Was there for the first time. You simply have to praise the service. Very polite and helpful if you want something. I also liked the fact that plates were cleared very quickly. I'll definitely be there next time I'm in Munich.

I am a regular customer and have been to this running sushi restaurant several times, but after my most recent experience, I will never return. I visited with my little brother and a friend, and from the moment we arrived, the waiter was incredibly unfriendly. Despite his consistently rude attitude on previous visits, I had always ignored it and tried to enjoy my meal. However, this time was the last straw. My friend and I stood up to go to the ladies' room, leaving my brother at the table, and the waiter immediately stopped us, demanding that we pay before going to the restroom. When we explained where we were going, he outright accused us of trying to steal and insisted we leave our belongings behind. This was beyond insulting and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I have never been treated so poorly at any restaurant. It’s disappointing that such a place would treat a loyal customer with such suspicion and disrespect. I won't be coming back, and I suggest others avoid this place as well. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants where you can enjoy your meal without being treated like a potential thief.

We tried the running sushi offer at lunchtime. I'm thrilled. The sushi are fresh, varied and, above all, well done. You can clearly tell that the food is prepared by Japanese people. If you don't like running sushi, you can also try the traditional Japanese dishes away from the sushi treadmill. Good Japanese and a real recommendation for fans of Japanese cuisine.

The restaurant offers a delicious running shushi with varied plates. It's not exactly cheap, but we enjoyed it very much and would come again. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

After the Adele concert we were looking for something to eat and discovered this restaurant. Even though it was already after 11 p.m. and the restaurant was actually closed, we noticed that the lights were still on and the doors were open. When we asked if it was still possible to get something to eat, they prepared fresh vegetarian sushi especially for us, as all the other to-go dishes contained meat or fish. While we were waiting, they even brought us sliced ​​watermelon for free and we had a lovely chat with the owner. The sushi was excellent and the visit was a wonderful end to a lovely day. We would definitely come back!

This place is far too expensive for the quality of food offered, and they charge for basic things that are included in other restaurants - like a glass of water. I will definitely not go back and recommend others look elsewhere.

The food is horrible and waaaay to expensive for this so called "sushi"

The spoon I was served with miso soup had lipstick marks from the previous customer that had not been washed off. I still feel disgusted when I think about it. Always check the utensils before eating. The fried pork cutlet in the lunch special is not highly recommended. The pork cutlet tastes tasteless and the dipping sauce is too sour. I will not visit again and do not recommend this restaurant.

We've been coming here for running sushi for almost two years now and we're thrilled! The price-performance ratio is really great! If something isn't on the production line, just let us know and it will be prepared immediately. So nothing goes around 20 times, everything is fresh and very tasty.

Very tasty sushi and delicious hot dishes. Nice employees, a nice atmosphere and all of this in the middle of the university district. Children also get their money's worth here and are guaranteed to find something to eat.

Great Asian restaurant near Königsplatz. Highly recommend ordering the open belt item on the menu to allow you to pick any dish that passes on the conveyor belts placed directly near the tables.

A nice little restaurant for a quick meal, or you can sit in a cozy atmosphere and enjoy the meal in peace!!! Everything from sushi to curry!! Whether warm or cold even watermelon😘 For many people a minor matter but for me more important than anything else, the toilets were very clean and well maintained!!!

The website says All-You-Can-Eat for €16.90, regardless of the time. Then there's the nasty price trap in the suburbs: €28 in the evening!!!

Very disappointed by the service, when we arrived, they still have two or three tables left, but they asked us to take a very small table which is between the pillar and the running sushi, even no place for people to cross at all. The waitress and waiter said “if I gave a proper table to you, then when three or four people come, no tables for them” okay! Fine! then we were about to leave, that waiter stopped us and led us to a proper table, but then he informed us to finish eating within one hour, actually I was their regular customer, normally it’s one and half hours during the peek time, otherwise no time limitation. I was a bit annoyed by him, he explained that many customers had booked the tables already, will come at around 8pm, balabala, but since we sat down until we checked the bill, I just saw two or four people came in to eat, and so many tables were empty when we left.

If you're tired of German food, this is the place to go. This is a reasonably priced Japanese izakaya.

Ordered Ramen here, more specifically the J12 ramen on the menu. The place was jam packed in the afternoon hours. The atmosphere was okay. I had told them to make the ramen spicy but it wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be. The quantity of ramen is A LOT. Better go here with a completely empty stomach. For the price the quantity is more than justified. I wanted to pay by card, but when the waitress saw that I had cash in my wallet, she pointed it out and said she would prefer it if I paid by cash. That part was a bit offsetting, otherwise the overall experience was really good.

A few years ago I gave Tenmaya in Munich four stars for its running sushi. Unfortunately, I now feel forced to revise this rating. It is important to emphasize that my criticism relates exclusively to the running sushi offering. My experience shows that Tenmaya seems to be aimed primarily at a German audience who may not have come into contact with authentic Japanese sushi that often and therefore have lower expectations. In my opinion, the restaurant is not recommended for tourists from Japan or connoisseurs of real Japanese sushi. Over the years, I unfortunately noticed a continuous increase in prices while the quality of the food deteriorated at the same time. This is a development that a restaurant should not actually allow. The price for running sushi in the evening is now 26.80 euros per person. If you add two drinks and a tip, the cost per person easily amounts to at least 40 euros. Given these prices, it's disappointing that hardly any sushi comes past the conveyor belt anymore and when it does, it's usually only very simple versions, such as vegetarian sushi or a piece with salmon. Anything beyond that takes a long time to come. The pictures I took make this situation clear: there's hardly any sushi on the treadmill anywhere, instead there's a lot of fried and fatty food that's supposed to fill you up, but unfortunately doesn't correspond to what you imagine by running sushi. It's sad to see how supply has dwindled. If Tenmaya wants to stick to its concept, it would be advisable to either lower the prices or give it a try and work on both the quality and the selection of the food. Unfortunately, in its current form, Running Sushi at Tenmaya does not offer the experience you would expect for this price.

Poor selection and mediocre quality. Kimchi was pretty tasteless, wine was borderline expensive at €6.90 per glass. There was no meat on the upper, warm treadmill. I wouldn't come back, especially at this price of €30 for running sushi.

Always excellent sushi and sashimi

The sushi at this restaurant used to be of better quality. The inside-out makis are all poorly crafted and the tuna is more brown than red and sometimes tough. If you consider the price you pay here in the evening, it's no longer a good deal for me. The service can be so friendly.

We had a reservation for 6:45 p.m. When we still didn't have a seat at 7:30 p.m. and everyone who entered the restaurant after us had a seat at the line, we left. Rarely have I seen such poor and overwhelmed service. We then went to asaka, where we got a place in a quiet atmosphere and the sushi there also looked a lot better, at least visually. If you want a nice evening, report this shop and walk 10 minutes to a good restaurant

Warning to travelers to Munich, as multiple reviews pointed out, this is NOT an authentic Japanese restaurant, owner and wait staff were conversing in Chinese (I felt it’s a bit cheeky trying to have a menu item written in Japanese whereas it’s clear as day this is ran by Chinese owners /staff, the food was a very Chinese-styled Japanese food). Food is subpar for the price, and sushi rice is way too sticky, definitely not authentic Japanese cuisine. Cleanliness is not amazing, but the worst part by far is the service, we got brushed off 4-5 times by both wait staff when we said we wanted to get the check, they just kept saying yes and then disappeared, this went on for a solid 25 minutes and we kept seeing new customers getting served (either ordering food or even people who asked for the check later than us paid a solid 10 min ahead of us) during which we kept asking for the check. Not sure whether this is a language barrier issue as we don’t speak German and the staff don’t speak English (at least not to us), so you might face similar situation here if you don’t speak German as well. Overall, for the price there’s definitely better, authentic Japanese restaurants in town.

First time at a band sushi so I have no real comparison to make. The food overall was very nice, there are some dishes that are best when just taken out of the kitchen, but the Mochi and the banana fritters are to die for. The service was excellent and joyful while nor given the impression of overwhelming. Always checking that we do not have too many plates on our table and making some casual jokes along the way. The price is absolutely in order. Each of us got to eat from the sushi band and had a drink, amounting to around 32-34 € per person. For the experience it is absolutely worth it.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Das a la cart Menu ist sehr authentisch, die Umsetzung lässt jedoch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Vorspeisen kamen Nach 1,5 std warten (nicht einmal zeitgleich), die Hauptspeisen 3 min. Später. Leider merkt man sofort, dass das Lokal nicht von Japanern betrieben wird, vermutlich haben die schlichtweg einen einzigen japanischen Koch in der Küche versklavt, der mit der Menge an Bestellungen überfordert ist. Die Bedienung wirkt auch überfordert, bleibt aber oberflächlich nett. Leider wirklich schade, denn das Lokal bleibt weit unter dem Niveau, welches man von japanischer Küche erwartet.

Wir hatten einen kleinen Platz am Laufband ich muss sagen dass das Sushi nicht so toll war und die anderen Speisen auch nicht es gab nur wenig Abwechslung und das Sushi war auch schlecht gerollt Nigiri mit Lachs gab es so gut wie nie also hier ist der Preis meines Erachtens überteuert

Das Tenmaya (Japanisches Restaurant) wird nicht von Japanern geführt. Das bemerkt man direkt am Umgang mit den Kunden. Die Bedienungen hatten zwar viel zu tun, allerdings sollte man trotzdem professionell bleiben. Im Hintergrund lief unpassende Pop Musik die viel zu laut war. Das hat das Ambiente gestört. Für Vorspeisen haben wir ca. 1h gewartet. Die Hauptspeise haben wir dann abbestellt. Wir würden nicht noch einmal kommen.

Running sushi war sehr gut. Wir wurden mehrmals gefragt, ob wir noch Wünsche haben. Top Service und sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Es ist mit eines der besten Sushi Restaurants in München. Zudem haben die auch echt leckere japanische Gerichte im Angebot. Wer sich mal ein bisschen wie in Japan fühlen will, dem empfehle ich eines der kleinen Essräume zu reservieren. Einfach tolle Umsetzung und freundliches Personal

Hat mein bisheriges Lieblings-Running-Sushi-Restaurant abgelöst. Hatten online reserviert aber leider vergessen das mitzuteilen. Das Team war so lieb uns noch einen extra Tisch hinzustellen und war sehr aufmerksam. Am Sonntag etwas teurer aber das ist es Wert - sehr gutes Sashimi mit Thunfisch.

Das Running Sushi mag ja gut sei, aber bei a la carte muss man schon aufpassen um sich den Magen nicht zu verderben.

Absolutely average - that's all there is to say, unfortunately. I went with a group of friends to do the All You Can Eat Running Sushi at dinner - it wasn't worth the €25 plus the cost of a drink. The selection of sushi was not that large - and they peculiarly decided to fry a bunch of it. The conveyer went around and around with fruit (lychee, pineapple, watermelon, canteloupe), chicken wings, shrimp tempura, pudding, cakes, etc, but it still didn't manage to make any of us very excited. From my experience, I would say there are better places within and outside Munich to go for running sushi. If you need something in a pinch or this is close to you, it's fine, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Sehr schöne Lage, und besonders bei den heißen Temperaturen war der Ventilator innen sehr angenehm! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und uns wurde alles erklärt. Das Essen war wirklich super, es gab von Sushi über frittierte Shrimps bishin zu frischem Obst alles. Und das Laufband ist wirklich eine spaßige Abwechslung! Der Preis ist wirklich sensationell, mittags zahlt man gerade Mal 15 Euro für ein all-you-can-eat Buffet, da kann man wirklich nicht meckern. Alles in allem war das ein super Mittagessen und ich kann es weiter empfehlen!

Overall, this is a great restaurant for running sushi. They have great variety of sushi and other warm finger foods. We went there mainly for the running sushi, but were mildly disappointed by the fact that there was very little variety in the sushi. They kept making the same small cucumber and radish maki and once made some California rolls. We stayed there for over an hour and a piece of salmon sushi showed up only ONCE! We still has a good time and other good foods. The service was very kind and they immediately cleaned everything after spilling a beer. Overall a good experience!

Das Restaurant hat unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten zum Speisen zu bieten. Vom Separee im asiatischen Stil, über a la carte Menü bis zu Running Sushi. Wir waren zum Running Sushi da, die Auswahl und Qualität war gut, es gab eine gute Miso Suppe vorab. Der Service war stets hilfsbereit.

Wir hatten das Running Sushi, haben allerdings relativ wenig Sushi gegessen. Das lag zum einen daran, dass es tatsächlich so viel Auswahl von anderen, zum Teil, warmen Speisen gab und weiter war das Sushi teilweise sehr salzig schmeckte. Sonst alles super und sogar Nachspeisen waren lecker und das Rindfleisch war zart (ist so ein Kriterium zu anderen asiatischen Restaurants). Gut finden wir hier auch die Übrigen Räumlichkeiten zum Essen für kleinere Gruppen. Zentral gelegen und auch gut öffentlich zu erreichen. Machen wir wieder...

Ein wunderschöner Abend mit traditionelle japanische Küche! Es gibt drei Bereiche: Einmal das Running Sushi oder à la carte und was für uns neu war, ist der traditionelle japanische Bereich wo wir als Gäste auf dem Boden saßen und auch sehr traditionelle japanische Küche genießen konnten. Ein wunderschöner Abend und ein sehr guter Service. Preise sind auch in Ordnung und wir werden sicherlich wieder kochen.

War mit der Sprachschule (japanisch) dort und es war sehr interessant. Die speziellen authentischen Räume sind am Anfang wegen des Sitzens auf dem Boden gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber nach einer Weile sitzt man dann automatisch besser. Essen war super und vielseitig! Über den Running Sushi Betrieb kann ich leider nichts sagen, selbst probieren!

Nichts besonders... Vlt ist a la kart besser, aber das running Sushi ist nicht sehr vielfältig und beschränkt sich nur auf wenige Arten von sushi. Man findet mehr frittiertes und beratenes auf dem Laufband als sushi.... Es gibt leider in der Nähe dann doch bessere Running Sushi Restaurants.

Lieber woanders. Meiner Meinung nach war es kein richtiges Running Sushi, eher Running Food. Es gab nur sehr wenig Auswahl an Sushis, Makis und Nigiris: eigentlich nur mit Lachs und Gurke. Es gab viel frittiertes und gebratenes Essen. Nicht wirklich was für Vegetarier. Der Service war mir zu aufdringlich. Geht lieber zu Asaka in der Amalienstraße. Das lohnt sich mehr.
