Thalassa Sendling in München

I wanted to spend a nice evening with my 3 colleagues in what, according to the description, is an authentic Greek tavern. The owner of this taverna apparently loves the sea, so he named his tavern after it. The waiters follow your daydreams, are friendly when ordering, say yes to what you ordered and are off. This "meat patty" without feta filling has nothing in common with the traditional bifteki, the rice noodles with tomato sauce from the oven are unimaginative and are reminiscent of spaghetti with tomato sauce for children, by the way now for 15.50 euros, not the price of 12.50 euros the website. My colleague ordered two starters, but wanted to have them served on a plate, which was initially confirmed by the waiters, but then could not be implemented. My colleague ordered white wine spritzer, 0.5 liters for 15, 20 euros, not like on the website for 9.90 euros. Of course, if you generate such prices you can get to your boat faster. When we wanted to speak to the owner he wasn't there. The helmsman not on his boat, where the Ems fires are blazing and all the hatches are open? If I lived in Homer's time, I would wish to be untied from that helmsman's mast and follow the sirens. We got to know Greek hospitality differently.

Gutes Essen & Stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre. Abeerrr, die Preise laut Speisekarte stimmen nicht mit den Preisen im Kassensystem überein. Für eine Vorspeise und ein Getränk (€11,30 lt. Karte), wurden mir jedoch €16,30 berechnet. Das ist schon happig... einfach mal 45% Preisabweichung.

We wanted to spontaneously go out for dinner today and Thalassa was nearby. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner without a reservation and shown to our table. Free ouzo was served before the order began. The food was brought within a reasonable time. The portions are filling. The dessert was very good, especially the mousse au chocolat is recommended. After payment, a greeting from the boss was offered. We are very happy with the restaurant and would love to come back.

First time visit to this charming Greek restaurant. Super lively on a Friday evening (recommend reservations). The staff is delightful and the food is great. Really enjoyed it. We shared taramasalata and peppers stuffed with feta. My friend had the Bifteki and I had the lamb with rosemary roast potatoes. Both excellent. Highly recommended!

Disappointingly, the hallumi salad is missing the pine nuts, roses and no bread with olive cream. You can still order anything gyro with fries and potatoes are included

High prices but very high quality so absolutely fine! My root Greek and my benchmark for other Greeks. You should make a reservation because it's usually very busy ;) the only drawback is the parking situation, but a short walk to the car after dinner isn't a bad idea either :)

My girlfriend and I had to wait what felt like half an hour for the menu and were then served by an extremely unfriendly waiter. The food was in no way worth the price. At the neighboring table, the main course was brought incorrectly twice and the other neighboring table neither received an ouzo as a welcome, let alone an ouzo after the hefty bill. In the middle of summer we were told at 9:30 p.m. to finish our drinks because the outdoor area closed at 10 p.m. Conclusion: This Greek restaurant is definitely not recommended.

1.) das Essen: ein normales Gyros mit wenig Zaziki für stolze 19,-- €! dieser Preis ist VÖLLIG ÜBERZOGEN, viel ZU TEUER!!!! schlichtweg eine unerhörte FRECHHEIT! 2.) die Reservierung: a) unser telefonischer Anruf mit Bandansage wurde komplett ignoriert, erst der zweite Anruf ermöglichte die tatsächliche Reservierung. b) eine Reservierung per Mail wurde nicht in die Tat umgesetzt! 3.) der Service: a) der empfangende Ober konnte mit unserer Reservierung nichts anfangen, erst der zweite zu Hilfe gerufene Ober platzierte uns dann irgendwo an einem elendig kleinen Tischchen, das auch noch an einem unbequemen, wie nachträglich notdürftig gefundenen Plätzchen lag, das gerade so wirkte, als ob es früher nie und nimmer für speisende Gäste gedacht gewesen war! b) einen Ouzo als Einladung kredenzte man uns nicht! hierbei kommt es uns nicht auf diese jeweils 5.-- € an, sondern auf den Umstand, daß man dem Personal geradezu wurschtegal und völlig nebensächlich ist, denn es geht dieser "Essensfabrik" einzig und alleine um Umsatz und Geld! c) die Preise: alle Speisen und Getränke total ÜBERTEUERT! Fazit: von einem Besuch dieser Restaurants (= auch desjenigen in Trudering) ist ernsthaft abzuraten! Für uns war es definitiv das und der letzte! Kalinichta!

Deeply disappointed We ordered a double teller and a pork teller. Flavor was fine, ambiance was good but what was truly disappointing was the 48euro wine we got when we ordered the .5l 16euro wine. When we got the bill we saw the wine had been billed for 48eur without it ever being mentioned or us having pointed it out from the menu. Clearly a sign of inflation in Germany where people take you for a ride to make money.

On May 4, 2024 we had our first communion in this restaurant, the food was great, the service was great, the guests were delighted and they still remember this wonderful place and the food. Thank you

Hier kann man überteuert durchschnittliches griechisches Essen genießen. Für Vegetarier wenig Auswahl. Salat mit Haloumi war nichts Besonderes und auch nicht frisch. Qualität das Geld nicht wert. Sitzen auf der Terrasse draußen sehr angenehm aber Service sehr unaufmerksam und nicht freundlich. Aus meiner Sicht hat das Restaurant deutlich nachgelassen im Vergleich zu vor ca 5 Jahren.

The food is really good, the atmosphere is fine. It's a matter of taste. However, I had to observe several no-gos, and that on just ONE visit: Ouzo on ice was ordered at the next table. This was simply poured out of the ouzos that had already been poured and which were on the counter and prepared as a welcome. According to the motto: alcohol disinfects. The steak was cut open at the table wearing a rubber glove with the palm of my hand and a knife. Yes, some TV chefs do that and it's supposed to be HIP. Nevertheless, you still have all the release agent from the disposable gloves on your food. Apart from the garbage. Sustainability is over again. A steak fork would have worked too and is even more elegant. A woman who apparently urgently needed to get out of the garden to the toilet and was already waiting for someone to ask about the toilet was fobbed off with the humorous comment that the toilet was a kilometer down the road. Only another waiter showed the desperate woman the toilet. I left the restaurant in a hurry when an acquaintance of the boss appeared in the dining room and loudly took up his space, not space, in the restaurant. Instead of moderating him a little, the boss immediately put on his friend's favorite music, who in turn hugged or high-fived the people, including my companion, who looked at him in horror because he was causing half the store to be stirred up with his loud manner. And all of this in a restaurant that is chic and charges significantly higher prices, which are only justified by the kitchen's really good cooking skills. Too bad. We're going somewhere else again. There are several alternatives in the area, simpler but also with very good food and better service.

Food overall ok. Ambience nothing really special...but ok, they're trying to do something with the location. NEGATIVE HIGHLIGHT - they actually charge €1 per glass of drinking water / even though 3 of us ate there (including starters and wine)...and then the waiter said - "we'll go bankrupt if everyone orders tap water here".. ...from my point of view a no-go - and then you hear such nonsense from the waiter.....Greed for profit and sales at any price.....SORRY dear team - but you won't see me in your establishment anymore ;)

Star deducted because the portion of my Paros plate was quite small. 3 calamari and a hand of gyros for €22.50. Despite the bread and salad, I wasn't really full. Another star deducted because the prices on the online menu are not current. Each dish costs on average 2 euros more than shown there. My food tasted very good and the service was friendly and quick.

The food was good. The portions were adequate in my opinion. We sat outside (on the street), which was fine in itself, but the store really has a wasp problem in that area. As soon as the drinks and later the food were on the table, we could no longer save ourselves from small animals. Unfortunately, when we spoke to the staff, they were unable to help us. We won't be coming back (at least in the summer).

We were extremely disappointed. Bifteki, a Greek classic, without sheep's cheese for 23.50 euros. Were there for the first time and the manager was very unfriendly. We were down one person and he made a non-favorable comment. The service also left something to be desired. A non-Greek Greek Attracted by the good reviews, four of us went to Thalassa today. The fact that we were moved from the original beautiful table because one person canceled, the table then remained empty and was finally occupied by a guest is strange, but it is not included in the rating. The food In terms of taste, all the dishes were okay, but the quantities were atypically small for the prices quoted. In Thalassa, a bifteki does not contain sheep's cheese, but is a simple minced steak, which every other Greek calls susuki. A query about this was answered with an annoyed look and the card being handed over. The fact that the menu published on the Internet no longer has anything to do with the current menu in terms of prices, which you only notice once you're there, fits with Thalassa's overall appearance. The only positive thing was the friendly farewell from the owner, but I can't buy anything from that either. The bad impression remains!

A lot needs to be improved so that we can order something there again. The prices online do not correspond to what you actually pay for the order on site. Each dish then costs an average of €3 more.

We had a table reservation and initially had a table outside, but had to move because the table next to us started smoking one by one. We didn't want to have to deal with the smell of smoke when our food was there. When we asked to sit somewhere else, the waiter (or possibly the owner) informed us that there was only one table left inside. Once inside, we were assigned a table directly behind the bar. We asked again if we could sit somewhere else, but the waiter/owner insisted that it was the only table available - even though all other tables throughout the interior of the restaurant were free and remained free throughout our stay. We had to endure the noise of the waiters and couldn't really converse as a family. Overall it was an absolute disaster. Overpriced and poor value for money. I had a chicken salad that was tiny, drowned in dressing and also tasted undergrown and dry (like it came out of a bag), but still cost EUR 19.60. My Aperol was totally (8.50 EUR), and the bottle of water cost 8 EUR. Overall, the waiters made an extremely unprofessional impression. In the end we paid 119 EUR. After many debacles, my husband didn't leave a tip, whereupon the waiter angrily threw the debit receipt at him - an absolute disgrace! Our conclusion: We regret every single euro we spent at Thalassa.

Exactly 5 years ago the Thalassa had already been rated - 5 full stars. This evening we had dinner here again to visit my parents and were bitterly disappointed. After a short time, the table next door started smoking continuously. Enjoying the drinks or food was completely out of the question. So asked for a place at the window inside. We had almost sat down at the table when we were directed to a table in the middle of the aisle right next to the loud bar. From then on we were allowed to look at the two empty window tables for 1.5 hours. The neighboring table was the first to be served Ouso, but we had nothing. We thought it would just come to an end. None. The prices have been raised extremely, gyros with Metaxa 21.50 euros, bottle of mineral water 8 euros. We had 4 main courses, none of which came close to justifying these prices in terms of quantity, quality or taste. We were extremely disappointed. Overall, an absolutely disappointing evening in what was now one of our favorite restaurants.

Reservé una mesa para una cena temprano con mi esposa e hijo adolescente después de tener una buena impresión de los comentarios de TripAdvisor. ¡Qué lugar fantástico! Recibidos con una bebida de cortesía, elegimos tres platos principales diferentes, cada uno de los cuales era excelente. Los postres eran, en todo caso, aún más deliciosos - no hay mucha elección, pero eso apenas importa cuando cada uno era de una calidad tan excepcional. Combinado con el servicio genuinamente amable y atento, acordamos que este era uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que hemos comido!

In my opinion one of the best restaurants in the city. The quality of the food is always top, the service and the manager give the restaurant a very familiar atmosphere. My fiancée and I will definitely eat at Thalassa Sendling regularly.

We, 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 10 years old) spontaneously went to Thalassa for dinner! The food was very, very tasty and the absolute highlight was the friendliness and service of the entire team! The wishes of our two daughters were immediately addressed! I don't know when the last time I or we as a family experienced such warmth in a restaurant! Many thanks to the entire team for a wonderful evening!

Welcome ok - but not very friendly. Ordered starter and main course. Starter warm and very good, both in terms of taste and appearance. Unfortunately, the main course (paro plate) was only lukewarm. Portion size was already more. We'll be back, even if we weren't entirely convinced.

Parkplatzsuche war sehr schwierig. Gyros (es stand übrigens kein Mussaka auf der Karte) soweit ok, aber nicht herausragend oder speziell gewürzt. Service war in Ordnung. Neben uns war gleich ein Tisch für 2 Personen, von deren Gespräch man alles problemlos mithören konnte. Nur eine kleine ca 40cm hohe Trennwand war dazwischen. Insgesamt war es doch sehr laut.

We were at a birthday party in a large group. The evening was great at Thalassa. The service was very attentive and friendly. We never had to wait long for drinks. We were really looked after very well. I had the beef fillet which was really top notch. Totally exceeded my expectations :) Thank you dear Thalassa team ❤️

The Thalassa was a very good location for me until quite some time ago. Usually the service was very friendly and there was at least one ouzo on the house to start with. Unfortunately, reservations via email are worthless. On site you will be told that they occupy two tables and that the email reservations are processed by someone who is not interested in this double occupancy. A reservation from 8 p.m. is valid until the end. That fits . Since I always ate the same thing there, I could see how the portion size had become smaller. Very salty. My friend asked for a mixed appetizer platter and she was told, "You choose, I'll bring that?" That's not how I imagine service. Overall, the food arrived so-so, but we weren't asked if it was good. No ouzo on the house if the bill is over €400. To be honest, it seems as if you are no longer as welcome at Thalassa as you were at the beginning. At the beginning you said goodbye to the guests with a handshake, now there was only a farewell greeting from the bar. All in all, we can take our money somewhere else. Sorry, that was nothing

We actually wanted to order a cold/warm starter plate for four people... it's no longer available at Thalassa. OK. We'll skip the starter part and go straight to the main course. Oh well - there is no day ticket at Thalassa either. And neither is something truly Greek like Kleftiko or Spetzofai, which is a shame. All right, then a gyro please. And for €16.50 that must be a decent portion - or so I thought. What actually came was a sad amuse-gueule of gyros - without any fresh onion rings and also without any roasted flavors. Do you cook the pork in a water bath? So a grilled dish like this should have at least a little bit of grilled flavor. I didn't really get full from the plate... 🤷🏼‍♂️ Overall, not worth repeating, it's a shame

Eine Geburtstagsfeier am Freitagabend mit 18 Personen, alle Erwachsene, um 18:00 Uhr. Die Reservierung erfolgte 3 Wochen im Voraus. Der Besitzer rief das Geburtstagskind am selben Tag an, an dem wir dort sein wollten, und bat ihn, die Ankunftszeit auf 20.00 Uhr zu ändern. Das Geburtstagskind erklärte, dass er in letzter Minute nicht 17 Personen erreichen könne. Dann rief der Besitzer erneut an und bat ihn, die Ankunftszeit auf 21:30 Uhr zu ändern. Aber das war immer noch nicht machbar. Wir waren alle um 18:00 Uhr da. Wir saßen extrem eng. Der Raum war stickig und sehr voll, alle Tische waren besetzt, vor allem der arme Tisch für 4 Personen neben uns, den wir jedes Mal trafen, wenn wir von unseren Sitzbänken aufstehen mussten. Dann noch schlimmer: Zwei unserer Gäste gingen nach Hause und der Besitzer forderte uns sofort auf, uns enger zusammenzudrängen, damit er den Beistelltisch von unserer Reihe trennen und ein wartendes Paar hineinzwängen konnte. Es wäre dann für uns ALLE, unsere Gruppe oder die Menschen in unserer Nähe unmöglich gewesen, von den hinteren Bänken aufzustehen. Wir beschwerten uns und er ließ den Tisch unbedeckt und ungedeckt in der Mitte des Ganges stehen. Das Essen war in Ordnung (es gibt auch andere Restaurants, die genauso gut sind), aber keiner von uns würde dieses Restaurant noch einmal besuchen, selbst an einem weniger anstrengenden Tag. Sorry, but no.

The furnishings and ambience create a perfect setting for an enjoyable break from everyday life. Overall, our visit to the Thalassa Restaurant was an experience that we will not soon forget. The combination of excellent food, first class service and a wonderful ambience makes Thalassa a place we would recommend to anyone looking for a special dining experience. It tastes good and the portion is huge!

Unfortunately I am disappointed. A few years ago I was a frequent guest and was always thrilled. After all these years there has been a noticeable decline in quality. The three of us were seated at a table for two, which was really too tight. The garlic bread was okay, the goat cheese as a starter was great! Unfortunately, there was a long hair in one of the salads, which really ruined my appetite. Well, we're all human, it can happen. The main course was edible so far, but the quality of the meat has deteriorated compared to previous years. The best part of the evening was the Galaktoburiko. The dessert was really quite convincing. Unfortunately only three stars because of the food, and the service still needs to be worked on. It started with very attentiveness and ended with no attention being paid at all. For almost 130 euros I expect more!

Almost a noble Greek: interior with leather-covered seats, white-covered tables and soft lounge music in the background. Lots of younger guests, including some chic kids. The culinary strength of “Thalassa” lies in its fish dishes. Particularly noteworthy are the calamari with spinach and feta filling. This time my wife and I ordered the Paros plate: gyros and small calamari with creamy tzatziki, seasoned tomato rice and a small salad. Everything came to the table quickly and tasted very good. The same applied to the house wine Rosé with its slightly strawberry-like scent. However, the quality affects the prices. They are rather upscale for Sendling. I would definitely recommend making a table reservation on public holidays.

The food is delicious, the portions are very generous and the Ouzo shot as a welcome treat is simply amazing 🤩 We had two main dishes, an appetizer, bread drinks and one dessert to share for circa 60€

A top and authentic Greek restaurant with good price/performance ratio. What should be highlighted is the always extremely friendly and courteous staff, there is something delicious for everyone on the menu and the quality of the food is consistently at a very good and high level. You just really enjoy coming here and spending a pleasant and cozy evening. Can only be warmly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sehr schönes Ambiente, obwohl musikalisch zu laut. Service bei der Erstbestellung schnell und dann leider nicht mehr. Wir hätten gerne mehr konsumiert. Essen geschmacklich ok. Schnecke im Salat, leider auch keine Reaktion darauf. Anscheinend werden hier nur Stammgäste beachtet.

Vaios und sein Team bestes griechisches Restaurant in München !

Wir waren hier zum ersten Mal essen . Das Restaurant ist gehoben und nicht , wie man sich beim Griechen gewohnt hat mit großen leckeren Portionen. Wir fragten nach einer Vorspeisen Teller für 3 Personen und sie servierten eine gemischte Vorspeise Plate mit drei verschiedenen Soßen , paar gegrillte Zucchini und Paprika, wie im Bild zu sehen ist . Der Preis dafür 59€ , das sehe ich leider nicht ein , für das , was auf dem Tisch serviert wurde. Essen war auf den Tellern schön eingerichtet , aber von Geschmack waren wir alle nicht sehr begeistert. Dir Bedienung war unprofessional und konnte leider kein deutsch . Für ein gehobenes Restaurant dieser Art , erwarte ich und meine Begleitende Personen natürlich mehr .

Wir waren nach vielen Jahren heute wieder zu Gast. Leider fehlt in allen Aspekten die Liebe zum Detail - egal ob beim Essen oder der Bedienung. Wir wurden von mindestens 4 verschiedenen Personen bedient und es wirkte sehr hektisch. Gegen Ende unseres Besuch wurde die Musik sehr laut gestellt, was uns dazu bewegte zu gehen. Schade…

Top griechisches Restaurant, Essen und Getränke waren sehr lecker, Service war professionell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Schöne gemischte Musik wie Hip-Hop, R&B und etwas Griechisch im Hintergrund zu hören. Wir empfehlen, leichte Kleidung anzuziehen, da im Restaurant irgendwie zu heiß ist. Es hat super gepasst und wir werden wiederkommen.

super Restaurant, waren an Silvester dort das Menü hat sehr gut Geschmeckt auch der Wein fantastisch. Preis Leistung hervorragend. ich komme sehr gerne wieder Danke :)
