Thai Cuisine in Köln

The food is quite ordinary. The dining area is a bit cramped. Unfortunately, they don't accept card payments, neither debit nor Visa.

So they're just on their phones! There's no real service. Except for bringing the food! They're friendly, but they're just very, ...

I went there today before eating to wash my hands after being out and about all day. I've eaten at this restaurant several times before. The supposed manager followed me down the stairs; perhaps afraid that I would use the restroom and not eat anything? 🤔 I've never experienced anything so over the top. During the coronavirus pandemic, restaurant owners forced citizens to wash their hands. But that's history. I've seen a different behavior from Thais: friendlier, more accommodating. In any case, the restaurant has lost me as a customer.

The best Thai restaurant in the southern part of the city, in my opinion. Incredibly delicious!! The staff is always friendly and you hardly have to wait for your food.

The food was ok, perhaps a bit localized... but we left full. We day street side which was cooler than the interior. It seemed only a few staff spoke some English, but we composed our order on my phones note pad... and showed them the numbers. Payment was by cash only... according to the sign on the counter.

Delicious Thai dishes and excellent value for money. Friendly service and a cozy dining room and terrace. Food is ordered inside and then served at your table. Drinks are taken directly from the fridge and paid for later with your meal. The first time we went, we ordered Gaeng Massaman, Gaeng Daeng, Gaeng Keaw Wahn, peanut coconut sauce, and other dishes. Our son, who isn't so keen on exotic dishes, always orders the chicken skewers (Satai Gai) and fried cheese balls, and last time he ordered chicken fried rice. His twin brother loves the Pad Thai.

I've been here several times. A simple, authentic Thai restaurant with good value for money. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, and the food comes to your table very quickly. Payment is in cash. Uncomplicated, delicious, and with a nice outdoor area. It's always a relaxing visit.

Not recommended! Dry and unseasoned. I've rarely had such bad Thai food. The restrooms are abysmally bad. The basement entrance, where food is also stored, has a very strange smell (a mixture of disinfectant and food scraps). The staff doesn't speak German.

We've been here several times and will be back again. The value for money is simply amazing. The curry is super delicious, the decor and atmosphere are nice, especially the outdoor area is great in summer. Service was super fast. No card payments, and the drinks are unfortunately a bit small, but all in all, highly recommended.

Tom yum and fried rice is so nice. It has a taste of Thai and it smell really good. The chicken rhab has so much smell of peppermint. The chicken panang is also good.

Tom yum yum...tastes like tom yum. Strong sourness. Wonton yum...meat soup with wontons. Beef pho...meat soup. Beef cut thickly. Beef soup with rice noodles. Unexpected tofu pho...wrong menu. Shrimp pad thai...Bokkum noodles with strong tomato ketchup flavor. The chicken yellow curry mixed with coconut flour was okay. I ordered wonton noodles, but they came with tofu rice noodles. I don't speak English well, so I wrote 24 as 22. Yes. I said I'd just eat it. I wanted to eat warm soup. But after a while, they gave me a plate with 5-6 fried dumplings. Yes. I thought it was a service. But when I paid, they changed it to wonton noodles. It's 1 euro difference. Fried dumplings? It wasn't a service. No, they didn't give me boiled dumplings to put in wontons, they gave me fried dumplings that can't even be put in soup, and they want to charge me 1 euro more... It's an absurd situation... It's a store run by people who are lazy, and if that's their mindset, there's nothing they can do, but please know this before you go. They only accept cash.

When I arrived on Sunday around 12:30pm, the restaurant looked like just opened. Ordered at the counter, food served around 8-10min later as it is made by order. The Tom Yam Soup and red curry were fair, taste adapted to local favor. Good price. Clean environment.

The hygienic conditions leave a lot to be desired. Employees smoke in front of the store wearing blue hygiene gloves or use their cell phones, don't change them afterwards and then reach into the ingredient bowls in the open kitchen. Sometimes you get the impression that the employees laugh or talk derogatory to each other about customers present.

I've never had such rubbery beef before and it really wasn't tasty. Clear loss of quality over the last few months!!

So far I've always been super happy. Tasty, friendly, fast and good value for money. That's my favorite place to go and I haven't found a better one in Cologne so far :)

We eat at Thai Cuisine on Severinstrasse at least twice a week and are thrilled every time! The food is incredibly tasty, fresh and full of authentic flavors - simply a delight! The service is always friendly and attentive, and the dishes are prepared surprisingly quickly without sacrificing quality. You immediately notice how much emphasis is placed on freshness and care. For us, it is the perfect place to enjoy Thai cuisine and we love coming here again and again. Many thanks to the great team – you are doing a great job!

The food was so delicious that my sister and I ate there twice in a row during our stay in Cologne. The service was very friendly and we have never had our food served so quickly. The portions are very generous and the prices are surprisingly affordable - great value for money! I especially recommend the Pad Thai with chicken!

Incredibly good value for money. Every now and then the spiciness of the dishes varies and becomes a bit of a challenge, but I am still completely satisfied.

A good Thai food in the city center. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and both were delicious; just the eggs didn’t taste good. The staff was polite and friendly, but they couldn’t speak English. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice; you can sit outside and enjoy fresh air while eating. Prices were also reasonable.

Very popular restaurant for a work day lunch. Papaya salad and coconut milk soup are satisfying, while pha thai does not live up to my expectations. The Thai vibe is good tho. You have to find yourself a table because the waitresses are too busy serving dishes.

Cash only, a rogue who thinks bad things about it. Food is really good. And that's always the main thing. The waitresses don't always manage the food well and the language is always a hurdle. You will also be asked to leave quite quickly after eating to make room for new customers.

I used to be a regular customer there because I lived almost next door. Since I only visit Cologne on business trips, I still come here at least once per trip.

They serve Thai food, but they really shine with their Vietnamese offerings. The Pho & Bun dishes were superb. They also serve Vietnamese beer. The counter ordering makes this a quick and affordable meal.

Leckeres Essen für einen fairen Preis

Das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt; ich kam kurz vor Feierabend, bin aber trotzdem noch freundlich bedient worden. Sehr üppige Portion, da wird man satt. Ich komme gerne wieder. Kölschgläser zum Kölsch wären schöner als Wassergläser.

Pad Thai tasted very bland. Asked for extra spicy and given sambal olek from the packaging. What kind of asian food is this? Price was also not that cheap for a plain fried noodle. Please avoid this place.

Gemütlich, lecker und preiswert.

Es muss zwischenzeitlich wohl einen Besitzerwechsel gegeben haben, denn hier arbeiten jetzt nur Vietnamesen, bin selber Vietnamesin und war mit einer thailändischen Freundin essen, und wir hatten mega Lust auf Thailändisch. Es schmeckt nicht mehr authentisch thailändisch. Das Gericht mit Ente war ganz gut, allerdings hätte ich mir gerne mehr versch. Sorten Gemüse gewünscht, die in der Auslage auch zu sehen waren. Meine Freundin hatte etwas mit Rindfleisch und das hat leider gar nicht geschmeckt, minderwertiges Rindfleisch schmeckt man schnell heraus. Preislich war es wenigstens günstig, hätte aber etwas mehr gezahlt für bessere Qualität. Insgesamt ist es wie ein 08/15 Asia Imbiss.

Solide. Das Angebot wirkt reichhaltiger als es tatsächlich ist, wenn jede Variante mit Huhn, Rind, Ente, Garnelen angeboten wird. Man wählt vorne am Tresen aus und es wird klassisch nur mit Nummern jongliert. Also unbedingt die Nummer auch merken, sonst wird es tricky.

Ich habe für 8€ eine Tom Ka Gai bestellt. Die Portion ist einfach winzig und der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt.

Sehr stabiler Thai, mit leckeren Gerichten und sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bedienung ist auch nett.

Sehr lecker, aber trotzdem hat es nachgelassen.. früher war alles etwas besser, besonders die Frühlingsrollen (Nr.7 auf der Karte). Es gibt den gleichen Laden nochmal in Köln unter dem Namen „Thai Cuisine“. Die Läden unterscheiden sich lediglich durch das Wort „Viet“ welches bei „Viet Thai Cuisine“ enthalten ist. Ansonsten sind wir hier immer sehr gerne. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und bedienen schnell! Auch der Chef ist öfters mal vor Ort und packt an.

Jahrelang daran vorbeigelaufen und jetzt mal per Wolt bestellt, essen ist super lecker und ich bedauere es das Essen nicht schon früher probiert zu haben.

Vietnamese-run Thai restaurant in the south of Cologne. Food was better than at many others. Panaeng curry with duck was surprisingly good, the duck was crispy with thin breading. Pad Thai with shrimp did not really taste like the Thai original, it was missing, the sourness, the sweetness, the fish sauce, but was still pretty good. Highlight were the spring rolls, that’s what Vietnamese are best at. Fun fact: Check the map of Thailand at the door. All cities are at the wrong places.

Das Essen war lecker und der Preis ist wert eigentlich.

Kleiner Laden und teilweise eng. Aber sehr höflich und sehr leckeres Essen. Habe mich da schon durch die Karte probiert und muss sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis echt top ist.

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, va auch die Tofu Varianten. Seit Corona mein Lieblings Thai in der Südstadt. Die Bestellungen werden schnell zubereitet und die Portionen sind gut. Beim Vorbeifahren auch immer wieder voll im Außenbereich. Minuspunkt gibts für die reine Bargeldzahlung.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich super! Der Papayasalat ist einer meiner Favoriten :). Preise sind im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in Köln gut. Es gibt viele vegetarische / vegane Varianten, es muss nur bei der Bestellung gesagt werden. Großer Aussenbereich auf der Severinstraße. Das lädt an den wärmeren Tagen ein, ein wenig länger zu sitzen. Drin könnte die Beleuchtung für meinen Geschmack etwas heller sein. Es ist nur Barzahlung möglich.

Mega leckeres frisches Essen 🥘. Gehen hier immer in der Mittagspause hin. Zu der Zeit ist es immer sehr voll, trotzdem werden alle Gerichte relativ fix zubereitet und kein Extrawunsch vergessen. Team immer super freundlich.
