Poseidon in München

Generally good, solid food at a reasonable price. The souvlaki was unfortunately extremely dry, but the seafood salad was really good. What I've never experienced before: the main course was brought to our table in the middle of our appetizer (and to other tables as well); you're not on the run, after all. During the meal, the appetizer plates weren't cleared away; they were piled up. Good service doesn't work. It was a temptation to try something new, but we'll stick with our regular Greek restaurant, which costs a few euros more. 🤷

I had dinner here today, and the staff were kind and friendly. I was very pleased and impressed when they served ouzo and watermelon 🍉 after the meal. They offer a lunch menu, and I was happy that they've offered dessert there before. The wide variety of menu options is also not to be missed. When I entered, the reservation phone was ringing nonstop, indicating this is a popular restaurant. I think the prices are reasonable, unlike other restaurants. Of course, the food is delicious!!! They also have terrace seating, and on sunny days it's full. The interior is beautiful, with a bright Greek atmosphere and subdued decor. I would definitely return with friends and family. This time, the menu was different and the portions were smaller. However, I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

What can I say: We're on a short trip to Munich and were craving Greek food this evening, so we spontaneously went to Poseidon. We received a warm welcome and were seated quickly on a Friday evening. Our order was taken quickly, and the food arrived at our table quickly. The portions are very generous and truly delicious. Along with an ouzo, we received a bread bowl, two espressos, and watermelon slices on the house. The staff was truly exceptionally friendly. If we lived here, we would definitely be regulars from now on. We highly recommend this restaurant!

We used to enjoy this place, but yesterday's food wasn't good. The fries were lukewarm and sometimes undercooked, the meat tasted only of spices, and the espresso was lukewarm. The watermelon at the end, however, was a very nice finish. The women's restrooms were dirty.

I haven't eaten such good Greek food in a long time. Add to that the beautiful beer garden and the friendly, attentive staff with their infectiously good mood. We stayed here for a long time after our meal, sampling the excellent cocktail selection on site. The Poseidon is highly recommended; we'd be happy to return.

After arriving in Munich after 10:30 PM thanks to Deutsche Bahn, I was desperate for something tasty at that time of night. The fact that the kitchen was still open, the service so friendly and fast, and even included a cold glass of water, made me more than happy. The food is truly delicious, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. 10/10 I'm glad I finally ate here.

Arriving in Munich in the late afternoon, we didn't have time to look for restaurants that were too far away. We stumbled upon this one, read the reviews, and went for it. Well, what can I say? Excellent cuisine and truly generous portions. The staff was exquisite! If they realize you're Italian, they'll try to speak to you in Italian, with a friendliness I've found in very few places. If we ever return to Munich, we'll definitely be back!

Arrive Munich on Sunday around 22:00pm. It was not good timing to find a nice restaurant but the Poseidon appeared on my search. Had a grilled calamari cause I had meat last night and today’s lunch as well. Either grilled or flied, I was thinking of but finally went the grilled one. Feel my choice was right! The calamari has been served just after grilled, well cooked and tasted. Only the point I would like to more is they served Spaten(Helles beer) even I love the Augustina the most;)

One of the best Greek restaurants in Munich, with a better experience every time. We had a great warm appetizer plate and grilled fish platter, simply fantastic. I highly recommend Poseidon.

First time here. I'm a fan of Greek cuisine. My expectations were more than met. Great taste, quantity, and appearance. A fair price. And despite the rush, the staff were completely friendly.

We really enjoy going here. The food is good, the outdoor atmosphere is great on warm summer days, and the service is always friendly. Points deducted: €5.00 for a portion of tzatziki is simply too expensive. It's more expensive than a small mixed salad.

A really nice Greek restaurant with a secluded garden. The family who run it are very attentive and make you feel like their guests. We had ouzo to start with. The menu is very extensive and caters to all tastes. I was very pleased with the large selection of fish dishes. The cold appetizer platter was easily enough for two people with a moderate appetite, but we were still able to eat more afterward. The main courses were plentiful and very filling. Finally, we were offered another ouzo on the house, which we swapped for a plate of fresh watermelon because of our accompanying drinks. All in all... a very nice evening, almost with a Greek holiday feeling in Obergiesing. We'll be back☺️

Unfortunately, the food there has deteriorated significantly! The gyros are completely dried out... Due to the language barrier, the staff doesn't understand detailed questions about allergens or is unsure. The atmosphere is very inviting, both in the small beer garden and inside. We were guests from North Rhine-Westphalia and this restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. It's a typical Greek with a rich menu at realistic prices. The seafood salad was very tasty and the lamb shank and the Paros plate also tasted excellent. The service is attentive but not intrusive. We rarely got an ouzo before and after our meal and a small free dessert from other Greeks. If we happen to be in the area again, we'd be happy to come back.

Before Corona you were a Greek restaurant with decent food, large portions at reasonable prices. Nowadays, only the portions are large, the food is mediocre and the prices are high - too expensive for Giesing in the quality offered. For your information: so far I have been there at least 15 times or more per year for lunch or evening since 2017. Food: Gyros used to be served to the table properly grilled, crispy and seasoned. The last two times it came pale, unseasoned and almost cold. Souvlaki wasn't finished recently. The fried calamari no longer tastes good and has a different shape. I suspect that the manufacturer of this frozen product has changed. The small potatoes ordered as a side dish were sometimes well seasoned - ultimately tasteless and brutally oily. The preparation of the butter rice has been changed. It was always seasoned with herbs and consisted of a large-grain type of rice. Now a different variety and completely unseasoned, no more butter. The Delphi plate used to have gyros and a fillet pork skewer. Now this fillet has been replaced by normal pork like in souvlaki (although the price has been increased several times). The always good moussaka had a bland taste and was still cold inside (since it was frozen). Prices: these have been raised several times in recent years and are now at a level that is too high considering the quality described. Souvlaki 17 euros, bifteki even more, most mixed plates at almost 20 euros and above. Half a white beer is 5 euros, the very moderate open house white wine (which is occasionally served far too warm) at an incomprehensible 13 euros, half a liter of wine spritzer 10 euros. Attention: the prices on the homepage often do not match the menu in the restaurant. Only the staff is still friendly and numerous. Card payment is theoretically possible, but in practice the card reader often doesn't work.

A place to feel good! The Poseidon on Säbener Straße immediately impressed me with its warm ambience and relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine in a cozy environment, this is the place for you. The restaurant exudes a pleasant calm, almost like a short vacation in Greece. The dishes are lovingly prepared, rich and full of taste. The service is attentive, unobtrusive and incredibly friendly. Hospitality is still alive here. A real feel-good restaurant that you would like to make your regular local.

Yes, we were forgotten... the food came and didn't come, but when we asked, everything went very quickly and the food was served quickly. The service apologized several times and there was a round of ouzo on the house, which always gets me ;-) The food itself was delicious, we have rarely had such a crispy gyro. The Suvlaki was also well fried. The atmosphere in the Poseidons in Munich is actually always right. The prices... have risen noticeably in the Poseidons, including here. But at least there is a small dessert to go with the bill.

Ayer, alrededor de las 3 PM, mi novio y yo fuimos al restaurante a tomar un chocolate caliente. Hacía frío afuera, el restaurante no estaba ocupado, echamos un vistazo al menú, pero ya sabíamos que solo queríamos un chocolate caliente. Lo que sucedió después fue una de las peores muestras de grosería y arrogancia que hemos experimentado. El hombre que nos atendió, afirmando ser el dueño del restaurante, respondió a nuestro pedido con una actitud condescendiente y grosera: ❌ “Esto no es un café. Si quieres un chocolate caliente, ve a otro lugar.” ¿Desde cuándo un restaurante tiene que ser una cafetería para servir una bebida caliente de su propio menú? En cualquier establecimiento normal, un camarero diría: ✔️ “Por supuesto, te traeré el chocolate caliente y dejaré el menú por si cambias de opinión.” Pero no – en cambio, fuimos tratados con falta de respeto y arrogancia. Mi novio, sorprendido, preguntó: “Entonces, ¿el dinero de los clientes no es bienvenido aquí?” La respuesta del propietario fue aún peor: “Este es mi lugar.” El dueño de un restaurante dice abiertamente que los clientes no importan. Para demostrar que el dinero no era el problema, mi novio incluso se ofreció a pagar 30 € extra por el chocolate caliente, pero el hombre siguió siendo obstinado e irrespetuoso. En ese momento, nos dimos cuenta de que este lugar no valía ni un centavo, así que nos levantamos y nos fuimos por nuestra cuenta. Es increíble que un restaurante se gestione de esta manera, tratando a los clientes como si les estuvieran haciendo un favor dejándolos estar allí. Esto no es un restaurante, es un insulto a la hospitalidad y el sentido común. Si espera un buen servicio y respeto, NO vaya a Poseidón! We ended up there by chance while taking a walk and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Poseidon: very friendly service, cozy atmosphere and, above all, delicious food. Had a mix of different starters and salads, all of which were great. Easily within walking distance of the Motel One hotel we stayed at.

Ήρθα για πρώτη φορά στο Μόναχο και επισκέφτηκα αυτό το εστιατόριο. Έχω να πω ότι το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενέστατο αλλά η αλήθεια είναι ότι μας έφεραν μια σαλάτα χωριάτικη όπου βρήκα μέσα μια τρίχα . Ακόμη παρήγγειλα και σνίτσελ με πατάτες όπου όταν το έφαγα ένιωθα ενοχλήσεις στο στομάχι μου και μετά έκανα εμετό…. Θα σας συμβούλευα να μην επισκεφτείτε αυτό το εστιατόριο .
