The service and ambiance are good, which I think is why it's so expensive. A bottle of water costs €8; the biftheki is all meat, no feta. The grilled food is quite good, but I don't think the tzatziki even has garlic :D For a plate with three types of meat and half a bottle of water, I paid €30. Actually, the kebab shop around the corner delivered the same thing for €10. I don't think it's worth the price/performance ratio.

Great restaurant. One of the best in a very wide area. I've been here five times so far, and each time the food has been excellent and the atmosphere is great. I just walked into some kind of celebration today? I don't know if someone was getting married or something, but there was a party atmosphere that permeated the entire restaurant. Otherwise, the ambiance and food are more upscale.

Are you paying attention? The food itself is really very good, authentic and well prepared. The ambience is authentically Greek, but in my subjective opinion it needs modernization - especially in terms of seating. Our glasses here were also very milky recently and we didn't receive adequate appreciation when we complained

Das Personal und der Chef total freundlich zuvorkommend und super nett. Wir hatten eine Geburtstagsfeier und haben noch einen kostenlosen Nchtistich mit Wunderkerzen bekommen. Immer wieder gerne.

I can't understand the good reviews. The food was just average and overpriced. The service was ok, but there was no real friendliness like you would expect from a Greek restaurant. The atmosphere was appealing but the seating was very tight, so it wasn't really comfortable. There was only a 1.5 hour slot for the reservation, so everything was geared towards getting your business done quickly because the next ones are already on the mat. We were disappointed and can't understand the hype as the food doesn't live up to the high prices. Then we'd better go to the little Greek restaurant around the corner.

My wife and I went to Thalassa for the first time yesterday and were totally thrilled. We received a very friendly welcome and above-average service!! The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic ☺️ We look forward to next time 😍

We were there on a Tuesday evening, and it was packed. So, be sure to make a reservation in advance. Full marks and heartily recommended.

The food is very good, and the staff is friendly. On Saturday evenings, it's quite busy and noisy, so the waiter can't understand every order right away. The guests are sometimes a bit of a posh, wannabe. But the owner can't do anything about that.

Wir haben hier Samstagabend mit nur zwei Stunden Vorlaufzeit reserviert. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Zur Begrüßung gab es erstmal einen Ouzo auf’s Haus. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen wurde zügig serviert. Den Kritiken hinsichtlich Preis und Portionsgrösse können wir uns nicht anschließen. Wir hatten einen Duo- und einen Trioteller und haben es nicht geschafft alles aufzuessen. Die Preise empfanden wir als angemessen und nicht teurer, als bei anderen Griechen. Besondere Hervorzuheben ist aber die Qualität. Wir hatten noch nie so saftiges Gyros und Fleischküchle wie hier. Als wir gehen wollten, wurde plötzlich laut griechische Musik gespielt und von den Kellnern tausende Papierservietten in die Luft geworfen. Der Wirt bat uns doch nochmal Platz zu nehmen um das Spektakel mitzuerleben. Danach wurden wir herzlich mit Handschlag verabschiedet. Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend, der uns in guter Erinnerung bleibt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

The food is good and the prices are high. The restaurant is quite loud and the staff a bit rude.

Nice atmosphere and that's about it. On the duo plate, the gyro was hard and old, the skewer was dry, the chocolate souffle dessert was horrible and generally far too expensive for this quality. There aren't many good Greek restaurants in Munich, and Thalassa isn't one of them. (Saturday evening 12/21/24)

It's nicely designed, the staff is very attentive, the food was actually a poem, the meat was spot on. It's just a bit expensive, we can't do it several times a year.

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly. We used to enjoy being guests, but we won't go there anymore for now. There was no ouzo either before or after the meal despite the hefty bill. The main course was only lukewarm and the tzatziki was too salty. Prices have risen significantly. In addition, the allergen menu is incorrect and the waiters didn't know about it. Very critical for allergy sufferers. It's a shame, maybe things will get better again.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere, very courteous and polite service, hot food even very late (we didn't arrive until around 9:30 p.m.), excellent food. Overall everything was great and we would love to come back. The parking situation directly in front of the restaurant is a bit tense, but you can always find something in the nearby Einhornallee.

The boss/managing director in particular cares a lot about the well-being of his guests. The food was also really great and the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. Clear 5 stars for me :)

I wanted to spend a nice evening with my 3 colleagues in what, according to the description, is an authentic Greek tavern. The owner of this taverna apparently loves the sea, so he named his tavern after it. The waiters follow your daydreams, are friendly when ordering, say yes to what you ordered and are off. This "meat patty" without feta filling has nothing in common with the traditional bifteki, the rice noodles with tomato sauce from the oven are unimaginative and are reminiscent of spaghetti with tomato sauce for children, by the way now for 15.50 euros, not the price of 12.50 euros the website. My colleague ordered two starters, but wanted to have them served on a plate, which was initially confirmed by the waiters, but then could not be implemented. My colleague ordered white wine spritzer, 0.5 liters for 15, 20 euros, not like on the website for 9.90 euros. Of course, if you generate such prices you can get to your boat faster. When we wanted to speak to the owner he wasn't there. The helmsman not on his boat, where the Ems fires are blazing and all the hatches are open? If I lived in Homer's time, I would wish to be untied from that helmsman's mast and follow the sirens. We got to know Greek hospitality differently.

Gutes Essen & Stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre. Abeerrr, die Preise laut Speisekarte stimmen nicht mit den Preisen im Kassensystem überein. Für eine Vorspeise und ein Getränk (€11,30 lt. Karte), wurden mir jedoch €16,30 berechnet. Das ist schon happig... einfach mal 45% Preisabweichung.

We wanted to spontaneously go out for dinner today and Thalassa was nearby. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner without a reservation and shown to our table. Free ouzo was served before the order began. The food was brought within a reasonable time. The portions are filling. The dessert was very good, especially the mousse au chocolat is recommended. After payment, a greeting from the boss was offered. We are very happy with the restaurant and would love to come back.

First time visit to this charming Greek restaurant. Super lively on a Friday evening (recommend reservations). The staff is delightful and the food is great. Really enjoyed it. We shared taramasalata and peppers stuffed with feta. My friend had the Bifteki and I had the lamb with rosemary roast potatoes. Both excellent. Highly recommended!

Disappointingly, the hallumi salad is missing the pine nuts, roses and no bread with olive cream. You can still order anything gyro with fries and potatoes are included

High prices but very high quality so absolutely fine! My root Greek and my benchmark for other Greeks. You should make a reservation because it's usually very busy ;) the only drawback is the parking situation, but a short walk to the car after dinner isn't a bad idea either :)

My girlfriend and I had to wait what felt like half an hour for the menu and were then served by an extremely unfriendly waiter. The food was in no way worth the price. At the neighboring table, the main course was brought incorrectly twice and the other neighboring table neither received an ouzo as a welcome, let alone an ouzo after the hefty bill. In the middle of summer we were told at 9:30 p.m. to finish our drinks because the outdoor area closed at 10 p.m. Conclusion: This Greek restaurant is definitely not recommended.

1.) das Essen: ein normales Gyros mit wenig Zaziki für stolze 19,-- €! dieser Preis ist VÖLLIG ÜBERZOGEN, viel ZU TEUER!!!! schlichtweg eine unerhörte FRECHHEIT! 2.) die Reservierung: a) unser telefonischer Anruf mit Bandansage wurde komplett ignoriert, erst der zweite Anruf ermöglichte die tatsächliche Reservierung. b) eine Reservierung per Mail wurde nicht in die Tat umgesetzt! 3.) der Service: a) der empfangende Ober konnte mit unserer Reservierung nichts anfangen, erst der zweite zu Hilfe gerufene Ober platzierte uns dann irgendwo an einem elendig kleinen Tischchen, das auch noch an einem unbequemen, wie nachträglich notdürftig gefundenen Plätzchen lag, das gerade so wirkte, als ob es früher nie und nimmer für speisende Gäste gedacht gewesen war! b) einen Ouzo als Einladung kredenzte man uns nicht! hierbei kommt es uns nicht auf diese jeweils 5.-- € an, sondern auf den Umstand, daß man dem Personal geradezu wurschtegal und völlig nebensächlich ist, denn es geht dieser "Essensfabrik" einzig und alleine um Umsatz und Geld! c) die Preise: alle Speisen und Getränke total ÜBERTEUERT! Fazit: von einem Besuch dieser Restaurants (= auch desjenigen in Trudering) ist ernsthaft abzuraten! Für uns war es definitiv das und der letzte! Kalinichta!

Deeply disappointed We ordered a double teller and a pork teller. Flavor was fine, ambiance was good but what was truly disappointing was the 48euro wine we got when we ordered the .5l 16euro wine. When we got the bill we saw the wine had been billed for 48eur without it ever being mentioned or us having pointed it out from the menu. Clearly a sign of inflation in Germany where people take you for a ride to make money.

Five of us spontaneously went there today without a reservation!!! Wanted to sit inside because of bees etc. ,no problem at all!!! Nice restaurant, good and funny service, food really recommended!!! Thank you very much and we will be back

Hier kann man überteuert durchschnittliches griechisches Essen genießen. Für Vegetarier wenig Auswahl. Salat mit Haloumi war nichts Besonderes und auch nicht frisch. Qualität das Geld nicht wert. Sitzen auf der Terrasse draußen sehr angenehm aber Service sehr unaufmerksam und nicht freundlich. Aus meiner Sicht hat das Restaurant deutlich nachgelassen im Vergleich zu vor ca 5 Jahren.

The food is really good, the atmosphere is fine. It's a matter of taste. However, I had to observe several no-gos, and that on just ONE visit: Ouzo on ice was ordered at the next table. This was simply poured out of the ouzos that had already been poured and which were on the counter and prepared as a welcome. According to the motto: alcohol disinfects. The steak was cut open at the table wearing a rubber glove with the palm of my hand and a knife. Yes, some TV chefs do that and it's supposed to be HIP. Nevertheless, you still have all the release agent from the disposable gloves on your food. Apart from the garbage. Sustainability is over again. A steak fork would have worked too and is even more elegant. A woman who apparently urgently needed to get out of the garden to the toilet and was already waiting for someone to ask about the toilet was fobbed off with the humorous comment that the toilet was a kilometer down the road. Only another waiter showed the desperate woman the toilet. I left the restaurant in a hurry when an acquaintance of the boss appeared in the dining room and loudly took up his space, not space, in the restaurant. Instead of moderating him a little, the boss immediately put on his friend's favorite music, who in turn hugged or high-fived the people, including my companion, who looked at him in horror because he was causing half the store to be stirred up with his loud manner. And all of this in a restaurant that is chic and charges significantly higher prices, which are only justified by the kitchen's really good cooking skills. Too bad. We're going somewhere else again. There are several alternatives in the area, simpler but also with very good food and better service.

Food overall ok. Ambience nothing really special...but ok, they're trying to do something with the location. NEGATIVE HIGHLIGHT - they actually charge €1 per glass of drinking water / even though 3 of us ate there (including starters and wine)...and then the waiter said - "we'll go bankrupt if everyone orders tap water here".. ...from my point of view a no-go - and then you hear such nonsense from the waiter.....Greed for profit and sales at any price.....SORRY dear team - but you won't see me in your establishment anymore ;)

Star deducted because the portion of my Paros plate was quite small. 3 calamari and a hand of gyros for €22.50. Despite the bread and salad, I wasn't really full. Another star deducted because the prices on the online menu are not current. Each dish costs on average 2 euros more than shown there. My food tasted very good and the service was friendly and quick.

The food was good. The portions were adequate in my opinion. We sat outside (on the street), which was fine in itself, but the store really has a wasp problem in that area. As soon as the drinks and later the food were on the table, we could no longer save ourselves from small animals. Unfortunately, when we spoke to the staff, they were unable to help us. We won't be coming back (at least in the summer).

We were extremely disappointed. Bifteki, a Greek classic, without sheep's cheese for 23.50 euros. Were there for the first time and the manager was very unfriendly. We were down one person and he made a non-favorable comment. The service also left something to be desired. No glasses were cleared away either. We didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink. We wanted to order dessert, but had to wait too long and were ignored. A non-Greek Greek Attracted by the good reviews, four of us went to Thalassa today. The fact that we were moved from the original beautiful table because one person canceled, the table then remained empty and was finally occupied by a guest is strange, but it is not included in the rating. The service All the service staff who served us were reasonably correct, but there was no sign of the usual Greek hospitality. An ouzo as a welcome or at the end - not available in Thalassa. A piercing look after there was no generous tip, it was free. I have rarely felt as uncomfortable in a restaurant as I did in Thalassa! The food In terms of taste, all the dishes were okay, but the quantities were atypically small for the prices quoted. In Thalassa, a bifteki does not contain sheep's cheese, but is a simple minced steak, which every other Greek calls susuki. A query about this was answered with an annoyed look and the card being handed over. The fact that the menu published on the Internet no longer has anything to do with the current menu in terms of prices, which you only notice once you're there, fits with Thalassa's overall appearance. The only positive thing was the friendly farewell from the owner, but I can't buy anything from that either. The bad impression remains!

A lot needs to be improved so that we can order something there again. The prices online do not correspond to what you actually pay for the order on site. Each dish then costs an average of €3 more.
