A huge compliment for this place. Always relaxed, good food, great for meeting friends or as a date location.

A classic and still good, with particularly friendly service. Prices for tapas are quite high these days. The quality of some individual tapas is only average. Nevertheless, it's still worth a stop. However, it gets very loud when the restaurant is full.

Nice tapas bar with a wide selection and reasonable prices. The only downside is the seating, which is a bit too close together for my taste.

Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a date night, bur since it's always pretty busy also a little bit loud so if you wanna have a calm evening maybe it's not the perfect place. But the tapas were soon delicious 😍 definitely will come back for more tapas and sangria 🤩

Great food, but late night the food was cooked too fast, and it didn’t taste like perfect, we ask for bread and it was burn, super recommended the chorizo, and gambas perfect. Service super kind and fast, of course Spanish speakers

Unfriendly staff. We had to cancel a reservation due to illness. My girlfriend was insulted on the phone, saying she hadn't just been sick today and that she should call ahead in the future. Normally, you just say "get well soon" and offer a new appointment if the customer is so nice as to even call.

I actually wanted to eat in, but that evening everything was just too warm for me. I was initially offered a table to myself, but then decided at the last minute that I'd rather have the food to go. It was absolutely no problem. I was able to place my order, and the staff were truly attentive to my needs. They were very sorry they couldn't create a more pleasant atmosphere for me at that moment. Everyone was incredibly welcoming. The tapas were packed for me. Bread was added, and I was also given some instructions. It felt like home. I particularly liked the idea of ​​being able to write down what I wanted on a piece of paper. I picked out a few small things and then finally put them together in my hotel room. The photo shows only a small selection of what the portions represent. The space is truly great, and making a reservation is highly recommended. The tapas themselves were absolutely outstanding. Especially the croquettes. I like to compare them with similar restaurants. Here, they were an absolute delight. I can recommend the tapas bar with a clear conscience. Good selection of tapas, something for every taste. Unfortunately, there weren't many seafood options when I was there. Otherwise, the quality was good, but not outstanding. The owner seemed a bit disgruntled, but his team was very friendly.

It was very busy, very tasty, not exactly cheap, but always worth a visit! The tapas selection was very varied and high-quality, with excellent taste. And what I always like is that the waiter and the manager himself keep asking if everything's okay! Best, the French lady :)

Very enjoyable night out with friends. Relaxed atmosphere even though the place was full. The tortilla española is very nice as well as the chocolate mousse. Even though the waiters are busy, they are super friendly. A lot of tables are seated high with bar stools (just fyi).

A very cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. You can preview the tapas and desserts beforehand. We had 13 tapas, and 12 of them were very good. The quality of the food was excellent! The seafood was fresh, and the meat and vegetables were well-seasoned! The sauces were also absolutely top-notch. We also had crème Catalana. It was super fresh! The restaurant is always very busy or even overcrowded. The servers are nevertheless well-organized and quick. We would definitely come back! We highly recommend this Spanish restaurant!

We've been regulars at the Teatro for many years... a very popular place where you now have to make reservations days or weeks in advance. This is also reflected in the prices – 1 portion of tapas costs 7.30, or 1 0.5l bottle of water costs 5.30(!). That means 3 portions + a couple of drinks come to 50 per person, which is pretty steep, inflation notwithstanding. Added to that is the unbearably loud noise level; you can barely hear what the other person is saying. But it's always been like this :-) The food is great, the service is great, friendly, and attentive. Nevertheless, this was our last visit, especially because the price-performance ratio is no longer good in my opinion.

A real tapas bar where you can see what you're getting in the display beforehand. We had 12 different tapas, out of a total of 31 to choose from, and each one was excellent. Rioja is very good, both white and red. Reservations are recommended, even though it's huge. Staff are quick and super friendly, including the manager.

The Teatro Bar Tapas is an absolute must on every visit to Munich. I've rarely experienced a restaurant with such consistent quality over such a long period as this tapas bar. Nice Spanish tapas bar. We were there for the first time and were very impressed. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. We liked the selection of cold and warm tapas. We enjoyed all of them. The prices are reasonable for Munich. The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. Reservations are required. A highly recommended restaurant.

My wife invited here to take dinner. The place has the feeling of a local barrio in Spain, nothing fancy. You get to see all the tapas / menu on the window and you choose what you want. I have to say they were relatively fast in bringing it. The food tasted delicios, good albondigas, the chicken . It was all tasty. We ordered too much i think but we left full . If you want to taste some spanish food, this one is a good choice.

The Teatro Bar Tapas is a real gem in the heart of Munich. As soon as you enter, you immediately feel at home thanks to the stylish furnishings and warm atmosphere. The tapas are creative, authentic and incredibly delicious - every dish was a delight! Particularly noteworthy are the fresh ingredients and the loving presentation. The service was also top: friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. You can tell that people cook and work here with passion.

It used to be better, apparently there was a new chef, the food was now bland and lackluster, it was crazy loud inside, and the food counter now had tight seating, so that the guests there felt inconvenienced when they wrote down the tapas. €690 quite sporty for mini bowls.

It’s a very nice place when you crave some Spanish tapas. Food tastes very authentic, all dishes are really tasty, and, as usually with tapas, it’s a great place to go to with your friends. :) service is also great, all the guys are super friendly and helpful. Well… anyone who enjoys the tapas there has never had tapas in Spain. There were 6 of us, each with a choice of 5 different tapas and we all came to the same conclusion: tasteless, bland, boring. It was hardly seasoned and the octopus salad was so bland that I couldn't finish it. North German Rollmops have more pizzazz than the Boquerones there, the Pimientos were overcooked, flat and sprinkled with far too much coarse salt, they are Pimientos and not a snow-covered street!...in short, pure disappointment. The ambience is like any crowded restaurant where you use every square inch to make money and you can barely move because the neighbor is sitting right behind you. The service was OK For us it was definitely not worth a second visit, which is a shame.

We were there on a Saturday evening. Nothing/hardly works without a reservation. If there are two of you, you have to be prepared to be at odds with your neighbors as the tables are next to each other without any distance between them. That makes the whole thing a bit un-relaxed and uncomfortable. If you catch a table against the wall, it looks different. Otherwise it's a great atmosphere! The food was at the table super quickly, the portions are really big for tapas, we ordered too many :D but soooo delicious!!! I'll definitely come back, but more likely during the week :)

There was a large selection of tapas variations and also many delicious desserts. You could share everything with each other so that everyone could try something from the different tapas. It was all very tasty. My personal favorite were the bacon-wrapped dates and the eggplant cream with bread – super delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and the waiters were very friendly and accommodating. It was a bit crowded, but that was to be expected for Valentine's Day. We had a table next to the front door, which was a bit tight as it was next to a coat hook. It wasn't all that comfortable as people were constantly coming by to get their jackets. Overall, however, we were satisfied and will come back.

Delicious tapas, nice service, nice ambience

My favorite tapas restaurant in Munich. I've been here many times and I'm always impressed by the food, the wine and the atmosphere. Nobody can do anything about the acoustics in the bar. Anyone who has been there many times knows that when it is full it gets very loud, as the room was once prepared for performances. The selection of tapas is excellent. Everyone will find something there. In terms of quality and taste, I think different reviews are absolutely fine. Everyone has a different view of it. I was always satisfied and so were my companions. I've almost never had anything to complain about in terms of service. It was always just small things that can easily happen when the guest room is full. The owner makes the reception first class. I will always come to you.

Tapas in a welcoming, renovated, slightly retro place. Many tapas on offer, to be chosen directly at the counter. Cuisine without particular praise, but convivial environment.

Teatro Bar Tapas is the perfect restaurant if you are looking for a tapas meal! The place is buzzing in the evenings, hence do make a reservation at least 3-4 days prior. Possible ONLY via telephone! They offer an average wine menu. Called for an Aperol Spritz and a Wine Spritz (the white wine was just passable). The restaurant is known for its tapas options. They have about 20-25 tapas dishes on display by the counter, along with paella and 4-5 desserts, which you can walk around and see yourself. You finally hand in your choice by writing them on a piece of paper and handing it over to the waiter. The service was quick and the waiters are friendly! If you are one of the unfortunate ones seated by the bar (like me), you'll have people constantly walk by! Was annoying to start with but forgot about it in 15 mins. The pricing was reasonable (most are priced at 6-7 euros).

The best tapas restaurant I know

well i don’t expect it’s anything close what i get in Madrid. but this is beyond worse, than i prepared….. fried Sardine was cold and soft. lamb and pollo were only lurk warm ( guess either the microwave was not working well or they just don’t have enough time for heating the pre made dishes.) Crème Brulee was like liquid. and 12,50€ for 7 pieces Gambas al ajillo? …. Rioja was alright. but the happy hour Caipirinha you get that you can literally finish in 2 sips was basically mixed with sugar and crushed ices. sad tapas! btw don’t waste your time to call and make reservation, coz they never pick up and when you arrive they would just give you the corner seat and tell you it’s the last one available.

A great experience, you can see beforehand what you want to order and it is so great to have small dishes with several different variantes.

What can I say, the food was very tasty, but unfortunately this time it was a complete failure… We wanted to meet up with old friends there. Unfortunately the reservation had been registered for 2 people instead of 3 - they couldn't find a solution and didn't ask very politely to leave... so we had dinner and fun somewhere else. For professional meetings this falls flat for me. But they called and asked to come for a drink later. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a nice evening somewhere else...

The evening with friends in the Teatro Tapas Bar was great! The food was delicious, the service was courteous, friendly, funny and on point. There's only one star deducted for the ambience because it was really packed and quite loud (but it was also a Saturday evening).

Price was OK for people. Tapas tasted good, as did the dessert. It's a bit cramped in the store overall. But they'll get it sorted.
