Thai Food 2 is simply an institution in Nuremberg/Fürth/Erlangen! Always delicious and consistently high-quality food. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but it's worth it! You have to like the fast-food vibe, but it doesn't bother us; we know it's coming. 👍

Good portions. Not very friendly staff. Parking is rather difficult.

I went to this Thai wok again today, having always been very satisfied and enthusiastic about the delicious food. Now it seems there has been a change of ownership or staff. My favorite dish: crispy duck with red curry sauce, vegetables, and rice. My conclusion: I've never been served such over-salted food in my life; the duck was completely dried out, meaning it was never freshly prepared. When I complained, they simply diluted the sauce a bit, which didn't "improve" the taste at all. I wish the nice girls would go back behind the wok and serve delicious food like always. With the current staff (male chef), I certainly won't be returning to this restaurant. Today's meal wasn't just an outrage, it was assault.

I ordered chicken fried rice from you yesterday. While eating it, I immediately noticed a very strong shrimp flavor. It wasn't a problem, but it was still unpleasant, as I hate seafood. Please clean your woks properly between meals.

Unfortunately, the reception by the restaurant staff was very rude and cold. A more friendly approach to guests would have been desirable.

Of all the Thai Food 2 restaurants, this one is, in my opinion, the best. The portions are more than fair for the price, and the taste is also very good. I highly recommend the Pad Thai.

We ordered dishes no. 32 (squid) and no. 66 (crispy duck). Both were served with rice, even though this wasn't listed on the menu or mentioned when ordering. Unfortunately, the squid was tough and the duck was pretty tasteless. The rice was the only thing edible. I was overall disappointed—with both the food and the service.

Authentic Thai food with no frills. Order at the counter and the food is brought to you. In summer, you can sit outside quite nicely. The interior is quite cool and not particularly inviting. It's not a visual treat, but the taste is outstanding. We've been coming here for years – it's rare to find such quality for such a reasonable price. The portions of the main courses are generously sized, even for a big eater. Recommendations: duck dishes, salads (served with rice), and satay – delicious!

Very good food, the ambience could be improved.

Food came out quickly. We had the chicken green curry and pork prik mao curry. The food was flavoursome, decent portion size. Could have more curry flavour and umami. They did not ask for tip.

Up until now, the value for money was still OK. But recently, the prices have gone up again. I think charging €16 to €19 for a meal of this quality is a bit excessive. That was my last time there. There are plenty of others.

For €14 a salad that had collapsed, the chicken tasted like it had been reheated twice. I'm absolutely disappointed. Never again. Staff also unfriendly. Not even a hello.

Thai food at its worst: After a long absence, I went to Thai Food 2 again today. The simple atmosphere and the snack-like service have never bothered me there, I always eat from the menu and never the lunch menu. I ordered Pad Thai and a water, which is expensive for a snack at 17.50 euros. I was hungry and looking forward to my meal. The Pad Thai that was then served to me was a visual disappointment and unfortunately it didn't taste any better either. Tasteless tofu, fish sauce and tamarind sauce had apparently been forgotten, just dry, sticky noodles. I ordered without onions, but they alone don't add the flavor. I don't know anything about Thai Food 2 from the past. That's not how you win back customers, I definitely won't be coming back.

Very nice restaurant, I love eating here. The food is always freshly prepared and there is also an open counter where you can see all the ingredients. My personal favorite is V7 (Vegan). I actually think the atmosphere is really cool, it's spacious and has a lot of space!

The food has significantly deteriorated in terms of freshness and taste compared to before, and the smell of grease in the restaurant is enormous.

Be careful, you get the wrong things packed when you pick up food. We had ordered 2 vegetarian dishes and are now sitting at home with 2x chicken dishes. The lady even noticed that she had given the wrong bag to the customer in front of me... went out and tried to look for the customer, didn't find her and then pushed the bag into my hand and claimed that these were my vegetarian dishes. It's a shame, more honesty would be nice, because something like that can happen and it's human. But lying is not possible. (The chicken is not recommended)

I was there on Thursday. I liked the food very much, all 3 of what I ordered 1. Fried rice with squid and shrimp Very tasty, 2 pumpkin with curry and 3 vegetable pan very tasty tastes like in Thailand 🥰 I like going there very nice and very friendly staff ❤ keep it up the food is highly recommended.

I just picked up 2 meals, all my clothes smell of grease and there was a mist from the frying inside, ventilation was there but apparently broken or just decoration. My food was completely over salted and the sauce was basically soy sauce. There was also a whole clove of garlic buried in it, I don't know that but 99% of the time I go to Thai2 on Brettergartenstr. Smells are foreign to me in concentration and I haven't been able to detect whole garlic cloves in any food in 20 years. Food in the trash, stomach and wallet empty..Not my day..better go somewhere else if you want to go somewhere else afterwards

Eig waren wir immer sehr zufrieden aber das zweite mal sehr enttäuscht! Der Reis war trocken und das Fleisch zäh und auch geschmacklich leider ungenießbar!

In the Thai chicken curry that we ordered to take away there were only 3 tiny pieces of chicken, the rest was vegetables. We thought it was an oversight but the next order it was the same. There were also only 3 shrimp in the shrimp curry and the rest were just vegetables. When we pointed this out, they gave us more shrimp and charged extra. It's a shame, because otherwise the taste was very good. But it's not worth the price.

The ambience really isn't all that great inside, but the food more than makes up for it! The dumplings and the pasta dish (vegan) were amazing!

Authentic Thai food! You have to order your food at the counter and pay already, and they serve it to you at your table. The staff is friendly and helpful. The portions are quite big (no need for appetizers, but they are also good!). Overall good value for money. I been here already a few times over the last three years and they keep their standards on point. My favorite dish is 54. Nam Tok Nüa - sooo good!

Overall, Tahi Food 2 is a great choice if you prioritize delicious and authentic Thai food over fancy decor. It's a casual experience, perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch break. Plus, it's conveniently located close to Plärrer, where you can easily hop on a tram or U-Bahn to get there. Just be prepared for a potential wait during peak lunch hours – the food is absolutely worth it!

They cook very quickly, the portions are huge. Tom yam can be taken for two. We also took rice with pork and dessert. Everything is very tasty, I recommend it

The food here used to be really good. v16 a bit of vegetables and an egg on top, further down there are plain noodles soaked in oil. bland taste, oil tastes slightly rancid. the rest ended up in the trash

I ordered the vegetarian rice with vegetables and egg. It was very tasty and there was enough for €10. I am very satisfied. I can't rate the service because I only picked it up and paid for it, so there was 10 seconds of interaction. I can't judge the ambience either. Will order there again.

Real committed Thai women at the wok. Locally simple with a bit of aroma. Had duck dish... duck meaty but overall a little tough 3-4/5. Curry sauce and vegetables, pleasantly spicy 4/5. Price-wise for a snack, rather alto.

I ate here for lunch today. Everything was fine 🙏🏻. That's why I decided to order here again in the evening. I drove a few extra km and they kicked me out 😂. Although the program is until 9:30 p.m. and it doesn't say that the kitchen is closed at 9 p.m.... you stand there stupidly in front of the customer and get kicked out... even though you have good food. I won't visit you anymore!

There is only an extra point for the food. Unfortunately the rest is an absolute disaster. Sat there and ordered food, a full 45 minutes later our spring rolls arrived. When these were eaten, we waited another 45 minutes for our main course. When we ran out of time for the next appointment, I asked the staff at the counter to please pack up our main course. After another 30 minutes, the time had come. Since I had a lot of time, I was able to count how many dishes went out and what was distributed inside. 36 dishes outside the house to 3 starters in the house in 45 minutes. Absolute impudence to make everyone wait when the store was full and instead sell everything to go. You should consider closing the seating area and only offering delivery/collection. Would be less offensive to people who spend hours there to get something to bite. 1km from there is IKEA, you can get a hot dog package for €20 and eat that instead.

Good food, very unfriendly staff Pros: The food was delicious and the portion was generous. The lunch menu was okay for the price. Minuses: The restaurant doesn't seem to have an extractor hood. Our clothes will probably smell like a deep fryer for a few days. The oxygen level in the restaurant is approaching zero. The waitress at the checkout was extremely unfriendly and didn't seem to care about guests. She managed to snap at us 3-4 times within a few seconds that we almost wanted to leave. She slapped the food onto the plate so that the sauce splattered. This is almost experience gastronomy.

This fast food restaurant meets expectations exactly. The food tastes excellent and authentic is delivered to the table very quickly. The service isn't great and it's more of a fast food restaurant, but that's clear. That's why I can't understand the previous reviews - the food is prepared in front of you in the dining room and the furniture is functional. That's why it doesn't smell like roses here, but rather like the 40 dishes per hour that pass over the counter. But everything is clean (except for the ventilation pipes on the ceiling) and there are currently very few other shops where you can quickly get authentic and fresh Asian food. The prices are the usual prices but the portions are absolutely sufficient and large. Have fun trying

Jan 2024: Was there again today, unfortunately once again the chicken is very tough or rubbery and smells very much like meat (old meat)...what a shame! Recession 2 years ago: I've been a regular customer at this restaurant since the beginning, unfortunately I noticed in the last three orders - I have to say I always order the same thing - that the quality has deteriorated significantly. Glass noodles are now very soggy, floury and sticky and the same goes for the rice dish (risotto), too bad. I miss the old times !!!!! maybe the quality will come back....I'll keep trying!

Gewaltsame Mimik gegenüber dem südländischen Kunden (mir) und wenn sie das Essen serviert stellt sie es nur vor meinem europäischen Kumpel und sagt nur ihm "guten Appetit"! Das ist das narzisstische Rassismus!

Lässt leider ganz schön nach in Puncto Freundlichkeit und auch bei den Gerichten. Die Suppe hatte kürzlich kaum Beilage und zuletzt hatte ich die „V16 - Gebratene Reisbandnudeln mit Ei und Gemüse und Sojasauce“ und bis auf zwei kleine Paprika Stückchen war von dem Gemüse nichts zu sehen. Schade, wenn das ganze Gericht dann für stolze 9€ aus so wenigen Komponenten besteht. Mein Mann hatte bei seiner gebratenen Ente Brokkoli, Zucchini, Paprika,… mit dabei. Wenn Thai Food II dann nur noch in die für uns weiter gelegene Eibach Filiale, da gibt man sich noch Mühe.

Gut, aber oft zu scharf, ohne wirkliche Alternativen. Von allen, die es sehr scharf lieben, habe ich nur Gutes über diese kleine „Restaurantkette“ gehört! Daher 4 Sterne!

Früher war es wirklich gut, jetzt kann ich es leider gar nicht empfehlen. Die Gerichte sind alle 3 bis 4 Euro teurer geworden, geschmacklich hat es sich aber in die anderer Richtung entwickelt. Es riecht sehr unangenehm nach Bratfett und die ältere Dame die an der Kasse arbeitet ist alles andere als freundlich. Sehr schade!

Overpriced self service Cafe. Food was more Chinese than authentic Thai

Ich komme schon seit Jahren hier her. Alles ist teuerer geworden. Der Salat war immer sehr gut..aber die Salate sind nicht mehr gut...Seit Jahren war das Männerclo teils defekt...seit Wochen ist die Toilette komplett gesperrt. Diese Zustände sind unhaltbar und man muss das Ordnungsamt einschalten. Die verdienen genug Geld. Die Portionen sind kleiner aber teuerer geworden

Das beste am Essen war, dass es warm war. Freundlich aber mein Geschmack ist es nicht. Ich war hier enttäuscht und hatte mehr erwartet. Größen der Portionen sehr ausreichend.

Sehr netter kleiner Laden mit ausgezeichnetem authentischen Essen. 12,50 für ein Gericht mit Garnelen, frischem Gemüse und in der Menge ist fast zu günstig! Die Wan Tan ebenfalls reichlich und sehr lecker. Ebenfalls sehr freundliche Bedienung und endlich mal ein Thai der sich meistens traut Thai scharf zu würzen.

Seit Jahren Stammkunde, wirklich sehr lecker. Manchmal waren Nudeln oder so überkocht, deshalb nicht die vollen 5 Sterne. Aber 9/10 mal immer sehr zufrieden!

Sehr schnell, zur Mittagszeit. Gute Auswahl und alles auch zum mitnehmen. Auch Sitzplätze im freien. Bestellen, bezahlen, essen. Wenn spezielle Gerichte ein wenig länger dauern wird es an den Tisch gebracht. Trotzt Stress immer freundlich.

Die Nr.38 ist köstlich, besonders wenn man Garnelen liebt :) Nette Belegschaft! Schnell und zuverlässig nach einem Anruf liegt alles bereit zur Abholung oder auch ums dort zu verspeisen!

Gutes Essen und kurze Wartezeiten

Wir gehen immer mal wieder in eines der Thai Food 2 Restaurants. Es gibt ja insgesamt 4, glaube ich. Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet. Gleichbleibend guter Geschmack! Bestellt wird an der Theke. Preise sind ok. Hauptproblem ist die Lüftung. Nach dem Besuch im Restaurant riecht man 3 Meilen gegen den Wind nach Thaifood.

Ich kann es nur empfehlen ich gehe nur dahin die Portionen sind schon groß und essen sehr lecker 🤤

This is a go to on a weekly basis for us. The food is delicious and authentic with fast service. The 1 star to make a 5 is due to the card machine which has been out of service for over a month so you have make sure you keep cash on hand.

Good spot to come for some Thai food if you are in the area. The food was good and service good as well. The place itself is very “no fuss” with your standard seating areas and minimal decor. The price vs quality of food is ok but probably a bit more on the expensive side for what you get. Would come here again if craving some Thai food. Recommend if you are in the area.

Freundliches Personal und leckere Speisen immer wieder gerne

Eines der besten Restaurants in Nürnberg. Das Essen wird immer frisch zubereitet, wir kommen seit Jahren sehr gerne her.

Wir waren seit längerem mal wieder im Thai Food, hier im Gostenhof und haben lecker gegessen. Wir hatten einmal den gebratenen Reis mit Tintenfisch, Garnelen, Bohnen, Brokoli, Paprika und grünem Curry, sowie das Alternativgericht statt Reis mit gebratenen Reisnudeln und statt grünem Curry mit rotem Curry. Beide Gerichte sehr schmackhaft und lecker. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente vergleichsweise spartanisch. Das Preisleistungs-Verhältnis ist "ok". Empfehlung.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind groß und machen satt. Die Location ist leider nicht die schönste. Allerdings ist das Essen recht schnell fertig, man kann es also auch einfach zum mitnehmen bestellen. Im Sommer kann man auch aussen sitzen.

Dieses Restaurant ist das kleinste der 4 Restaurants. Allerdings schmeckt es genau so gut wie überall anders. Lohnenswert!

Bestes Thai Food weit und breit zum besten Preis. Wir sind schon seid über 2 Jahren Stammkunden und kommen immer sehr gerne hier zum Essen, ist unser (fast) wöchentliches Highlight. Wer authentisches und original scharfes Thai Essen mag ist hier absolut richtig. Danke das es euch gibt.

Vielleicht nicht ganz so gut wie das Thai Food I in Nürnberg, aber dennoch ganz vorne mit dabei! Das Ambiente ist nicht der Rede wert, deswegen geht man hier sicher nicht hin. Essen aber sehr, sehr lecker. Und scharf ist hier auch scharf, nicht so wie oft in anderen Thai-Restaurants.

Hier gibt es in der Woche immer fertige Mittagsgerichte zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. So günstig kann man zu Hause selbst nicht kochen!

Mitarbeiter oft etwas unfreundlich und sprachlich unerfahren, somit bei Extrawünschen oder Fragen oft mal Kommunikationsprobleme. Speisen oft gut, oft aber auch nur befriedigend. Service ist keiner vorhanden bzw. erinnert an Kantinenservice. Daher das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ok. Und der Dunstabzug in der offenen Küche macht lärm und ist hoffnungslos überfordert - bedeutet 2 Minuten im Laden und man nimmt den asiatischen Duft an.

Grandioses Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, tolles Essen, freundliche Menschen. Super Mittagsangebot. Einfach perfekt.

Ordered the Neua nam tok and it was amazeballs! It is as thai as it gets and the owner is from Isan! Extremely cool place and it is so real spicy and authentic! Would go back as a regular since we love the foods here!

Thai Food 2, das ist mittlerweile eine Institution im Gostenhof. Preisgünstiges Thaiessen, sehr solide und gut gemacht Wir hatten Gai Phat Wunsan (Huhn mit Glasnudeln, Gemüse und Ei) und Gäng Kua Moo (Schweinefleisch mit rotem Curry, Kokosmilch und Kartoffeln). Beides echt lecker und mit 8,-€ je Portion auch mit einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Empfehlung.
