I had the best burger I have ever eaten, and the other food is also great. Run by nice people, cozy and comfortable place, and great prices.

I still know Teufels Küchen from Ottensener Hauptstrasse, a super nice shop. Delicious dishes, nice staff :)

Incredibly friendly team, varied menu, nice seating inside and outside. In short: you leave the restaurant full and in a good mood. All the ingredients were fresh and it tasted good. Vegetarians will also be happy here. We'd love to come back and continue trying out the menu 🙂

I found this place by walking around Altona where my airbnb is. OMG I got the Lamm Frikadellen which are lamb meatballs on a bed of mashed potatoes with a spinach and pea sauce. I have nothing but it was my first meal in Hamburg and I LOVED IT!

I met and fell in love in 2005, the year I moved to HH. The Merguez sausages in balsamic sauce are simply on point, great cinema! The store closed in 2016 and opened in a new location in 2018. Great people, both team and guests. Clear recommendation for Hamburg residents and tourists.

The food was really tasty, especially the vegetable burger with grilled eggplant. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. Nevertheless, it is not overcrowded. The portions are plentiful. The prices are moderate. The service is super friendly and very quick. The ambience suits the district. Here life takes place on the sidewalk and that's how it is in the devil's kitchen. The outside area is the sidewalk. This makes Teufels Küchen a very special Altona restaurant.

What the previous speakers describe here in the reviews is simply incomprehensible! Restaurant?, premises...where? A french fries shop is more likely. We looked for a restaurant in Hamburg and decided on it because of the name. 2 burgers with fries including drinks €35 is a proud price. You could only choose between burger or burger. There's still goulash, but that doesn't make it any better. Burgers look good, but that's all. Taste: Hunger drove it in... fries without salt and hard (not crispy). Didn't pay any attention to the "kitchen" when ordering, it was also too full of employees. Outside on the sidewalk there are marquee sets where you can have a really comfortable meal, where one cyclist crosses another every 30 seconds. After the meal, back to the small booth, only one employee at the cash register... and then you saw it, devil's kitchen - in the truest sense. Such a dirty shop, I feel sick to my stomach and my wife can't get away from the bowl in the hotel. Thanks so much

We are repeat offenders and feel really comfortable here. Delicious food, family atmosphere, cool style. Our favorites are either the oriental bolo and merguez from the standard menu or we find something new on the changing menu like today: Maultaschen in mace cream! Always great! *****

I love this store and wish I could give it more than just 5 stars. As a vegetarian, I would like to have one or two more vegetarian dishes, but otherwise the food is simply phenomenally good

Great small cozy place with soul food

Bomb. Luckily most of the restaurants in Ottensen were fully booked, which meant we ended up in the devil's kitchen. The devil cooks well and with passion. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back.

Simple restaurant with several small dining rooms but overall very nice and pleasant... you order at the counter where they cook and the food is served to you at your seat. African Arabic Persian influences: very tasty and varied cuisine... the dishes change regularly for an inexpensive and healthy meal. Definitely worth trying

I've known this location since it probably started on Ottenser Hauptstrasse, i.e. for at least 8 years. The food there hasn't lost any of its good quality over time, which is rare these days, respect! If you want to eat well/tasty and at an acceptable price, you've come to the right place, I recommend the classic: Merguez. I now live in Lübeck but was there yesterday with friends and they were also very happy!!

Die Burger sind mal was anderes aber wirklich sehr lecker, vor allem der Lachs Burger mit Wasabi! Auch die Pasta ist super vom Preis/Leistung Verhältnis.

We found this place accidentally, on a quiet, well-located street in Altona. We were sitting outside, when we just found out we were supposed to order on our own, fine! They have all the options on an inside board, a little confusing to read, but worth a look. The place itself is simple, it could be a little cleaner as we have to go through the kitchen and service place to go to the toilets, which was a bit messy. Other than that, I recommend it, the food was good, it's worth it. The price is right, the location is also good. We had cheeseburger 🍔 with fries and taste good. You order it on your own and they bring it to your table. Also, the mayonnaise and ketchup should already come on site, which doesn't happen. So you order separately and they give you a biiiigg bottle of it, not so hygienic as everyone can touch it. CARD PAYMENT JUST ABOVE 20€!!!!

Waren durch Zufall spontan das erste Mal hier. Hatten das Galloway Gulasch und die orientalische Bolognese. Das Essen war fantastisch. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Es schmeckt immer frisch. Man kann gemütlich draußen sitzen. Viele Gerichte sind halal, was mir persönlich wichtig ist.

Kleines Ecklokal zum abholen oder vor Ort essen. Öffnet mittags und abends. Die Leute sind super freundlich und entspannt. Man sitzt wie in einer Privatwohnung mit viel Charme und coolen Bildern an den Wänden. Die Auswahl steht mit Kreide auf der Wand hinter dem Tresen, man bestellt direkt am Tresen, bedient wird man aber am Tisch. Gutes vegetarisches Angebot. Die Pasta mit Pilzragout war eine Riesenportion mit reichlich Beilage und sehr lecker. Auch die anderen Speisen, die an die Nebentische serviert wurden, sahen klasse aus. Alles zusammen mit einem Kaltgetränk bei 18€ fand ich fair. Nicht günstig, aber absolut angemessen. Ich komme ganz sicher wieder!

Seit über 20 Jahren bin ich Fan der Merguez. Ich war Anfang der 2000er öfter in der alten Teufelsküche und nun nach über 1 Jahrzehnt endlich mal wieder dort zum Mittagessen, in der neuen (auch schon wieder alten) Location. Das Essen ist immer noch top. Vielen Dank!

Rica comida variada en un ambiente hogareño. Puedes encontrar desde la clásica hamburguesa hasta el exótico tandoori. El personal el muy agradable una pena que cierren tan pronto. No es exageradamente caro por menos de 20€ puedes disfrutar de su gastronomía. Si tienes suerte y hace buen tiempo podrás disfrutarlo en su magnifica y colorida terraza.

Lecker aber der Preis etwas zu hoch. Die Raüme waren kalt. Kann ich verstehen bei dem Gaspreisen aber die Teller und Geschirr waren auch sehr kalt. Das geht besser.

In der offenen Küche, die eine Marotte deutscher Professionalität ist, wird viel Frisches verwendet und in Pfannen, Töpfen oder Woks Köstlichkeiten kreiert. Sie können sehen, wie das Essen zubereitet wird.

Endlich hat es wieder eröffnet! Ich gehe dort immer hin, wenn ich gut und schnell essen möchte. Das Essen wird in der offenen Küche frisch zubereitet. Nach der Neu-Eröffnung für mich etwas zu Burger-lastig.

Kleines Eckrestaurant: Eine nette Auswahl an Speisen, orientalisch angehaucht, Salat, Kartoffelbrei, Merguez (scharf gewürzte Hackfleisch-Bratwurst), Lammwürstchen, (Veggie-)Burger, alles was das Herz begehrt. Mit Liebe zubereitet und sehr freundlicher, flinker Service! Einfach mal vorbeischauen, es lohnt sich... Und für Ottenser-Verhältnisse: zu erschwinglichen Preisen. So lieben wir unser Multi-Kulti -Hamburg!
