Thai Food 1 impresses across the board with its excellent food - a full 5 stars for the authentic and excellently tasted dishes! The atmosphere is typical of Thai restaurants: simple but cozy and inviting. A small deduction in terms of service, as you have to place your order at the counter and are not served directly at the table - there are 4 stars here. Nevertheless, the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes the overall stay pleasant. A small disadvantage is the parking options. There are only a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant and a few on the side streets, but these are often legitimately occupied by residents. You should be patient here or plan a short walk if necessary. But no deduction for this. Overall, Thai Food 1 is highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Thai food!

So, as we wrote years ago, for us this is still the best Thai! Even if the ambience is no longer entirely contemporary, it's not a restaurant either! But the food alone makes it worth the visit!

Probably the best place to order authentic Thai food. They can be overwhelmed with orders sometimes, so you might wait longer than expected. But to me the waiting time has always been worth it. Extra points for offering duck without the crispy part. Also, if you wanna eat proper spicy stuff (not like touristic version), you’ll get it here.

If you want to eat typical Thai food, you've come to the right place! It's more like a snack bar. The food is super delicious 😋 no matter what is on the table, it tastes like in Thailand!

Super tasty and authentic, the style of the restaurant is also reminiscent of street food in Thailand. Very nice service, the food comes quickly, although many people also pick something up and everything is freshly prepared in a mini kitchen. My favorite dish: vegetarian green curry

Classic case of: what used to be an “insider tip” in the area, but is now generally completely overcrowded. Without a reservation you don't really need to go and even then you should bring enough time. You often notice how “first-time visitors” who have obviously come to the store are upset because everything takes so long… Authentic cuisine that you don't often find in Nuremberg. I haven't noticed any compromises in quality, but the prices are a little higher and the quantity is a little lower. Overall, it's still “cheap” and guarantees a lovely evening - something you should take your time for.

Good and cheap food, rice should have been served separately

Good food, but it's a small restaurant and finding a place is not easy at rush hour. Food can take a while at peak times.

I already ate there when the shop opened. It was awesome back then. After years of break, I ordered two portions to take away around 5 p.m. But at first I was ignored for well over 5 minutes, no greeting, no question about what I would like to eat...then I had to wait another half hour for the food. At home I was disillusioned: portion was much too small for this price, no lettuce leaf or cucumber, even though Lab Gai... I ordered one portion extra spicy, but both were equally lightly seasoned... bland but otherwise ok. The store seems to be extremely busy, the staff and the size of the kitchen are totally overwhelmed... and the take-away portion, as I said, is a joke for the price. I don't need it again... for the money I paid I'd rather cook myself and be able to feed half a company.

Unfortunately, our visit was anything but satisfactory. After 70 minutes the starter arrived, followed by the main course 15 minutes later. The duck had an unnatural blue cast to it, which looked very unappetizing. We also found a black hair in my partner's food - absolutely unhygienic. The dessert, sticky rice, was also disappointing: the rice was oversalted and partly hard, strongly indicating that it was not fresh. Overall the food and service was a disappointment - we won't eat here again.

Habe, wie sooft in der Vergangenheit, Essen für zuhause abgeholt. Beim öffnen meiner Portion Nuea Nam Tok war ich schockiert: Außer Reis fast nix drin, ein paar Streifen Rindfleisch mit Sauce. Da das Fleisch zäh und hart und die Sauce zudem nicht schmackhaft war, habe ich letztlich die Mickerportion nicht einmal als Nachteil empfunden, im Gegenteil ich war froh nicht eine größere Portion geniessen zu müssen. Auch die anderen Gericht haben deutlich nachgelassen, so wie unsere Besuchsfrequenz: Seither nicht mehr!

The only true Thai in Nuremberg. Absolutely authentic Thai wok cuisine in one of the most iconic Thai restaurants in the city. The team is super warm and nice and serve with their own charm, always freshly prepared food. The prices are absolutely reasonable, especially considering the freshness and size of the portions. The mango sticky rice is particularly recommended. The entire menu is huge and there is something for everyone, including vegetarian and fish curries. Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't particularly cozy, so it's more for a quick lunch or dinner. You should be a little careful about what you wear, because thanks to the mediocre extractor hood, you will often end up smelling like the food you previously ate thanks to the mediocre extractor hood. But trust me, the food is totally worth it.

Undefeated - even after years, still one of the very best (if not the best) place to go for authentic Thai (street) food. There's always something going on, the food is simply fantastic, everyone who works and cooks there is incredibly friendly. In summer you have the opportunity to eat casually on a beer bench/beer table in front of the shop and watch the hustle and bustle on Bucher Str. My perfect place in the hood. 😍

Good family run restaurant with only 4 stoves. They are super popular both dine in and phone order. The food is good, a pity that I couldn't try the Tom Yum soup, they should really consider adding a smaller size of the soup to the menu. To Asian people that would be the perfect drinks. Have to mention that they forgot my order and I found out that after waiting for more than 1 hour. Luckily I was not in a hurry. The price is very economical.

Ordered take-out for two. The order was ready for pick-up in 20mins and the food tasted well (one of the 2 meals [#8] was missing the expected "Basilikum" though). It is also an inconvenience to be only able to pay cash these days - no other payment methods are accepted here.

Interesting Thai fast food. The atmosphere is as close as possible to a small street cafe with fast food. The menu is ordinary and without pictures, with a wide selection of dishes. The order was prepared quickly. The food is very tasty and interesting. Those who do not like spicy food should carefully choose dishes or warn the staff. The cafe is in demand, at peak times it is possible to wait longer for an order. It is possible to order food in advance.

We went on a short vacation to Thailand! Authentic food, small restaurant, around 30 seats well attended. Very good.

The food is good and does resemble what you'd find in Thailand. Although not as spicy. The restaurant owner is rude and unfriendly both towards customers and staff. I made the mistake of coming here with a friend who knows Thai language. Won't be coming here again.

For my wife and I the best Thai in Nuremberg and the region, the atmosphere is simply like that in most small restaurants in Thailand. Thaifood 1 was the first Thai restaurant in Nuremberg and has been confidently run by the boss ever since.

The best food you can imagine. I'm not necessarily a Thai food fan. However, I was taught better this week. During our lunch break we went to ThaiFood 1. From the outside this little restaurant doesn't exactly look like one you'd want to go in and inside the ambience is very simple and not modern. But when the food came I was perplexed. The taste is very, very tasty. The first bite left you wanting more. I have never eaten my fried rice with vegetables and egg with so much pleasure. The service was friendly, courteous and all requests were fulfilled quickly and easily.

The service and ambience could still be worked on, otherwise it's a really great restaurant with almost original Thai cuisine and super fair prices😉

Das Essen ist meistens ziemlich lecker, preislich ist das schon in Ordnung.

Thai Food 1 ist der beste Thai den ich in Deutschland kenne. Ich esse oft Thailändisch überall in Deutschland dazu wähle ich immer die bestbewertesten Thai Restaurants oder Imbisse aus, aber es gab noch keines das ansatzweise vergleichbar wäre. Einzige Ausnahme sind Thai Food 2 in Nürnberg und Erlangen die ebenfalls (fast) genau so gut sind. Einziger Nachteil, teilweise lange Wartezeit es geht halt der Reihe nach.

Guter und preisbewusste Thailänder. Essen ist gut, som tam ist zu empfehlen. Service ist freundlich und locker jedoch nicht mit einem normalen Restaurant zu vergleichen, da es einfach ein anderer Stil ist. Man spürt hier noch die thailändische Kultur, was ich gut finde.

Gutes thai essen. Aber man darf den Fehler nicht machen in seiner Mittagspause zu kommen, ich habe über 30 Minuten auf mein Essen gewartet- meine Mittagspause war somit rum!! - auch keine Entschuldigung oder zumindest ein Update!!!

Bestes Thai-Restaurant in zentraler Lage unterhalb der Burg zu moderaten Preisen.. gehe da seit Eröffnung hin und seit ich weggezogen bin, immer wenn ich in Nbg. bin. Auf dem Foto Panaeng Gai, sehr zu empfehlen das Pad Grapao (Gai/Huhn) habe ich so original in D bisher noch nie gegessen und auch in Thailand nicht überall.

Die Bedienung und das Essen sind hervorragend, leider liegt es direkt an der Hauptstraße. Es sind Bierzelt Tisch und Bank außen, innen kann man auch sitzen. Aber sehr einfach ausgestattet, aber essen hat mich bis jetzt immer überzeugt

Sehr gute original Thai Küche. Komme seit Jahren immer wieder sehr gerne hierher und vor allem sehr authentisch.

We made reservations and glad we did. When you walk in, every table has a sign for the time and party size for future diners. We got fried rice with chicken and pineapple. It was a large portion to share. Also got ma ma suppe. There were 5 soup choices, 2 of which contained coconut milk and the other two spicy. So we were left with ma ma soup which contained noodles. I had overlooked that part and when it came out, it was basically a fancy version of instant ramen with vegetables. We have vegetarian restrictions in our party and they had a few dishes that were vegetarian friendly.

Esse immer Pad Thai und diesmal war es sehr kräftig versalzen. Kann passieren aber auf meinem Hinweis, mich auszulachen und sagen, dass ich keine Ahnung habe, ist kein Verhalten. Sehr unfreundlich. Ich komme nicht wieder!

Seit 10 Jahren kennen wir das Thai No 1 und waren vom Essen noch nie enttäuscht. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist etwas einfach, thai-hektisch, aber sympathisch. hatte keinen guten Besuch hier. Wartezeit von über 1 Stunde auf das Essen. bekam keine Speisekarte, musste altes Geschirr selbst entfernen, kam wieder und räumte den Tisch von den Vorgängern ab. Das Essen war gut genug, aber nach der langen Wartezeit hatten wir keine Lust mehr dort zu sein. Das Problem ist, dass sie sich NUR auf Take Away konzentrieren und keinen Service im Restaurant anbieten. komme nicht wieder😔

Authentisches Ambiente (thai spartanisch ^^) und nette Inhaber. Leckere Auswahl vieler Spezialitäten. Hier stimmt Preis /Leistung.

Sind auf Empfehlung dort hin gegangen und waren voller Erwartungen. Und unsere Erwartung wurden zu 100% erfüllt. Super frisch und super authentisch. Und ja, wenn da Thai-Scharf dran steht, dann meinen die das auch so :) Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Zuerst das wichtigste zu erst: das Essen in diesem Imbiss ist OK, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Mein Entenfleisch (lt Karte und Bestellung) hätte sonst was sein können, geschmacklich als Solches zu identifizieren war es nicht. Gemüse, Reis und Soßen waren gut. Die (nicht vorhandene) Freundlichkeit der drei Damen vom Grill allerdings war unterirdisch, die Art die Teller auf den Tisch zu klatschen schon fast eine Frechheit. Ich würde mir schon wünschen das wenigstens die Zahlen der Gerichte verstanden werden und nicht dreimal neu gebrüllt werden müssen bis die Botschaft ankommt. Loriot hätte seine Freude bei den Szenen der Bestellungen gehabt. Fast alles in diesem Imbiss können andere Asiatische Gastgeber (die diesen Namen dann auch verdienen) besser!

Hier darf man nicht hingehen, wenn man schon viel Hunger hat. Das Essen ist authentisch Thai. Wartezeiten von 60 min leider keine Seltenheit.

Leider eine ungute Entwicklung die das Restaurant genommen hat. Unfreundliche Bedienung, nur noch Dollarzeichen in den Augen, total versalzenes Essen, nachlässig „zusammengeschustert“. Das Ganze zu Preisen, die unter Berücksichtigung von Komfort und Ausstattung, durchaus nicht mehr niedrig sind. Die Abstimmung mit den Füssen wird es in Zukunft zeigen.

Stayed five nights in Nuremberg and went to this fab restaurant two of the nights, absolutely amazing, had both red curry and green curry plus my partner had cuttlefish and starter was spring rolls, beer serve yourself from the fridge, I’ve not had any better Thai food in Thailand on visits there, don’t hesitate go and see for yourself, no frills, no expensive meals, just tasty, plentiful, wholesome food
