The food is good, the service attentive. It's a tourist magnet.

All in all, it was good. The waiter was nice and charming, and the food arrived very quickly. My onion roast beef side dish consisted of 90% fried onions and 10% potatoes, apart from the meat. That's disappointing at that price. I also took my child over to the aprons. It was nice. The beer garden must be great in the summer.

Food: Hearty, meat-heavy, good, traditional fare. The service made several mistakes. The bar staff appears to be untrained, as all the beers in our group of about 30 people were clearly NOT filled to the fill line. Even pointing this out and asking for it to be rectified didn't result in full glasses. Too bad, I won't be back... The ambiance is that of a classic brewery. It has a bit of a train station feel.

We were there with a large group of about 20 people, but with a reservation, we had plenty of space. The soup to start was very tasty. The main course was only reheated, which is generally acceptable, but for the price, I would have expected the food to be at least hot, not lukewarm. Furthermore, side dishes for the roast pork were offered for an additional €5.50. Only two dumplings were included in the price. The service was okay, although sometimes the staff weren't very friendly. I was reprimanded because, after several orders, I wanted to order an appetizer in advance, and they said everything had to be canceled. Unfortunately, we weren't informed of this beforehand. All in all, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and it's certainly even nicer in the beer garden in the summer. In my opinion, the prices are too high for the service and the quality of the food.

Great atmosphere, large indoor and outdoor areas. The food is delicious, high-quality, and there's definitely something for everyone. Only one or two waiters are occasionally a bit overwhelmed/slow, but that can happen at the end of the day.

We spontaneously visited the Augustiner Schützengarten with a Städteherz voucher and were absolutely delighted! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive; we immediately felt welcome. The menu was simply superb: The beef consommé with pancake strips as a starter was wonderfully rich and aromatic, the beef sirloin with Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) was cooked to perfection and seasoned superbly. For dessert, we had apricot dumplings with vanilla sauce – divine! All in all, a fantastic experience with excellent food and top-notch service. We will definitely be back – highly recommended! 👏🍽️

We had a truly lovely evening at the Augustiner Schützengarten. The pork knuckle was excellent – ​​beautifully crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the sauce with the dumplings was a perfect complement. The shandy was also very well mixed and refreshing. The service was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is rustic, cozy, and inviting – typical Bavarian. The only minor drawback: the tables are unfortunately quite close together. Overall, though, a fantastic experience that I would gladly recommend.

The service was terrible, the food was ok. No one informed us that the kitchen closes at 9pm and we couldn’t order dessert. The waiter did a very poor job and kept forgetting items from the order. Won’t come back as it left a bad impression with my guests

We spontaneously booked a table for nine people that same evening from the ICE train to Munich, and it actually worked out. 👍 The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious and plentiful. 😋

The food and drink was really good, I love the atmosphere and I had a good time with my friends. However the servers were very dispassionate, almost borderline rude. I could tell they had a busy day and were probably in over their head, however, as a service provider myself, that doesn't excuse this kind of attitude. That was the only thing that dampened the experience slightly, so I can't give full 5 stars.

The beer garden is one of the most beautiful places in Munich. The food is okay. Adequate for a beer garden. It's quiet and cozy, which is why people go there.

What a wonderful discovery! Having visited many of the well-known beer gardens in the city centre, I found Augustiner Schützengarten to be a truly refreshing experience. The atmosphere is fantastic – spacious, relaxed, and authentic, without the overwhelming crowds of tourists you often find elsewhere. The food was outstanding: everything we ordered was perfectly prepared, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. From the schnitzels to the käsespätzle and roasts, each dish was genuinely delicious. The service matched the quality of the kitchen – attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout. The menu offers a great variety of Bavarian classics alongside Augustiner’s excellent beers, and the whole place is spotless and well-kept, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. All in all, this beer garden feels more genuine and local than many in the centre of Munich. A perfect spot for anyone who wants to enjoy great Bavarian food and beer in a warm, authentic setting. Highly recommended!

What I didn't like was that they charged you for the mayonnaise and mustard you consumed. I think that should be included in the cost of the food you bought. I even thought they were going to charge me for the use of the cutlery and dishes as well.

A lovely beer garden with large trees that provide good shade even in midsummer, making it pleasantly cool underneath. Parking is available, albeit limited. We were there around midday, so it wasn't a problem getting one. Unfortunately, the Augustiner (!) beer garden didn't have any non-alcoholic Augustiner beer, which was a real shame. The non-alcoholic drinks (e.g., blackcurrant spritzer) are only available in 0.4L, which led to confusion and unnecessary arguments with the bartender, who was quite unfriendly to us, when we wanted to order 1L of the spritzer: "Two 0.4L bottles aren't a liter, so the stein isn't quite full." However, the 1L price was charged at the cash register.

Spacious and beautiful space. The beer is delicious, but the food is sometimes a bit salty. Because the restaurant is crowded, it's quite noisy. If you want to experience this place, make a reservation in advance.

We were here for dinner. The restaurant is decorated in a rustic Bavarian style. There are several rooms inside and plenty of seating outside. The staff were mostly very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the wait times are quite long. The meal took about 45 minutes, which is acceptable. But we waited almost as long for dessert, which I think is a bit long for a small dessert. The restaurant was "normally" busy and far from full or crowded. The outside area was closed. Everyone enjoyed the food itself, and it was plentiful. The prices are reasonable for Munich. The dessert was also very good, despite the long wait.

We've been there regularly in the evenings for a nightcap. The seating is great, it's really big and there's plenty of space. The staff is very friendly and the beer tastes great. Unfortunately, we didn't eat.

It's far too expensive here. On our first visit, we noticed that the friendliness is already diminishing with the small number of customers. When you ask at the beer counter where to pay, they tell you where to pay, instead of pointing with their hand. Two drinks, a small half chicken, and a pretzel cost almost €40. That was our first and last time here. And at those prices, it's self-service. Therefore, two stars are more than sufficient; in my opinion, it's not worth more. So decide for yourself whether you go here or not. Restrooms, well, see for yourself, no comment.

The Schützengarten beer garden is beautiful and one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired—the value for money isn't right at all. The portions are far too small, the price is outrageous, and the food is served rather carelessly by the staff. The beer garden is definitely recommended for a beer, but I would bring my own food.

We've been here quite often because it's practically around the corner. A really nice beer garden in the middle of Munich; you can always find a spot under the shady trees. The atmosphere is cozy, not crowded, just what you'd expect from a Bavarian beer garden. The Gustl always tastes good here: fresh, good, and everything like you'd expect from Augustiner. Everything just fits, it feels like home. It's a bit of a shame that the food isn't quite the same as it used to be. We know that for the masses, things have to be quick, but right now everything looks a bit sloppy. Not particularly tasty, the selection is pretty limited, and to be honest, I haven't seen a grilled fish in ages; it's probably only available very occasionally. Compared to some other well-known beer gardens in Munich, the culinary offerings seem a bit weaker. Verdict: Perfect for a cozy beer, but you can definitely add a little extra to the food. This rating refers to the beer garden only.

The beer garden is nice, but the beer is poorly poured and pre-tapped at 35 degrees Celsius. The water is also pre-poured and almost warm. The beer is okay, but the food is too expensive for self-service. Well, that's Munich! Otherwise, everything is clean, including the outdoor restrooms.

Since Augustiner has been here, the beer garden and the service area are always full; the chicken and pretzels are very good; there is a new wooden deck and, in addition to the usual benches, there are also tables with chairs without service.

The atmosphere is really good. It's a pretty beer garden. But the food was quite expensive and not that tasty. The beer is good, so bring your picnic and buy the beer. Or eat at the restaurant. They have some good dishes not more expensive than the self service. We regret that we spend our money on that food. It wasn't worth it for that price.

11:30 a.m. The table was obviously being set up for a large event. Several waiters are now standing around, and I, as a single guest, am being consistently ignored. After no one comes, I want to move to the beer garden. There, too, no one manages to hand me anything over the bar for five minutes. I leave after a total of 20 minutes.

From Marcella's planning to the ceremony itself (Helena, you were the secret star of the party), everything was flawless. Always friendly and helpful, even our little guests' special requests were no problem. The outdoor area was lovingly prepared by the team. The food and drinks were excellent.
