Very nice and authentic Tapas Bar. Definitely recommended.

The evening with friends in the Teatro Tapas Bar was great! The food was delicious, the service was courteous, friendly, funny and on point. There's only one star deducted for the ambience because it was really packed and quite loud (but it was also a Saturday evening).

Super authentic tapas restaurant with very attentive and friendly service. The tapas are available at the counter (the offer changes daily). You then write the numbers of the tapas you want to order on a piece of paper and then give it to the waitress. Everything was very tasty and fresh, delicious sangria and fast service despite the full house! The seating is just a bit cramped.

The bar is not far from Rosenheimer Platz, which is easy to reach by public transport. The bar is quite large and the tables are relatively narrow, but once you sit down it's fine. The tables aren't too big either, so you can order your tapas one at a time and have them brought to you. There is a large selection of tapas, which are selected behind glass along the counter. To do this, simply take the pieces of paper and pens available at the counter and write down the numbers of the tapas. There are both cold and warm tapas. The table menu also includes: cheese, shrimps in olive oil and olives. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambience is subdued with dark wood and candles on the tables. The side walls are illuminated by projectors with various atmospheric images, which I found very nice. We were here on a Wednesday and between 7 and 9 p.m. the bar was completely full. A reservation is strongly recommended. I would definitely come here again.

Super nice atmosphere, former cabaret stage, now tapas bar and restaurant. The highlight are the slide shows that brilliantly expand the restaurant at both ends with pictures of Spanish palaces. The staff is ok, but no Spanish. The food is mediocre. The Spanish wine selection is ok with a good price/performance ratio. We had a really nice evening thanks to the cozy atmosphere.

One of the best Tapas place in Munich

Had my birthday with Momo and Fabio on Saturday. Very well organized, good communication with the boss Momo regarding menu and drinks. Fabio provided great service, quickly understood what type of guests were at the table and adapted accordingly. Funny, fast and professional. Food is honest Spanish tapas, just as it should be. The atmosphere is casual but also suitable for romantic meetings. We'll definitely see each other again!! Thanks to the Teatro team! Manfredi

A great experience, you can see beforehand what you want to order and it is so great to have small dishes with several different variantes.

Actually my favorite Spaniard in Munich for years. It's best to make a reservation because it tends to be quite crowded.

Excellent tapas restaurant, everything we ordered was very tasty and fresh. The owner of the restaurant, Momo, a very nice man, greeted us very nicely and sat down to talk with us. Highly recommend.

We were deliberately not served! Nothing so unkind has ever happened to me in my life. Last night around 9:00 p.m. we spontaneously decided on the tapas bar. There were still a few tables for four available outside, but they weren't offered to us because there were two of us. Then we decided to take a seat inside the bar. There were at least 40 tables unoccupied, we were offered a mini table for two people, we then moved to the next table, which was twice as big, after which we were no longer served . As I said, it was already after 9 p.m. and a big rush was probably no longer to be expected on a Monday evening.

Not cheap, but the tapas are excellent. The atmosphere is a bit too crowded and loud for me, but that's probably a matter of taste. There are always many larger groups, often departmental celebrations, etc. present. Reservation absolutely makes sense and is necessary!!! But even if you come spontaneously as a couple - the old, legendary 'el jefe' still makes some things possible. Brilliant.

Best tapas restaurant in Munich

The tapas selection is really big and good. The service friendly and quick. Everything is super tasty, more than recommended. A fixed date for my future Munich visits... We definitely recommend a reservation. There should be more restaurants like this. Thanks for the culinary experience.

The ambience of the Tapas Bar is inviting and cozy. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, which helps you immediately feel at ease. The service was excellent - attentive, friendly and very accommodating. The staff always tried to fulfill our wishes and impressed us with their expertise. Now to the highlight: the food. The selection of tapas was impressively diverse and the quality of the food was excellent. Every dish we ordered was deliciously prepared and tantalized our taste buds. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the sophisticated flavor combinations. Overall, I can fully recommend the tapas bar in Munich. If you know paella or fideua and/or good Spanish food...don't go there...it's a "sub product" unless you really want to drink a caipirinha then, yes...it's not worth it...the tavern much better flamenco😜

I'm always satisfied with friendly customer service, delicious wine and cocktails, and very reasonable prices. I always end up eating and drinking too much. It is a popular restaurant that is always mentioned in the Japanese community.

Why doesn't anyone ever answer the phone there? A real shame. The food in the Teatro tastes really great... but it's not possible to order there. (Mon, 5:40 p.m.) Opening times according to Google from 5 p.m.

For good tapas in Haidhausen and a cool location, we recommend making a reservation at least on the weekend. The service was extremely friendly.

The madness is absolutely worth the trip. The food is great, lots of choice and the team is great. It's a little loud but I think that adds to the atmosphere. Not a bargain but absolutely worth the money.

An institution for over 20 years. I haven't been here for a long time, but nothing has changed. Still good, the waiters were friendly and quick, and even though it was very loud it was just great and the tappas were of course very good across the board.

Spanish restaurant in the German city of Munich. Nice atmosphere with our group. We enjoyed the place especially with the restaurant manager of Algerian origin who took care of us. Hats off and good luck.

The food was very tasty. I ordered 3 tapas and the baguette filled me up. I perceived the atmosphere as positive and happy, even if it was well attended and therefore a little louder. You come in, are warmly welcomed and shown to the place. Then you can order your drink and then go to the bar where the tapas can be seen. All tapas have numbers and you write down on a piece of paper which numbers you would like to order. These pieces of paper are then collected at the table and then brought from the cellars. 3 tapas and a juice = 25€ My colleagues had a cocktail and dessert and ended up with €50

Super tasty tapas bar with excellent service and great ambience. It's well filled and therefore relatively loud, but the service and the food more than make up for it all. The food was delicious and the selection of tapas was fantastic. We'd love to come back!

The food was generally tasty, but the portions were relatively small for the money. I would also think it would be better if it cost less and had less food on the plate so that you could try different things. Our waiter (Fabio) was very attentive and nice. I personally found the boss too pushy and I had the feeling he wanted to get rid of us quickly. We were already getting dressed when he came and said he needed the table right now. (and we certainly didn't dawdle!). Otherwise it is unfortunately really loud and very, very narrow there. Getting to the toilet was a struggle. So all in all it was a nice evening, but not so special that we would take the route again.

Very nice restaurant with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good. I can only recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is really busy. When the store fills up, it can get quite crowded and noisy. Nevertheless, definitely worth a visit!

It's not for nothing that the Teatro is always full of good-humoured people. Everything is just right here, the ambience, the staff and of course the tapas and wines. Was Stephan's favorite restaurant, in the evenings he'll definitely look out from the stars and no longer have to make a reservation.

Really damn good tapas! A bit pricey, a tapas plate costs €6.90 as of Q1 2024, but very good quality! Table reservations are definitely mandatory if you want to dine here.

We’ve always had a lovely time at Teatro. The food is tasty, the service is nice and the atmosphere is buzzing.

Service is really good. The cold tapas (ham, cheese, etc.) are also really good quality. Unfortunately, when it comes to cooking, it stops here. Prawns are just oily, without any flavor, mushrooms are just tasteless, meatballs are dry and the sauce tastes like it comes from a can. The dessert “Tiramisu” also tasted kind of rotten. All-in, typical, Munich-hyped store and you don't really know why. Loud, cramped, poorly crafted. In some cases, however, the good basic products save the food

It's loud, it's full - just a typical tapas bar. Service is quick and attentive. The tapas were a nice size - although I found the portions to be too big. The selection of dishes: great, but sometimes a little bland in terms of taste - it lacks a kick. All in all it was an experience - but I wouldn't come back again. I prefer to eat tapas directly in Spain. (Tapas cost EUR 6.90 per cover - that's pretty steep)

It was a nice evening to meet an old acquaintance. The atmosphere is nice, even nicer when you're drunk... The service was noticeably intrusive when it came to the consumption of drinks. The paella was a joke in presentation. Most of the dishes were rather cold, there was little warm food except for potatoes, casseroles etc. Unfortunately, the restaurant that I had always wanted to visit did not exceed my expectations.

Food wasn't fresh, it tasted like done 2 days ago. Go there to drink wine and order only Jamon and gambas. Don't go for the tapas that are in exhibition. There's a better place for that in Shwabing, called Amistad.

Tolles Restaurant! Super Auswahl, angenehme Atmosphäre, und das Essen hat einen milden Geschmack. Selbst spontan kann man hier einen Tisch bekommen.

Ohne Vorbestellung, trotz gut gefülltem Haus haben wir einen schönen Platz bekommen. Die Bedienung hat uns herzlich begrüßt und uns erklärt, wie die Speisenbestellung abläuft. Wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Die Auswahl der Tapas ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Es war ein schöner Abend. Wir können die Bar jederzeit, weiterempfehlen.

Sehr große Auswahl an Tapas. Die meisten Portionen haben die richtige große!Nur einige sind ein wenig klein . Die Cocktails sind auch lecker. Auch wenn die in Tassen serviert werden 😉Das Personal ist super nett und das Ambient ist sehr familiär.

Leckeres Essen. Der Kellner war etwas forsch. Er drängelte uns irgendwie zu bestellen. Trotzdem war alles schön.

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Bedienung ist schnell. Das Speiseangebot ist groß und es ist wirklich praktisch, dass alle Tapas hinter einer Glasscheibe besichtigt und ausgewählt werden können. Für uns persönlich war das Essen teilweise sehr fettig, schwer und geschmacklich nicht unseres. Das Lokal ist schön, allerdings sitzt man sehr eng auf eng und es ist ziemlich laut.

Der Koch hatte wohl einen schlechten Tag. Nichts von dem was ich bestellt hatte, war okay.

Lange hatte ich in München nach einem guten Tapas-Restaurant gesucht. Als ich dann das erste Mal das TEATRO betrat, war ich sofort verzaubert! Denn hier werden nicht nur schnöde Einzelzutaten angeboten, sondern raffinierte, kleine Gerichte. Keines davon hat je enttäuscht! Appetitlich dargeboten zur (selbst-)Auswahl. Das Personal hat immer eine Möglichkeit gefunden, uns einen Platz zu organisieren. Allerdings ist es ratsam, vorher zu reservieren.

Nicht grade billig, eigentlich immer berstend voll und dementsprechend laut, aber herausragend gutes Essen mit flotter Bedienung. Das Ambiente kommt mir spanisch vor.

Wir waren hier zu einer Kleingruppenzusammenkunft. Hatten einen sehr schönen Abend, das Ambiente ist wirklich top. Es hat uns sehr gefallen zu bleiben und bis zu sieben Bier pro Person zu trinken. Die Tapas waren wirklich gut. Kann den Laden definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Die Tapas sind ausgezeichnet, der Inhaber und sein Team sehr freundlich. Es ist meist voll und lebhaft, wenn man das mag, ist es eine tolle Lokation für gutes Essen und Unterhaltung.

Interessantes Lokal. Freitag Abends um 22 Uhr brechend voll. Sehr laut. Essen war gut, aber sehr teuer.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Tapas sehr gut und die Idee an der Bar die Gerichte auszusuchen und per Zettel zu bestellen ist gut. Leider finde ich es sehr laut in dem Lokal, man kann sich kaum unterhalten.

Habe mich da Mitte Oktober in der Woche mit einem Arbeitskollegen getroffen. Es war sehr voll (man sollte auf jeden Fall reservieren!) und entsprechend rummelig... d.h. der Service war schon sehr gefordert, dauerte dadurch etwas länger wenn man z.B. ein neues Getränk ordern wollte ... insgesamt aber im Rahmen und sehr freundlich. Durch die Fülle und die Recht eng stehenden Tischen war die Lautstärke auch grenzwertig... musste einige Male beim Gespräch nachfragen weil was untergegangen ist. Die Tapas waren OK für München (wer mal in Nordspanien war, weiß was ich meine 😉 ). Preislich fand ich das angemessen... Insgesamt empfehlenswert.
