The Pad Thai and Thai Curry were absolutely delicious and authentically prepared. The homemade cold and hot drinks were refreshing and perfectly balanced. The service was truly first class and the entire team was extremely attentive and friendly. We can fully recommend Kittichai and will definitely come back! Food very tasty, service friendly. However, the loud techno music, which would be more suitable for a cocktail bar, really bothered me and my daughter. I will only use/recommend the pick-up service.

I like it there, every time. My parents wanted to have a delicious meal on their wedding day. I suggested you KittiChai. My parents were also thrilled. Some reviewers don't understand the SemiService and therefore complain, but that's not a rating feature for me. I like the mango curry so much with the tofu (it's so tender) totally awesome. My parents had pasta with duck and red curry with duck. Everything is freshly prepared and is really nice and hot. The rice is fragrant, the portions are large and the service is friendly and attentive. I also like the atmosphere, the different seating options, the warm light, the basket-shaped lamps with the curls on them. I like being there and have probably been there 15 times and have never been disappointed.

A small, bustling but cozy shop. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately the sushi was drowned in a dark sauce and the summer rolls were not very seasoned. However, the curry tasted very good.

Place looked good, music a bit loud, heaters were blasting inside thus way to hot, but it was a social place. 2 stars for that We found out you need to order at the bar, pick up your own cutlery and napkins. All fine, if you know beforehand. Nobody came to explain. My sister ordered the salad and afterwards asked to have the dressing removed once she received it. Bit unfortunate but they did not understand for some reason and put everything in a doggy bag while we just started eating. Therefore service 1 star. Food looked tasty at first, but then realized that the duck with the red coconut curry and the chicken with the Japanese udon noodles was not fresh. In fact the chicken was factory like chicken (ready to eat stuff) and duck was fully dried out. My red curry was not spicy at all and tasted exactly the same as the Japanese udon noodle curry. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

We ate here quite spontaneously. The atmosphere is pleasant and nicely decorated. The food was delicious and had a very good portion size, we were definitely full. For in between and if you are unsure where to go. you can't go wrong here. Both dishes in the photo were tasty and of good quality.

The restaurant is so-so. The food can be called “à la Asian”. And they also have to mix in the additives because I got a stomach ache afterwards today. For me it means "bye, bye" Kittichai.

Really disgusting - I ordered a curry at lunchtime, opened the packaging and had to throw it away straight away. It just smelled like onions (or rather sweat) and my living room has been smelling like it for hours, it's unbearable 🤢 Will never order again, I'm totally disappointed.

Super delicious food. But you first have to order and pay at the counter. Food will then be brought. Since there were 5 of us, we found this a bit uncomfortable as everyone had to go individually. We then made a list and settled the accounts between us afterwards. But the food was worth it.

My Kittichai rating 1 star. Sad but unfortunately that's how it is! Ate there again after 3/4 years and unfortunately it turned out incredibly bad. The dishes from back then are no longer what they used to be. Even the unusual sushi from back then is now prepared carelessly and somehow no longer tastes good. The wasabi is no longer spicy and the portions and ingredients are measly small or almost halved. Why do you do something like that? The price/performance ratio is simply no longer right. Many other Thais in Cologne offer more for the money and they are exactly the ones who are now getting my money! Sorry, but there are zero stars for this - one star is really too many! :(

Don’t expect a real Thai food here. It tastes like some mixed Asian food but the name, street Thai food, might mislead you. The food is alright (not good) but not Thai.

Had eaten here before. Then it was okay. Today we ordered satay and spring rolls. Was really bad. The satay came from the fryer and was super salty. The spring rolls were filled with tasteless onion paste; really nothing to do with spring. I won't be coming back here again.

We always buy cocktails there, great after a cocktail you notice how warm you feel. Heheh better too much alcohol than too little very cool shop.

3 girls out and about in Cologne. At some point we got hungry. My companions had already stopped here. After a few minutes someone came out to tell us that we had to order inside. We chose 2 rice dishes and a burger for me. The rice dishes were ok.My burger too.Sweet potatoes got cold very quickly and the other side dish didn't taste like anything.I wouldn't eat there again.

We were informed far too late that you had to pay at the counter. Nothing was said about it when you came in and otherwise the waitress wasn't really motivated. I won't go there and look for something else.

I would rather not eat here. I can only recommend the cocktails, especially during happy hour. The employees are quite okay.

This is the second time I've eaten here and I've been absolutely impressed every time. I will also go here next time in Cologne. The restaurant is not big and since it was always relatively full, it wasn't quiet either, but if you like the ambience of an Asian restaurant, it's the best. Super delicious food, served quickly by friendly staff. Due to the size of the tables, you can sit together at a large table, even if you would normally choose your own small tables. This promotes communication, but is in no way intrusive or unpleasant. The only suggestion I would like to make for improvement is regarding the restrooms. Management should pay a little more attention here. Nevertheless, all in all, the Kittichai is a top recommendation!

The food was delicious, as was the iced tea. Unfortunately the service was completely subpar. We were there for my best friend's birthday, a total of 4 adults and her 2-year-old son. We came in, sat down and waited for a waiter for 20 minutes until we were told we had to order at the checkout, we had never been here before and didn't know that. They could have simply told us that earlier. Unfortunately, our food came at a different time, which really shouldn't happen if you want to eat together.

Went here for a cocktail. Large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Delicious and rich. Price good. Happy hour for 6.45€/🍸.

You could really have gotten more out of every customer if the service was at least good. Nobody explains how it works here that you order and pay from the start.

2 stars because my wife liked the food. -Mine was unseasoned -Duck was tough -Food took a very long time - Waiters have to check where the table has been reassigned every time they order. Seems correspondingly unprofessional - Kölsch from a cocktail glass -were approached 6 times by passers-by for money - sat in the middle of the street, the highlight was the street lighting as floodlights. Never again and not recommended.

Although we had reserved a table, we were disappointed at Kitty Chai as we were not provided a seat despite our reservation. The staff seemed disorganized and careless, resulting in a frustrating experience. It was disappointing that our reservation was not honored and there was no adequate apology or compensation from the restaurant

Unfortunately not recommended. The food tasted delicious, but we didn't feel well after eating, had stomach pains for hours and had food poisoning during the night.

Ich war heute Mittag, mit meiner besten Freundin, bei euch Essen. Es war, sehr lecker gewesen. Die Portion war, reichlich.

Geschmacklich mega lecker. Etwas zu teuer, aber das Gesamtpaket stimmt.

War sehr lecker. Allerdings ist es dort sehr eng. Zuviele Tische und Stühle.

Habe einen Salat bestellt für mich und ein Curry. Das Curry kam als erstes und der Salat danach. Beides war nicht der Renner und was mich am meisten gestört hat war das die hausgemachte lemonade und der hausgemachte Eistee ein und das selbe ist und aus einem Automat kommt. Preis ist OK aber würde nicht nochmal vorbei kommen.

Food was mediocre, 2 out of 6 dishes were good. Service was bad, albeit it might be because they were busy, but you need to also order at the bar FOR THE FOOD, "homemade lemonade" wasn't homemade, in fact it's the same as "homemade ice tee" which ALSO wasn't homemade, or it was very watered down. Hated the loud music in an otherwise atmosphere looking restaurant. PS. Thai restaurant with 0 Asians working in it, not the best sign.

Nachteile: -Hausgemachte Limonade ist NICHT Hausgemacht. -gerichte kommen in der falschen Reihenfolge (also vor und Hauptspeise gleichzeitig) -mini Salat war 9€ -man muss selber bestellen (würde uns erst sehr spät gesagt) und man muss up-frot bezahlen, was jetzt nicht das schlimmste ist, aber ja.. Vorteile: + Essen war sehr schnell fertig + Schicke Inneneinrichtung Neutral: -Hälfte von Tisch hat es geschmeckt, für die andere hälfte war es "OK" - etwas umorganisieren aber das ist ok. Waren sehr viele Besucher da.

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet und die Auswahl auf der Karte ist groß. Bestellt wird am Tresen und das Essen und die Getränke werden an den Tisch gebracht. Ein gutes Restaurant für ein schnelles Essen, auch die Cocktails sind gut. Service sehr nett und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Food sucks bland and just slapped together ordered massaman curry was just a yellow coloured curry with peanuts which tasted like butter ??? And springrolls which where from the freezer. And overfried one was almost black. Never go here so much better places in koln than this.

Der einzige Curryladen wo ich keine Probleme wegen Glutamat habe. Essen war total lecker und auch die frische Ingwer Basilikum Limonade.

Das Masamam Curry ist gelb, enthält Brokoli, schmeckt wie ein gelbes Curry, es wurde sich nicht mal die Mühe gemacht Masamampaste aus dem Asiamarkt zu kaufen. Noch nie so ein schlechtes Curry gegessen, vollkommen unauthentisch.

Thailändischer Schnellimbiss mit überzuckertem Eistee. Essen war allerdings gut. sowohl das mango curry Menü als auch die Sommerrollen wurden mit frischen Gemüse zubereitet.

Ich hab noch nie so schlechte gebratene Nudeln gegessen wie dort, es waren Spaghetti mit ganz viel Öl. Leider konnte ich nicht mal 2 Gabeln vom Gericht essen und mir wurde schon schlecht. Jeder schnell Imbiss ist besser als dieser Laden
