The name suggests that the beer in this restaurant tastes particularly good. But the cuisine is also really down-to-earth and good. And for Munich, especially during the Oktoberfest, the prices are quite reasonable. Definitely an insider tip.

Ob das noch was wird? War mit Freunden auf ein Bier nebst Abendessen. Mein Wurstsalat war mehr als essigsauer. Der Krautsalat zum Schweinebraten von meiner Frau war überzuckert. Es gab nur ein Sommerbier, der Hausdrunk "Pilsisimus" war aus. Früher wurde die Forschung durch seinen "Blonden Bock" gerühmt. Die Qualität des jetzigen Bockes hat leider stark nachgelassen. Unseren nächsten Forschungsbesuch haben wir bis auf weiteres nach hinten geschoben, da es in der Vergangenheit immer wieder bei der Essensqualität haperte.

That's okay. Super. 2 baked schnitzels, Bsyrian salad. Top class. I had light, 2a half. Fits the boss's dream. . The upper class service will go there again. BEER GARDEN FULL, ANYTHING GOES.

I love being here! No matter whether in the beer garden or inside, you will always be greeted politely and served. The home-brewed beer has a unique, wonderful taste! The food on the menu is well selected, there is something for everyone and at a good price. I have taken almost everyone I know here and everyone went home satisfied, happy and well fed after the visit.

So I was aware that the service staff in Munich are basically a little less friendly than the German average. But my experience here beats everything. I got there in the sunshine. I sat down in a free spot in the shade, as there were only tables in the blazing sun. A servant whispered to me in an underground tone that the table wasn't set and that I should sit at another table. So I had to go to a table where the midday sun was shining. About 1 minute later a retired couple sat down at this uncovered table, which was no problem at all. A few minutes later I had a question for this service person. She looked at me and just kept walking. 0 stars for this lady. The service person who was responsible for us was friendly. The house beer was great. For dinner I had 2 small pieces of chicken breast with sour cream and grilled vegetables for €17.90. I thought it was a bit excessive for the portion size, but it was tasty. Personally, I won't take the route again to cycle there. You should always treat your guests with a little appreciation. Benevolent 3 stars because of the beer and the friendly service.

Unfortunately ordering beer for home is somehow problematic, 15 liter barrel to pick up, nothing came of it, called 4 times, now there's cold Augustiner in classic style

We've been there several times, but mainly to visit our brewing couple friends from the Hopfenhäcker creative brewery. This time we were there because there were a total of 3 craft beer brewers on site. The space in the beer garden was okay. The food for which the inn was responsible was rather average overall. The service staff from the inn, however, don't work at all. You rarely see something so unfriendly. I would recommend it here If you don't enjoy your job, look for something else .

Fantastic atmosphere... Especially during Starkbierzeit! Nothing changed... Rather went up in my personal ranking as a great place to go for good atmosphere, beer and food.

Very cozy guest garden. Very attentive and friendly service. Beer from our own brewery and from Hopfenhäcker. The beers from Hopfenhäcker (including the non-alcoholic ones) are particularly highly recommended.

Small beer garden and romantic guest rooms are ideal for tasting the various beer specialties.

By a Bavarian beer garden we mean that we can buy drinks and bring a small snack with us. Attention: Unfortunately, this is not welcomed there. Since the two of us only ordered 2 measurements, we were not allowed to sit under the parasol, but had to sit at the "cat table" in the blazing sun. Although 3 tables under the parasol were free, we were not allowed to swap places for alleged reasons of turnover.

The full beer Hell was delicious and drinkable. Wheat beer was also very tasty. The beer garden is Bavarian and cozy. We ate cheese spaetzle and roast pork. Both were very tasty. The price for two people with a tip was €60, which was totally OK. was. Service was friendly and helpful. Is recommended.

Probably the best beer garden around Munich (if the service is good [e.g. the good Ute], otherwise: “service desert” ☝🏼😁🙈). The selection of draft beers is excellent, as is the quality. The wheat is absolutely world class and simply has to be ordered, complemented by a special beer. “Research schnitzel” and “o’gmachter Kas” are highly recommended, the pretzel or bread side dish could have been a little fresher, but that is completely irrelevant when you then push a steamed dumpling with a rich vanilla sauce through the food hatch. 😋

Unfortunately, even in summer, warm food is only served here until 8:30 p.m. So much potential to be set to music, it's a real shame. . The beer tastes very good, but the time when you went to the pub to drink beer is long gone.

Once again in “research”. We (not Munich residents/both gastro people) actually only agree on one thing... at the beginning there is the "Obadzte". The beer (I Hell, he Pils). The food (Schweini, the donkey Hendl). After that (he wobbles, I schnapps😁). And we both had fun. Simple, tidy, inexpensive and always worth the walk from Perlach station (parking spaces? God forbid...). The staff (Petra? Christian {the new?} Gerald) are simply good people and while smoking a chat with the boss over the garden fence... something like that is becoming increasingly rare. Ok, we agree on that too. And that we will come back. Assuredly.

I would like to describe my experience as an Afro-German in the Bräustüberl of the research brewery: I have always been a big fan of the Bräustüberl. But maybe I need to rethink this now! Last week (02/16/24) I just wanted to have a pint of beer at 5:30 p.m. However, I was rudely denied a seat, supposedly because of overcrowding, even though most of the tables were empty and only reserved from 7 p.m. and I had said I would be gone in half an hour. The older couple behind me were immediately offered a table with the same explanation 😳❓ When I asked, nothing was explained or discussed; I was simply thrown out nonchalantly! ...hmm...Biodeutsche first in the Bräustüberl Munich-Perlach? 🤔

A very nice inn, with very tasty food, very nice staff and, perhaps coincidentally on the evening I was here, live music. If it wasn't so far to drive, I would stop here regularly.

Bier is one of the best in Munich, the food (especially schnitzel) was also very good. Fast and friendly service, life music and acceptable prices, easy parking. One can not wish for more

I have been a regular guest since 1990 and a regular musician at the research brewery since spring 2006. But since the Silbernagl family handed over the business to the Achhammer family, almost everything has gotten worse. Marina Achhammer was more interested in politics than in gastronomy; her son Michael's shoes as a landlord are several sizes too big. As musicians we were harassed, long-time service staff (I know them by name) threw in the towel. Although the host family no longer wanted to hire me as a musician, I had a table for five people reserved in time for the strong beer tapping last year. A few hours before the event began, Michael Achhammer canceled my appointment by phone without giving any reason. I will never forget that.

Very cozy economy. Here you can sit, chat and drink a beer. The food is solid, nothing great, but in keeping with the atmosphere, it's good, traditional Bavarian. Prices are absolutely fine. Service very nice and quick. And the best thing: you can fish sheep's head here 👍🏼😃

In my opinion a real insider tip, but off the beaten track. Nice quaint shop, the portions are huge and super tasty. The cheese spaetzle was the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely make a reservation on the weekend. But the store was also well filled on Thursday. Food came very quickly and the service was brilliant. Great evening.

Eigentlich immer gute Speisen und Bier sowieso, allerdings stark zu bemängeln war letztens der Sahne Wirsing, grottenschlecht, da nicht viel von Wirsing zu sehen oder schmecken, war nur weiße Mehlsahnepampe.Das geht besser etwa Wirsing natur oder nur etwas Sahne ohne Mehlbindung.Schade

Wirklich tiptop Service und super essen! Man darf hier sogar sein Essen aus anderen Lokalen im Gastraum verzehren und E-Zigaretten rauchen. Im Winter ein super Biergarten Ersatz :)

Sonntagmiitag war das Restaurant gut gefüllt, trotzdem lief der Service reibungslos, zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Portion sehr gut. Sowohl das Forschungsschnitzel als auch der Hackbraten sind sehr zu empfehlen. Und die verschiedenen Sorten Bier die man nicht in jedem Getränkemarkt bekommt sind wirklich eine Empfehlung wert. Man kann sie übrigens auch in Flaschen für daheim erwerben. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr authentische, bayrische Gaststätte mit sehr leckeren Essen, einer sehr sympathischen, zu Späßchen aufgelegten Bedienung in nettem Ambiente. Alle von uns bestellten Speisen haben super geschmeckt, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Man fühlt sich auch als "Nicht-Bayer" super willkommen. Wir waren wochentags, hatten aber reserviert, was gut war - die Gaststätte war sehr gut besucht. Und: wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ambiente = bayrische Gemütlichkeit geschmackvoll eingerichtet, eine "Wirtschaft" eben - "Restaurant" wäre zu vornehm ausgedrückt... Biergarten gibt's a! Nix wie hin! 😃

Extrem unfreundliche Bedienung. Zitat: "Sie können hier nicht sitzen, wir können sie nicht bedienen, wir sind nur zu zweit, wir können diesen Tisch nicht für Sie aufmachen (der halbe Biergarten war leer), gehen Sie weg." Vier Bedienungen saßen ums Eck und haben geraucht und geratscht. Die wollen keine Kunden! geht dort nicht hin! man soll nicht kommen!

Typische bayrische Gerichte. Alle fanden es lecker und Preis - Leistung für hier war ok. Das Bier sehr lecker 😋. Die Kellner/Kellnerin waren nett und aufmerksam.

Sehr frisches und leckeres Bier in mehreren Sorten. Zu essen hatten wir einen Salat mit Rinderfiletstreifen sowie Leberkäs mit Kartoffelsalat, beide Gerichte deutlich über dem üblichen Biergartenniveau. Viel lokales Publikum und Radfahrer. Der Biergarten ist relativ klein und nicht laut, man kann sich gut unterhalten. Parkplätze vorhanden.

Servus miteinander, wer Bier liebt, kommt um diesen Ort nicht herum. Das Glaser'l kostet vielleicht a biss'l mehr, ist aber jeden Cent wert und hebt sich deutlich vom großen Münchner Bierangebot ab. Da traut sich der Braumeister noch was und, ..., ...er kann es!!! Essen ist bayrisch, hervorragend. Ich freue mich immer, wenn man den Schnitzelklopfer aus der Küche noch hören kann. Ein Kleinod am Stadtrand Münchens. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Hier herrscht nicht Schickimicki vor sondern Braukunst. Das Essen ist passabel und der Wirt schließt auch schon mal vor den veröffentlichten Zeiten wenn zu wenig los ist. Seis drum.. Doch das Bier ist exzellent! Vor allem das „ Flower Power“ hat es mir buchstäblich angetan : gehaltvoll, blumig frisch, eine unterschwellige hopfige Süße .. vergleichbar mit dem TAP5 von Schneider aber ohne dass es dich gleich umhaut ( über 8 Volumenprozent Alkohol) hat dieses Bier gemäßigte 5,6 % . Die Bedienung ist freundlich ohne anbiedernd zu sein, das Ambiente ist solide bayrisch ohne überbayuwarisiert zu sein.. da kann man sich wohlfühlen

Eine sehr coole Anlaufstelle wenn man mal ein etwas anderes Biererlebnis möchte. Es gibt auch das klassische Helle, das Hauptaugenmerk liegt aber eher auf etwas anderem. Die Speisen sind gut, der Service ist bombastisch. Kann man als Anlaufstelle in Perlach nur empfehlen.
