Thai Food 2 in Nürnberg

Ein ordentliches Thai-Restaurant mit vielen vegetarischen Gerichten. Der Service könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Ich empfehle, das Essen mitzunehmen oder draußen zu essen, sonst muss man die Kleidung sofort waschen. Möglicherweise ist die Abluftanlage defekt oder funktioniert gar nicht.

Leider war dies mein letzter Besuch. Die Preise werden immer höher, während die Portionen von Mal zu Mal kleiner werden. Für einen Thai-Imbiss ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis mittlerweile einfach nicht mehr angemessen. Besonders enttäuschend ist der Umgang mit Stammkunden. Ich war regelmäßig dort und habe viel Geld dagelassen. Als ich mehrfach freundlich auf die immer kleiner werdenden Portionen hingewiesen habe, wurde ich weder ernst genommen noch höflich behandelt. Statt Wertschätzung erhält man Ignoranz und Unfreundlichkeit. Es gibt mittlerweile genügend andere Alternativen in der Umgebung, bei denen Stammkunden geschätzt werden und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Für mich ist das Kapitel hier beendet – ich werde diesen Imbiss nicht mehr besuchen und kann ihn aufgrund meiner Erfahrungen leider nicht empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Thai-Food mit frischen Zutaten und leckerem Geschmack. Ich hatte ein vegetarisches Gericht, das mir wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Die Portionsgröße war genau richtig: sättigend, ohne dass man sich überessen fühlt. Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung und passen zur gebotenen Qualität. Die Wartezeit war kurz und das Essen wurde schnell serviert. Das Konzept ist unkompliziert: Man bestellt und bezahlt an der Theke, das Essen wird anschließend an den Platz gebracht. Außerdem war alles sauber und gepflegt, einschließlich der Toiletten. Insgesamt ein sehr positiver Besuch. Gerne wieder und verdiente 5 Sterne.

Haben 40 minuten auf das Essen gewartet dann wurde ein Essen vergessen die Ente war verbrannt und trocken und obwohl sie Fehler gemacht hat war die Dame noch unfreundlich

Das Essen war hervorragend, und wir baten um mehr Chili im Curry, da wir es sehr scharf mögen, was der Besitzer gerne zusagte.

Muss jetzt leider meine sehr gute Bewertung von vor einigen Jahren anpassen. Meistens holen wir nur ab - wie auch heute. Das Essen ist im laufe des letzten Jahres konstant immer schlechter geworden. Und das heutige Essen veranlasst mich eine neue Bewertung zu schreiben. Beim Pad Thai waren die Nudeln zerkocht und geschmacklich so lala. Das Panang Gai war wie eine Suppe und schmeckte auch nicht wirklich toll. Der Reis war ok. Wir suchen uns jetzt einen Thai. Schade, denn das Thaifood 2 war jahrelang eine Bank

I don't understand the good reviews at all. It seems like no one has actually tried real Thai food. While the food looks Thai, it doesn't taste authentic. They've unfortunately adapted the flavors to suit German tastes, and it shows! Especially with the Pad Thai—the taste of Maggi seasoning is most noticeable. All I can say is that this place deserves one star for taste alone. For authentic Thai flavor, you should take a page out of Thai Food 1's book in Nuremberg!

Best Thai place to pick up food!

I was impressed by their extensive knowledge of gluten-free products. As someone with celiac disease, I can highly recommend them, even though the selection was limited because they didn't have gluten-free soy sauce.

Excellent, fresh Thai dishes. Unfortunately, I live an hour away, otherwise I would probably eat here every day.

Excellent food. Superbly seasoned and tastes just like in Thailand. We drive all the way from Bamberg once a week just to eat here. Currently, they're serving a variation with pumpkin – highly recommended!

A fixture for decades now - despite the somewhat uninspired ambiance, excellent cuisine and friendly, fast staff!

I ordered here and, unfortunately, I have to say the food wasn't good. The rice noodles were completely mushy, and overall, it didn't look particularly appetizing.

Extremely rude. We would have loved to eat there, but weren't greeted or shown the menu. The lady just rolled her eyes when we asked about it. We left. If you treat customers who come in nicely and friendly like that, you shouldn't be running a restaurant.

Unfortunately, it's getting more and more expensive for really small portions. Of course, you can say you want a larger portion, but that's even more expensive. I find the pricing for the lunch menu pretty random; some people get the same meal for €1 or €2 more or less. The ambiance is okay for the street location. The food is good, but it has been better. Unfortunately, I find it more and more German.

For us, it was also the last time we ate there or picked something up. The last time we ordered, there was a dead fly floating in the curry. We also think the prices are a bit too high these days. €30 for two dishes without any extras when picked up. There are much cheaper and better Thai restaurants in Nuremberg, Fürth, and the surrounding area.

The roast duck was tough and tasted old, I couldn't eat it, for 16 euros it's already annoying

Good food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, some of the tables are a bit sticky, and the price increases in recent years have been quite significant.

It's actually a really good Thai restaurant. We often enjoyed going there or taking something with us. Unfortunately, due to the drastically increased prices, I can no longer say that it offers good value for money. In my opinion, something's not right if I'm paying €28 to-go for a vegetarian dish and fried rice with vegetables and chicken... I'd rather cook at home.

Delicious, large, and generous portions. Only the chicken was a bit dry. A plus point for being the only restaurant nearby that's still open after 2:30 p.m. Update: Last time, the meat (same dish) wasn't dry either. Excellent!

Outside, you sit directly on a main road. Inside, the space is cafeteria-like, with bright lighting and no ambiance. There are flower boxes and a tree outside, but the noisy street is protected by a privacy fence. The noise remains.

The Thai food plate is simply great

Prices have risen extremely. Rice with vegetables 11.50...I think that was 7 euros. The prices have been increased several times over the last two years and the price-performance ratio is no longer right. There are much better food elsewhere for the same or cheaper price. PS: I once had a complete egg shell in my meal... I had to argue with him for ages about how the eggshell can actually only get in when cooking. When he saw it, he took the dish back and I was actually allowed to discuss it with him again so that I could get my money back.

We're usually super happy and regular customers, but the quality has really dropped. Normal rice instead of sticky rice in the Laab, onions and vegetables completely raw and little taste and in the Pad Thai the noodles weren't cooked through. We won't be coming anymore for now.

Today I went with my partner to celebrate Valentine's Day. Although the place was packed and a little cold, the food was excellent. I ordered Gang Kua Ped and my partner opted for Panang Gung, both dishes were delicious.

New operator! Food was great for years... the quality has decreased with the new operator. Several times the meat was tough, the rice was overcooked.

It's not a deluxe location, but if you value really tasty food, this is definitely the right place for you. It was one of my best meals at a Thai restaurant so far..

We were with you for the last time today. I'm very sorry, but what happened today is totally unacceptable. I order a vegan dish with tofu. Then there was meat on it, dish back. We even wanted to pay for it anyway and bring it to someone. New dish ordered. The menu said “basil and chili.” A plate arrived with half a kilo of green beans and almost raw broccoli. Then thick slices of zucchini. Which no one ordered. There was hardly any sauce either. My husband ordered something with Thai eggplant. There were three slices in there, the rest again thick slices of zucchini and half raw broccoli. It was the same dish, just a different sauce. The lady at the checkout also shouts at me and doesn't stop screaming. Then someone else comes and wants to tell me, “The beans are a meat substitute!” “No, that’s why I order tofu. What’s that supposed to mean?” There were 5 chunks of tofu in it. The rice was also mushy at the bottom. It almost disgusted me. Of course we didn't pay for the wrong food and took it with us. Let them throw it away, our food was paid for. Then they also charge extra for the tofu, but don't deduct the meat. Today was the last time. We really like the boss, but whenever he's not there, something happens and the lady today will never see me again. He almost jumped in the face. She yells at me. “You have to tell me if you don’t want beans!” Is she kidding me? There are no beans, no raw broccoli and no thick zucchini on the menu. So I'm so angry. 34€ for crap and trouble. The tables and benches weren't wiped down either. Never again!

Please don't be fooled by the first glance from the street, the food is simply the best in the area!! We are happy to take a 25 minute drive every time.

Pick up… pure chaos. Everyone is overwhelmed and orders are piling up. Of course I stood in line for 30 minutes. Nobody was interested. Everything got cold. I'd rather drive to Nuremberg and wait there for a minute.

Unfortunately absolutely not comparable to Thaifood 1 on Bucher Straße! We were there on December 14th. There, waiting for over 10 minutes without even being noticed by the staff, which is amazing in a 5x5m room... It's noisy! by the people, but especially by the phone which rang almost 5 times in 10 minutes... Because of the takeaway service, almost someone comes in the door every minute and it keeps being opened again and again. We didn't eat there, which is why we can't rate it - after 16 minutes at our table without any reaction from the staff, we left...

They don't respond to special requests such as additional coriander or Thai basil and they act as if you don't understand anything. Service is harsh and unfriendly. It seems that the kitchen and service tick differently and the atmosphere is not good and the guests notice it! The tables are not wiped down, leftover food from previous guests on the tables. Too bad.

Went there for the first time today because it was recommended to us. The table was sticky, as was the menu, and a knife was still dirty. Out of 4 meals, 2 people were satisfied, 2 didn't like it. There was no sign of the promised leek, instead there were other vegetables. The house sauce was so sweet that it made you reconsider the taste of everything else. There was no service other than bringing the food. The house telephone rang so loudly during our stay that it almost gave us heart attack. Plus it was a.....cold. That was probably our first and last stay there.

First I would like to say that we enjoyed our meal fantastically. Ok, the red curry sauce looked watery and not creamy like I expected. But it wasn't a disadvantage in terms of taste, just the consistency in the mouth wasn't what I expected. My wife had fried rice and prawns and I had crispy duck in red curry with vegetables. In terms of taste and quality, it doesn't have to hide from any expensive restaurant, even if we're talking about a snack bar here. It was like a riot and you had to order and pay first before sitting at the table and waiting for the food to be brought. In our case, we had made the mistake of ordering starters. When we were first brought the main courses and we pointed out that we hadn't had the starters yet, the waiter didn't seem to care and he just ran away. A few minutes later, the starters came from another service. It also seemed to be noticeable that we were already in the middle of our main course. My wife, the good soul, was thanks to the fact that I didn't let the starters go back. But honestly, something like that has to be noticed at least when serving the starters when the guest is already eating the main courses. The simple ambience is certainly owed to the snack bar also that the tables between the guests are apparently not cleaned. Nevertheless, it is packed here and it is well attended, but in my opinion this is mainly due to the good taste and quality of the food. If you look at the price, then in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not true when it comes to service.

As a regular who has been eating here for years, I unfortunately have to say that the taste has deteriorated extremely. The worst example was chicken with noodles and vegetables. Completely tasteless and the consistency was dry. I can't recommend it more.

My favorite dish (16a) is no longer as spicy as it once was, but Thai Food II is still my favorite Thai. Authentic cuisine, fresh, tasty, large selection, friendly staff, I've been eating there for 20 years now (it's shocking how time flies).

We often get something to eat here and are always very satisfied. Today I had a special dish no. 67 with Thai herbs that was one of the best things I've ever eaten! Thank you very much and I hope you add it to the regular menu.

I was recently there and ordered food to takeaway, 1 green chicken curry and 1 red chicken curry. the taste was ok but there was barely any chicken in both of the meals about 3 thinly sliced pieces of chicken in each meal. I was a regular customer a few years before untill they became increasingly greedy about their portions, I decided to give them another chance and I was wrong to do so. stay away!!!!

Went here for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Food very tasty, prices still ok. What's annoying, however, is that in the summer the gas stove or something like that seems to break down regularly and we had to wait almost an hour for our food, even though there wasn't much going on. Uncool 😕 Also worth mentioning is the pleasantly designed outdoor area.

You order and pay at the counter and the food is then brought to the table Sometimes a bit of a wait when it's busy. During this time you can, for example, watch how the food is freshly prepared.

Nice place to have a warm tasty meal with a very good price. Ofcourse it is in German spice level and not the real Thai. Had Thai green curry matched like 60 % to the original Thai green curry in Thailand .. amazing overall .. highly recommend .

Unfortunately I have to give one star because my experience at this restaurant was completely unacceptable. I bought fried rice and while eating it I discovered a dead animal that looked like a forest cockroach. This was not only disgusting, but also extremely shocking. It is obvious that appropriate hygiene standards are not being maintained here. The cleanliness in this store also leaves a lot to be desired - the overall picture gives the impression of a lack of care and hygiene. It's really disappointing to have to experience something like this. I definitely cannot recommend this place and will never eat here again.

Enjoy your meal. Service is friendly and accommodating. Portion size is sufficient. Tastes very good. Ambiance is okay. Reasonably priced. Parking spaces are in short supply. Especially not reserved ones for guests.

Something quick to eat, yes Asian food is good in itself. If a very well-controlled diabetic eats chicken with vegetables and rice and the value jumps to over 300 in a very short time, then this food cannot be recommended. Long live the additives!! For some people it can have extreme consequences. We won't eat here anymore. We also cannot recommend it

I was there with friends on Sunday evening. After I had been to the other two restaurants around 20 times, I wanted to be amazed again at Brettergartenstrasse. I was called the day after making the reservation by phone asking whether we would like a table outside or inside. I've never experienced anything like this before, so I was very pleased with this request! In a nutshell...the very good usual Thai Food 2 quality. If you want to experience Thailand in Nuremberg, you should definitely pay this restaurant a visit! Since I spontaneously picked up the bill for the group, I unfortunately neglected to leave a tip. But I'll do it again on my next visit!

It was very pleasing that the young man spoke German perfectly on the phone. Order was prepared quickly. The prices are (yes, I know like everywhere!!) already steep!! But the food is also incredibly tasty! The ingredients are fresh and the finish was even crispy when I got home! A clear recommendation for us!!
