Always happy to come here. Large beer garden with seating for up to 2,500 outside. Feel free to bring food with you and enjoy a beer on a comfortable bench with friends! Just had a few beers outside today and then sat half inside and ate delicious cordon bleu and deer goulash 😊 right 👍 Great weather today and ate very well, and of course drank a beer, festival 🍺 Ate 300 gr. steak 😇 Which was right 😋

Good restaurant and very nice beer garden.

The restaurant has a cozy, spacious feel with a warm atmosphere. The food was good, portions were generous, and prices felt reasonable for today’s economy. Personally, I found the food a bit too oily for my taste, but that’s just a matter of preference—a "Geschmackssache". The service was friendly, though there’s room for improvement in professionalism. When I ordered a side of vegetables and asked what types were included, the waiter laughed and replied, “Gemüse halt!” It felt a bit dismissive, though I’m sure he didn't mean any harm. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit with nice food, and I’d still recommend it for a relaxed meal in a welcoming setting.

Very tasty food, highly recommended

The beer garden has two areas. One area is half covered and has services. In the second area you have to take care of yourself at the counter. Wonderfully located under large trees with an adjacent meadow, simply very relaxing. A wonderful opportunity to organize football or other activities on the meadow. Very nice and suitable for children. The roast pork for under €16 is highly recommended. The Augustiner beer needs no description :)...

We came spontaneously, unfortunately there was no space available. However, a place at a bar table was temporarily offered because it was assumed that someone would definitely leave soon. Less than 10 minutes later the time had come. In short: very tasty food, typically Bavarian, very attentive service, great atmosphere. That's what we imagine as tourists when we go to Munich. Prices seemed relatively cheap to us for what was on offer. very fair.

Was there as a guest for a silver wedding anniversary. Everything was right. Food was good, conditions were nice and attentive, beer was good.

I was here for the first time. The waitress really did a great job, even though it was noticeable that she was ailing. We were more people than stated in the reservation, and she handled that really well, despite moving the tables 🙈 Food and drinks were good. The prices are absolutely ok. There is a point deduction because the room (Kitzalm) we were in was rotting terribly. Like a damp basement. I only saw the beer garden in the dark, but I could still see that it is certainly beautiful there in summer.

Away from tourism, delicious food, nice service and a rustic atmosphere. And in summer there is also a great beer garden.

We would first like to thank you very much for hosting our wedding in September 2024. Despite some challenges, we ended up having a wonderful day, thanks largely to the great food and excellent service from the waiters. It was a successful celebration for us and our guests, and we really appreciate the efforts. However, we would also like to provide constructive feedback so that future events can run more smoothly. After a very positive start, the vote decreased significantly after the rehearsal dinner. Without warning, we were assigned a new contact person who was initially not informed about our arrangements. In addition, there was no response to our emails and calls for a long time, so we had to go by in person to clarify the status of things. A nice waiter finally spontaneously helped us and informed us that there had been a change in personnel. The new event management later got in touch, but communication continued to be difficult. Some questions remained unanswered, and suddenly things that were originally possible, such as additional side dishes to the BBQ menu, were no longer possible. Another point that surprised us was the rental fees for a sofa lounge on the terrace, which was not previously part of the arrangements and is on the terrace by default and was also there on our day. The table length, which was communicated very often, was also not adhered to. According to me, the florists had problems with the decoration and the guests didn't have enough space. This shouldn't happen. Mistakes can happen, but our deposit was not deducted from the final invoice and seriously incorrect items and uncoordinated amounts were billed. What was particularly shocking was the different rental invoice, which was not approved in advance and was calculated much lower in the original offer. We would have liked more transparent communication here. Nevertheless, we were very pleased that you accommodated us with a credit and invited us to dinner again. We greatly appreciated this sign of accommodation and see it as a positive conclusion. We hope this feedback helps to further improve your internal processes and thank you again for your efforts.

Augustiner on tap is great, but that's about it. The quality of the food in the self-service area has been really bad several times. If nothing changes we will no longer eat here. Fries: are served out old and stale, instead of freshly prepared. Hendl: anything but crispy and crispy, meat bland. The price/performance ratio is not right front and back. This urgently needs to be improved, otherwise you will lose guests! Please concentrate on a few classics and do them really well... we don't understand why there is so much sloppiness here.

This is my worst experience of a so called restaurant ever! The staff is rude, and the service is under par, by far! The first waiter we met: make a statement about the kitchens closing time! (We arrived at 20:20) and this mentaly low gifted person! Felt the need, to tell us: this instead of welcome our buisness. The kitchen closes att 21:00! We had allredy decided what to eat, and made it clear! That we would order directly! This triggerd the waiters college!? To interfer with the statement: we understand your english! You go sit! Where ever you whant! And we will serve you! So we found a free table (not so hard. Only a third of the tables where occupied) and spent 20-30! Minutes of beeing ignored! Then a new waiter showed up with one menue!? Fore two persons. (We had realy! Allredy decided what to eat, and drink! But she just brushed us of! After 15 more minutes of beeing ignored. We decided to leave, without ordering anything. We walked back to our hotell. And on the way, we saw a kebab "hole in the wall" Who where more than happy, to feed us! And i hade the best kebab ever! And this kebab is the only positiv result of this evening! I will recomend all tourists to stay clear of this menace to food/tourist industry! Save your money! Go somwhere else!

We were in the self-service part of the beer garden. I didn't like the food. The rolled roast had no fresh taste and the sauce had a strange aftertaste. The Augustiner non-alcoholic was good and fresh. The service staff was friendly and patient.

Popped in for beer before hotel registration! Fantastic garden space and service was exemplary with added advice on the October fest ! Thank you .

“Skilled workers” …a table without a tablecloth was taken next to a wedding party (tables with a white tablecloth), but the waiter said “not here, wedding party”… Seated two rows away - no waiter despite waving! After another 6 minutes the waiter comes and says at 9:02 p.m.: “The kitchen is now closed”! These personnel (so-called “skilled workers”) are harmful to sales!!

We found a place outside, were then directed to another one, and it was before 9 p.m. Despite trying to draw attention to themselves, they were left sitting there until after 9 p.m. And last but not least, you hear that the kitchen has closed, even though this waiter had previously served food to another table. Impudence!!!!!

This establishment blatantly cheats English-speaking tourists. English menu indicates "cordon bleu" pork cutlet and states "choose one side" from a list of French fries, spatzle, potato and cucumber salad, fried potatoes, mixed vegetables with herbs, or a side salad. I asked the waiter "so I get to select a side from this list?" and he responded "yes". I asked if he had a particular recommendation, but he did not offer one. I asked if the spatzle was good, and he indicated it was. I said I would try it. When the bill was tallied up, it came to 51,50 euro. It was not itemized. After paying, I felt the bill was high so I asked to see it broken down. It showed a charge of 8,90 euro for the spatzle (in addition to 6,20 euro for one liter of tap water, which is shown on the menu). The English menu simply lists the sides, while the German menu version states, "We would be happy to serve you:" and has the prices next to each of the sides. The German menu clearly indicates that sides are extra, while the English menu, and the waiter, both indicated one side was included. From the moment the waiter approached us, I felt a sense of being mocked, and in the end I was correct. This is a reprehensible restaurant and it is shameful that they choose to defraud visiting language-challenged customers.

For me it is too noisy and the space of the seats are too small. The foods are excellent.

The guests were very enthusiastic about the location and the team that was always on hand. The kitchen also did a great job that evening. Had dinner there on two evenings from Heidelberg. The food is amazing! The waitresses are also super friendly and funny. The next time we are in Munich we will definitely come back!

Munich's most beautiful beer garden. Great facility with a large beer garden. Not too crowded with tourists. The beer garden with a large tavern also offers good food, fresh and tasty. Very nice place, sunny beer garden. I was first in the self-service area, where my beer mug was definitely underfilled and there was also no carbonation. In the serving area, the drinks were full and without gas, including the Aperol Spritz. Roast pork lukewarm, dumplings too firm. It was better 1-2 years ago.

Super tasty food in good portions in a traditional atmosphere

You should always start with something positive: the weather was great and sunny and thanks to the many trees in the beer garden there were enough shaded areas for children. Unfortunately, the playground is more than run down. A wooden toy train invites you to get injured because the wood is already very rotten and worn out. The swings are just a swing and there are leftover food and various other human remains in the sand. The next highlight was the order. At first there was no one to be found for ages, the person who came then was extremely rude (at least I think so because people simply couldn't understand Bavarian). My wish to get a Cola Weizen was not possible. Instead I was sold half a mug of black beer and a glass of cola so that I then had to pour the cola into the beer. I don't understand why you can't make a mixture directly. But that way you could sell two drinks instead of one. The last great experience was the 100 wasps that accompanied us during our visit, but the main reason for this was not our drinks, but simply the overfilled crockery boxes - which had been lying here since at least yesterday due to the smell and quantity. All in all we won't be coming back here again. Price performance is simply not there.

Der Biergarten an sich ist sehr schön. Das Essen kann ich nicht empfehlen. Die Spareribs waren unbeschreiblich, im negativen Sinn. Waren gekocht, und mit einer Soße bestrichen, die bereits getrocknet war. Es gab dann noch einen Schöpflöffel oben drauf. Nicht mal die Soße hat so geschmeckt, wie man es zu Spareribs erwartet. War ein richtiger Reinfall.

Were invited to a birthday. Very courteous and professional service (were in the local area and not in the beer garden). Food very tasteful and sufficient. Price-performance ratio fits. Munich prices. There is a point deduction because unfortunately we only come from one were able to choose from a reduced menu and not from the full menu like the other guests. It was probably because the kitchen wanted to ensure that our larger group received their food at the same time as possible (which worked perfectly). Still, it's a shame... we'd love to come back and look forward to the entire menu.

I tried to find a traditional biergarten with the best german bier and I found it. Nice and helpfull staff. Food was excellent and big portions.

Ofenkartoffel für 10,90 ist eine Unverschämtheit! Wir waren immer gerne dort, auch zum Essen. Nun gehen wir nur noch hin, wegen Augustiner. Essenspreise sind absolut überteuert. Abzocke! Schade!

At first glance it's a really nice beer garden. The food: If you don't want to eat meat, you can stick with cream mushrooms with dumplings (one of the most expensive dishes on the menu) or potato salad. I ended up eating meat because I already had cream mushrooms sticking out of my mouth (that also applies to cheese spaetzle). Unfortunately I have to say that the food was canteen quality, but unfortunately not beer garden quality. What really spoiled my appetite were the tons of flies that immediately pounced on our food. We also changed places, but the flies were back immediately. I don't know to what extent the owners of the beer garden can influence this (e.g. keeping the food waste bins where the dishes are returned closed) but it was very noticeable because I haven't experienced this in other beer gardens before. Since the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all, I won't be coming by again in the near future. It's a shame, because the beer garden itself looks very nice.

The food in the restaurant was, surprisingly, not overpriced. The waitress was very nice and the food was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. You can also bring your own food and sit in the beer garden.

These were the most horrible spare ribs I have ever eaten, of course I didn't eat them, old meat that seemed to have been frozen and thawed again. Very unfriendly service when serving food, but prices, you can really expect decent quality. I don't go there anymore.

Very nice beer garden, classic Bavarian dishes and delicious beer

The Augustiner Schützengarten is a rustically furnished inn including a Schützenstube with a large beer garden. The staff is very nice, the sanitary areas are clean and the guest room is decorated according to the motto. The Wiener Schnitzel and the Schützenpfanderl were okay. Unfortunately, both the schnitzel and the pork medallions were quite firm/tough. The Augustiner beer variations tasted very good. The apple strudel for dessert was also very tasty.

The food wasn't special this time. We then wanted to go over to the restaurant but everything was reserved there. Then we had to choose something greasy from the mini selection. Alcohol-free Augustiner from two bottles in the measure is probably a bit wrong, the main thing is that there are no half pints in the Bavarian beer garden 🤦‍♂️

Nice restaurant as a building and location but the rest is quite bad, at least the day I ate there with a group of Spaniards. Everyone complained about the food and how hot it was in the place where they put us. The staff was very unfriendly, because we asked for some bread and he replied with a RESPONSIBLE NO. I don't recommend it as a restaurant, although I do recommend it to have a beer on the terrace. Painful.

Unfortunately not a good experience in the self-service beer garden. High prices, small portions, tasteless food. We had spare ribs that were not edible, the meat tasted old, maybe it had been frozen beforehand. The baked potato with sour cream was okay, as was the large pretzel. So at least we had a little something in our stomachs. The selection of food was good, but the quality was not. We're just used to better things and we definitely won't come here anymore. Finally, something positive: the spacious yet clear playground is a highlight for parents with small children.
