A very large and beautiful beer garden with a friendly staff. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian/vegan, there's something delicious for everyone. The Taxis Garden is always worth a visit.

The food is good. However, almost 6 euros for a pastry (Auszogne) in the beer garden is absolutely outrageous.

Unique Bavarian vibes - excellent place to go out with friends.

We where looking for a beer garden to go to and came across this one. What a beautiful place. Lots and lots of tables. And surprisingly not extremely busy therefore no long waiting time for drinks and food. There is nothing better on a beautiful day than to enjoy a cold beer and large pretzel. The pretzel was very good and soft which I love. We also had the Currywurst which was ok. Looking forward to next visit.

We made a quick stop here for a drink on our bike ride, so no review for the food. The seating is nice and comfortable, and a playground completes the experience. It feels good. Plenty of shady spots, even in summer.

It is a super nice place, but the kitchen on weekdays closes earlier.

Es gibt Positives zu vermelden: Der bereits auf hohem Niveau angesiedelte Bierpreis wurde 2025 im Vergleich zu 2024 nicht erhöht (Stand: Mai 2025). Die sonstigen Punkte bleiben ebenfalls unverändert: Gute Verkehrsanbindung, ruhiges Plätzchen unter den Kastanien, zahlreiche Fahrradparkplätze und Spielplatz für Kinder.

In my opinion, the best beer garden in Munich. A cozy atmosphere, not too crowded. Benches with backrests. Clean and well-maintained restrooms.

Very bitter Hofbräu beer and subterranean sausage salad. The pretzel is great, but it's not a work of art either. Ambiance has always been great. In the future we will prefer to bring our own food.

Service, food quality and portions have finally improved significantly. I hope it will soon be like it was many years ago and I look forward to many visits to the beer garden.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The Obazda was mediocre, spinach dumplings a dumpling floating in tomato sauce cost 11 euros. Otherwise pretty overpriced for a beer garden. Too bad. The location is generally great.

Cozy, relaxed and classic beer garden, as it should be in my opinion. Simple and yet nice to sit under the trees and fairy lights. The food was great, I especially thought the selection of vegetarian and vegan options was great!

Fantastic beer garden, but I find 4.10 euros for an Adelholzener medium mineral water 0.5l in the beer garden (too) expensive.

Ich besuche den Biergarten seit vielen vielen Jahren und kann mich den Kommentaren einiger enttäuschter Gäste nur anschließen: Die Preise steigen seit Jahren deutlich und die Qualität lässt nach (z.B.: Preis für 1 Radlermass in 2024: 10,60 Euro). Natürlich liegt der Biergarten wunderbar ruhig inmitten von Gern und bietet nicht nur ausreichend Platz, sondern auch Sitzbänke mit Lehne. Durch den Spielplatz ist er auch sehr kinderfreundlich und die ausreichenden Fahrradparkplätze sind ebenfalls loben zu erwähnen. Doch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist vergleichsweise schlecht und ich werde meine Biergartenbesuche zukünftig auf attraktivere Konkurrenten verlagern.

How relaxing to drink your good 500 ml beer

The Taxisgarten is a cozy beer garden in the north of Munich that not only scores with its relaxed atmosphere, but also offers a large selection of culinary highlights. The wide range of vegan options is particularly impressive – from spinach dumplings to bratwurst to ox shred rolls and numerous side dishes. The vegan ox shred roll tasted excellent and was generously portioned for the price - you'll definitely be full! The drink prices are a bit high for the location. Actually a very nice, quiet, idyllic beer garden with a great selection (including Obadzda and Auszogne) and great service. But we were disappointed today: the beer garden was closed in the afternoon. Without any information. Not very reliable. Insider tip: A few meters at the end of the taxi park is the Wirthaus zur Walli with a beer garden. ;-)

Even though we went to Horst, we were served very friendly! Great beer garden, very cozy! Here you can also bring your picnic/food and just need to buy the drink.

We were a bit sad that the venue was close for the day we wanted to have lunch, lucky enough it was open at another day so we could enjoy some beer and brezel. We would definitely come back!

Our favorite beer garden! Much quieter than many other beer gardens in Munich. More people from the neighborhood, few to no tourists. It's easy to find a place even on weekends. The food isn't great, but you can bring your own snack.

No matter what I ate or tried here, it was just bad. Even simple dishes like currywurst with fries are presented in such a tasteless way that you rarely find in Munich. The ambience is okay, but most of the time it's just overcrowded when the weather is good, and the bar doesn't have the capacity to serve the size of the beer garden, so there are long lines.

Typical, pleasant beergarten with good food. It has a play area with a sandbox, excellent for taking small children.

Great garden. Food see pictures. This is not a schnitzel, the breading is thicker than the meat and is a total of 0.7cm thick. But otherwise great beer garden. Not so crowded and family friendly

The Taxisgarten was very spacious and beautiful with a small playground in it. The sitting area was mostly empty on an early Wednesday morning. We ordered the Ochsensemmel which is the shredded ox sandwich, and the shweinswürstel with sauerkraut and that one sweet bread. The Ochsensemmel was amazing and I would highly recommend it. So was the sweet bread though I don't know what it's called. The shweinswürstel was ok, I would not get it again. I got a liter of Radler and my husband got a liter of their Russ beer. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. There is also a bathroom there, don't forget to tip the bathroom attendant a few euro coins. Everyone was very friendly, I think they could tell we were tourists. Very nice experience, highly recommend 10 outta 10.

Certainly one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich with a really pleasant atmosphere. You can easily spend hours here and can usually find a place even with large groups. The ox roll tastes great and is also available in vegan form!

Ochsensemmel schmeckt wie Hundefutter. Semmel wie Schwamm. Kein Vergleich mit Ochsenbraterei. Dafür sind 9 € zu viel

Hey, who knows the Taxis Garden? Very nice beer garden for Munich residents and their guests. Authentic, cozy, a great experience with good food and drink.

There were 3 of us today in the Taxisgarten. Normally we like being there. When we got food (2 half chicken, 1 pork schnitzel) we were literally attacked by wasps and flies at our place. I've never experienced anything like this in all these years and in Munich's beer gardens. This may now be the time when wasps and the like are trying everything possible to take food, but there is probably no way to take any measures or make compensation here. It's a real shame because after 10 minutes of fighting we left our food to "nature"...

I was really disappointed with the spare ribs this time, the portion was more expensive and the portion was smaller and greasier than several weeks ago. The last time I was there, the spare ribs were mega and super marinated, large portions and the meat wasn't that fatty either. They had very good taste. Too bad...

Ox shred rolls, Obazter and spareribs gigantic delicious! You can sit under the trees in the beer garden and let the evening end.

Definitely one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the city. The food on offer is tasty, the prices are okay. The ambience is very nice, with enough space. Traditionally, bringing something with you is completely normal. Parking spaces are rather rare. Anyone who lives nearby can come on foot or by bike. Everyone else takes the subway to Gern. From there it's barely five minutes. There is a playground nearby for children.

Sensational threesomes and good beer. I'm more of an Augustinian, but the Hofbräu on tap is also fine. Beautiful beer garden, lots of local Munich residents there.

It's a shame that I was only allowed one cut, even though the beer garden was rather poorly attended due to the weather. Even when I mentioned that I didn't care what was required for the cut, it still wasn't possible.

Beautiful classic Munich beer garden. The currywurst was good, although the fries could have been a little fresher. Unfortunately, in the triple spread selection, the Obatzte was the weakest link in the chain; quite dry and not at all creamy, while the herb cream cheese and beetroot dip tasted quite good.

Modern beer garden with a wide range of food (warm cold, vegan) and the option to bring something yourself. Unfortunately no oatmeal; instead a stupid answer to the question about it.

Very expensive unfortunately... Come very rarely, don't worry! Since Corona we have been grilling in our own garden! Yes, you have no choice but to follow the youth and buy beer in the supermarket and drink it outdoors... And the Taxisgarten used to be the cheapest, greetings to the new tenant!

Overcrowded, overrated, portions a joke considering the prices

Unfortunately I have to delete my 4-star review from 5 years ago. The perceived quantity and quality of spare ribs has fallen sharply since then (straw pig inflation?), but the price has risen by around 50%. A pity.

Am Sonntagmittag im Taxisgarten eingekehrt. Ruhiger, schöner Ort. Essen, Selbstbedienung, Getränke ebenso. Hochpreisig. Leider war es der Küche nicht möglich am Sonntagmittag um kurz vor 13:00Uhr (!!!) einen Krustenbraten mit Kruste herzustellen. Diese war komplett wie Gummi. Viel Fett ansonsten. Kartoffelsalat in üblicher Kantinenqualität. Ein Armutszeugnis für einen bayerischen Biergarten. Für € 15,20 anstellen und zahlen und wegtragen. € 9,80 wären hier höchstens angemessen. Darum lieber selber Essen mitbringen dort verzehren das Ambiente genießen und Bier trinken.

A nice beer garden with good food! Prices moderate!

The quality of the food has declined significantly this year. The potato salad is made from old, hard potatoes that have already developed a dry skin. Greetings to the chef, no, it's not enough to soak them in oil and vinegar, the consistency is just disgusting. The Obazda is just bad, old, musty and tasteless and by far the worst in the city. The ribs were a disgrace last time, not properly prepared, the fat had a strange taste, as if it hadn't been fried properly. Nice atmosphere and coziness, but if you value the food you should bring your own and then consider whether HB beer is worth it, the food definitely isn't.
