. Summer rolls were ok. However, the shrimp with vegetables were vegetables with shrimp. 5 shrimp in a shrimp dish is simply not enough. The vegetables were crunchy, the rice was ok. The sauce was a bit “little”...quite neutral. Price-performance ok. Card payment not possible.

I have never eaten here but I would never eat here nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone. The time is not clearly defined and the service is also the worst!

First of all it took forever for a service to come... and the salad was extremely spicy... I like spicy food but you couldn't eat it. When asked, they said we always do it that way. I had the same one last year and it wasn't spicy. Well...was there the last time

It was by far the worst Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. Starting with the ambience outside where it simply smelled like sewage, to the service where we hardly got our questions answered, to the really disgusting food ever. It was unappetizingly prepared, there was no trace of the fresh herbs described and the sauce tasted like rancid gravy. But the worst thing was that we were insulted after we returned the food. Of course we didn't want to pay (the food was practically untouched), we were shouted at by several people and threatened with the police. This is really underground and I strongly advise you not to visit this restaurant!!!!

The service didn't speak German or English properly and communication was a bit difficult. The food was very tasty and fresh! The ambience is rather simple and not particularly cozy and doesn't invite you to linger.

I was a regular customer here. Live opposite. I have been here again and again with friends and business partners. Apparently there are so many tourists in this area. Kindness is no longer necessary. Despite the almost empty shop, I am now told in a rude tone where I have to sit. Once I accidentally broke a cup and I was supposed to pay for it. Given the amount of money I left here, I would have expected more goodwill.

Ich war Stammkunde hier. Wohne gegenüber. Bin mit Freunden und Geschäftspartnern immer wieder hier gewesen. Offenbar ist ob der vielen Touristen in diesem Viertel. Freundlichkeit nicht mehr von nöten. Trotz beinahe leerem Laden, wird mir nun in rüden Ton vorgeschrieben, wo ich zu sitzen habe. Einmal habe ich versehentlich eine Tasse zerbrochen und ich sollte sie bezahlen. Bei dem, was ich hier an Geld gelassen habe, hätte ich mehr Kulanz erwartet. Mich haben sie als Kunden verloren.

Hier stimmt Preis-Leistung! Sehr gutes aber relativ kleines asiatisches Restaurant auf dem Kiez. Freundliche Bedienung und sehr gutes Essen. Nachdem unser Hotel in der Nähe war, sind wir zufällig auf das kleine Restaurant gestoßen und haben unseren Besuch nicht bereut. Wer für die heutige Zeit ein preislich ansprechendes und leckeres asiatisches Essen sucht der ist dort absolut richtig.

Ordered a pho with tofu. It was a delicious one, flavours are well rounded for pho and not bland. Service wasn’t friendly, didn’t feel welcomed and felt like we were shouted at when just asking if they speak English. They also only accept cash. For both of that we give it 3 stars. Menu included English though. Atmosphere was nice due to interesting Vietnamese and Hamburg themed interior.

The food was great, but unfortunately when I asked about the milk in the coffee, the waitress said quite briskly, “You don’t know anything. You have no idea about Vietnamese coffee.”, because I didn’t know that the condensed milk is already in the coffee glass as an invisible sediment. That hurt me a bit...:(

Nice Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood. The food was very tasty (crispy chicken with peanut sauce) and the price-performance ratio is very good. We sat right by the window and were able to watch the goings-on on Davidstrasse while we ate.

The bun wasn't what I expected, just a brown, muddy sauce with tofu and a few lettuce leaves and noodles. Normally my favorite food, this time I thought about letting something go back for the first time. Absolutely no recommendation.

Good food at a fair price where I can recommend the Bún Chả, which has great grill flavours on their savoury, soft meat. Service is a little slow but friendly and the Atmosphere is mix between a little Vietnam with a lot of harbour / maritime elements. I'll visit again to try a different dish
