Taxisgarten in München

Our favorite beer garden! Much quieter than many other beer gardens in Munich. More people from the neighborhood, few to no tourists. It's easy to find a place even on weekends. The food isn't great, but you can bring your own snack.

Amazing spacious beer garden with a very decent curry wurst. Good alternative to other places in the city center.

No matter what I ate or tried here, it was just bad. Even simple dishes like currywurst with fries are presented in such a tasteless way that you rarely find in Munich. The ambience is okay, but most of the time it's just overcrowded when the weather is good, and the bar doesn't have the capacity to serve the size of the beer garden, so there are long lines.

Typical, pleasant beergarten with good food. It has a play area with a sandbox, excellent for taking small children.

Great garden. Food see pictures. This is not a schnitzel, the breading is thicker than the meat and is a total of 0.7cm thick. But otherwise great beer garden. Not so crowded and family friendly

The Taxisgarten was very spacious and beautiful with a small playground in it. The sitting area was mostly empty on an early Wednesday morning. We ordered the Ochsensemmel which is the shredded ox sandwich, and the shweinswürstel with sauerkraut and that one sweet bread. The Ochsensemmel was amazing and I would highly recommend it. So was the sweet bread though I don't know what it's called. The shweinswürstel was ok, I would not get it again. I got a liter of Radler and my husband got a liter of their Russ beer. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. There is also a bathroom there, don't forget to tip the bathroom attendant a few euro coins. Everyone was very friendly, I think they could tell we were tourists. Very nice experience, highly recommend 10 outta 10.

Certainly one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich with a really pleasant atmosphere. You can easily spend hours here and can usually find a place even with large groups. The ox roll tastes great and is also available in vegan form!

There were 3 of us today in the Taxisgarten. Normally we like being there. When we got food (2 half chicken, 1 pork schnitzel) we were literally attacked by wasps and flies at our place. I've never experienced anything like this in all these years and in Munich's beer gardens. This may now be the time when wasps and the like are trying everything possible to take food, but there is probably no way to take any measures or make compensation here. It's a real shame because after 10 minutes of fighting we left our food to "nature"...

A classic Munich beer garden. The beer tastes good and the food is prepared to a high standard. Payment is also possible contactless by card. Toilets are available.

I was really disappointed with the spare ribs this time, the portion was more expensive and the portion was smaller and greasier than several weeks ago. The last time I was there, the spare ribs were mega and super marinated, large portions and the meat wasn't that fatty either. They had very good taste. Too bad...

Ox shred rolls, Obazter and spareribs gigantic delicious! You can sit under the trees in the beer garden and let the evening end.

Definitely one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the city. The food on offer is tasty, the prices are okay. The ambience is very nice, with enough space. Traditionally, bringing something with you is completely normal. Parking spaces are rather rare. Anyone who lives nearby can come on foot or by bike. Everyone else takes the subway to Gern. From there it's barely five minutes. There is a playground nearby for children.

No food stars since I only had beer and radler. Great atmosphere, kids friendly biergarden Update: Went again, this time for lunch, 5 stars :)

It's a shame that I was only allowed one cut, even though the beer garden was rather poorly attended due to the weather. Even when I mentioned that I didn't care what was required for the cut, it still wasn't possible.

Beautiful classic Munich beer garden. The currywurst was good, although the fries could have been a little fresher. Unfortunately, in the triple spread selection, the Obatzte was the weakest link in the chain; quite dry and not at all creamy, while the herb cream cheese and beetroot dip tasted quite good.

Great evening atmosphere, open until 11pm and good selection of dishes!

Overcrowded, overrated, portions a joke considering the prices

Unfortunately I have to delete my 4-star review from 5 years ago. The perceived quantity and quality of spare ribs has fallen sharply since then (straw pig inflation?), but the price has risen by around 50%. A pity.

Spare ribs and a portion of fries were enough and good for two!

Am Sonntagmittag im Taxisgarten eingekehrt. Ruhiger, schöner Ort. Essen, Selbstbedienung, Getränke ebenso. Hochpreisig. Leider war es der Küche nicht möglich am Sonntagmittag um kurz vor 13:00Uhr (!!!) einen Krustenbraten mit Kruste herzustellen. Diese war komplett wie Gummi. Viel Fett ansonsten. Kartoffelsalat in üblicher Kantinenqualität. Ein Armutszeugnis für einen bayerischen Biergarten. Für € 15,20 anstellen und zahlen und wegtragen. € 9,80 wären hier höchstens angemessen. Darum lieber selber Essen mitbringen dort verzehren das Ambiente genießen und Bier trinken.

A nice beer garden with good food! Prices moderate!

The quality of the food has declined significantly this year. The potato salad is made from old, hard potatoes that have already developed a dry skin. Greetings to the chef, no, it's not enough to soak them in oil and vinegar, the consistency is just disgusting. The Obazda is just bad, old, musty and tasteless and by far the worst in the city. The ribs were a disgrace last time, not properly prepared, the fat had a strange taste, as if it hadn't been fried properly. Nice atmosphere and coziness, but if you value the food you should bring your own and then consider whether HB beer is worth it, the food definitely isn't.

Möglicherweise fehlen ihr dann ein,, "paar" Millionen. Aber das wird sie sicher auch kaum "jucken". ARMES DEUTSCHLAND WOHIN GEHT DEIN WEG. Der Schankkellner Helmut ist eine beleidigende Zumutung für Gäste. "Er entscheidet wer was trinkt. Nicht der Gast"

A nice beer garden with old trees, in my opinion the prices are a bit too high for what is on offer. The stripped ones are expensive (€5.40) but worth the money when they are fresh, but they are not always. The same applies to the spare ribs (€18.90), which I no longer use when they come out of the warming box.

A beautiful beer garden with delicious food and where you can also eat what you brought with you (according to Bavarian tradition, drinks have to be bought on site). The Taxisgarten next door is particularly nice with a nice playground for children and a public toilet.

Had a wonderful afternoon with the children in this wonderful beer garden. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the kitchen there is geared towards a gluten-free diet. The chef was very knowledgeable and was able to confirm that, for example, the fries were prepared in their own deep fryer. All sausage products are also gluten-free. Therefore, in my opinion, suitable for guests with celiac disease.

One of the manageable but very nice beer gardens in Munich. Always a perfect starting point if you want something nice to eat before a concert in the Olympic Park. Accordingly, depending on the concert, the beer garden is filled with other fans, but also families and other visitors. The beer is from HB and the food is absolutely ok too. The chicken could be a bit crispier, but that's complaining at a high level.

Beautiful traditional beer garden under chestnut trees. Small children's playground with slide and swing. Popular with families and “locals” (not overrun with tourists or stag parties like the Augustiner or Hirschgarten). Food selection typical of beer gardens and rather high priced; Good quality (the ribs are recommended!).

Super nice beer garden just outside the city and therefore not overcrowded. The beer was delicious and the food looked good too. But we had something with us, which of course works here. The coffee was ok too. After a few hours of rest we happily left.

An oasis in the middle of the city

Very annoying price increase every year, the measure is now 10.60, that's almost Oktoberfest prices. In the future I'll go to other beer gardens, which are also very nice and have had stable prices for years!! It can't be justified by saying that the breweries determine the beer price, otherwise that would apply to all innkeepers!!
